HE NEEDS TO RETIRE!!! Mike McDaniel Gives An Update On Tua Tagovailoa After He Suffered A Concussion

okay man um no intro for this you know what I'm saying um we got a update on Tu Michel mcdel speaks on the moments he shared with Tua after you know I'm saying he suffered his concussion man like this is just crazy bro like this is like what his his third or fourth concussion like the last two seasons like at this point bro it's just time for him to retire you know what I'm saying I understand he loves the game of football but his health is more important it's not like him risking his health you know what I'm saying he could literally die on the field bro if he gets another concussion literally bro at any moment one wrong hit can end his career and end his life bro like this is just not safe at this point he like he could possibly have CTE right now like we don't know that like this let's go and check this out though like enough have post game continues with Mike McDaniel at the podium he's got it Mike have you talked to Tua and what have you observed from his condition um yeah I talked to him uh in the locker room obviously I talked to him on the field um and then talked to him in the locker room before before he headed he was headed home you know he was um in in good spirits what was your immediate thought when you saw him go down and into the the fencing position yeah but like bro as soon as soon as like he he um you know I'm saying he put his fist up and like was doing that with his fingers bro I like I knew it I knew like this was serious bro you know what I'm saying like this like I I don't understand why he didn't slide while he went down with his head knowing the history he has with concussions bro I just don't understand it bro you know what I'm saying like you hate for to to see anything like that bro like it has been so many crazy injuries already at the start of the Season bro we're only in week two like man like you just got to feel for Tua you know what I'm saying to have to keep going through this damn near every season at this point you feel me it's crazy yeah uh my thought was concerned and I was just worried about my guy so um yeah this it's uh yeah not not something that you uh ever want ever want to be a part of you know you you you hope not to Mike obviously is very early in the process with Tua do you foresee a trip to the injured reserve list or do do you have any insight on that you know the uh as right right now um you know I'm not really it it's more about uh you know getting a proper um procedural evaluation tomorrow and taking it one day at a time I the the furthest thing from my mind is you know what what is the timeline you know I want to know um I I we we just need to evaluate and um and you know I'm just worried about my um you know my teammate and uh like like the rest of the guys are but we'll we'll take uh we'll get more information tomorrow and then um take it day by day from there Mike regardless of how he progresses through protocol from here how will what happen in 2022 impact how you and the team handle Tua this time around um I I think it's it's important to to like for me bro I did I think like in reality bro I think he needs to retire you know what I'm saying but um I don't I don't think he is going to retire you know what I'm saying you know how how Tu is bro you know um I think he should at least take a week off like like not play next week you feel me um maybe take a week off and you know what I'm saying to clear his head and and really think about this because this is is just is dangerous at this point man you know what I'm saying um for a player to have this many concussions in the the past two seasons it's just it's just not good bro you know what I'm saying you don't know like how much brain damage he actually has bro cuz like a lot of those reads he made today it's like it's not something Tu would usually make you feel me like I feel like after 2022 it's like when stuff really wasn't seeming right with him with all those concussions especially when he had two concussions in the span of like what six or five days or some like that cuz he got injured Sunday and then he got injured again on Thursday so like I just don't think he's the same player as when he was at Alabama and you know I'm saying his his first couple seasons in the league I just don't you know what I'm saying don't think that he should play again you know what I'm saying um cuz who knows bro the next time he does can get a concussion who knows if it's going to be as serious or you know what I'm saying detrimental as this his other ones were you know I'm saying CU his scariest one was the one against the Bengals you know I'm saying where where his um know I'm saying his fingers fenced up and um but this one was was was right up there with that one as well because he did the exact same thing you feel me like and like as soon as soon as he hit Demar Hamlin you know what I'm saying um his body completely tensed up and his body was stiff and like it it was just a scary sight you know what I'm saying um and like as a NFL fan bro like I know I know I'm not a dolphins fan but like as an NFL fan in general I just I generally feel so bad for him bro you know what I'm saying I know he he makes these boneheaded mistakes and throws all these picks and I know we we joke on him about that but at the end of the day bro he is you know I'm saying human he is a NFL player you know what I'm saying um and then when it when it comes to stuff like this bro you just got to take this serious and not make any jokes bro like this is just is crazy you know what I'm saying who knows if this will be to his last time on the NFL field you know what I'm saying it depend on like what the doctor telling bro cuz if I'm one of his doctors bro I might I might tell him to consider retirement at this point because it's just it's just not worth your health bro you know what I'm saying um it's not worth your health like cuz like I said bro he could he could die at any second on that field if he takes another hit to the Head bro that sh is just just not good each and every situation um to the you know much like approach every injury um with it which is basically all right we're going to handle this particular situation with this particular player um you know every situation is um unique to its own so you know I think I I think there's um you know for me I I'm not worried about um the anything that's out of my hands in terms of I'm just worried about the the human being and you know he'll he'll drive the drive the ship um when we get the approach roate information but it's day byday health is what you know I've you know really uh try to approach all the stuff that way particularly um with concussions like you think it's safe for Tua to play football considering he's had four concussions in I think four or five years so it's four so so it is four yeah I think that's I know I W tripping from a a medical standpoint that's um I I don't approach things that I'm far inferior of expertise uh I I I I'm just there to support um my teammate like I said and you know I I think I think you know there's there's uh it for for me to go ahead and forecast things that I don't know and in my non-field of expertise I don't think that's appropriate um I I think I think we'll we'll find out some more information tomorrow in terms of uh uh where where um to is at he'll he'll you know be able to spend um a good amount of time being evaluated and then we'll have conversations and and progress as as appropriate but um you know I I I I'm like the the rest of his teammates who he he uh he went around the locker room and and connected with um you know trying to keep as a as a leader he's trying to keep the guy's heads up and and uh and he'll he'll be in the office um tomorrow to to be have the appropriate care Mike uh even before that injury there really it wasn't the kind of night you probably expected um could how do you explain what played out there o um you know it it's a it's a tough one that uh you know I think um there there was a lot of uh high expectations and Ambitions for the game uh fully knowing that it was going to be a tough one um I think I think I think that might that might be it about the whole Tua situation man but um yeah bro like this is it's just unfortunate you know what I'm saying um Tua got to learn how to protect themselves like I said bro I don't know why he was you know what I'm saying um going head first um when he when he should have slid you know what I'm saying doing like like because he he has a history concussions but like that that's exactly why I said that bro cuz you know like I don't I don't think he was thinking like in real time you know what I'm saying he just focus on getting his team back in the game and winning the game and like that he's not really thinking about the you know I'm saying the um repercussions of I'm saying him going ahead first like that but now we see prayers are for two and0 bro cuz this this is serious like it's no it's no joke at this point you know he's had way too many concussions especially as young as he is bro dude is like what 26 27 or something like that like he's still very young and for him to have this many concussions this early in his career bro like it's just not good so if I were him bro you know what I'm saying I would take a week off you know what I'm saying and just think about you know I'm saying my life and if I do go out go back out onto the field bro you know what I'm saying you got to you got to protect yourself you know what I'm saying I think he should wear that guardan cap that you know I'm saying that some players are wearing on the field and he's the main one that needs one right now for real but um yeah
