MAJOR UPDATE on Orioles ACE Corbin Burnes and the New York Mets

hi everybody this is the baseball head amazing spectacular terrific the great one the people's Champion yeah host welcome back to the baseball H hopefully you like this video and hit that subscribe button I'm doing this video as the me game's on um we playing the Padres on Friday I wanted to do this video it's just sort of a followup on Corbin Burns somebody wrote to me saying that well you know Corin bars is not gonna sign with the Mets because David Stars this year and he was he was Bas literally the reason why uh there was so much acrimony during that arbitration case with Burns and the Brewers well I'm so glad this person sent me this comment he doesn't know I said that to him at the time he has no idea he's talking about just wanted to give you an update on this from si.com headline Superstar hurles comments about free agency could be good for the Mets the Mets Land one of the best pitchers in baseball this winter well Money Talks Money Talks the New York Mets could look to heavily spend this upcoming offseason New York's payroll will get significantly easy to work with and the Mets likely will be willing to spend Met's top external Target will be superstar Slugger Juan SoDo newk will attempt to retain first baseman Peter Lonzo as well the Mets likely will need to find a way to add another top starter to the rotation as well at the Mets or to miss out on SoDo Baltimore oral Ace Corin Burns could be the next best option his experience working with M president baseball operation David Sterns with Milwaukee Brewers and C clearly is is looking ahead to fre agency Burns joined the Athletics will salmon to discuss free agency and his comments could be a good sign for the Mets quote I'm going to have to do a lot of research this off season on farm system young guys coming up groups of core guys that are on a team burn said what does it look like teams are going and be competitive We Are teams just looking to spend some money to make the fan base happy whatever it might be I think I can provide value in helping to evaluate some young guys on the staff is it a group of young pitchers where maybe they'll miss the miss the postseason this year but they had the pieces do it now and for the long term that's important knowing that you can provide more value to a team that's going to be in postseason and maybe elevate young guys he will be looking that's what he said he'll be looking around the fridge and the m fit into what is what he's looking for maybe the two sides could come together on a deal this off season now he also said in this interview which this article didn't provide uh is that he also said that the acrimony that they had the Brewers and burns during this arbitration case is basically water under the bridge he said he will sign with any team uh next year and that uh he he likes David Sterns David Sterns likes him and also a little bit of a mention uh that Sterns was not that involved with that particular he had basically relinquished the general manager duties to Matt Arnold who is the general manager of the Brewers and he basically let him run the arbitration cases uh for that off season so I just wanted to give you this update I think it's a good update I mean really no player is ever going to close the door on any team especially when it comes to money and especially a team that is a big spending team like the Mets are and not they you know they're not going to do that um no no player in their right mind would want to do that and he is a great pitcher the Mets could very well use him at the top of this rotation the Mets need a solid Bonafide Ace he fits the bill this is about as perfect a fit of a player as you could possibly bet you could possibly get this is a more perfect fit than woto a more perfect fit than uh Peter Lonzo and I know there's different positions but the me is certainly use an anchor at the top of the rotation and obviously he knows David Sterns and Sterns knows him and that's a big difference it's a big deal so you let me know what you think about this video very short video wanted to give you an update and of course thank you for watching and I'll see you later
