Chapter 3 pt2 ; Sainte-Engrâce to Etsaut GR10 Crossing the Pyrenees

[Music] good morning good morning look who coming down good morning she too it's a bit windy this morning but it's absolutely beautiful started day 12 we've woken up on this mountain it was really windy where we were camping but our temp survived so we're very happy with it and we were talking to this lovely sheep farmer who was rounding up all the sheep from the mountains with his dogs this morning and he's que to us over so we're going to go up here cross into Spain cross into Spain and go along these mountains on the road over there that's our plan and the winds because it was so windy we managed to actually get our tank 15 minutes yeah we are 15 minutes getting ready so we're happy okay it's very windy but we're going to take us some half time here than the road over there the very windy okay 2 minutes later 2 minutes later and we're out of the wind uh it's amazing look at this amazing view it's just incredible just gets better and better these mountains are just so beautiful oh a vulture yeah but uh I think you very cute little C down number 259e we are just between France and Spain very strange look about the trees so we're hoping this little shortcut is going to mean we don't have to do that big loop on the road and absolutely gorgeous just cut out some of the wiggly Road only like 2 or 3K away now now entering officially entering the high py [Music] the start of day 13 we've been camping outside a refuge so it's been nice to have an inside place to keep dry um we did wash our clothes cuz it was sunny yesterday and now they're all wet because we're in a cloud which isn't that nice but um yesterday um we were did a part of the hrp um so we walked across a few Peaks from the shepherd's hook we woke up quite early and then we were on a quiet Road for some time and we got here quite early then which was quite nice because it's an inside place and it's more of an it's dry so we're happy enough with that anything else no good starting day 13 leaving this lovely refuge and walking straight into a cloud 99% humidity yeah we're trying to warm up our [Music] landscapeing with snow loads of it up at 1,917 M there's a skiing Feast over there totally in the clouds but I think we're going down ho ski route amazing trees here lots and lots of rocks and people saying they are done with rocks for today oh my goodness you're feel small don't you to get out this bleeding to get off beding stop laughing at Myck climbing D wasn't the deal oh my God I could so well we weren't expecting this an easy Traverse poor Patrick had to go back to get my bag cuz I had to leave my bag halfway I mean there's wires all the way so we're not likely to die or at in Bush at the same time except for flying so pretty it's worth taking gloves off with frozen fingers stopping for lunch after like 5 hours stomping through the constant fog and no cloud and no crazy rocks on the side of mountain so we're happy so you can see a town now we're going into um we're going to have to get food there for three or 4 days so which is a bit of a pain this is L entering a lovely little town after solid 8 Hour stomp okay so end of day 13 today was meant to be an easy stage but we no longer believe the book cuz it was like a solid8 hour Stomp and it was it was rough enough as well like it was over the all the rocks and we had to do rock climbing which wasn't the deal five or six hours it was in a cloud as well yeah we were sick of that cloud um now we're camped by a river and we've got food for 3 days is it three four days so we've really heavy packs but we're happy with our food cuz we have vegetables yes we're so happy about that [Music] ready day 14 about to head off breakfast you 600 M up to get over the path easy enough path so into this side all lunch spot today sent us the wrong way to the bear place so now we found our own route stopping for an ice cream and a juice before going around the Bear Park we made it in an animal Rehabilitation Center at the moment and we can see the brown bears that live in France okay so end of day 14 week two um we're camped here beside a river and we're cooking some pasta today was sunny so we loved that it was sunny um Mom and Dad were a bit tired me and usen are mostly fine but everyone enjoyed the day because of the Sun and when we came down the mountain we came across or well we knew it was coming a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center it was very cute there was like two bears and there was like sheep and lamb what is there anything else there's ibeck um squirrels there was squirrels yeah um so but all the animals had L lots of space so all in all I think it was a good day [Music]
