Houston Texans football is finally back with the first preseason game of the season the Texans got their first Hall of Fame game since they originally became a franchise in 2002 and I could honestly not be more excited about what we saw in this game even though it got cut short due to a rain delay I'm not even going to waste your time with a long intro because it's only preseason let's get straight into it the first thing that caught my eye in this game was jar a bal's ability to maneuver in tight spaces I quickly saw what people were talking about in training camp and I see why he started out this game as the running back especially with Damen Pierce being sideline because of Joe mixon's injury tight end Tean quintano also made a huge Splash in this game and honestly if he didn't get injured early in this game I think the main conversation would be about Brevin Jordan and how his spot is up for crabs but sadly he did get carded off in this game and we didn't see him again so it's kind of up in the air what's going on with TG another thing in this game that became increasingly obvious if it wasn't already was Davis Mills is one of the best qb2 in the league if we didn't see enough from him in the Browns game I think we definitely saw plenty here to secure him that qb2 spot and maybe even get him an extension being our backup QB of the future if that's what he would like on a much much more exciting note than Davis Mills though Kaylin Bullock looked absolutely amazing in his preseason debut and honestly I feel like he was trying to put the critics to B said early with the tackling concerns he was out there laying the boom all I heard from the scouts about Kaylin coming out of college was that he could not tackle well and I even saw that in the tape but from what I saw in this first preseason game and I know it's just preseason he took that incredibly personally and it seems like it's definitely paying off he even forced a fumble in this game which was an amazing play but in the future I think me and many other Texans fans would like to see him play through the whistle instead of celebrating a little too early but it's his first game out of college so that's to be expected I think a more underrated part of this game was the old line play from the beginning I was seeing drastic improvements in the Run blocking and it seemed like we were really creating a push with our o line something we definitely struggled with last year and I think we definitely looked competent in pass protection as well this is our second stringers for the most part on o line along with Kenyan green and I think if anything it shows the amount of o line death that this team position is and that's a very important thing for a team looking to make a run in the playoffs the two stars on offense were most definitely Xavier Hutchinson and cam Acres I'll start with Xavier Hutchinson because I think he's been a very underrated piece at this Texans team since he's been drafted I know a lot of Texans fans weren't mchy and I'm going be honest I think I might take Hutch over him if it comes to that I personally believe that we're going to cut SC veronic and woods and keep both of them but if it comes down to it I think y'all saw in this game just a little bit that Hutch might have a little something something on mie now obviously team chemistry wise I think m is definitely the winner but man I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to keep Xavier Hutchinson cam Acres also looked amazing which is just insane after what he's been through he did not look like a guy that had two major leg muscle injuries in 2 years in my opinion his cut still looked very sharp and he actually helped us the most out of the receiving game looking like a veteran running back making plays when things blow up and even catching himself a touchdown Which was very impressive to see that's in contrast with jar Jordan who we didn't get to see much of and honestly I was a little bit disappointed because of that flipping it to the other side of the ball there was many times our Corners got caught lacking now luckily I don't even think Auda was out there many times to get burnt but r depth at cornerback is looking very thin and it's definitely a position of weakness in my opinion if you saw the game you saw the many times our Corners were looking silly out there and I'm going to hope that once sting and once Kamari L her and once a Cuda are out there it'll look different but this worries me the last thing I'm going to talk about that caught my eye for sure was our new puncher Tommy Townson man he can boot the football man I was getting flashbacks at Shane leer I swear it makes me very happy that the Texans have a dominant puncher again no offense to Mr Johnston but the balls are coming off of Tommy Thomson's foot a little bit differently I feel like and it was beautiful to see really made me happy let me know if there is anything that I missed in this game leave it down in the comments below and as always if you enjoy this video and you want to see more video coming up in this season subscribe down below and yeah man hopefully we have a great
