hey what's going on everybody Paul Tully with the FYI podcast today I always say we have a special guest but we have a extra special guest today we have a gold medalist in the house we have an incredible soccer player Marco Fabian Marco the show man how are you thanks for coming on thank you thank you I went to one of the striker games and uh I know the strikers Strikers are a team here in Ontario California uh we play on the Toyota yeah Toyota arena super exciting the difference here is like you have a lot of opportunities to score goals so you have a lot of scores a lot of goals ER is is faster is a really faster you have a lot of chains um small times but it's faster let's talk a little bit about you so you you come come from Mexico originally you played for the Mexican Olympic team correct yes correct of course everybody know is it's a soccer my whole life I born in Mexico I born in guara city until now after 12 years when I we won it's like I can't describe exactly what we feel at this moment no because it really it's is it's like a dream you just us doing because when I was young when I was children I I have my dreams and my I think all the the the boys have a dreams and one is just representing your national team and second thing is the bigger stage is just play Olympic Games and a World Cup and thanks God I doing both I actually I played two World Cups 2014 and 2018 and Brazil and Russia and then I play Olympic Games and like I said before and not just play we won so I know I have a lot of coach my father was my fav first coach and my first teacher and and then coach and then friends and I know the the the best thing is work work for for for work every day just just try and try and try and and and and sometimes you you you get it so it's it's like it's it's like my dream I I do my dream when I was CH yeah and when I arrive in Germany no nobody know me it's like a it's like if I born again I play four years in Germany when I say goodbye is the whole stadium like 16 60 55 60 people they they call my name no just like Marco faan it's like I remember the first day they don't know me and just because of work work work doing well my things and they you you send me goodbye with like every stum just call call my name and just sing my name and and just they they get me at this thankful this is the big the big thing when I get in my in my hair sometimes you want to just just turn the page you know it's like a it's like okay what is the next what is the next what is the you want to looking forward and just and this moment is like okay I of course I want is my best moment but now I want to focus in my surgery I want to focus in my rehabilitation yeah so I started my had my surgery thanks God they was good the doctor doing well and then I start my surgery and just like what imagine I doing it's like after six month I have my relation like do well I am back I played two months very well I score goals and they called me for the national team and I play the my second work 2018 wow and for somebody watching that's watching this learning about you what kind of advice would you give that young person that's maybe playing soccer and has dreams to do what you what you did as well yeah the the advising when I can say I said before is like er is is the the things where you have the dreams when if you had some dream wherever it's not only a sports wherever you're doing is is a you you know is not impossible if you were for for that you get that so is is is my only thing is and just be humble also it's a sport is like H important thing in in in your life in thanksful that is the only thing when I can I can say
