yes now we know Los Angeles is the staging is staging the opening game of the US Men's National Team but the FIFA World Cup 26 will be enjoyed right across the country from Seattle in Washington state to Miami here in Florida via Texas and Missouri there are 11 worldclass stadiums and they will all be hoping to see the US play on their Turf the chances of that will depend on how well the team does of course it will be also staged in the hometown of of Kevin in in Philly so that's uh great to know you're going to have soccer in your backyard Kevin yes yes I am beyond excited about that Philadelphia PA aka the City of Brotherly Love uh you know this is a big deal very very big deal for us and right now the US are guaranteed three games and alongside with Los Ang Angeles Seattle will also have the honor of hosting the US Men's National Team in the group stage their FIFA World Cup Adventure will begin on the 12th of June 2026 let's head back to Rob Stone who is talking to US Men's National Team head coach Greg bur halter nice to see you both all right Greg thanks for joining us live so we just found out that your three games are going to be held in two cities on the west Coast Los Angeles and Seattle what's your reaction to staying on the west coast for all three games in the group stage wow wow is the first thing right when you think about LA and iconic Soccer City already hosted three World Cup finals with the men's World Cup in 1994 then the women's in 99 and the women's again in 2003 um hosted the USA Columbia game in the 1994 World Cup which we got the win and then you think about the rich tradition of Southern California producing tons of players for our program then you have LA Galaxy lafc Sofi Stadium a lot going on with LA but certainly an amazing venue for us so we're excited about that then thinking about Seattle with its Rich fan culture loud atmosphere in the stadium um I can I can already picture our bus driving to the stadium weaving through the city and having the march to the match uh seeing the fans it's going to be an incredible atmosphere in um in all three in all those stadiums always great support in Seattle for American soccer let's talk about home field advantage what type of value do you put on HomeField Advantage for your team at the World Cup in 2026 you know it's going to be big and it's not only about um the communities hosting the the World Cup it's about all the communities Across America really getting behind us and creating this wave of support that really pushes the team to try to go and reach New Heights so um you know we're really counting on the public getting behind us I'm excited for the public to get to know some of our players um and really and really get a personal connection with them because it's a great group of guys Greg we appreciate your time look forward to you this summer at Copa America on Fox but all signs leading to FIFA World Cup 2026 coach thanks for joining us thanks Rob
