Ryland Griffin to call that love tap would be I mean barely any contact and it wasn't like a hit it was just guys trying to huddle up and a little bit I mean barely any contact from the angle that we just saw it did not look like much but they're going to go to the monitor as officials love to do and we'll see what happens I think that would be B surprised if there's any call either way should be Alabama's ball after the stop great job in transition defense Davin Cosby taking advantage of the minutes that he's getting here early with Latrell ritel still out with head injury hopefully we'll see him back in action on Saturday against Tennessee but right now depth has been an issue with ritel out so Davin Cosby The Freshman a guy that can really shoot it from Deep steps up on that possession with the defensive play boy Bart lenx and Todd auson are talking about this a long time which is very [Music] concerning I can't believe we're having this [Music] discussion let's see what they've gone with we're not able to pick it up ball foul Alabama number three Ryland Griffin good his first night second team foul a dead ball foul on Ryland Griffin Nate oats lightting to him right [Music] now it had to be something other than what they showed here in the arena oh my god wow first on Griffin team foul number two on the Crimson tie and it will be free throws for Flanigan who is playing in this game after throwing a flagrant elbow that got him injected from the last contest but barely bumped by Riley Griffin and now he gets to shoot technical free throws okay second free throw missed so one of two for Flanigan and Alabama will have check that it will be oh miss will have possession of the basketball two free throws in the ball that's a negates a great defensive play by Cosby is Old Miss with a chance to extend this lead getting the ball back 19-13 Rebels with a lead they inbounded into the corner Baseline jumper up in Good by Morell that's a tough sequence there to say the least 2113 Rebels here is Sears the other way works it into a strat at top of the arc Aaron working against Flanigan goes left side keeps the dribble alive flips it in the corner to Cosby Davin trying to change direction goes to his right hands it off to Sears Mark working against the defender gets underneath the basket seven to shoot bounc past Nelson shot blocked he gets knocked to the deck no whistle there and here come the Rebels the other direction Caldwell in the front Court calwell runs into Nelson they fire it back out to Flanigan Flanigan lost the handle Ball's knocked away Scramble for it on the deck picked up by the rebels Flanigan kicks it into the right corner three is up three is good by Caldwell for o Miss man 25-13 Rebels on a crazy Play here's Nelson top of the arc fakes a three gets into the air fires it back to Sears now right side Cosby three in and out no good rebound Nelson lost it but picked up by Estrada drives in feeds it off tiab body lays it up counted and he is fouled by the 75 Defender shark Alabama getting on the offensive glass a huge three-point play opportunity things have not gone the way of the Crimson tied the last several possessions but mod diab body with the hustle play the finish and a chance to cut into this Rebel lead time out on the floor 11:21 remaining first half Miss 25 Alabama 15 here on the Crimson Tide sports network from Stay residence in is not just a room it's a residence proud to be the preferred Hotel partner of the Crimson Tide BP things got a little wonky there in the last few minutes and B's down 10 now yeah Alabama's making some mistakes and Old Miss has been able to C capitalize the rebel shooting 67% 10 for 15 3 for six from Beyond The Arc Alabama doing the job offensively but not able to get stops and thought we would see a little better job defensively by the Crimson Tide but you got to give the rebels credit they're a really good offensive team they shoot it well from the three-point line but right now three for six and you've got a guy in Alan Flanigan that we didn't think we'd see in this game but he is in and he's playing well leading the way for the rebels with six and he's one for one from the three-point line only shooting 177% from three in SEC play but right now we thought we would get the rebels best shot that's been the case but Alabama needs to settle down get some stops and keep attacking Mark Sears gotten free from knock down one three but B's got to get it done on the defensive end that's been the focus in practice the last couple of days and hopefully it pays off as this game progresses Grant Nelson Mark Sears Aaron estratus Sam Walters and mo diab body are the five on the floor for Alabama coming out of the timeout and that fivesome is standing at the center Court Circle right now encouraging each other huddled up talking about what they want to get done as the tide Trails by 10 with 1121 remaining in the opening half of play it'll be an n one opportunity for MO diabat The Freshman for the Crimson Tide out of Queens New [Applause] York he'll shoot one free throw and that one will be missed rebound claimed by CE and possession will belong to the rebels deab body a 46% free throw shooter overall on the year Flanigan with it had it poked away got it back gives it off at the elbow left side to Brandon Murray to defended by Walters throws it into the low post Cay working against Nelson tough shot airball rebound Fought For claimed by estrad and he runs the other way for Alabama Estrada working right side Walters all alone three two strong rebound control by Old Miss in the corner and they'll come the other direction in a hurry Murray Sam Walters has been wide open for two threes probably Alabama's best stand still three-point shooter not able to convert Rebels working at the top of the arc Cay CE say Lets a cutter go by with a shot clock down to 11 feeds it off to Morel Morel working against Nelson Morel to his right off the bounce at Deep three no good good contest there by Nelson in the rebound control by Bama Sears front Court Sears playing off of screen Sears right side of strata thought about a three spins away from trouble drives dishes Walters come on Sam short rebound playing by Flanigan then throws it off the leg of diabat but the ball will stay I believe with a crimson tie I think they're going to say he had a foot on the line it clearly went off of Mo diab but Flanigan had a foot on the Baseline and Sam Walters continues to struggle he's getting great looks and I can tell you the Scouting Report says don't let Walters get free from the three-point line he has on several occasions but has not yet made the rebels pay flanigans made a three Walters has missed four sometimes the numbers do lie and as there's the foul call on the inbounds play on ol Miss and Brandon Murray that'll be his first personal team foul number three on Old Miss inbounding it Baseline will be estron gets it to Sears in the corner Sears driving Baseline stops spins looks finds a Strada near Wing deep three rims out it was halfway down and popped out Bama is only one of eight make it one of nine now from three-point range Rebels getting in the paint Brandon Murray's leaner is Miss and a rebounding foul he's going to be whistled on the Crimson Tide cay was fighting to get in there but they say Grant Nelson is guilty of his second personal foul that's a big foul on Nelson trying to block out the seven-footer cay Mama forc a difficult shot but not able to close out the defensive possession Pringle checks in along with Cosby as Walters and Nelson will check out Rebels trying to inbound it from the Baseline they beat the clock getting it to Morell in the corner three rims out no good rebounded Stevenson for Alabama here comes the tide trailing by 10 25- 15 942 to go in the half Estrada drives lost it got it back Estrada to Pringle who pivots flips it over to Estrada Estrada back to Pringle inside throws it in the corner Stevenson 12 on the shot clock Stevenson in the paint back out to Estrada Estrada going Baseline pulls up from 15 no rebound tipped and controlled by Miss they'll flip it ahead giving it off to Murray Murray trying to work against Cosby Murray going to his left kicks it into the corner Morel all three bottom nobody went out on one of the best Shooters in the SEC he makes Bama pay in the lead goes to 13 again Sears with it top of the circle play it off the screen drives in tough leaner left hand it crawled over the front rim and Bama is back to an 11 good decision by Mark Sears took it inside the seven-footer didn't come over it looked like Mark wanted to pass it initially recognizing the shot blocker but when CEI took the step back Sears knocks down the floater Alabama's got to get stops against a hot shooting Rebel team Flanigan with the basketball on the wing dumps it off to Brandon Murray Murray trying to back his way down against Sears does get a couple of steps a third spins now shoots a jumper from 14 and got it to go [Music] 30- 17 oh miss here's Bamba the other way Estrada on the wing playing off the screen from Pringle drives dumps it off to Nick who makes a nice catch in traffic then lays it in for two nice pass from Aaron Estrada has made some mistakes in this game and taken some contested long twos which Nate o doesn't like but that was a nice pass inside and the Strong Finish By Pringle 11-point lead for the rebels Murray on the drive gets tripped and he'll go to the line to shoot a pair when we come back to Oxford 754 to go in this opening half of play Rebels leading bam a 30 to 19 on the Crimson Tide sports network from learfield when it comes to making plans you are the best what about those round trips which are perfect on your way Tide Sports Network for Alabama basketball we are at the Pavilion in Oxford Mississippi bam is trailing by 11 Brian passing 30 to 19 not exactly what I figured I'd see in the first few minutes of the first half well I thought you get a great effort from Old Miss I thought Alabama would be a little better defensively after what happened in rup Arena on Saturday but it's been the offense of Old Miss having its way here tonight the rebels 12 for 21 57% and right now the rebels four for n from the three-point line I think they may have taken one off the board but it's been Alabama not able to get stops against a hot shooting on this team and or the three-point numbers have been uh going the way of the Rebels on both ends of the floor Alabama's gotten really good looks but just 1 for9 11 % for the tide and Sam Walters who might be Alabama's best pure shooter when left alone he's been left alone but hasn't been able to convert 0 for four from the field and old misses good around the basket with shot blockers they've got a seven-footer they come in with a 7 foot5 Center but their perimeter defense is not quite as good against the three-point line B getting the looks for the most part but not able to convert those numbers need to flip it starts on the defensive end that's been the focus in practice since the Kentucky game but right now not a lot to show for it as Old Miss continues to get the ball around the basket and when they don't they're kicking it out to open three-point Shooters and Matthew Morell right now leading away for the rebels three for six from the field two for five from the three-point line and he's got eight points Tennessee a winner over Auburn 92 to 84 so the BS have a half game lead over Alabama at the moment old miss inbounding it for the Baseline they get it out High to Flanigan who will hand it back to breakefield 15 on the shot clock as breakefield works against Stevenson breakfield between the circles bounce past right side to Flanigan again he works against Griffin Flanigan at five Flanigan at four at three pulls up from 15 his jumper is good Flanigan makes it a 32-9 Old Miss Lead With 730 and tick time left in the opening half of Play here's Sears front Court playing off of a screen from Cosby now Davin right side three it rattled around popped up and then fell back through the net a big bank first three for Alabama from Davin Cosby Jr and the tide is back to within 10 but the rebels get a three on the other end miss it they rebound that Miss inside they'll Spin and then a foul is going to be called I believe on Cosby it will be and on Davin that'll be personal number one team foul number five on Alabama Old Miss has been called for three fouls so far in the half second chance opportunities big in the last couple of games for the opposition Alabama not able to get stops big three from Davin Cosby he's done a nice job on both ends of the floor getting an opportunity here tonight Baseline jumper rims out for the rebels Murray had that one go halfway down and pop out Bama the other way Cosby left side three no rebound weak side Griffin Ryland driving in pump fake fires it back Davin lets it Fly again too strong this time in the rebound is controlled by o Miss boy that looks so good but it was just a tad too strong here's Flanigan for o Miss throws it back now they go down low with it to Sharp his pass back out to Flanigan again working against Sears and that's a moving screen against sharp I guess when you're 75 you do something dra get going to be obvious to the men in strikes all right so here's the good news Alabama can't make a three they're getting wide open looks from some of their best Shooters Cosby finally hit one but had two more that were wide open Alabama continues to execute their offense take care of the ball they should continue to get good looks and they've got too many shooters to continue at this cold Pace Sears up top Stevenson jiren will drive in stops hands it off to Pringle shot left hand Noah but he gets fouled and he'll go to the line to shoot a pair nice pass inside jiren Stevenson drove the lane drew the defense kicks it to Nick Pringle takes it right at the seven-footer cay Nick gets fouled and he'll go the line for two Nick Pringle at the strike for Alabama the senior for the Crimson Tide only a 48% free throw shooter the one-handed approach perfect on the attempt boy I'd love to see what his numbers are since he switched hands and I guess that's what we get in conference play not switching hands but switching to one hand he has made now 58% in conference action since going back to the approach he used a year ago that one's too strong off the back iron and the rebound tapped into the hands of Flanigan for o Miss Flanigan front court with the rebels up by n goes to the right blocked by Pringle a beautiful play by Nick Bama the other way with numbers Estrada left side oh man Ryland Griffin stepped out of bounds as he started his drive to the basket stepped on the sideline right in front of Bart Linx who didn't hesitate to make the call and that's another wasted opportunity for Alabama right there Alabama's making mistakes what a great defensive play by Nick Pringle to start the Alabama a fast break Athlete on athlete as you had Flanigan going at Pringle on that previous play but Nick got the block shot emphatically here's Murray with it for Miss as Jaylen Murray trying to work to the near Wing Murray looking right tries to dump it off does to break field gets into the paint tough shot off the glass up and in Nate wanted a traveling violation did get the whistle there and it'll be an an one for the rebels who lead Bama by 11 with 541 remaining in the opening half of play well Alabama Switched Off and had ran Griffin on the 68 240lb power forward breakfield took him inside the help defense came a little bit late and a chance for Old Miss to extend this lead Bama continues to struggle getting stops an in one opportunity up coming for breakefield he got his first two de and Nelson at the scores table they'll check in if breakefield makes this one and he does just that Lee goes back up to 13 Alabama has been at arms length throughout most of this game tough start for the tide from the three-point line on both ends of the floor Old Miss has been able to get hot Alabama continues to struggle from Deep Pringle and Stevenson check out as the Estrada brings it front forward for Alabama works it to Nelson dribbles to his right picks it up gives it off to Sears on the right wing Sears playing off the string from Nelson goes underneath the basket spins to his left to Nelson back to Sears Sears with it with four on the shot clock three two a deep contested three no good rebound tipped out and control by the rebels they get a run out and Flanigan will slam it home and Nate oats wants a timeout 506 for remaining in the half and the rebels push that lead to 14 and this is looking very similar to what we encountered against Kentucky a Miss three leads to an open bucket on the other end that's uncontested well it was a bad three there was no movement and an easy run out and he didn't even have to get blockouts it was just get it and go and easy dunk a poor offensive possession possession that led to that easy dunk for the rebels Alabama struggling right now on both ends of the floor still a long way to go Alabama with the ability to get back in the game with the pace of play the ability to knock down shots yes Latrell Rito is missed on both ends of the floor but Bama has the Firepower to cut into this Rebel lead but starts defensively and right now Alabama not doing the job on that end of the floor the rebels shooting 56% and 40% from the three-point line and when you look at the three-point line Old Miss in their wins have shot 40% from deep and their losses in the 20s so you got to defend the three-point line and Alabama so far has not been able to Sears EST strata diabat Nelson and Griffin the five on the floor for Alabama as diabat will hand it off to Griffin has it top of the arc gives it to Nelson goes across the free throw line hands it to the body drives spins tough shot left hand no good ball tipped out of bounds touch Last by the rebels strong move Inside by Mo deab but very tough to finish on these old Miss centers Musa CE the SF footer also has a little more strength than Jian sharp gets the block shot and but fortunately Bama gets it back Pringle back in for Alabama replacing diab body here's the strot on the drive spinning to his right kicking it to Sears three rightwing bottom that's the guy you want taking him we got a bunch that we want taking him need him to make them and that's what Mark does a bank first three gives him 10 he's two of three from Beyond The Arc and Bama's back to within 11 Alabama struggled from the three-point line but the rebels have lost Mark Sears on a couple of occasions and he's been able to knock him down Flanigan got away with a push off Sears battled back gets the steel Griffin pull up three in and out no good and the rebound is controlled by om Miss breakfield got it brings it the other way himself crosses over down the lane ball knocked away got it back and then he traveled traveling violation on breakfield gives it back to Alabama with 406 to go in the half Brandon Murray will come in and Flanigan will exit sure if Ryland Griffin shouldn't have taken that one man it looked like Bama had a two-on-one fast break he pulls up from three and not able to convert but Bama at least gets a stop and gets it back Griffin with the basketball now between the circles picks it up gives it off to Pringle Nick will pivot he will drive he'll lose it immediately and then thank goodness Old Miss kicked it out of bounds Lord help him he looked awful on that drive and then Old Miss just booted it out of bounds and the tide will have possession with 11 seconds on the shot clock 34 47 to go on the game clock when we come back Rebels lead the tide 37-26 here on the Crimson Tide sports network from Lear field when the game goes into overtime but the game goes into overtime the choice to enjoy com for [Music] details B still down 11 3726 the Miss Rebels here in Oxford 347 to go in the first half stay with us at the half for the Toyota Halftime Report with first half stats scores from around the SEC in a quick chat with coach presented by Cooks pass control Cooks pass control on the Centon system the unbeatable combination for termite protection Brian pic it was the defensive end and Lexing it's really both ends of the floor here in Oxford yeah but Alabama's getting good looks against this old miss defense from the three-point line fortunately Mark Sears has knocked down a couple but Old Miss is losing three-point shooters for Alabama but the numbers don't reflect that Alabama right now just 3 for 15 20% from the three-point line but I like the quality of shot that they're getting here in the first half but it comes down to getting stops and Alabama has not been able to slow down the rebels right now old miss shooting 56% from the field and Alabama getting dominated on the glass getting out rebounded 20- 11 so far here in the first half Crimson tied again on the wrong end of a 30 7 to 26 score with just under four minutes to go in the first half Brian it looks like effort is there execution has been off shooting unfortunately has been off as they've made only three of 15 from threo range and most of those have been very open opportunities yeah getting the looks they want just not able to convert they stick with it and keep playing with confidence on the offensive end they'll eventually fall but this oldness defense they're good on the inside but they make mistakes on the perimeter and hopefully Alabama can make them pay Mark Sears has been the recipient of a couple of wideopen Threes because of defensive breakdowns from Old Miss just need more guys to step up and make shots for the Crimson tied but it's been the rebels offense that has been hot this Old Miss team a much better offensive team that defense statistically and they've been really good from the mid-range they've been really good from the three-point line Alabama's got it clamp down on the defensive end important 347 to end the first half here Alabama right now down 11 tied will inbound it from the Baseline Estrada looking to get it in tries and does to Nelson out High seven on the shot clock Nelson working against the defender and a foul is going to be correctly whistled on Morel Matthew Morell the senior from Memphis guilty of his first that is team foul number six on the rebels and it comes with 342 to go in the half it gives Bama a reset to 20 on the shot clock Sears with it out High Martin looking to his right feeds it off to Griffin Ryland fakes the three drives backs it in kicks it out Nelson spot up three rightwing bottom great look from Grant on the feed from Ryland Griffin and the tide is pulled back to within eight 37 to 29 with three and a half to go some of Alabama's best Shooters have missed wide openen threes and Grant Nelson gets that one to go down Morell lets a Defender fly by shoots a three misses rebounded by Nelson at the tide can cut this down to six or five with a triple Nelson working his way on the right wing picks it up hands it off to Sears mark on the right side working against breakefield crosses over drives gets underneath the basket circles underneath kicks it out to Griffin rying the drive pump fake shot up Miss tip back into his hands his flat-footed shot wouldn't go and Cay will bring it ahead to break Phi now to m Murray Murray working center of the floor gives it back to breakefield directing traffic Murray with it at the Timeline Far Side Murray with 16 on the shot clock and 237 to go in the half Rebels leading 37- 29 top of the arc Murray lets it fly from Deep his three rims out rebounded Griffin gives it ahead to Estrada aing into the front Court down the far sideline cuts to the middle of the floor circles away from trouble steps back deep three bottom he rattled in the bank first three that is the fifth made three for the Crimson Tide timeout Chris beard and O Miss with 217 to go in the half huge 90 run for Alabama with the last 222 finally getting the three ball to go down and Bama put some stops together as well that is something that we have not seen in recent games Alabama with the Firepower to get things going from the three-point line we've talked about it all throughout the first half Alabama's quality of look from the three-point line has been high just hasn't been able to make some and finally they're starting to go down but it starts with defense Alabama finally able to get some stops and cut into this Rebel League Rebels four of 12 Alabama five of 17 from bank first three-point range the ties turned it over three times ol Miss with six giveaways so far in this opening half they'll do that had a pretty high clip Alabama trying to create more issues for the rebels Sam Walters in the game along with Stevenson Sears Estrada and Pringle as it's five on the floor Rebels will walk it ahead with Murray getting it into the front Court Murray to breakefield dribbles left hands it off to Murray stops back to breakefield onto the left wing now to Brandon Murray Murray working into the paint against Stevenson needs help throws it back out shot clock at 12 near still Walters picked up by the rebels they give it back out Far Side three ball rattles out no good by Murray and here's Bama the other way Sears crossing over going down the lane steps through got hit lost it got it back hands it off Pringle pump fake feed Stevenson and it blocked Jared got hit but here's Estrada saving it for Alabama out to Walters come on Sam no good tip no bringle Nick got it back puff fake left hand shot no but he got fouled and he'll go to the line to shoot two Nick Pringle a warrior down low for Alabama there Alabama playing tough continuing to get good looks from the three-point line This Not time not able to convert but a couple of second and third chance opportunities Nick Pringle takes the contact and he'll get to the line Sam Walters 0 for five from three-point range and I dare say we won't see that again in his career at Alabama but I bet you he keeps shooting I hope and he should and the thing is that's crazy he's probably as shocked as anybody because he's never open The Scouting Report says don't let him get open from the three-point line and he has been wide open like the fact that he's continuing to let it fly but love the effort the last few minutes by Alabama on both ends of the floor they don't's first words to Sam Walters in front of us as he came off the floor just now you're fine settling The Freshman down keep doing what you're doing Pringle hit the first free throw he'll have another attempt upcoming and that one is perfect as well Pringle will exit welld deserved breather for him as Mo diabat checks in to replace him for the Crimson Tide so it's the Freshman Stevenson The Freshman diaba the seniors estada Sears and the sophomore and Ryland Griffin on the floor for the Crimson Tide now that's an 110 run for Alabama the last three minutes great field with the basketball now for the rebels trying to drive gets into the paint runner up missed the layup but a foul is going to be whistled on jiren Stevenson in Alabama a pretty good defense by jiren Stevenson not a ton of contact but enough to Warrant a foul and a chance to cut in to this run for Alabama 110 over 325 a scoring drought four Old Miss almost four minutes of this game first free throw up in and no good from breakefield it's a three-point game 37-34 Alabama to within three here's Grant Nelson into the game replacing Mo DEA Gama was down as many as 14 with 507 to go in the half now with a minute 14 to go it's only a three-point Advantage for the rebels as breakefield will have another free throw up coming that is good and the 110 drought in over the last 3 and2 minutes as Brian told you 3834 rebels with a lead but Bama with the ball here's estada Aaron on the timeline right side works it up to the wing still has the dribble alive gives it off to Sears Sears off the screen from Stevenson fires the pass to Griffin back to Sears Sears on the drive gets into the lane got bumped off the glass missed the layup but goes to the line where he will shoot two almost an and one right there is Mark got inadvertently hit across the face but the foul called on the rebels as we pause 10 seconds for station identification on the Crimson Tide Sports [Music] Network Mark Sears hits the first free throw Stevenson and Nelson will exit [Applause] Pringle in for Alabama and I believe Ryland Griffin was the other guy who came in as Sears hits both free throws and Bama down 14 just four minutes ago is to within a bucket with 48 seconds remaining in the half Old Miss ball in a two-point lead Murray to breakfield driving in the lane stopping shooting and getting it to go boy he just muscled that one in to make it a four-point Old Miss Advantage Estrada running the other way for the Crimson Tide gets underneath the basket spins once spins twice outside diab body Mo trying to shake free to a strot in the corner three well short rebound tipped and controlled by Flanigan of Old Miss and a foul on Mo diabat will be his first personal Aon estrus made some plays on the offensive end but that was not a great look Alabama's gotten some wide open looks from the three-point line L but didn't really have his feet under him and that one wasn't close just graze the rim and a mistake sending a pretty good free throw shooter in Flanigan to the line for a one and one he's a really good shooter but not when he's un not set man he's missed some bad ones big time well there's there's a big difference in having your feet set and stepping into a three then stepping back with the defense on you and that was a step back with the defense on him and Alabama has gotten some wide openen looks some catch and shoots step in to the three Rhythm threes not able to convert at a high enough rate but still getting good looks Flanigan hits both free throws as he converted on the front and back ends of one andone opportunities the lead is at six again for the rebels final 15 seconds Bama wants to hold it for one says Nate oats Estrada trying to shake free from PL again at 10 now at eight drives dishes left side Nelson four to Sears at three let's fly from Deep bottom the half ends and Bama does it right going to the locker room down 42-39 Mark Sears now with the bucket has 15 in the half and Alabama fighting back yeah I mean our defense wasn't any good the first eight minutes we did a decent job taking care of it we got to do a better job on the old boards there was no way we were going to stay that called Forever our I think you know our offense got to come in the second half and we got to start out better on defense to start the second half all right thank you coach thank you coach thank you Brian my bad BP I didn't see you there in the midst of all the people conversation with the coach of the half brought to you by Cooks PES control and centrion the unbeatable combination for termite protection again 42-39 Old Miss which led by 14 with 5 minutes to play in the half goes to the locker room only up by three here on the crimson tied Sports network from Lear [Music] field and we're back with the action Coke Zero sugar might be marathon is here to keep you and your team fueled on and off the court because we're driven together Tom steyp Chris Stewart Brian passic we are live in Oxford 4239 Old Miss uh leads Bama BP but 110 run will kind of cure what ails you there yeah Alabama down 14 110 run came at the right time BMA finished the half really strong and as we talked about throughout most of the first half the shot quality for Alabama was really good especially from the three-point line B at the under eight media timeout was shooting 11% from the three-point line just one made three and since then knocked down five to end the half so strong into the half on the offensive end and also starting to get some stops the key here in the second half continue what you did the last 5 minutes of the first half on both ends of the floor it starts on defense Alabama got out to that 110 run Old Miss didn't score for almost 4 minutes and it was Alabama's defense leading the offense need to see more of that here in the second half Alabama gets the ball first to begin half number two as Sears inbounds it to Aaron Estrada who gets it front Court plays Left Side Kicks it back to Nelson top of the arc he finds Sears mark will work his way into the paint back out Griffin all alone three in and out no good ball tipped into the air fight forward in the corner saved by Stevenson Bama gets it to Griffin Ryland right side to Estrada he gets into the paint a hold is going to be whistled on Old Miss that'll be on the rebels and Jaylen Murray his first excuse me that is Murray's first foul it is the team first obviously this half on the rebels as well the strata to trigger it in for Alabama looking looking beats the count no it's deflected out of bounds by Miss and Bama gets a reset on that 5sec count to inbound the ball tough to do when you got Cay in front of you at 7et and a really tough spot to inbound the ball now closer to the corner after the deflection Estrada to inbound it again looking looking still looking does get it in the corner into Sears Mark in the right corner sizing it up thought about it but defended by Morel drives Baseline throws a bounce pass to the cutter Stevenson Jared with eight on the shot clock gets a return feed drives in right at Cay and laid it in for two play by jiren Stevenson right into the chest of the seven-footer able to finish through contact that was a grown man that last year's High School junior took right at the Old Miss big here is Old Miss with the ball up by only one they led by 14 with five minutes to go in the half B with a steal Estrada driving in pump fake gives it off Stevenson gets hacked and he'll go to the line to shoot a pair great job defensively Aaron estrado with the steel starting the Bama fast break two on one drops it off to jiren Stevenson who's had a nice start to the second half an offensive rebound a finish at The Rim over the seven-footer this time takes the pass takes the contact and he'll go to line for two the two free throws trying to tie it up for the first time since we started and he does we do indeed start over now Bama looking for its first lead we hadn't been tied since 22 Stevenson treding to give Bama the lead and he does 1858 to go in the second half and Bama leads it 43- 42 Rebels with it front Court they feed it off to breakefield breakefield looking to his right takes a dribble that direction a couple a third a fourth a fifth before he hands it off to Jaylen Murray he'll drive to his right stops looks tough jumper got it to go boy had Sears on him got away with a little push off and then dropped it home to give the rebels a 44 43 Advantage here's Sears the other way flips it to Griffin Ryland playing through some contact hands it off to Mark Deep three dead on rims out it was halfway down and popped out Estrada got it back though for Bama a scramble taken away by Nelson feeds it inside into the corner Around the Horn Griffin three bottom great ball movement from the tide Estrada to Stevenson to Griffin and Ryland with a bank first three to give Bama a 46- 44 lead Alabama has been so good this year making the extra pass this time to ran Griffin who missed the three to open in the second half this time knocks it down breakefield in the lane stopping looking spinning shooting and scoring to tie it up at 46 1745 in ticking we had a good one here in Oxford Sears back to Nelson fakes the three drives down the lane to the ramp counted and he is fouled an and one opportunity for Grant Nelson as Cay gets called for his third and that's what Alabama can do to you offensively is stretch the defense with Grant Nelson who knocked down the three in the first half the pump bait got the seven-footer in the air able to go right by him take the contact and a chance for a three-point play seven footer out s five in 4 oh miss it'll be of AR and sharp at 75 and a senior out of Hopkinsville Kentucky as Nelson hits the n one and Bama its biggest lead at three points 49 46 with 1735 and Ticking time left here at The Pavilion breakefield giving it off to Brandon Murray to Morel now Morel the handoff breakefield spinning into a double team kicks it back out to jayen Murray 10 on the shot clock as they go left side back now to Murray off the bounce three ball is good and every time Bama takes the lead Old Miss ties it they buried the three but estrata runs the other way gets it back out Sears all alone three two strong rebound tipped into the hands of a stri estada driving addition Griffin in the corner skip pass near side Nelson in the paint drives in Spence hands it off and Sears lays it in for two great hustle Alabama with the offensive rebound beautiful pass inside to the cutter Alabama getting Great Looks on the offensive end need to get stops on this end Mark's already got 20 with 16 and a half to play and Bama gets a steal here's Estrada weaving through traffic Estrada on the drive takes it underneath throws it out Sears thought about a three goes behind the back with a dribble gets to the rim has his shot blocked but he got fouled and Mark Sears will go to the line and shoot two for Alabama with 1630 to play Bama leading it 51- 49 and Aaron Estrada making plays he's got five points six rebounds four assists couple steals at least here in the second half starting the Alabama fast break won't get an assist for this one but Mark Sear is attacking the paint taking the contact and getting to the line that ball did everything but go in Mark misses the first again a rarity for him as Sears is a 92% free throw shooter in Southeastern Conference games 86% overall on the year and he gets one of two Nick Pringle will check in Grant Nelson NOP Jaren Stevenson will sit down look at the numbers from Aon Estrada he's got five points but six rebounds four assist four steals for the game 52 to 49 Alabama with the lead oh miss the other way calwell driving lost it got it back then threw it away turnover forced by Aaron Estrada let me tell you Estrada's only got five points six rebounds four assist and as you said the phenomenal effort that he's you don't pay attention to the stat sheet with that guy yeah he is doing everything right now on both ends of the floor here is the Strada skipping it over to Nelson all alone three too strong rebound claimed by the 75 big man sharp Rebels come the other way they lose it and here comes Sears on a run out one man to beat drives in hands it off a Str of the lay in for two and a time out Old Miss 154 49 to go 5449 our score Good Guys on top here on the Crimson Tide ever it's a bold statement that it's got the that irresistible taste to back it up truly amazing taste it for yourself Tom styp Chris Stewart Brian Pik BP that's more like it yeah Alabama getting stops but not through missed shots the rebels a perfect three for three here in the second half from the field but the key stat on that is just three field goal attempts they've turned it over four times and uh Alabama hasn't been perfect from the field since halftime but 5 for nine six more field goal attempts since halftime the reason Alabama's getting some Second Chance opportunities getting on the glass and creating turnovers Alabama's also been really good taking care of the ball hope that continues against this Rebel team because defensively they give up open shots and Alabama's missed a bunch in the first half got hot late in the first half and they're continuing to get open looks against this Rebel defense but where the rebels thrive on that end of the floor is creating turnovers they're number one in the SEC and steals but so far the advantage in turnovers go in the way of the tide 11 turnovers for the rebels just three for Alabama in this game if that number holds that's good news for the visitors because Bama so efficient on the offensive end when they take care of the ball that's been a point of emphasis in practice along with defense and the defense has picked up late in the first half early in the second half but taking care of the ball always important on the road but especially against the rebels Brian I I look at this statline for Mark Sears and he's a guy that I just continue to be amazed at what he's doing for Alabama no turnovers in 24 minutes of work so far 21 points three assists three Steals and he has forced the opposition to foul him four times without committing one himself well he's always in attack back mode offensively and he's so hard for you to defensively to stay in front of him he's getting past the defense taking contact and making plays and how about Aaron Estrada seven points six rebounds four assist and four steals doing it all on both ends of the floor long way from the finish line but a lot better than it was his Bama was down 14 with five minutes to go in the first half now with 15 minutes to play in the game 15 and a half Bama has the lead and they get a steal Nelson just ripped it away from Flanigan and with 1527 to go B's got the ball up five that's four turnovers for the rebels since halftime mohamd W into the game but Ryland Griffin knocks down another one from Deep another bank first three and the odds are catching up for us Bama knocking down another one from Deep now eight of 26 and Ryland has six points defense leading to offense Alabama with another steal it was Grant Nelson getting the deflection that led to the Ryland Griffin three stat sheet said that's his first that's not right is it here's Old Miss with a basketball as Bama leads it by eight bouncing three in the corner no good rebounded by Sears allet pass to Nelson Grant lost it on the way up it goes right into the hands of Morell and the rebels run the other way they get it in the corner to break field breakfield will try to back his way down against Griffin gets into the paint pin shoots misses but wide open on the weak side was sharp and he easily caught it laid it in a missed opportunity for Alabama gr Nelson taking the ball to the basket just lost it going up six-point lead for Alabama with the ball Estrada near side three bottom they are red smoking hot from Deep Alabama hits another one and leads it by nine good night if you continue to get great looks and stay confident good things will happen that's been been the case for Alabama from Beyond The Arc 23o swing in the last 11 minutes of game time and a foul at the elbow on Ryland Griffin whistle on one against Flanigan as we've come to IMM media timeout 1358 left to play here in Oxford Mississippi the tide leads it 60- 51 here on the Crimson Tide sports network from learfield what is dedication my biggest fear in the middle of my addiction was that my kids wouldn't have a father and I started thinking you know what this isn't my story I definitely to learn more BPS predicted by you good Shooters taking good shots eventually the odds will be with you yeah you just got to stay confident and we know that Nate oats instills confidence in his guys we saw Sam Walters coming over to the bench after going 0 for five from the three-point line and he said keep playing stay confident potentially saying keep keep playing your game which is shoot open shots in Alabama his continued to shoot open shots 12 minutes in this game Alabama's 1 for n from the three-point line and right now bamama 9 for 27 not the best percentage they've shot but boy they have done a great job of getting open looks and also creating turnovers right now the rebels have turned it over 12 times to just Alabama's four points off turnovers favoring Alabama 16 to9 Second Chance points in Alabama's favor 14-7 nine offensive rebounds for the tide and a lot of those coming since halftime Alabama three for their last three getting it done on the defensive end and right now Alabama shooting only 45% as compared to 54% for the rebels but 10 more field goal attempts for Alabama the tied 21 for 47 from the field the rebels just 20 for 37 Alabama taking care of the ball creating turnovers and also getting some Second Chance opportunities you don't have shoot a great percentage if you go and get him and you take care of the ball Alabama's done both especially here in the second half Mohamad wge Grant Nelson Mark Sears Aaron Estrada and Sam Walters are the five on the floor for the Crimson Tide As Old Miss will inbound it side Court Brandon Murray to trigger it in throws it back out to Jaylen Murray reverses back right side to Flanigan Nelson defending him flan cut off now Estrada picks him up on the switch trying to back his way down gets into the paint and then a foul is going to be whistled on Estrada that's going to be personal number one on Aaron Old Miss trying to go inside to Flanigan at 67 has a size advantage over the Alabama guards just backed them down and there he Str a little too physical on the low post inbounds pass goes to the best three-point shooter he missed it Sam Walters ran into him and commits a foul and that's going to be three free throws upcoming for Matthew Morell well that is a big mistake right there by the Freshman Sam Walters who is one of the most improved defensive players on this Alabama team and just took a bad angle was fighting over his screen a little bit off balance and that's an example of really good effort but not a great decision by The Freshman Sam Walters first foul on Sam and the rebels trying to cut into a nine-point Bama lead Morel free throw up and good with 1343 to go two more upcoming for him as Mark Sears comes over during the free throws to talk with head coach Nate oats second free throw for Morel upcoming that one's perfect Morel overall on the year a 76% free throw shooter in conference play that goes up to 82% third try up and that one is good as well so it's a six-point game and the crowd's back in it with 1340 to go Estrada driving left side hands it off toat or excuse me W lost it goes to the deck and wound up on the the Baseline and that's going to be a turnover giving it back to Old Miss that is just the fourth turnover for Alabama that is a high degree of difficulty pass by Aaron Estrada trying to dump it off to Mohamad wagi in traffic went after it but was on the Baseline and Bama with a rare turnover in this game top of the arc Flanigan with it working against Nelson Flanigan still with a D will drive Bulls his way in spins and shoots wouldn't get it to go but they call a foul on Nelson in the process and on Grant that's going to be his [Applause] third Nate oats is going to get Ryland Griffin and Nick Pringle back into the game for the Crimson Tide Walters out Griffin in for him W out and Pringle in to replace him Alabama was rolling defensive mistake F in the three-point shooter really good free throw shooter and Morell who knocked all three down and Allen Flanigan had a big first half he's got 12 with a chance to add to that at the free throw line he does indeed players couldn't check in until after the first free throw was up but now they do come in Flanigan second free throw up and good as well quick 0 run by the rebels all at the free throw line need a bucket right here Bama gets it to Sears Mark backing it out top of the-art working against the 75 Defender Sears from three no good off the back iron rebound tipped but into the hands of sharp and the rebels will come the other way it's Flanigan front Court Flanigan goes to his right to Morel Morel back to Flanigan Rebels with more bounce in their step now after they've had five points in the last two trips Flanigan looks to the left side gives it off to Jaylen Murray Murray working against Sears eight on the shot clock Morell with it driving to the rim scoop shot laid up no good rebounded by Pringle and here comes Sears pushing it ahead BMA by four 60- 56 Sears trying to get down the lane does Top Shot it wouldn't go it hung on the rim and spun off at the last moment but he'll go to the line to shoot a pair trying to add to a four-point Bama edge with 1226 [Applause] remaining love the effort of Mark Sears on the last couple of possessions even though he missed the three he was open just a little strong with it this time able to take the ball inside to the Lane so close to a three-point play and how about the defensive play by Grant Nelson and Nick Pringle on the inside looked like it was going to be an easy Deuce for the rebels not sure if Nelson got the deflection but made that layup at much more difficult Mark hits him both and Bama thanks to his 23 points now leads at 62- 56 with 1220 remaining Rebels with the basketball break field between the circles gives it off left side Morell fakes a three steps back Beyond The Arc fires the pass to Flanigan top of the arc his deep three is an air ball but it's caught by the rebels outside they'll feed it they'll Miss A another attempt this time from Murray and Bama clears it comes the other way Estrada on the near Wing bounce pass outside to Nelson Nelson a dribble and a handoff to Estrada Estrada working against Morel down low to Nelson a shot attempt blocked out of bounds possession will belong to the Crimson Tide Nate oats is livid that there was no foul called underneath as the Bama player was knocked to the de and Nate oats is living and he's going to get teed up I believe or he's very very close to it Nate will get into the Huddle finally defending his players and understandably so time out on the floor 11:46 to go tide leads it 6256 on the Crimson Tide sports network from learfield it takes hard work to be the best in the game planning commitment resilience sweat that's why Old Dominion Freight Line the number one National LTL carrier for Quality works hard to be the best in the game and is proud to support those striving to be the best in theirs Old us on Alabama power is a proud supporter of the Alabama Crimson time power for a better [Music] Alabama 62 for Bama 56 for old man in Oxford 1146 to go in the ball game T-Mobile brings 5G to hometowns across the SEC and T-Mobile is a proud partner of the Crimson Tide little uh drama and Intrigue down in the Baseline BP is uh nothing gets called and just about everything that could happen did happen yeah and fortunately MOS did not get a technical but almost did and I understand his frustration it was clear foul up top a little bit of contact in the body but Grant Nelson got the ball blocked out of bounds and on the replay we thought live it was a foul it confirmed it on the replay no call and fortunately give uh Todd Austin the official credit that he didn't compile the mistake of the no call and add a technical to it uh like sometimes officials do so uh it'll just be Alabama's ball like where the tide went with it went inside to Grant Nelson but they'll have it with 13 seconds left on the shot clock credit Irwin Dudley the grat assistant too who stepped in front of Todd Austin as assistants were restraining Nate o and said Co said I got him Mr ref I got it so well listen if if you can't have the big man playing uh irn Dudley one of the greatest of all time in Alabama history did a good job of using that size that he uses as a player to get in between himself and the official and made o still talking to the officials but that was a opportunity that Alabama didn't get but they'll have a chance to score on this possession underneath out of bounds where Nate O's teams have been so good coming out of [Music] timeouts coach Jes knocking back the danani water there for side he's asking Bart Linx how did you not see [Music] that Bama will inbound it from the Baseline that by the way was the 15 foul of the rebels Bama has been whistled for four so not [Music] only is it not a foul you got an inbound now underneath which is normally not the easiest thing to do but a smaller inbounder and d o just got teed up he just got teed up by Bart lenx I think Bart had heard [Applause] enough so Nate oats gets the T and listen I've seen Nate get a bunch of technicals as Flanigan misses the first free throw and you can tell when he thinks he deserves it and when he did not and he was surprised by that one Flanigan hits one of two to make it a five-point [Applause] game and now Bama will indeed inbound it after the technical free throws one of which was made Estrada will inbound it for the Baseline looking to get it in beats the count to Griffin Ryland steps by a Defender three bottom another made three Ryland Griffin he's got nine and Bama leads it by eight with 1135 to play we talked about Alabama executing so well out of timeouts ends up with a wide open three back door look to Flanigan PFF fake got a man in the air missed the layup but Nelson just picked up the foul and on grant that will be is fourth that's a big fourth foul for Grant Nelson Miss went inside to Flanigan couple Obama Defenders flew down the pump fake got Grant Nelson in the air and so close to a three-point play opportunity flan Flanagan a little short with it but Nelson will have to check out with his fourth foul first free throw up and good by Flanigan who's got 16 points Nelson out Jaren Stevenson in to replace him jiren had some good minutes to start this second half see what he can do here as Flanigan hits both free throws he's got 17 including eight of 10 from the free throw line Bama gets it front court with aada tied on top 6559 1117 to go Estrada hands it off to Griffin Ryland working between the circles playing off the screen from Sears has it now still top ofth Ark back out to Mark a on the shot clock Sears at seven at six Sears at five at four gets knocked to the deck at 4.7 on the shot clock and that's a big foul there on the rebels it's only their sixth but Sears drawing the contact keeps possession for the tide yeah 16 fouls so no free throws but Mark Sears as good as there is in this league it understanding angles and when a guy is a little bit off balance forcing the contact which he did that was the right call and Marks here draws another foul against the rebels second on break field here's Griffin going down the lane hangs in the air missed it ball tipped out of bounds though by Griffin in possession will go back to Old Miss boy Ryland did everything right but the Finish boy aggressive move love Ryland attack in the basket just not able to finish Alabama trying to get on the offensive glass but knocks it out of bounds top of the AR breakfield his left shoulder to the basket fires the pass right wing to Flanigan Flanigan working against Pringle says come on they are chirping at each other right now boy Flanigan a bounce past right side break field working against Stevenson four on the shot clock three two tough shot they call a foul late on Jared they get two shots with 1028 to go and Stevens just gets called for his third Brian so now you got jiren with three and Sears already on the bench with four and that was such a good defensive possession for Alabama just a little too close they late and Old Miss has lived at the line here in the second half Alabama so close to getting a defensive stop missed opportunity after the Mis drive from Ryland Griffin and a foul sending old missed line where they've been really good in this game break fields at 82 % shooter hit them both and the rebels are back to within four again 6561 with 1020 to go Estrada front Court Estrada giving it off in the corner to Stevenson Jared trying to back his way down spins had it strip knocked out of bounds touch Last by the rebels in jayen Murray Alabama's got to do a better job of Defending without fouling oh miss 10 for 11 from the free throw line in the second half alone Estrada will inbound it from the base Bas line looking gets it into Sears Sears looking low nothing there lets it teammate go by eight on the shot clock Sears at six crosses over goes down the lane tough shot hit the bottom of the glass rebounded by Flanigan Flanigan a behind the back bounce pass they'll throw a no look feet inside and they get the dunk from breakefield on the assist from Jaylen Murray and we got a one possession game Pringle to Estrada Estrada near side as the crowd makes noise and they get a steal and they're going to tie it up I believe driving Murray missed it but got fouled on the play by Ryland Griffin and on Ryland that's going to be his third [Music] foul Bama too loose for the basketball as of late well that's what Old Miss does better than anybody in the SEC number one in the Ste and steals coming into this game Alabama's been so good throughout taking care of the ball but not not as much here lately as Old Miss will take chances on the defensive end and chance to add to what is already a 601 Run for the rebels Bama trailed by 14 and tied it up after about an 8 minute stretch going from the second half to the first excuse me first half to the second and now the rebels who trailed by nine are a free throw away from tying it up in about a 5-minute stretch of their own free throw up and good and we are deadlocked at 65 with 937 and Ticking time left to go here at the Pavilion a great matchup between 13th ranked Alabama and the Miss Rebels two teams with 19 regular season wins each bam in the corner Griffin three ball bottom Riley Griffin lighting it up four threes in the second half he's got a doen and Alabama leads it with 914 to go by three breakfield on the right wing working against Pringle flips it to Flanigan Bama switches Pringle on him Murray at the free throw line jumper up misses badley Pringle clears it hands it off to Sears mark driving circling away from traffic takes it top of the arc steps back deep three short rebounded to St inside PFF fake layup good Aaron Estrada another board his Fifth and Alabama make it the six for Estrada and Bama leads it by five Alabama answers with a 50 run and Aaron Estrada one of the best offensive rebounding guards in the SEC gets the Miss from Sears and puts it back 12 points seven rebounds They say six assists but a eight3 on the other end by ol Miss in breakfield as Bama runs the other way Griffin down H the lane off the glass and in contact and no whistle but Bama pushes the lead back to four 7268 with 810 to go Jaylen Murray from the near Wing working against Griffin Murray off the screen Murray working against Pringle now dumps it inside breakefield from the left wing backing his way down in the lane and they're going to call a block on Ryland Griffin and on Ryland that is his fourth timeout on the floor 756 to go Nelson and Griffin four fouls a piece for Alabama as they've combined for 24 points Sears has 20 Estrada 12 Bama with 72 is team they lead Old Miss by four with just under 8 minutes to play on the Crimson Tide sports network from learfield I'm Chris Jack I served in the United game is presented by Old Dominion Freight Line Old Dominion Freight Line works hard to be the best in the game and is a proud partner of the Crimson Tide Brian Pik best move of the game well getting Ry Griffin going he didn't score in the first 20 minutes but 14 points here in the second half with 8 minutes to go he's got hot from the three-point line four for seven so aggressive on both ends of the floor unfortunately a little too aggressive on the defensive end R and picks up his fourth foul Alabama in some foul trouble right now already short-handed with Latrell ritel back home in tuscalo with a head injury hopefully he'll be available Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers but right now it's Ryland Griffin with four fouls Grant Nelson he's got four fouls so some some other guys are going to have to step up but ran has been huge here in the second half and boy how about uh Mark Sears 20 points in this game he and Aaron Estrada leading the way on the perimeter but defensively it's about getting stops and defending without fouling the rebels have gotten to the line 13 times in the second half making 12 they're about to go to the line for a one and one they have been nearly perfect from the charity stripe Alabama has had a problem this year and not just defending but defending without fouling and that's been the case again here tonight Mark Sears with his 18th game this season scoring 20 points that's the most by an Alabama player since the 9293 season your old teammate James Hollywood Robinson was known to go get a bucket every now and then and certainly Mark Sears is doing that as well for this tied team yeah hisor what Mark Sears is doing one of the greats of all time in James Hollywood Robinson and Mark Sears right there as well an SEC Player of the Year [Music] Canada breakefield shooting a free throw missing it rebounded by Nelson the missed one and one and Bama comes the other way here's Davin Cosby in the ball game again for the tide he had some good minutes earlier Estrada with it out near the timeline working against Morell 15 on the shot clock as Cosby has it near Wing gives it back to Estrada Estrada try to drive and a blocking foul on breakfield and that'll be the seventh on the rebels and it will be a one inone opportunity for Aaron Estrada of Alabama yeah we just saw Old Miss Miss a front end of a one and one but it came at Great expense as Ryland Griffin picked up his fourth foul he's on the Alabama bench that's why we see Davin Cosby but a chance for Aaron Estrada to add to this four-point B leag front end of a one and one perfect and Aaron's almost perfect in SEC play from the stripe he has now made 18 of 19 from the free throw actually it's better than that he misses the second but a lane violation whistled on Old Miss and so it's another opportunity Cay had stepped into the lane to too early wow what a break and NATO already with the foul trouble going offense for defense substitutions as Grant Nelson checks out with four fouls Nick Pringle in Estrada two for two thanks to the lane violation and Alabama leads it 74- 68 7 and a half to play here in Oxford breakfield on the wing to Cay up high pivots looks takes a dribble and then hands It Off left side and now Estrada is going to get called for a foul and on Aon that is going to be his second as we pause 10 seconds for station identification on the Crimson Tide Sports [Music] Network Flanigan the Lefty the first of two up and good that is 10 team fouls in Alabama so every foul after this will be two shots both free throws good from Flanigan who has been terrific from there and that was a mistake by Astron just grabbed the jersey of Alan Flanigan and giving Old Miss a couple at the CH at the strike back to a four-point game Estrada driving to the left wing behind the back pass to Sears who'll drive down the lane Around the Horn Cosby near side three by B him hadway freshman Davin Cosby Jr knocks it down as two players got tangled up there was no foul they just stopped play allowing Cay and Jaren Stevenson to get up but how about Davin Cosby his second made three of this ball game getting some quality minutes and doing it on both ends of the floor Brian yeah nice job by Mark Sears got in the lane kicked it out to Nick Pringle who quickly got it to a wide open d and Cosby and a couple big threes for Cosby hasn't played a lot but getting the opportunity and making the most of it 12 made Bank First threes for Alabama in this game playing in a tough Baseline jumper and he got it to go wow fall away from the left Baseline 15 ft out Sears on the drive lost it got it back needs help he will throw it over to Cosby Cosby another three it's short this time rebound claimed by Miss and that's going to be a traveling violation it's the right call Bart linu made the traveling violation call on Flanigan who was not touched went to the deck rolled over and committed the turnover it was actually breakefield excuse me not Flanigan but that was clearly a walk Bama ball from the Baseline inbounded to Sears tied with it up five the drive Mark the layup for two he's a lefty but he went from the right to the left and got it to go and the tide leads by seven with 610 to play the aggressive defense and finished at the r down low leaner up and it crawls over the iron for Caldwell for Old Miss who now has six in the bamb Le goes back to five but Sears drives gets in the paint kicks it out Cosby again three again missed it this time and Flanigan will come the other way a good look it just wouldn't go now on the right side they'll work it to breakefield on the Baseline breakefield working inside against Stevenson flips it back out to Morell and now back to breakefield shot clock down to 12 breakefield a step back three and it's no good in the rebound tip by Pringle into the hands of Estrada and Bamba's got it up five with 522 to go fars side Stevenson come on Davin made it again Davin Cosby Jr knocks home another one and Alabama leads by nine and they're going to review something here maybe contact after the fact by the rebels wow how about the kid getting it done for the tide and the extra pass jiren Stevenson kicks it to Cosby in the corner a guy that probably isn't in the scouting report for Chris beard and the rebels as they've let him free several times he's made him pay on three occasions love the fact that he stayed ready gets the opportunity knowing that Latrell wrel may not be available in this game had one of his best practices of the Year yesterday couldn't have come at a better time coach has confidence and putting him in there early Davin Cosby's responded in a big way Tom did you see it as a double foul or just a single foul on Cay I have no earthly idea what the review seriously I think they're checking to see if it was flagrant but it's clearly at a minimum Brian a personal on Cay so count the bucket and Bama should get possession or free throws here that's what it looks like a a huge call here the made three to extend the Alabama lead to eight with just over 5 minutes to play and the foul is going to go on seay is yeah he fouled Pringle high and that that's a elbow to the face not sure it was intentional I don't think it was but that could be the F Cay is a figr one one one and it'll send Nick Pringle to the line so two shots in the ball coming up for Alabama we'll take it come on [Applause] Nick Pringle at the line shooting a pair right-handed one-handed perfect Pringle hits another one to give Bama a ninepoint lead Nick's got seven that's his fifth made free throw on six tries here comes the second [Applause] one it's up and that one's no good off the back iron good shot good rotation just a little strong well it it's already a four-point possession for Alabama with a chance to get more as Alabama will have it underneath their own goal after the flagrant one against eay up nine again with 518 to go nine matches the biggest lead for Alabama Sears back door look Stevenson good catch in traffic goes up strong got fouled in breakfield picks up the personal that'll be his fourth and Brian Jaren Stevenson's playing at tough and as strong inside as we've seen him at any point he's playing well but you said it he's playing tough and that was a tough move against a veteran it's a senior in college against a would be senior in high school is jiren Stevenson reclassified and playing like a veteran right [Applause] now first free throw up and good for Stevenson who now has seven how about the team effort in this Brian I know Sears has got 22 but man Cosby with nine Stevenson seven Pringle with six oh I forgot I'm sorry Stevenson now with eight as he hits another free throw and doing it with Grant Nelson and Ryland Griffin both on the bench with four fouls a piece great Point Bama its biggest lead now at 11 with 5 minutes to play Ol Miss basketball they'll drive the runner high off the glass missed by Murray rebound snatched by Mark Sears ahead to Estrada he'll bring it ahead Estrada looking Baseline Pringle back to Estrada drive it to the rim lays it up and in 13-point lead for the tide with four 42 to go and without the shot blocker the Alabama guards confident taking the ball to the basket with no seven-footers coming over Far Side break field thought about a jumper pump fake Drive shot up and good and that will be an add one opportunity with four 4 and2 minutes remaining in Nate oats less than pleased with that right there well it was a defensive Mistake by Mark sear he's not made many and listen you understand he's matched up on a 68 power forward but you got to make him shoot the jumper there you can't let him get to the rim and Sears went for the pump fake braefield went inside and a big three-point play opportunity for the rebels and they convert free throw up and good Davin Cosby checks out but boys it great to see that young man have some success get rewarded for tough work in practice he'll leave replaced by Griffin as Sears has it for Bama with four and a half to go tied leading at 8777 Sears backing it out working against the defender Flanigan wants him oneon-one Sears gives it off to Estrada Estrada down low Pringle PP fake spins lays it up and in for two what a move Nick Pringle as badow leads it with 4 minutes to go by a dozen and Chris beard has had to go small Alabama taking advantage of it attacking the r they work it to Flanigan on the left wing with under four minutes to play Flanigan dumps it down low to breakefield playing with four fouls working against Pringle pump fake once trying to back his way down gives it off fling in the paint that's going to be a block called on Pringle excuse me on Ryland Griffin and Ryland just fouled out 14 points three boards three assists but now five fouls in 25 minutes for rying Griffin he'll exit the game with 345 to go and we have come to our final media timeout 8977 Bama leading Old Miss here on the Crimson Tide sports the game for the regions postgame show with Bama coach Nate oats and don't forgets you can get your University of Alabama Visa check card from regions visit regions.com to order yours today Tom styp Chris Stewart Brian Pik we are almost Courtside in Oxford BP how about at winning time you get a freshman in Davin Cosby hadn't played a lot of minutes really need him tonight and he delivered and a guy that really should be shopping around for a prom date right now get jiren Stevenson I don't know how old he is but he's supposed to be a senior in high school and the toughness that he shows is grown man toughness yeah and Alabama's had to have those young players grow up and play tough and play like veterans with Latrell ritell not here because of the head injury because of foul trouble to Grant Nelson and Ryland Griffin others have had to step up and they have and listen we're not done with Davin Cosby in this game there's still 345 to play Ryland Griffin just fouled out now what he's done so far has been impressive Davin Cosby comes in makes plays really on both ends of the floor but he's three for eight from three three huge threes in this game a couple coming in the second half and uh Alabama has not been at full strength because of right will being out because of foul trouble Grant Nelson be this game with four fouls but got to close out 345 to play get the ball in the hands of Mark Sears and Alabama has been able to spread the floor and they've they've left AV Cosby not somebody you want to leave and uh you've got capable Shooters all over the floor but right now it's about getting stops defending without fouling and not turning it over again all Miss is going to take some chances number one in the SEC and steals coming into this game so ball security very important the last 345 of this one this is the 15th time that Alabama has scored 50 points or more in a half the tide is 13- one in games in which they've done so can't swear to it I'm going to guess it was last game against Kentucky that we saw that occur where we didn't get the outcome we wanted as Flanigan hits the first free throw to make it 89- 78 again 3 minutes 45 seconds remains in this ball game the second free throw is missed and Aaron Estrada gets another rebound for the Crimson Tide he will bring it ahead for Alabama after what is his ninth board to go with 16 points needs one more for the double double inside Nelson to Pringle missed the layup got it back and just shoved it up and in from the flat footed wow and I love Alabama continues to attack the paint because the seven-footers are on the bench for Old Miss Pringle with 10 points now for the tide spinning Baseline breakfield pump fake now stuck on the ground unloads it around they go to Flanigan near side with 10 on the shot clock a deep contested three is up and good Cosby was about a quarter step away from him and then a foul on the inbounds play he's going to be whistled on Old Miss and will send Mark Sears to the free throw line to shoot to and we are more than fine with that and that was close to a turnover Miss extending their full-court pressure after the made three Allan Flanigan we talked about in the first half he struggled from three this year only 177% from deep in SEC play he's knocked down a couple in this game but Alabama trying to get the ball to Mark Sears and that is who you want to have the ball in his hands because of his decision making ball handling ability but maybe more importantly what he's doing right now and that's at the free throw line Sears hits two free throws and with three minutes to play Bama leads Old Miss by 12 trying to set up a first play Showdown Saturday at home against Tennessee Rebels with it the end of the low post Flanigan he'll face the basket 15t out working against Nelson who's got four nearly lost it but got it back Flanigan did fires it out side to jayen Murray he'll drive he'll throw a pass left side around they go to breakefield open three rattles around and then fell through and again Cosby was late getting over and so ol Miss will use a timeout which is bad news for Davin because Nate hes is going to have a little teaching moment with him over in the Alabama huddle right now well Alabama gives up threes on backto back possessions the rebels get the time out and only only good news is Rebels used some clock on that possession Alabama had it well defended but breakefield at Power four position shs close to 40% from the three-point line and the rebels making some plays offensively here late in this game Chris Beard's going to set up their full-court pressure Alabama almost didn't get it in on the last possession fortunately Mark Sear's got foul he went to the line and converted he's leading away for the tide with 24 points 7 for eight from the free throw line right now Alabama's got to take care of the ball and old misses I expect them to try to take some chances defensively force a turnover here but Alabama's going to go with a little bit of a bigger lineup and that's Again by necessity ran Griffin is fouled out LR ritel is not here so you're going with Grant Nelson Stevenson on the inside Davin Cosby not a great ball handler but Aaron Estrada and Mark ears want to get the ball in those two guys hands so no shots were involved my apologies on that last one here's Alabama getting it front Court Nelson will back it out between the circles Nelson directing traffic handing it off to Estrada Estrada working left driving dishing outside to Nelson he'll work to his left shot clock down to six Nelson at five at four loses the handle Rebels throw it ahead they nearly kick it out of bounds then they lay it up and get fouled and that is the fifth on Grant Nelson and that was an absolute train wreck of an offensive possession there for Alabama after the timeout I thought Alabama had what they wanted Grant Nelson against Cay the seven-footer but Nelson just that was indecisive with what he wanted to do was he going to take his man or get it to Mark Sears and mistake right there a hesitant Grant Nelson ends up having the foul and that'll send Morell back to the line a chance for the rebels to cut this lead to seven Nelson fouling out with 10 points three boards two assists but the five fouls he and Ryland Griffin two starters fouling out for the tide as Murray hits the first free throw with 202 to go and makes it a 93 to 85 ball game and it hurts cuz Grant Nelson is such a good free throw shooter and a guy you want is an outlet pass free throw miss ball tipped into the hands of Estrada that is his 10th Rebound in this ball game they try to trap him he throws it ahead to Sears mark on the drive goes down the lane to the rim and that's going to be goal tending on Flanigan on and everybody knew that that ball was going to go in it was almost in the cylinder when Flanigan swatted away he gave no chance for that ball to miss it was an obvious goal tending call well it was a a wide open layup and kind of a frustration play right there by Flanigan Alabama able to spread the floor with this lineup get it to Mark Sears and I think Mark wanted to take his time but recognized a wideopen lane to the basket so you got to take easy points and Alabama able to extend this lead back to 10 with a minute 50 two to play Old Miss they're going to go quick got to defend the three-point line and also you don't want to foul Old Miss has been so good from the free throw line throughout this game but especially in the second half they've already been to the line 21 times making 17 and don't want to let them get points with the clock stopped and the rebels are going to go quick they will hurry it into the front Court Murray a minute 48 to play flig it on the drive leaner off the glasses in and Stevens just picks up the foul that'll be his fourth a minute 46 to go and Bama's lead is cut to 9587 I think Alabama and Stevenson was expecting the rebels to go for three and Flanigan took it right at the Freshman into his chest and a chance for a three-point play and he does indeed convert Flanigan now with 28 points Sears with the ball in his hands with a minute 42 to go and Bama up seven Sears throws it over the top of the pressure to Cosby Davin with a dribble working against the defender be smart young man Cosby working get Cay hands it off to Estrada Estrada on the drive kicks it back Cosby three oh deavin Cosby do it big man a minute 20 to go he's got 15 and Alabama leads it by a score of 9 888 a Mis Jumper by the rebels and Bama will walk it the other way Estrada with it now Estrada back to Cosby he'll let it fly again and why not do it Davin Cosby light him up ygen and Alabama 101 points here on the road for the ninth time that's an SEC record Rebels with a basketball Flanigan gets away with an elbow backs his way down against Cosby fallway jumper for him no good rebounded Stevenson and what do you know wow 8C differential shot clock and the game clock the pavilion's becoming a pup tent as they're headed out of here now what a performance for this Alabama team here in the second half Estrada with the dribble 10 on the shot clock driving right getting into the lane spinning shooting an exclamation point 13 excuse me 103 to 88 now the lead is Old Miss loses it out of bounds and Estrada 16 points 10 boards nine assists wow one away from a triple double eight seconds seven on the Drive Murray floater no good Sears flips it ahead Cosby will catch it and run it out and we are going to get out of here with a W 10388 Bama wins it by 15 on the road and gets ready to host the Tennessee Vs on Saturday first place on the line the place will be packed and orange will be outnumbered let's see if the tide can get it done as they did here in Oxford 103 88 your final Nat Crimson tied with the victory improving their season record to now 20 and8 overall 12 and3 in the league the rebels slide to 6 and9 they are and BP but it was the Freshman Davin cros Davin Cosby who came up large when when he absolutely had to listen I mean you got a triple double in Aaron Estrada Mark Sears gets 20 plus for like the 200th time in a row it feels like uh and then Davin Cosby next man up Latrell R not available in this game and uh Davin picked a great time to have a great practice and Nate oats starting to feel a little more confident about putting his freshman in who hasn't played a lot in SEC play and he gets an opportunity and boy does he take advantage of it uh Davin five made threes four in the second half and uh he was so good made some defensive mistakes but hey who doesn't around here Davin Cosby so good in this game but uh boy Mark Sears Ryland Griffin with 14 points in the second half and you're you're down a guy in L trell ril you don't have depth in the back court Ryland Griffin fouls out Grant Nelson fouls out and a bunch of guys step up Jen Stevenson was huge especially early in the first half and you know it's amazing when you look at the stat sheet and and really the the only one that yeah 26 for Sears that's just that's just what he does he just he just gets you 20 plus each in every game he was so good here tonight uh Mark 7 for eight from the free throw line five rebounds four assists but uh Aaron Estrada the triple double I mean that's that is a rarity in college basketball and he goes 18 points 10 rebounds 10 assists I think he had five steals uh he was so good on both ends of the floor and when Bama was down 14 couldn't get a stop in the first half shooting one for n from the three-point line I wasn't sure that we were going to score 103 points and beat this Old Miss team by 15 but what a performance by Alabama in the second half but it really started with about five or six minutes to go in the first half and we talked about the first 15 minutes bam was getting great looks this is an old M miss defense that creates turnovers number one they give up open looks from the three-point line and even though Alabama was missing I love the shot quality that bamo was getting those first few minutes even though uh you know it was a frustrating looked to be a frustrating night from the three-point line I felt like if this team could stay confident which they typically do and keep attacking take care of the ball those shots are eventually going to fall and boy did they Alabama makes 1 three the first 12 minutes of this game was shooting 11% and you look up at the end and Bam goes 15 for 37 41% uh from the three-point line nine of those made in the second half deavin Cosby with four in the second half it was a total team effort M had to overcome LR right will not being here Grant Nelson Ryland Griffin falling out but a bunch of guys stepped up and bamb gets another huge Road Victory by the way Brian there's one additional number on the stat sheet that you haven't noticed yet Bama scored 64 points in the second half we've talked about how explosive this team is good grief that is 64 points for a team that was one of 11 from three in the first half yeah at least at one point in the first half made some late but uh this is the number one offense in college basketball that we're watching and that's why Nate oats continues to focus on the defensive end because if this team can get better defensively and I think they will when they get um when you get Latrell writel back who who's a really underrated perimeter Defender you get depth and all of a sudden you're going to get Latrell ritel back we're not sure if it's going to be Saturday we hope it will be we're kind of thinking it might be in this game but hopefully very soon but what you've added when since he's been out is an opportunity for Davin Cosby and all of a sudden Alabama has backcourt depth because rell's going to come back he's a leading three-point shooter in SEC play uh in the in in the entire conference he does a great job defensively takes care of the ball uh he doesn't turn it over but Cosby's earned some playing time here and that's one thing that Alabama hasn't had a ton of his depth in the back court certainly hasn't had it have hasn't had it uh with ritel being out but now you add Davin Cosby to the mix and what he did in this game was incredible so fun to watch a guy who's been sitting out not playing the minutes that he would like and to sit there continue to practice and be ready when called upon he was ready in a big way and he stepped up and uh what a performance by The Freshman 15 points on five made threes so many of those coming at
