Yesterday, the major supermarket chains argued a merger would lower prices and help them compete with larger stores like Walmart. But the FTC says it would eliminate competition, increased prices and lower employee wages. Employees aren't sold on the merger either and protested outside the courthouse yesterday enough is enough.
