CHICAGO BEARS MAKE 2 BIG TRADES TO SHORE UP DEFENSIVE LINE!

Bear Down Bears fans we got big news for you we got two different trades that have been worked out over the last 24 hours we're going to talk about those uh if you like this content make sure you hit the like button on the way in first up the Bears have acquired Daryl Taylor from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a sixth round draft pick Daryl Taylor had five and a half sacks last year 9 and a half in 2022 6 and A2 in 2021 now he is listed as a defensive end but he's been playing linebacker but he's been playing the up guy like khil Mack for a while so I think this is a pretty easy um melding if you will it'll take him a little bit of time I don't think he's going to be the starter uh I think Demarcus Walker is still the guy I don't think there's been a real change here I think it's just uh a moment here where the the teams finally realized yes we need that depth uh no we can't get yanuk and G at a price that we want Hassan reck might be a little a little bit prohibitive by the way it's still early Hassan reic might still be on tap uh and could be next so uh good move here overall in my opinion uh this a guy with a motor this is a guy who likes to get to the quarterback this is a guy who plays very well on the edge the other trade the Bears made a trade with the Cleveland Browns today for another late 2025 pick and picked up defensive tackle Chris Williams now uh it should be noted Chris Williams is let's call him a work in progress he's played 13 games games in the NFL and he's got three tackles uh no sacks uh no fumbles you know he's not hasn't been very disruptive so uh it's a big body though 6'3 302 lb I think it's going to be a pretty good opportunity for him to fit in and this is the backup this guy's going to replace Zack Pickins Zack Pickins went down injured we don't know for how long so it'll be interesting to see how he starts to develop and um his preseason St stats we should point this out he had two sacks in the preseason uh one forced fumble now these are not uh game stats they're still you know he still got a lack of game stats here but this is a young guy with an opportunity to really enhance uh the line for the Chicago Bears uh the Bears are going to need probably one more defensive tackle before we get going now we've already talked about the need for the Bears to have a defensive tackle in order to uh have enough depth because you there's just not a lot so maybe this is the start of a few moves that the Bears are going to make to shore up the line and they're getting these guys inexpensively and again Chris Williams a little bit of a developmental project so this should be a very very interesting uh next couple of days if you haven't already make sure you hit the like button uh remember uh this is my opinion about what is going on with these trades with the Chicago Bears Daryl Taylor really good really good decision here uh Chris Williams again this is a project that I think uh is is no better or worse by the way than Zack Pickins I think that uh you know Chris Williams offers a little bit of the same that we already have so very good opportunity I think I'm pretty excited about this one overall but again a project guy so that's it you guys uh Daryl Taylor Chris Williams welcome to Chicago uh and remember to Bear down and uh if you guys haven't already Green Bay we'll talk to you again very very soon
