[Music] hey it's Camille welcome back to my channel and happy birthday to president Nelson he's 100 years old today now when this video comes out it will be a belated happy birthday but I'm so happy for him I'm so happy that we've like reached this point where we have a prophet that's 100 years old after reading the Bible for years and thinking about Moses and Noah and how these men were like really old like 600 years we have a prophet that's reached 100 years so it's the first prophit of this dispensation to reach this landmark and it's like so happy so today in lie of sharing my come follow me favorite scripture I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes by President Nelson it was it was actually really hard to pick out a favorite um I have this notes which I'm going to go through in a future video of all of the messages that he shared in general conference since he became a prophet and as I was going through I just thought oh that's a good one oh that's a good one um but this one just really spoke to me today and so that's why I decided to share it but it's from the October 2020 General Conference and I believe that this was like at the beginning of the conference so it was before he even gave his actual talk in the conference but he invited us to use this unique time we know what was going on in 2020 he said use this unique time to grow spiritually and Ponder a promise the Lord made whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God which is quick and Powerful which shall divide a under all the cunning and all the Ws of the devil and lead the disciple of Christ in a straight and narrow course choose to lay hold upon the word of God feel the Lord's perfect love for you and I really loved that because I feel like study and come follow me this year has really brought that more into my life as I've as I've studied the word of God I feel like all of the controversy that are going on in the world have been just made so much more clear and almost become not unimportant but just how do I say that I feel like I feel like I know I have a work to do and it's more important to focus on the good work that I can do every day and focus on the word of God and feel his love for me and share his love with others than it is to worry about some of these issues that the world World chooses to worry about because honestly I've come to see more and more that even in the scriptures these examples are really clear that the more people come to Christ and learn of him the more peaceful our countries and nations are and it's only from deviating from this path that causes so much contention and um Elder Christ offerson sh shares a really great quote about that in a talk that he gave a couple years ago um I'll see if I can find it by the end of the video but today I have it's laundry day I'm wearing my Scooby-Doo clothes I it's like the last outfit that I have I call it my Scooby-Doo outfit because it's like the I it's like Shaggy I I dress in these brown pants and the the green shirt so that's definitely on my list but other things that I need to do today are clean up the kitchen this morning I had the opening for my yoga student studio and I'll show a picture here I'm so grateful my friend took a picture because I was meaning to take video of it and I completely forgot I was so wrapped up in the moment but my friend took pictures so here's a few um and it was so fun we celebrated president Nelson's birthday by having a song from every decade since he was born so like we did the 1920s 30s 40s 50s and on all the way to the modern day and it was so fun it was so fun and also so weird trying to do yoga to this music but we had a lot of fun and I think that the girls had a lot of fun as well yeah just just as a final thing I'm so blessed to have a prophet I have a testimony that he truly is a prophet because I've read his words I've acted upon his words and I felt the Spirit come more fully into my life because of that so that's all I'll share in that regards but I hope that if you don't know who president Nelson is Russell M Nelson that you look him up because he really is a wonderful man whether or not you believe he's a prophet he's doing so much good in the world and I love I would share him and his words any day because I feel like he points us always to Christ so first again clean up the kitchen because oh and look I went on a tangent the reason why I need to clean up the kitchen is because I made muffins this morning for our yoga open house and so there's a mess and there's dishes from last night as well so I need to put those away clean up the kitchen um when I was cleaning out the yoga studio I had a box that I brought over that I needed to put away in my closet so I just need to put it away uh I'm not even sure where everything will go but I'll I'll try to do that today is also my husband's birthday this week so I want to try to make it special we don't really do huge things for birthdays we keep it pretty simple in my family but I don't know I just want to find maybe an extra special gift that he's not expecting cuz we always tell each other what we want but I want to try to see if I can find something special to give him and then of course finish the laundry and finally cooking dinner is a big one I'm also really sleepy because I was so nervous about the open house today that I like didn't sleep last night so I'm really tired again I feel like I'm a broken record am I saying that I'm tired in every single video I hope not I'm just a tired Mom oh my goodness but we'll get the these things done thank you so much for choosing to spend the day with me and let's do this [Music] oh [Music] I'm on my way to pick up the boys I only had time really to I only had time to clean the kitchen and do a couple loads of laundry um but hopefully I'll just be able to get home and do a lot more it's going to get chaotic once the family is home but I'm going to do what I can and it's been a nice day so watch now I'm going to make this pumpkin alfredo casserole from the recipe book that I've been pulling from recently and you know it sounds fallish to Pumpkin casserole we'll see how it goes I have about an hour to make it and then as far as laundry goes I'm almost done the other things on my list might not get done today [Music] I was wondering why it didn't look creamy it's because I forgot to add the beans so I put the beans in the food processor with some milk and it looks a little more creamy looks a little more goopy it's not going to be as well mixed because it was supposed to all go in the food processor together but I'm sure it'll be [Music] fine well it is 9:40 and I didn't get to finish everything that was on my list I washed all of my clothes but I'm still folding um I think I'm probably going to finish it tomorrow and I didn't I have the box here that I needed to put away in the closet and I didn't get a look up anything for Justin's birthday so that's going to get pushed till tomorrow but I hope that your day was amazing today I had a great day I mean it went a lot differently than what I thought but it was so fun and happy I got to see so many people that I love and is an amazing experience to teach my first class in my studio and have so many wonderful friends come support me and I don't know I'm just feeling really grateful watching president Nelson's birthday celebration was really neat it just the whole time it felt like you know that feeling of like this is unprecedented how cool like this is never going to happen again or I shouldn't say that
