2024 Fantasy Football Mock Draft | 10-Team PPR - 9th Pick

what's going on everyone welcome back today we've got another live fantasy football mock draft for you back on fantasy pros with a 10 team full PPR mock where we will be selecting ninth overall our roster one quarterback two running backs two wide receivers the tight end a flex and then five bench spots but that's pretty much it so let's get into it and while we wait for it to load a quick other questions you guys might have we'll do our best to answer them all but with that being said let us kick this thing off I will quickly pull up the draft board and show you what has taken place so far we have Christian mcaffrey bejan Robinson the first two picks no issues there cidi Tyreek uh top two wide receivers typically Bree Hall Jamar Chase um seemingly the contract stuff with Jamar chase looking like it is resolved Aman rossin Brown Justin Jefferson so uh I've said this before picking towards the end of the draft especially in a uh 10 Team league really really advantageous there are multiple guys that I would uh be happy with here it's physically impossible for me not to get a running back that I like uh I.E jir Gibbs Jonathan Taylor and or saquan Barkley so what I'm going to do here is I'm going to select a wide receiver that I like and eene Garrett Wilson and then we will see what happens with the second round because after we went Garrett Wilson pretty quick turnaround AJ Brown and jir Gibbs I really like that combo so um you know I would have contemplated taking AJ Brown just getting Garrett Wilson AJ Brown uh getting a huge wide receiver advantage and then seeing what happens at running back in the third round we can kind of keep an eye on that as we draft to see what could have been but now with AJ Brown and jir Gibbs off the board I will definitely be going running back here and I will give the slight Edge to Jonathan Taylor here uh and then let us continue but I think it's again it's it's very very close neck and neck between JT and saquan Barkley both play on offenses where they're going to be uh running the football both on offenses where they have uh quarterbacks that will culture opportunities away from them JT a little bit younger right so uh maybe going with him there not having to play on a new offense things of that nature but again I think it's splitting hairs pulling up the draft board again immediately after our JT pick saquan Barkley then Drake London puka AA Kiren Williams Marvin Harrison Devonte Adams Michael Pitman Chris La Deo go at the 301 Jaylen Herz Josh Allen Derk Henry Travis Kelce Travis etn Sam laort Isaiah Pacho um a lot of people very high in pko so this uh 308 pick here pretty good value but again keep in mind it is a 10 Team league now here um let's take a look at the cheat sheet running backs I'm not the biggest Anan believer I've gone on record said that multiple times before and the other guys maybe there's a small chance of Rashad white aam CRA James Cook Josh Jacobs Mixon or Kenneth Walker Fall to us maybe even in the fifth round I doubt it but I'm pretty tempted to go with either a Jaylen Wadd or a Cooper cup here maybe the AI will um you know if I select Cooper cup because Jaylen Wadd is hurt will give us a chance to land him no that doesn't happen I I think Rashad Rashad white or excuse me not Rashad white jayen Wadd and Cooper cup pretty pretty similar in terms of possibilities um but I decided to go with Cooper Cup in this version I've been drafting a lot of Jaylen Wadd I think both of them right around that range end of the third round is totally respectable so now that Jaylen W and Anan were selected I'm looking at the wide receivers here Evans Nico Collins Brenan UK DJ Moore I honestly I think Ian probably James Cook I know Patrick Mahomes is still on the board but especially in these 10 team leagues I can get probably a CJ strout or a Kyler Murray in the next round and you know not be too too bad so here I'm going to prioritize the running back position because I do expect a little bit run a little bit of a run here um so let's go ahead and do that I will add James Cook to the squad and let's see what happens obviously Patrick M momes was selected I can't say I'm really shocked when it comes to that yeah Patrick Mahomes immediately after our James Cook selection then Rashad White Josh Jacobs Nico Collins Joe Mixon Alvin cimo so all those running backs in fact went Brendan UK and there goes Kenneth Walker in the fifth round Mike Evans Trey McBride DJ Moore Lamar Stefan Diggs DK metap Devon Smith and Mark Andrews here we've got a little bit of a choice to make do we want to go with one of those High upside quarterbacks like a Richardson like a stad do we want to go with a wide receiver like a Malik neighbors a t Higgins do we want to get a tight end I'm I'm pretty tempted by Dalton concade here I realize that we also have James Cook but I'm not super worried about that it's you know tight end and and and running back it's not like it's uh running back in a wide receiver okay there's 95% chance that Don con k would have been available at your next pick my next next pick was in two selections calm down um so we land dton concade um because again this person right here didn't have a tight end and could have very very possibly selected cancade here we could go with CJ strout at this point in time but I do want to just to show you our team Jonathan Taylor James Cook Garrett Wilson Cooper cup dalt concade I want to add some more wide receiver depth let's go and add T Higgins uh as our Flex player we've got an advantage at tight end we've got uh difference makers at running back a wide receiver so I'm gonna go with t Higgins and then maybe there's a chance we can pair up T Higgins with Joe burrow if we're lucky we'll see so I scoop up T Higgins I imagine that those quarterbacks are going to go oh no Joe burrow was selected earlier the I anticipated so after we went to Higgins was Amari Cooper CJ Stout George KD James Connor George Pickins Aaron Jones Christian Kirk Evan Ingram and so again this is why that pick wasn't a reach with d con Kade because in the sixth round we had two tight ends go right uh very well could have gotten another tight end in the seventh round uh Joe bur at the 701 so doesn't quite make it back to us from aandre Stevenson Terry mclen Z flowers Dak David Montgomery DeAndre Swift tank Dell so here kind of just looking at the other roster that's picking right after us they have Anthony Richardson so we don't have to select a quarterback here we can just be patient and go with somebody like a Rashi rice Deontay Johnson uh Calvin Ridley and I think that that's probably going to be the direction we go in and then maybe select Kyler Murray so let's go ahead and do that I will select another wide receiver and that wide receiver will be probably I'm between those the three names I mentioned Rashi rice Deontay John and then Calvin Ridley let's go with I'm going to go with Rashi rice at this point in time no word about suspensions stuff like that has come out so um I'm okay I'm going to add another value here in my opinion in Calvin Ridley Deontay Johnson was selected so no longer an option quarterback oh actually no let's let's go with Kyler Murray let's scoop up Kyler Murray uh and land and and take care of our starting quarterback situation and let's see if uh just kind of looking at the squads okay that's taken care of so we got Kyler Murray zamir white Naji Harris Jordan love Keenan Calvin Ridley Brian Robinson javante Tony Pard um Nick chub Devin single ter Kyle pittz Jake Ferguson Jaden Reed Raheem Jaylen Warren and Austin Eckler so let's see where the value is at this point in time Jonathan Brooks I think could be a nice pick for us here with the way our roster is constructed we've got Taylor we've got James Cook at the start of the Season you know um presumably pretty good selections and then Jonathan Brooks once he returns I think is a very solid pick here what else can we do potential wide receivers lad makoni not a bad choice I kind of want to go Jerome Ford to have him for the start of the Season I'm not fully confident that Nick chub is going to be available for the majority of the year so we're going to go Jerome Ford oh chuba hubard was selected I was kind of hoping like outside chance that chuba hubard would be there that way we kind of lock down the Carolina back field so uh for all those people that are drafting Jonathan Brooks I would recommend also getting chuba hubard he's going to be the starting running back for the Panthers so you can kind of lock that down uh that Back Field down that way now here I'm looking at wide receivers I think that's where the value is at this point in time I'm looking at Brian Thomas I'm looking at uh Josh Palmer Keon Coleman I've got I've already got enough Buffalo stocks so probably going to look elsewhere um so let's we could also handcuff James Cook with Ray Davis don't need to do that right now though I feel like let's go with Brian Thomas and add him to the squad we don't need another quarterback since we've already got Kyler Murray and our final selection here will probably be looking at the cheat sheet again and then just to remind you of the roster Kyler Murray Jonathan Taylor James Cook Garrett Wilson Cooper cup cancade T Higgins Rashi rice Jonathan Brooks Jerome Ford Brian Thomas we're not going tight end we're not going quarterback I don't think we're going running back looking at the name so yeah that just kind of leaves wide receiver uh I believe in Josh Palmer I do he you know maybe lad makoni usurps him as the season progresses but I think he'll still put up decent like startable type of wide receiver numbers so you could do worse here and you've got a solid quarterback throwing you the football like worst case scenario you're the number two option on that offense and if that offense struggles you know falling behind putting up points things like that they're going to have to abandon the run at some point in time so um I think Justin Herbert will be throwing the ball a lot so let's go with uh Josh Palmer here and that will conclude our build let's see the draft grade we get we get a c draft grade uh kind of pedestrian so let's break it down again we have Jonathan Taylor James cook Garrett Wilson Cooper cup I think our first four picks were pretty solid uh JT Garrett Wilson James Cook Cooper cup I like how that went um and then I think we got good value on Dalton cancade same with t Higgins so honestly I think our first six picks were really really strong um Rashid rice we could have you know gone with another uh with another one of those wide receivers it could have been somebody like a Ridley could have been like a Deontay Johnson just preference I think the only thing I might have done differently is probably waited around to select Kyler Murray selected um instead of Kyler Murray select Calvin Ridley to have some more depth there uh but then I'm happy we got Jonathan Brooks as a late season potential Edition Jerome Ford kind of while Jonathan Brooks isn't available uh if something happens to cooker Taylor and then some uh a high upside receiv receiver and Brian Thomas and I think appr proven vet and Josh Palmer so I think overall you know we have high up side guys at each position like Kyler Murray easily should be in the top 10 quarterback conversation uh Jonathan Taylor top five running back Garrett Wilson top five wide receiver Dalton K Kate top five tight end and then potential breakouts
