thank you so much for joining us tonight we have got Gallery Furniture store owner Community leader and Gangsta Mac hey Coco good to have you here good to have you thank you for letting me into your home Mac you have everyone worried about you you've been posting videos and we thank you for that first of all for letting us know what's going on with you because anytime you're not in the store something's going on here yeah on Thursday uh Friday night I was tossing and turn I couldn't sleep all night long even though I have great temp iic mattress and I woke up as normal got dressed and went to work and for the first time in 43 years I drove past the exit so I got to work and then uh I vomited in the parking lot then I went in the store and the guy said I was all talking giberish so they called an ambulance took me down to St Luke's hospital I was there for the past three days and uh they did a great job of examining me found that I have this bad case of cellulitis which caused the infection in the temporary uh disconnect of cognitive abilities so hopefully it'll be all right got some good docks and so how do you feel I feel great other than uh it's good when I walk around when I uh elevate my legs when I start walking is very painful at the F first but once it the Blood starts circulating it's okay so once again I can't thank the doctors ain't L enough for tending to me and finding out what the problem was it was very disconcerting there for a while whether or not I've had many Strokes before and I was afraid I'd had one of those but no I didn't and I want to thank all the customers that came out for our Labor Day sale that aided my recovery tremendously and so that that's it the customers that's what you're about that literally because you we see you giving out your phone number and all the checking your text but you do that at work too you you call them directly and how much is does that mean to you to have that direct contact with it means everything you know the best availability uh the best ability is availability so I try to be aable for those customers all the time and see what we do right see what we do wrong so we can correct it and without those customers we would be nowhere so we're very customer driven okay and so what have you been doing laying up you're not there making those phone calls or are you know college football is back I know you used to play what have you been doing with time I left my cell phone so customers been calling me calling me and I got about 10,000 text so I'm trying to answer all those so you're still been working in the hospital now been working in the hospital that's right cellulitis is a common and potentially serious bacterial skin infection without treatment with an antibiotic cellulitis can be life-threatening it's a lot of different medications that'll make it go away and then hopefully it it'll stop my brother came to visit me in the hospital and he recognized immediately what it was he had it before so it may be a little bit hereditary but it we should be uh fine going forward cellulitis isn't usually spread from person to person it's an infection of the deeper layers of the skin are you hoping are you going to stick around at home and and kind of wait for that to happen yeah I'm going stick around at home till about 7:00 tomorrow morning I'm going to work you are are you really of course so but but they encourage you to keep movement yeah they encourage me to keep moving they encourage me really to keep my leg up but I can't do that all the time I got to move around and talk to customers wow okay so what do what do you say to the people that continue I mean and you're not just getting local love you're getting love from everyone across the world thank you for reaching out it makes me feel uh very good that people care about my health and I need my health to continue so I can continue to live work play and support the community that's that's what my wife Linda and I and our children are all about what can we do to make the community a better place and uh I need good health going forward thanks to the good good Lord the good docs St Luke I'm moving forward all right but you you got to take it easy ma we want you to take it easy so you can take it easy is not my vocabulary you got to get ready to go for postseason got to get ready to go to Philly and get screamed at again I got your back Mac I'm going with you you got it co all right thank you so much for allowing us and of course Take Care MAC Coco good to see you good to see you all right it's Fox 26 news
