so I got one surprising stat for you guys for Caleb Williams coming out of that week one Victory against the Tennessee Titans that I think might surprise you guys so let's get into this what is going on yall fos for all back at it with another video talking of course manl here to talk about the Chicago Bears if you're a Bears fan guys what are you doing hit that subscribe button you know you want to you know you need to and you should go ahead and do that and turn on the Bell icon so you're notified every time I drop a new video because I do so very often all right so here we go the the one surprising stat coming out of week one for Caleb Williams that I did not expect was that he had the fastest time to throw out of all quarterbacks in the NFL in week one now this stat is coming from throw the damp Paul uh this is from uh one of the Riders at PFF and he basically put up this graph which shows the fastest time to throw versus the ad dot for all qub backs in week one ad do means average depth of Target and so Caleb as you can see by the graph here has the fastest time to throw so that's all the way on the left side but and here's the bad part he's all the way on the bottom left which means he had one of the lowest a dots in week one out of all quarterbacks now I want to knowe this excludes scrambles so that's key to focus on here but yeah yes Caleb essentially was up there with Tua Aaron roders and Dak in terms of the fastest time to throw in the NFL now I mentioned he had one of the lowest a dots but why is this stat surprising to me why do I want to bring in this up I want to bring this up because the fact is during that week one Victory Caleb even though the stats were absolutely awful and Caleb was inaccurate he was still getting the ball out quick and I believe it was getting to the right spot but obviously it was not accurate that was a big problem and this is key because our offensive line especially on the interior was awful and so you cannot unfortunately looks like be a quarterback that takes a long time to throw behind this offensive line if they continue their poor play now I want to just mention on the graph we had our previous quarterback Justin Fields he had the longest time to throw in week one and we know he had that as one of his main issues I don't want to talk about Justin and certainly bad things about him but I'm just bringing this up for context which is one of Justin's weaknesses was that he would hold on to the football too long and he would take too long to throw and that would result in him scambling a lot and making plays like that but I want my quarterback to get the ball out quick and I want him to be accurate and I don't want want him to rush as much just because I want him to you know obviously be healthy and upright and that's the good thing with Caleb here is he is getting the ball out quick and it makes sense because the interior of the offensive land was getting blown up Coleman Shelton was absolutely awful Nate Davis was terrible even though PFF says otherwise but my point is it was bad it was bad for uh Caleb and this offensive line so so the other thing here the average depth of Target that's unacceptable we cannot turn this Bears offense into the horizontal raid all right Shane waler needs to fix this uh quickly now you have to obviously mitigate a bad oine by getting the ball out quick but I don't want just bubble screen passes and you know dump offs or anything just just like that I need to be able to challenge you know uh down the field teams down the field and for that get creative right play action a bootle get Caleb a little bit on the move you don't necessarily have to run him but you know get him on the move don't just have him stationary but yeah man so to me just looking at these numbers here I like the fact that he's getting the ball out quick and it's going to have to be the case with this Old Line play now we're not going to play a a team like the Titans who have a dominant interior dline every single week but you are going to obviously deal with uh some good defenses here overall not too worried here um I want to just just see Caleb continue to improve and continue to clean up those things that he can like the baded passes right like the inaccuracy issues he needs to just clean those up and that's pretty much it but it's encouraging to see that he's getting the ball out quick he's looking at the right spots and now it's just a matter of hey let's hit these passes let's make sure my passes don't get batted at the line of scrimmage and it's tough to do all that obviously when you're getting pressure right up your face um and so that's on obviously the coaching staff to be able to get these guys to to play better on the offensive line and the o line just to play better right so if we need to make some changes let's go ahead and do that maybe Ryan Bates needs to go into the center spot because Coleman shett got blown up all game so we got to make those adjustments people but it's week one I'm not too worried yet we see some encouraging signs here so I wanted to share that with you guys so let me know what you guys think man leave a comment down below with your thoughts as always thanks for watching
