Show Open good morning dog Nation I am Brandon Adams and this is dog Nation daily the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans we are presented by Maryweather and Tharp and we are happy to have you with us there is a lot to cover today some of it somewhat serious some of it hopefully very very fun uh the Triumph return of Connor Riley today Terence Edwards got some business Tak care of with his uh with his football team that he's coaching so uh that's going to cause us to uh talk to Connor R today for the first time in a little while that's going to be really fun there's a lot to discuss as I said before we're kind of all over the place with some of that but to begin things today you're going to like this there is a player on georg's roster that I think very much is in a conversation to be like legitimately the best player in the entire sport for this upcoming season and if we're being completely honest with ourselves we probably haven't talked about him enough here on dog Nation daily but today that error gets corrected so what do you say we get it started it is dog Nation daily the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans presented today by Maryweather and Tharp and it begins right now today's episode of dog Nation daily is brought to you by Maryweather and Tharp your source for Georgia divorce find them online at Georg divorce team.com presented by dognation dcom this is dognation daily the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans here's your host Brandon Adams so at times we're probably guilty of talking about certain things too much maybe that's the case and if we Malaki Starks earning recognition ever do that that means there's probably something else we haven't talked about enough and so today I do kind of feel like there's a topic we haven't talked about as much as we should I want to make sure that we don't keep making that mistake over and over again because you know I I I think there is perhaps a player on the Georgia roster who is like legitimately In Contention to be regardless of position among the very best players in college football and obviously that has a chance to have a huge lift for Georgia if that's the case and when you see some of the buzz that's out there about this guy here right now I think you're left to conclude man this guy's got to be more of a main character on dog Nation daily presented by Maryweather and Tharp and he's been thus far the player that I'm talking about here is Maliki Starks and I obviously we're not anti- Starks Malachi is one of the most easily likable players that George has had I think in at least as much as anybody else in quite some time really sharp guy really good player seems to play the game the right way there is not a single knock on Starks whatsoever and yet he has like some players sometimes have I think a little bit this level of Excellence that can maybe cause you to sort of take him for granted a little bit and I want to make sure that we don't do that here here right now and I'll tell you the Genesis of all of this is that and we were doing our RS Andrews cooldown at the end of the show that's something we do on video where we take some live comments and we just sort of you know chatted up about a few things and as we were doing that yesterday EA Sports the maker of the brand new college football video game put out its top 100 players and Georgia was pretty well represented among the top 10 players there in fact I want to show you this on the screen here for a moment top 10 uh players in college football this year according to EA Sports now the one thing we said on the uh the the video yesterday was it's kind of amazing EA Sports has done a lot of stuff here thus far that kind of is more about like creating some hype and some uh interesting conversations around the game obviously they've really inflated Colorado would seem because obviously Colorado's got a lot of you know sort of you know fans or whatever that that this top 10 has a little more nuts and bolts and a little less I guess you know whatever you know there's a little less POS ass to this than you perhaps might think for instance the top two players in college football will Johnson a quarterback from Michigan Will Campbell a offensive lineman from LSU according to Da Sports here then you got Oly Gordon the running back from Oklahoma state who's been in the news this week for a completely different reason James Pierce uh The Edge rusher for Tennessee then you get to something I think is kind of interesting so if you look at 567 here just for a moment you've got Caleb DS the recent trans transferred Ohio State coming in at number five you've got Travis Hunter who is all over the place all the time in the media uh because of the team that he plays for and the coach that he plays for Deion Sanders in Colorado he comes in at number six then you've got coming in at number seven Malachi Starks from Georgia now think about this here just for a moment and perhaps you've already thought about this perhaps it's only me that's kind of just sort of playing catch up on this a little bit but the people who are you know obviously right now kind of at the center of the college football World EA Sports because there is so much energy and excitement about this uh game coming out on Xbox and the platforms you know that's going to be on there is a lot of excitement about this they've kind of been at the center of the college football conversation most of the summer and what EA Sports is telling you is take two players like Caleb DS and Travis Hunter two guys who were talked about all the time Hunter's been that way now for you know at least you know a year plus and Caleb DS this off season has been such a big you know focus of discussion because he made the high-profile transfer to Ohio State a part of their offseason National Championship which I know they're really excited about up there in Columbus but even if we kind of mock that I mean Georgia did seemingly go hard after Caleb DS and uh didn't quite you know win that battle and so part of the pursuit of downs did legitimately legitimately create a pretty big conversation around him what the folks at EA Sports are saying is you know the attention that Travis Hunter's gotten a two-way player who you know Deion Sanders says is better than chant B or whatever it was he said this week uh and you know the attention that Caleb DS has gotten well EA Sports in so many words is saying we think Malachi Starks who probably doesn't get nearly as much attention we think Malachi Starks is in the same zip code of being just as impactful as guys like Hunter and Caleb DS now if we're really thinking I guess deeply about this as Georgia fans we probably already know that's true but on this show we probably have certainly not talked about Malachi Starks at the same rate that the you know Colorado folks are always talking about Travis Hunter and the ESPN folks who are always Sly talking about Colorado or the Ohio State fans talking about Caleb DS we have not talked about Malachi Starks nearly that much we probably should be because it's not just EA Sports who's sort of saying these things about Starks although just consider this for a moment if Starks really does end up being like one of the seven best players in college football that's a guy who could win the benic award that's a guy who could win more than just the Thorp award he could be recognized as the best defensive player in America and be the kind of impactful guy even we sort of think of safety being kind of the back part of the defense therefore not always as premium as the defensive players who play a little closer to the football just being completely honest here but if Starks is that level of player if he's a Downs level player a hunter level player you know if if he's that level of player even kind of playing on the back end of the defense this is a guy who would have a huge impact for Georgia of course this season and as I mentioned a moment ago it's not just EA Sports who's saying that there was a thing from Pro Football Focus the other day and I know that Pro Football Focus not everybody's cup of tea Kirby Smart has said before he doesn't really like Pro Football Focus all that much and sort of has openly mocked them in the past but they do put a lot of effort into the work that they do they don't just sort of make this stuff up out of whole cloth uh I'm more than happy to at least consider their opinion on certain things and one of their guys was out the other day also making a pretty bold Claim about Malachi Starks let me show this to you on the screen here for a moment uh the guy named Max Chadwick says that he's easily the favor to be the first safety taken in the 2025 NFL draft and he should be a first round uh pick the uh Pro Football Focus College account on the xplatform calls him an elite safety Prospect so once again Malachi Starks is one of the Georgia players who is very very much a you know talk about in the sort of probable category or or or highly likely category of eventually being a first round pick off this defense here this year and if he truly does play at that level and we have seen nothing from his first two years on campus to suggest that he won't if he truly does play at that level oh my gosh you're talking about a guy that uh clearly could be much more impactful for Georgia this year than we have perhaps at times given him credit for this is this is a guy that we sort of sometimes treat as a given we sometimes sort of treat this as a known commodity but still taking some time to appreciate what is known probably makes some sense here Malachi Starks based on what EA Sports is saying and based on what Pro Football Focus is saying and certainly plenty of others as we move towards next week when Starks himself is among the representatives for Georgia SEC media days when you see the chatter building around him I think it's important to keep in mind just how good of a player Malachi Starks could be for these dogs this season and the good news is is that as all this sort of positive talk builds around him the one thing you know is is that Starks is focus isn't going to wne at all and this is one of the reasons why you like him so much because in addition to being a very impactful player on the field with his athleticism and his overall abilities this is also a guy tab for events like SEC media days because of his clear mandate for leadership there as well he's good at that part of this too the kind of intangible part of this there as well and he's demonstrated that plenty of times over the course of his first couple of years on campus in fact I want to go back a couple of months ago around the subject of you know what's available to you these days nil deals and extra attention all that kind of stuff part of the reason that Malachi Starks is such a good leader because as he told us a few months ago he doesn't get distracted by any of this kind of stuff he is focused on being just as good a football player as he can possibly be this is what Stark said about that I think I think uh I think honestly the the best answer I can give you is probably I I keep the main thing the main thing you know and I it's great I love it um but you know my whole goal before before I got college cuz it wasn't the thing when I got here um and my whole goal was to come here and get the B and go to the league and I keep that the main thing uh and I mean I got I got a great team with me I with ESF they do a great job uh they take a lot of load off for me um but you know I just try to stay focused on the main thing so Stark's focused on the main thing not too worried about nil although open for business as he should be focused on as he says getting to the league so think about that as we move towards the fall guys like Travis Hunter going to get a lot more attention guys like Caleb DS at a similar position with Malachi Starks plays based on the chatter this off season getting more attention Starks just as good as them and anybody else that is a very strong possibility and as Malachi Starks goes this season so could go these Georgia Bulldogs there as well all right let me Trevor Etienne gets DUI charge dropped transition now to a completely different topic for a moment because we had some interesting news breaking yesterday I want to make sure I read this to get facts correct as it relates to Trevor etn and what at one point in time had been a DUI charge that he was facing you may have read this at dognation decom and if you didn't I'll read it to you uh as reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution Georgia running back Trevor etn had his case on duy and reckless driving resolved on Wednesday following an arrest earlier this year the charges of DUI less safe and DUI under 21 were dismissed in a hearing he pled no contest or reckless driving charge and guilty to underage possession of alcohol failure to maintain Lane and window tent violation etn the story says received 12 months of probation he was also fined $852 and a $45 per month supervision fee he has to complete a substance abuse evaluation 40 hours of community service and an alcohol risk Reduction Program he's also subject to random drug and alcohol screening so that's the facts as it relates to etn was facing a DUI charge and that DUI charge has now been dropped in relationship to all the other legal stuff that's going on there and so I think there's two questions that pop up about this a what does this mean for etn and B how should Georgia fans feel about this let me do the first part of this we know that Kirby Smart at SEC media days next week or the day before the Clemson game my guess is based on previous sort of instan like this Kirby Smart won't say anything about this whatsoever he will say that all punishment is handled internally he would say that if etn was going to be suspended he would say that if etn is playing he's just not going to go on the record about stuff like this which is his prerogative of course as a coach he's not going to say anything so that sort of leaves us to speculate and I have been willing to kind of speculate on this a little bit in the past there as well which is that etn was going to have the same legal opportunity available to him that any civilian would have here that this is not a the star running back gets special treatment things like that anybody who's you know dealing with a set of charges like this everybody's got a legal right to get legal counsel and then you know go through the I guess we call it negotiation process or whatever else to kind of get that charge you know handled and taken care of and the best that I can tell etn is not getting he anything here that's any different than any other citizen in a similar situation with gotten everybody's got a right to a legal defense and what etn is doing here is just simply exercising his legal right the best that I can possibly tell and now that he's no longer charged with DUI now that it's been kind of turned into something else uh legally does that open him up to play against Clemson my assumption is that it probably does and we've been sort of talking about this now for a few months that we thought it might be heading this way that a charge of DUI less safe as it's legally known because uh etn was drinking and driving but below the legal limit yet under the age of 21 because of this the facts involved in this situation it sort of seemed like the thing that could be a reduced charge or something like that and once it's no longer a DUI does that potentially open the door for et to play in this game I believe that it probably does now maybe Georgia still chooses to suspend him for whatever reasons based on whatever the facts in this particular case and I'm maybe not fully aware of but the door would seem to be open for him to play because of what I mentioned before which leads me to another question that I just asked a moment ago which is how should Georgia fans feel about this I got a message from a Georgia fan this morning looking at some other Georgia fans who he said were celebrating this news and he said that he didn't really didn't really like that because he thought that Georgia fans ought to hold the Georgia team to a higher standard related to behavior and things like that which on the one hand I guess is sort of get uh and obviously it goes without saying we said this yesterday related to the Mike Gundy Oly Gordon situation it is so self-evident that we're anti-drinking and driving that we shouldn't have to say it so I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time you know giving voice to that because that ought to be obvious and I believe that it is but when it comes to a situation like this I think this can be instructive and this is something that I really feel pretty strongly about whether it's a guy that plays for Georgia or even a guy that plays for Florida or a guy that plays for Auburn or a guy that plays for Alabama or a guy that plays for anybody else I'm a big believer that the main responsibility for punishing wrongdoing exists with the legal process the criminal justice system you ever watch Law and Order you know the the the the police who investigate the crimes the district attorney who prosecutes the offenses like to me that is the main responsibility for punishing wrongdoing you know this idea that the football coach whether it be Kirby or dbo or anybody else has some sort of extra moral responsibility to go beyond on what the legal system is doing that's just not something I necessarily believe in that that if you feel like certain wrongdoing is not punished enough then your issue is with the Civic process of like what the police are doing what the Das are doing what the law what the law says more so than what the football coach is doing now that doesn't mean that there isn't any sort of need for the for a football coach to have some sort of like um I guess sort of moral instruction for his players that's obviously what the process of growing up and going through college football is all about but punishment for wrongdoing I think mostly exists with the legal process and Trevor etn like anybody else has now gone through the legal system and this is the result of all of that and because of that I don't think that etn should necessarily be treated any differently than any other civilian would be who was doing the same sort of thing should he have been drinking and driving of course he shouldn't have but what do you do with that now you know I think that if he ends up playing against Clemson I think he's well within his rights to do that I think Georgia would be well within its rights to do that and frankly I would be saying the same thing and we have said the same thing about almost any other program in a uh similar situation here so Georgia probably will not say much about this but there was some additional information given to us yesterday it is no longer a DUI charge for etn and perhaps that opens the door for him to play in that game against Clemson to begin the season we'll see what happens next my name is Brandon Adams and this is dog Nation daily the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans presented today by hard hard thing it is and I you've been hearing me say this for years and the one thing you've never heard me say is somehow it's no big deal and I don't we make jokes about this well we treat this as the weighty topic that it is we try to treat this with the same level of seriousness that our friends at Merryweather and thp treat it as but we also know this in some cases it's just a reality you're going to do it it's going to have to happen and how do you handle it best that's the question you ask yourself well this is what Maryweather and Tharp and the attorneys who were you know working with Bob th and the entire team there this is what they've dedicated themselves to doing and their I guess track record their history of helping people in this time of need has of course caused their organization to grow which we do celebrate right we don't celebrate divorce but we celebrate the fact that people who were doing a good job in handling divorces for people and and kind of treating them well in a time of need that their uh that their success in that field has been recognized and for a long time you've heard it say that Maryweather and Tharp is your source for Georgia divorce and online Georgia divorce team.com one more time Merryweather and Tharp is your source for Georgia divorce all right uh much happier topic than the Trevor etn uh legal situation uh as we get ready to in a couple of minutes bring on uh Conor Raley it'll be fun today but also around Marshall replaces UCLA on 2025 UGA schedule the dogghouse here just for a moment there as well and I want to talk about some other news that came out yesterday this was finally made official you know this had been sort of speculated for months in fact when we saw the 2025 schedule drop whenever that was however many months ago that was when when the SEC slate was announced and we learned they were essentially flipping the 2024 games and sort of playing them uh you know the the opposite home teams Road teams for 2025 I speculated there that day wonder if Georgia does go to uh Pasadena California for that game against uccl late in 2025 well here we are you know these months later we now officially know that's not the case once again I'll turn to the pages of dog nation.com to give you the details as they were reported Yesterday by Conor Ry who's going to join us here in a minute he says Georg is not going to be going out to California to open the 2025 season and UCLA is not coming to Athens in 2026 Georgia announced that the future series against UCLA was cancelled uh and that George is going to open the 2025 season against Marshall instead uh the Georgia UCLA series was first scheduled back in 2015 but doubts about the series have lingered since the spring UCLA is set to move into the Big 10 this season and according to a report from Pete Thell of ESPN UCLA is now going to face Utah in a home and home with the first game being scheduled for 2025 now UCLA is obviously not a very good team right now so some of the speculation about this cancellation is going to be related to they just didn't want any part of Georgia which perhaps to a certain extent they probably didn't uh let me give you also though one else one more thing to think about as it relates to this and I think this is kind of an important thing to understand which is actually let me give you two things thing number one is this I I've told you before that what are my concerns for the future of college football just given the way in which the conferences are expanding and that's becoming a more important deal and your relationship with conferences and your media rights deals kind of becoming a little bit more I guess uh entangled than it has been in the past I sort of wonder how much in the future we're going to see an ESPN team playing Fox team on television that there may just be less of this moving forward perhaps to deal with UCLA is maybe a little bit of an example of that but I think the other thing that's going on here is is that while it's going to be a bigger deal to some Georgia fans and plenty of Georgia media types that Georgia is not traveling to Pasadena in 2025 it's actually the following year that's probably a little bit more interesting here right now but Georgia Now by canceling the game against UCLA joined almost all of the rest of the league and currently only having three non-conference match up at George I believe has Louisville that year I think it's got Western Kentucky and it's got Georgia Tech so three non-conference games currently scheduled for Georgia in 2026 which perhaps opens the door to the SEC for playing that nine game conference schedule you have seen some of this as of L uh USC and Old Miss their cancellation some of the cancellations that we've seen recently when it comes to sort of SEC non-conference matchups has had the result of now when you get to 2026 which is the next year that we don't currently have an SEC schedule in plays perhaps that's the door being open for the SEC moving into a nine game conference schedule and if that does happen it becomes fair to wonder well if Georgia uccla is cancelled we've already seen Georgia Oklahoma canceled all of these big non-conference matchups that Georgia wants very very interestingly put on its schedule for the future will any of these eventually get played because all of a sudden now Georgia Texas is an SEC game so that's no longer sort of a non-conference match up at one point in time it was scheduled how about Georgia Florida State we're supposed to get that eventually Georgia Louisville as I mentioned before we're supposed to get that you know Georgia is supposed to be going to Ohio State at some point in time in the future do those games actually end up getting played I think you could wonder if they will just given the fact that both the SEC and the Big 10 are about to have major schedule Chang but bottom line here is while a lot of attention will be paid to Georgia not traveling back to Pasadena for the first time since the rose bow uh at the end of the 2017 season the bigger deal here is it takes a non-conference opponent away from Georgia in 2026 leaving nine weeks open to perhaps expand the SEC schedule if that is what we want to do and that is around the doghouse here today now before we get ready to bring on Connor Riley and I have a fun conversation with him about this and other topic let me also give a shout out here for a moment to our friends at the Finish long drink of course tomorrow on Friday we always love to kind of close out our week with the long finish brought to you by the finished long drink and we'll get ready to do that for you uh here this weekend there as well and obviously we look back to our friend Cody Chaffin his Beach vacation with that peach flavored version of the finished long drink in the peach can how good it looks sitting right there on the sand if you're listening you can hear the uh sound of the Waves crashing we've said before the finished long drink just goes great when you are out and about going to the beach or anything that you're doing so make sure you try some whether it's the peach flavored version that Cody's clearly enjoying right there or the long drink zero no carbs no sugar long drink cranberry still a very popular choice in my neighborhood long drink strong 8 and half% alcohol by volume I know some of yall like that and then the traditional which is probably still my favorite I know Kaylee Manzel she says that's her favorite too the blue Cam the grapefruit flavor the Gin kick a great time right now to enjoy yourself some finished long ring so make sure you do that here today of course we're always happy to have them as a part of dog Nation daily all right I have gone long but we've also touched on like three stories so perhaps that's somewhat forgivable but for now let's get into everything else going on with ug here as we welcome in for the first time in a long time our buddy Connor Riley on dog Nation daily presented by Mary weather and Tharp here [Music] DawgNation Insider Connor Riley joins the show today from anthens and across the SEC or wherever the recruiting Trail may lead here's a dog.com rare Thursday appearance for Connor Riley on dog Nation daily and also after you know some well-deserved vacation here also kind of the first time long time appearance for Connor on the show overall welcome back uh Connor trust that you had a great vacation and we're glad to be talking Georgia football with you here once again I am about to rain on the parade here can I break some some bad news for you ba please do please do uh two more Georgia football players have been arrested on reckless driving charges uh inside linebacker SCH mundon was arrested last night uh at 11 11:05 released on $26 Bond at 12:25 a.m Thursday morning he was arrested on a reckless driving charge in a racing uh on Highway streets charge and then Bo Two UGA players arrested for traffic violations huy earlier in the week was also arrested on a reckless driving charge and a failure to maintain uh Lane uh charge there as well and so this is two more driving arrests for a Georgia program that really unfortunately can't be having any sorts of driving arrests given the events that happened in 2023 obviously and then we see the scrutiny with Trevor etn earlier this year and certainly only inflamed by the comments made by Mike Gundy earlier this week at the Big 12 media day so two more driving related arrests for the University of Georgia football program senior inside linebacker small mundon and red trip freshman offensive Tacko Bo Huli so I'm assuming this news has just come out is that is that right how how recent is this news this has just come out uh mundan was arrested uh last night who huy was arrested and both players have since been released uh huie was arrested on Tuesday night there but this is just breaking right now as I join you yes so like obviously and and and thank you Connor for uh giving us that breaking news that's obviously not what want would be talking about but it's but it is a thing that must be discussed and you know I guess it's the mod part of this that jumps out to me more so than anything else for a couple of reasons is because mondan is one of supposedly the the key leaders on this team both in terms of the vocal and on feel when healthy and the other part of the mon story here is is that you use the word racing which is a little bit of a different type of charge that's a little bit of a different type of thing than just I would say speeding uh not being a legal expert but it just sort of lands with me a little bit different so you know I think that's one of those things that probably will be you know it's it's obvious see it's certainly serious enough that it warrants a discussion right yeah and you I think can now rightfully call in a question Smiles availability for That season opener against Clemson last year we saw in the season opener for Georgia uh Marcus rosemy Jack sa did not play in that game following to driving related or a driving related arrest uh in May of that year after obviously the tragedy involving Devon and Devon willick and Chandler lroy and so now you know small M A sen leader a guy that is expected to play a lot of snaps be a really important contributor based on what we have sefic can I call time out specifically going to be out there for Georgia just given what we have seen in recent history Kirby Smart and you can yeah can I call time out just for a second so I think we have a delay and um I think we may can we do this Cody and Jake can we maybe let Connor go and maybe just try to get him back audio only see if we can get a better signal on that because this is an important conversation I want to make sure that he's hearing me as well as he can and that we're hearing him as well as we can too because this obviously just kind of coming out here uh smile mondan and bo hugle uh and I I believe if I have this right unrelated but obviously coming out at the same time both arrested on traffic related offenses so this is important enough that want to make sure that our audience is hearing Connor as well as can so if we can get Connor back Maybe audio only if that uh is is is better we might uh be able to do that and I'll go to dognation dcom and also see if we can get the official facts and all of this and we were just talk okay so we yes so we do have him all right so Conor uh appreciate all of that and so as we were saying and we're clearly sort of finding about this know here in the moment that you you mentioned for Mon and you kind of wonder about okay availability you know for a season opener against against Clemson uh because of the potential severity of all of this but how about anything I guess larger than that for now is it too early to speculate on anything like that yeah it's too early to yet as far as what was actually happening and what transpired there uh I think the important thing to Just note here is that these guys have been arrested they were released on Bond and again this is just a Georgia program that has had this issue continue and you know for 99% of the programs in college football this isn't a big deal but given what is transpired at Georgia it takes who's expected to be one of your better players on defense this coming season and and like look I don't put this on Kirby these guys know they've been taught they've been told uh that this is something they can't be doing and you know I'm sure they're going to be National media type that are going to want to try and hold Kirby Smart accountable the timing of this really stinks with SEC media days on Tuesday Kirby Smart is once again going to have to get in front of a large group of people and answer question on this and so I think it completely goes away and In fairness it's probably never going away because this is again 18 to 22 year olds this just sort of what they do this is going to be a contu issue and something that I think people can pick at the Georgia program about because of the way that it just continues to keep happening with small Mund and Bo Huli being the latest yes so you know we Will Trevor Etienne still be suspended talked about the Trevor ATN thing before you joined us here which obviously you know kind of at least rhymes with some of this here a little bit and what I said about that I don't think changes even in line of what we're now learning about a couple of other uh I guess you know traffic related arrest you know for Georgia here which is that to me etn used the same legal process that any civilian would have available to them when it came to a charge like this and that that etn got that charge reduced used and so therefore if etn ends up playing against Clemson um I don't have any kind of problem with that I you know I don't think that Georgia has some sort of extra responsibility more so than the legal system itself to to punish etn for his wrongdoing here and you mentioned the Ali Gordon thing which obviously has been kind of weird this week because of what Mike Gundy said but once again you know I don't find that to have any relationship to etn situation there as well that I I know this is a little bit of a cloud hanging Over Georgia for obvious reasons once again you know I I don't know that etn needs to Bear any extra responsibility on this than any other citizen would have if he were kind of dealing with the same situation or frankly any other Georgia player that that etn had his charges reduced he had a right to seek the same kind of legal resolution anybody else would that happened and so therefore if etn ends up playing against Clemson I believe that he probably will I also don't have some huge problem if he does even though it goes without saying we're against you know drinking and driving or any kind of unsafe driving uh to begin with all right we may have completely and again Mike Gundy made in like in regards to maybe suspending or or not suspending uh Ali Gordon there like this is a business at the end of the day and yes at some point along the way uh it had college has morphed from molding young men and things like that and turning them into best citizens to you have billion dooll TV contracts and N money on the line and things of that nature it's just a different sort of world we live in and I think you know gundy's comments as honest maybe too honest as they were I think reflect the way in the world in which we in and I do think that that reflects back on Trevor etn because at the same point in time like sure in a world with the arrest that he had maybe you do want to try and punish him and and teach him the lesson that may needs to be learned there at the same point in time Kirby Smart's here to win games those guys are on this Georgia football team to win games and Trevor etn being on the field makes Georgia's chances of winning games better and so I I I think that this is just something that we're all sort of having to Grapple with and I don't maybe really know the exact moment in time of when I think we were willing to look past these off field transgressions and make it solely about about winning and what's on the field there uh you know maybe you can point I think one moment that jumps out to me domestic assault uh incident and I want to say 2014 goes to a junior college Alabama brings him back and when you have a program and I'm not putting this on Nick Sabin but when when you have a program like Alabama that's willing to do whatever it takes to win you're forcing everyone else to play by those rules and now I think as we've seen all these years later uh this is sort of the world in which we live in and there's a much grayer area now in terms of you know is this guy going to play should he play whereas in the days of say when Mark Rick was at Georgia and I Know It frustrated a lot of fans that they would take this stance but if you got a DUI if you got arrested or something like that you're missing two games and so it'll be interesting to see how shows us you know last season Saint all like a very different game it was not the caliber of opponent as Clemson in game after a reckless driving arrest so No surprise the UCLA series was dropped I'm going to to ask one more question here because we have actually on this is not Connor's fault this is on our end we're having some internet issues here today in terms of our uh guest connection so let me try to do a completely different topic here on something that's perhaps a little bit more fun just for a moment obviously people can go to dog nation.com to get more details on what we're learning about M and hugley here right now and perhaps what might be next and all of that before you joined us I talked about a story UCLA Georgia not traveling to Pine in 2025 UCLA not coming back to Athens in 2026 that home in home that was scheduled in 2015's now been cancelled and while a lot of people will pay attention to the fact that Georgia won't be traveling to California for this kind of I guess renewal of the fun of playing in the Rose Bowl at the end of the 2017 season to me this looks to be more about the 2026 season where Georgia now joins a lot of other SEC teams in only having three scheduled nonconference opponents which 2026 being the first year for which we don't currently have an SC schedule in place it certainly seems like the foundation is being laid for the possibility of playing a nine game conference schedule in 2026 which means in the future a lot of these big-time non-conference matchups that at one point in time Georgia was getting set for maybe none of these ever get played because the SEC is now expanding uh certainly the number of teams there are now 16 and perhaps soon the number of conference games by 2026 maybe there's nine losing the UCLA series is a bummer but Florida and Cal was also canceled I believe UCLA and Auburn uh cancel a series there as well as you rightly point out ba we are seeing more and more nine game uh possibilities when it comes to an SEC Conference and we've known I think for a while that the SEC wants to get to a nine game uh conference schedule if ESPN is willing to give them more money now I have some bad news for Greg sanki ESPN is not going to give you any more money uh they are paying 2.7 billion dollars a year for NFL rights uh it is was reported yesterday uh by the athletic that they're going to be paying $2.6 billion dollars a year for NBA rights uh I don't think there's much of an appetite right now to renegotiate SEC deals after having so recently done so in the recent past so we're going to see what what the SEC wants to do here in terms of schedule because I don't think that they're necessarily going to get the money that they're looking for and they have a choice and I'm sure Kirby's going to be asked about it next week and they say you know look look we got to see how this college football playoff scheduling sort of goes and works out where yeah if you're rewarded for playing these big games you know Texas Michigan is a game that jumps to mind this year uh Clemson Georgia there as well where the loser of that game are they hurt all that much because of the fact that that game didn't go their way but they still went out and schedule themselves a big game or if one of those teams does miss the playoff in part because of that non-conference loss and they do have two to three conference losses I I I think that is only going to further the appetite to get rid of these games and maybe push college football back into a more Regional sort of sport uh as opposed to maybe something that is spanning to a national level right now you know you're if you're Georgia you're still going to play Georgia Tech every year so you'll have a power for non-conference opponent every year and while I like the direction that Georgia Tech is trending as a program I certainly understand if you don't feel that they're at the caliber of say uh a UCLA or another big Marquee name out there so we'll see if these games against Clemson Clemson I might be more willing to guess gets played just because of the regionness there but like Ohio State for example Florida State where there isn't that same recent history that exists with those two programs then I think things get a little different there uh Connor it's great stuff I apologize for our connection issues but we certainly appreciate your information and we'll look forward to reading more from you at dognation docomo again very soon there as well thank you so much for your time yep as always it was a pleasure let's take a look around the rest of the League this is SEC through it's almost like when you're watching like news when you're a kid and they're interviewing some correspondent in like some other country it's like you got like the satellite phone the the the Fairly significant delay there uh I guess we must be having some internet issues there today but we certainly appreciate Conor's information and obviously and I don't want to talk about driving arrest and things like that I I just don't um you know I don't know uh let me just say this and part of the reason I don't like talk about this stuff because I end up talking about things that are not sports related never a good idea like if you want this to go away I think what you really need you know a lot of Georgia fans get upset just being honest with the police sometimes because they like ah police you not to get you know the Georgia players whatever else I really do believe that if you want this to go away the police are actually your allies here not your enemy because you can look and y'all Google your friend on this you know do your own research like in 2021 2022 I'm talk about nationally traffic stops had gone way down there were just way fewer traffic stops in 2021 way fewer traffic stops in Ash in 2022 and bad outcomes from driving over the course of that time went way way up again you there's all kinds of news reporting out there on this you can look it up you can sort of find that for yourself so what we sort of see is is that thing that police is no pun intena Behavior more than anything else is the certainty that you're going to get caught and I know it's sort of ticky Tack and people don't like the kind of what you call like pretextual stops and things like that they don't like sort of feel like you got thousand police all over the roads you know speed traps things like that looking for you but the certainty that you're not going to get away with something decreases the prevalence of the behavior it just sort of does and it also has the byproduct of making it safer too which said before like this is the problem and stuff like this happens like during the show I don't take the time to kind of filter my my thoughts and avoid saying things we don't typically say but if you want this to cff to go away you probably need a little bit more aggressive policing and not less aggressive policing which is not what people want to hear necessarily but I believe it's probably true all right with that said uh let us get ready to transition something much much happier here right now which is Cruise run the SEC courtesy of Royal Caribbean Crusin Around The SEC presented by Royal Caribbean obviously my chance next week I'm so excited about being on Utopia of the Seas Utopia is actually this week kind of debuting some of the stuff that we're all going to get a chance see next week and then when uh you know folks start sailing on these first Crews things like that and so there's so much excitement out there right now about what makes this just as much fun as all the other OAS class ships have been and some of the stuff that sort of making this a little bit better there as well in fact I told you about some of this the other day so some of the things that have become kind of a fixture on some of these Oasis class ships the ultimate Abyss which is the tallest slide at se they've now made that even taller to make sure it kind of remains the tallest slide you know there's like an arms race of so and so builds a slide well if that be the case then Royal crib is going to find a way to make theirs 50 feet longer uh and the water slides they've kind of used uh I guess water slide technology now make the water slides a little faster a little bit more fun and there's just a lot of that uh they're always trying to find a way to make the experience great and one thing about Utopia of the Seas every single sailing is going to go to Perfect Day Coco K that Private Island right there in the Bahamas so I'm excited about experiencing this I'm thrilled that our dog Nation cruise is going there in April and if you want to make your own Royal Caribbean cruise vacation plans because man there is so much energy around that brand right now uh our friend Jessica Slater can help you out with all that you can give her a call 770 718 9147 77 718 9147 you can also email her J Slater atream vacations.com she can get you booked up and ready to go on this terrific trip and so many other fun things uh Utopia of the Seas and everything going on with Royal Caribbean Jessica Slater can get you going on all of that here right now now let's cruise R the SEC courtesy of Royal EA Sports ranks the Top 100 players Caribbean and I want to touch on what we're talking about earlier which is the top 100 players from EA Sports for the college football video game and I I kind of want to approach this a little bit like what Connor was just talking about which is when it comes to the SEC and its desire to get more money from its TV contract by adding taxes in Oklahoma ESPN was just under no obligation to do that and so therefore facing no obligation they just didn't there was an agreement they would PR rate for any new League members and so from that standpoint they did and when you say Pro rate it means okay so if the SEC team is getting like X number of million then we'll give the additional money required to make sure every team still gets X number of million but the idea of getting a premium additional money on top of what you're already getting because theoretically you're more valuable league with the lucrative additions of Tex and Oklahoma ESPN said we don't have to do that and therefore we're not doing that so if you want to play a niname conference schedule you can but we're not paying you extra money for doing that it was a negotiation that the SEC just lost and I've told you this before every negotiation is always won by the party that wants the outcome the least and in the case of the secc they really wanted this outcome ESPN said yeah we don't really want to do that and it's just an example of some some High Ground the SEC once would have had it's just sort of slipped here a little bit and I do think we see other examples of that like back before Texon Oklahoma joined the SEC there was no question who the top League in college athletics was and frankly the SEC had no rival but in all of the moments in which that have happened kind of since Tex oklah Oklahoma came to the SEC we have seen some sort of tectonic plates shift around college football to the point now where the SEC does theoretically have a rival somehow someway Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC has created a chain reaction that's actually reduced the standing the SEC has as in comp comparison to the rest of college sports and there are lots of examples of that being true I'll give you the latest here and this really doesn't matter all that much necessarily but it's at least another data point to consider did you know in the EA Sports top 100 players for college football here in 2024 did you know there are more players in the Big 10 than there are from the SEC now a lot of this is just sort of made up and it's like just somebody's opinion and things like that uh and clearly there's a an attempt to sort of put your thumb on the scale to kind of make it more palatable for the video game audience we've seen some examples of that but it's still a data point here there is still you know just a fact that that there are more big 10 players recognized on this list and there are guys from the SEC it's sort of another example of on Greg s's watch the SEC is slipping just a little bit not necessarily on the field all that much although the reigning national champions currently from the Big 10 and the last time we saw two teams from the same conference make the playoff that was also the Big 10 uh it's still not necessarily on the field where we're seeing that slippage occurring the most but we're seeing some of that slippage and the SEC I think needs to be very honest about this that it's standing as the obvious unquestioned top conference in college football has been threatened and Greg s's leadership needs to do something about this year right now I think you need to reverse that Trend we'll see if they do I thought it was really interesting to see how much uh Georgia got love in this top 100 list and some of the interesting names that sort of got that love uh for for instance Tate rage coming in at number 10 uh we love that for him uh the fact that Dylan Fairchild came in at number 49 on this list I mean think about that for Dylan uh we're thrilled about that for him because we think that's the kind of recognition he deserves but a guy who's in a pretty significant playing Time battle right now with a guy like M Morris is also in the same breath being mentioned as one of the 50 best players in college football we find that to be pretty Remar remarkable here uh right now you know uh Clemson's got guys like bar Carter coming in number 15 that's one of those names and another one of these Georgia high school products as well as we get closer to that season opening game for Georg against Clemson a guy like Barrett Carter is goingon to be have more attention paid to him it's interesting to see that Carson Beck comes at number 18 on the list one spot behind shador Sanders is that an example of Sanders really being as good as some people think he is or uh EA Sports as they've been accused of being just a little too much love for uh for the Colorado program we we'll see we've talked so much about Mel Williams as of late Williams comes at number 20 on this list uh it's also interesting that trevan Henderson comes in at number 23 from Ohio State you know for all the talk about Quin Sean junkins I think there are a lot of people who believe that junkins is actually not as good as a fully healthy trayon Henderson one of the running backs there for Ohio State that kind of gets pretty interesting so there's some fun stuff going on with all of that uh top 100 players the EA Sports college football video game coming out here pretty soon uh in the next few days and believe it or not I may have something fun to tell you about something that's going on with me in this EA Sports college football video game we'll get to that here coming up maybe in just a little bit for now though let's make that cruising around the SEC courtesy of Royal Caribbean speaking of fun and speaking of Clemson while I have your attention let me also remind you that we are getting so much closer to that season kick off against the Clemson Tigers right there in Atlanta and of course our dog Nation Invasion event is is such a big part of that there as well our season opening kickoff game and our season opening among many events that we'll be doing here in 2024 the very prolific as of late with some fun golden Cho submissions is our buddy Golden Shoes and Gator Hater Georgia on t he shows up here once again you know a lot of talk right now about you know who's developing whom and you know who's really doing a good job with that when it comes to the NFL draft well uh uh uh George on tap kind of showing you hey when it comes to scouting and development commitment uh whether it be the story of LA makoni or statson Bennett or Jordan Davis or t Crowder T Smith Javon Bullard Justin schaer aiz oari Eric Stokes you know when it comes to True development George on tap says nobody's doing that better than these dogs are right now that is clearly a message that's being sold and seemingly uh working on the recruiting Trail here right now so as George on tap points that out we'll give him a golden shoe for doing so lousy stinking Gators they're not developing anything but heartache for their fans uh and it's been 1342 days since they have beaten the Georgia Bulldogs that is our Gator hater updator we'll see all of you back here tomorrow dog Nation daily presented by Mary with and thar we look forward to talking to you then and on video time RS will obviously try to do a good Full Slate of those for you tomorrow before we get ready to uh before we get ready to wrap things up for a little while for me what a what an interesting time I've got coming up in my life and sort of a different type of thing for a dog Nation daily here today too I should say over the course of that period too but we'll talk to you more about that there at the time so apparently I told you all if you're watching during our first and 15 a little earlier that I was having some uh computer issues apparently that's the entire building here right now um has that impacted us on the air today have we had any kind of issue with that related to that hopefully not okay so it's not impacting our actual stream but man what a mess it is for the computer so let me just try to just do this off my phone maybe that may just go a little bit better here uh well here it's popping up I'll try I'll try to get them both uh pulled up here we'll see which one happens first uh on YouTube to talk here for a moment we won't be crazy long as I said before because we got a lot of stuff going on but uh on YouTube all right this may just be the best way right here like D says that rattled mullet is a direct descendant of Samson's hair yeah he does have the long flowing hair going for sure calino says yes another Cruise listen it's not easy work right you know it's one of those things where I think a lot of people depend on me to go on these missions I think of more like a mission and when a new ship like Utopia the Seas is opening up people want to know what's this ship like well there's really only one way to find out you have to actually be there and be on it so uh it's tough work it is and oftentimes it's a thankless job but uh but I do enjoy it so yeah there you go uh let's see what else Foster Moss says Connor's Wi-Fi was acting up because he was trying to download the ncaa2 now unfortunately I think today that I'm being told that was on our end not his end uh by the way I I briefly mentioned this I may have something for y'all as it relates to nc2 interesting conversations going on behind the scenes here interesting conversations going on behind the scenes uh skull fly checking in he says Lesco dogs longtime subscriber skull we appreciate that thank you for being here today appreciate that for sure Dil gives you glory glory to Old Georgia Dr Gonzo says who's that coming down the track Foster moss and the subject smile M thing yeah you know I just don't know what to do with that really it obviously comes out while we're doing the show it's not a fun conversation it's not um and you know I've said many many times that um uh part of our success around here is that we stay in our lane we don't talk about things we're not supposed to talk about and I'm usually if given time to prepare a topic pretty good at filtering what we will what we won't discuss when things happen like in the moment that filter is not quite working quite as well so you know maybe I went down a road I typically wouldn't go down but um you know if you want less of this stuff I think you need more rest not less uh to let people know that if you drive too fast you're going to get caught cuz ultimately that's that's kind of what happens and I don't know you know let me just not say anything else about that because there's there's a lot more I could say but I'm not going to uh let's see what else Bobby Richardson says growing up I was more scared about football coaches finding out about my bad behavior than actually getting in trouble by the person that caught me Dad and Coach two people I don't want to cross and I and I do get that that's sort of the I think especially Southern tradition of you know you get in trouble at school the teacher goes to the coach a lot of y'all grew up with that I certainly know that I did that you didn't want your coach to sort of find out what you did but when it comes to legal stuff you this idea that there's almost no legal punishment at all but it's somehow the responsibility for the coach to now have the heavy Hand of Justice like I don't think that's necessarily the way it's supposed to be both in terms of sports or just real life there as well I mean think about your job right it's like if you got in trouble for something with the law but there was no like actual punishment for it but then your employer was like yeah but we're going to teach you a lesson we're going to fire you is that really the way that you want that to work you know maybe in some cases it does work that way but to me it's more along the lines of hey if you step out of bounds legally let the legal system take care of you and then once you've paid your debt to society well now you're back as a functioning member of society again right I mean like that's just sort of the way that I would see that but perhaps perhaps others see it differently um let's see what else Demar 42 says how did Dylan Fairchild get ranked at 91 he got ranked higher than that though didn't he was he 49 I think a lot of that's also based on the PFF rankings there too I think that's the case was it 91 okay I said 49 earlier okay thank you so Jay telling me is his he's got a 91 rating and a 49 ranking boy for someone like me who has limited intelligence that is hard to to to keep up with uh all right let's see we'll see all right we're going to we'll get some charts up here in a moment uh I feel like I'm teaching a class here um or you have like the Zoom meetings we have to share your screen we'll share our screen here in a moment uh let's see what else you know Lance D on the subject of mon there too I mean look I totally get that it is wrong and you shouldn't do it and if anybody ought to know that it's Georgia players I do get that at the same time y'all I can't be that heavy-handed of well how could a guy like that drive too fast when the honest truth is I probably drove too fast coming here today and you know I I just think I just think you gotta be real about some of this kind of stuff which is how can smile M and drive too fast because it's easy to drive too fast like to me it might just be as simple as that and and I'm not making light of anything that's happened and I'm not I mean as I said before some things are so self-evident they should not have to be said of course we're against dangerous behavior and things like that but when it comes to driving a car you know it's just it's easy to get dangerous real fast it just is but you know being more heavy-handed I just don't know that I necessarily solve anything by by being that way um so I don't know what you do with it I really don't I really don't I I don't know what to do with it but I tell you this I wish we weren't talking about it today I promise you that um how about this uh Cassie Turner says I just came back from a Cruz two weeks ago the Georgia Ohio State game was playing the sports bar and it was wonderful Cassie that is a great way to spend your summer there right there enjoying all of that all right let me see if I can pull up uh dog nation.com comments here as well although maybe I have these already up right here do I have these um let us see what else is going on let let me try to pull these up and I'm sorry y'all we've had you know a little bit of internet today it's kind of slowing us down a little bit so let's see if I can get and take some comments dog nation.com then we'll come see over oh Randy Hall says where are gifts in the mail I I promise they're coming I promise they're coming I told In fairness to me when we started this back in what was it March I did say that this would be the least organized thing of all time and I have made good on that promise but they are coming at a certain point in time um let's see what else Johnny Prescott says schedule there they got the rankings Johnny Prescott said schedules are about as uh uh confirmed his verbal commitment seems like that's probably the case all right so here are the Georgia players by the way shout out to Oscar Del making the top 100 too that's thrilling to see uh and so so you got Delp whose rank is 99 his overall rating is 90 it'ss an 86 for Speed what is the is acceler is that what AC acceleration acceleration there you go Str Str is that strength strength yes is strong awareness and jumping all right so awareness and jumping I think that I think that my awareness may be more like a 10 uh yeah so there you go uh so so good numbers there on that um Dyan Fairchild 48th rated player uh overall 91 66 for Speed 78 for acceleration 89 for strength awareness 91 like some of these I loved and listen and I'm all about the game some of these I'd like to know like exactly how like show me your working in terms of you measure the awareness uh for so and so some of this may just be sort of somewhat using your imagination you see the overall scores there from Malachi Starks they are remarkable this is also uh very good stuff to uh kind of get a little bit more details about this and I certainly appreciate that um uh Carson Beck maybe maybe a little low with 77 for his acceleration just given the fact that uh kind of sneaky with his legs sometimes maybe that's the case Randy Hall says only Alabama has more players ranked in the top 100 than us which a gives you an idea of why you know Georg is expected to have such a good season by the way kind of also in keeping with what we've been saying about Alabama which as the season gets closer probably a little higher on their chances to be really successful I think it's also interesting to look at you know some of these teams that um you were thought to have playoff aspirations and things like that and yet don't have a lot of players in this top 100 you kind of wonder where you're going to really be able to do that if that's not quite what you have all right let me go to Facebook here for a moment take a few comments over there and maybe try to do like one more kind of you know Tripper on the uh Moon here before we leave uh let's see what else Robert Jose says if Arch Manning hits the portal I'm bringing him to Georgia but I'll try to convince Beck to say another year you know technically Beck could come back in 2025 I don't think there's any chance he will in fact he's pretty much already said that he won't but he does have a CO year that he could come back you know for another season I don't believe Arch Manning's transfering from Texas it seems like they have a pretty strong agreement there where he's as Jake from kind of alluded to last week of the show seemingly probably getting paid pretty well to sit right now maybe that's the case oh Shane guy gonna be on Utopia the season next Friday so I'm actually going to be there uh getting off on Thursday so maybe we'll see each other uh transitioning there at the Port but uh but I'm really excited to hear you are on board the ship that's amazing good so Shane I can't wait to to compare notes with you and find out how much you enjoy all that because I think that's going to be really uh fun that's that's really exciting uh really exciting uh let's see what else William kamacho says my opinion for this matter is that Kirby Smart needs to take their driving privileges away I guess so but once again I don't know this probably just gets me in trouble for saying this but if you want their driving privileges taken away for getting a speeding ticket then your issue is not with Kirby Smart your issue is with the law that what you're really saying is I want stiffer penalties for driving offenses which to be honest with you I'm not necessarily against but whatever rules we or laws we put out there for others we have to you know kind of be subject to those same laws because listen this is just how life goes you know if you're driving too fast you get pulled over my response to you is well listen you shouldn't been driving too fast if I'm driving too fast and get pulled over my response to myself is well you don't understand I've got somewhere I've got to be and you know I was just in a hurry whatever else you know we have a tendency to kind of judge others by their actions and judge ourselves by our intent like my intent was to you know get where I needed to go and I got a speeding ticket we don't like Ticky Tac you know traffic stops when they impact us but when they impact others we just sort of think that's a natural consequence to bad behavior and that's just kind of how life goes so if you want a reckless driving or something like that to have a really stiff penalty then I think your issue is with like the law which once again might be a good idea I mean to be honest I would sort of be okay with that um but that's kind of how that goes I think um let's see what else let me let me Bounce Around the other comment sections here one more time we'll get ready to wrap up uh Jeremy Harbin mentioning yeah Michigan's got a lot of guys ranked high on that list a lot of guys ranked High and and you know I don't know like a lot of times is it CBS or ESPN they'll kind of also do their top 100 list there as well it would be interesting to look at a top 100 list from like a major national outlet that just sort of based on perception on the field and sort of a top 100 list for a video game and sort of see how much they did match up that would be pretty interesting to see I think I think that'd be pretty interesting to see Foster Moss wondering if I've had my suitcase tires and rotated and balance which is very funny very funny obviously we've used our suitcase a lot although on this particular trip for Utopia of the Seas like I typically am not the lightest packer in the world for a lot of reasons but on this one we got to pack super light because we got to try to get in and out because you know the the day we get back from Utopia we're also leaving to go uh with my son on uh an event that's going to take us away for the following week after that and um that's one of those deals where like I don't fly a lot I like my my preference for travel is to drive I just I I like being able to pack whatever I want to pack and not have to worry too much about that I also like driving um you know uh I know what's his face is doing his gas station thing like I like gas stations too I I like stopping at gas stations and I like you know sharing the road with truck driver I I enjoy driving I enjoy road trips things like that so my preference is nor unless it's a really long way away my preference is to drive um but in this particular case I'm not going to be able to do that and so for someone who doesn't doesn't fly a ton I've got two very very tight turnarounds on some flights here coming up and I'm a little nervous about that I'm a little nervous about that um all right a couple more we're going get ready to leave uh Matt Rina says I go 70 on the highway drives my wife nuts but you'll never get pinched by law going five over yeah I mean to be honest with you I you know I don't even know that I necessarily drive too fast I I think one of the things I've discovered is I I told this to our first 15 audience and I promise We're not gonna be like I was looking at like this thing that talking about Actuarial tables and like you know basically you have a greater than 1% chance of dying in a car wreck which to me seems kind of scary and like one of the things I'm bad about doing is I don't drive too fast but I probably do drive too aggressively um you like you know I'll never go 90 on the highway and nor should you by the way you always sort of have to like you know say things like that I reckon um like I will never go 90 on the highway but do I have a tendency to drive a little too close to people sometimes and change lanes a little too quickly things like that I probably do but when you really see that you know like I mean people die in car wrecks I mean it's bad as it is it kind of makes you realize you know maybe I shouldn't drive you know you know maybe taking a little longer being a little bit more patient never being distracted Maybe by doing those things I'm reducing the chances of an early death and I don't I don't mean to be so serious but mean I I I I have been sort of thinking about some of that a little bit lat uh for various reasons all right uh we're going to get ready to go here in a moment anything else before we get ready to go uh Paul Moon also pointing out that if and this is just a football fact that if mon were to miss some time because of this then uh given the depth that Georg has an inside linebacker not easy to assume you get that back and that is just a that is just an unavoidable fact that you know while you want to be as deep as you possibly can be um Georgia might be deep enough that some guys could find a real home there um if he's not playing just given just given how much Georgia seems to have going on at that position I think that's true um Jeremy Harbin says no need to speed or be in a hurry at our age yeah I mean I just think that in any age right it's just like you know driving is so common that we take for granted like the power that we have in our hands when we're driving a vehicle and you know we're willing to tolerate a fairly High high risk of D I'm talk about we as a society we tolerate a fairly high risk of danger from driving because life is so much more efficient with all these cars in the highway people are getting where they need to go it kind of generates you know uh action for the economy and you know like we have sort of a baked in level of tolerance for danger and frankly death we tolerate some of that because the overall benefits really really high but we also have a tendency to because driving is everywhere we're always driving we're doing this and you know for the most part our bad behavior while behind the wheel doesn't result in an immediate negative consequence because that happens we just sort of convince ourselves that it's all way safer than it actually is so I don't know where that you know leaves us when it comes stuff like this but I do think that way third will says he only goes 90 on the highway if he's going to por canaval well luckily uh the beach Line Expressway from Orlando to por canaval you don't have to drive near that fast nice straight shot uh you know listen we don't like the lousy stinking Gators but there are some things the State of Florida does really well and I would say that some of their roads you know like this is a toll road you got to pay for it and everything uh but I would say that the State of Florida does some things well and I would say roads are one of those things uh super easy just to sort of shoot down the Florida Turnpike and then shoot across the beach line and you were just right there at Port canav that's why I like driving there that's why I like to drive uh there um all right we're gonna go good stuff uh so yeah uh and then tomorrow last show for me for a while and I have not said that in a long time uh this will be the longest stretch we've gone without dog Nation daily so uh but we'll still have stuff for you just
