just appear on the table Yeah Nora was a little upset when I came back how how' it go I said oh great you know Trey really did a lot of work in this one she's like what' he bring in what did he make I like well he didn't make anything she's like what been a good idea what the hell he didn't bring you one dish from the book I was like yeah well he's a busy man I should have made a banana pudding and banana milkshake at Chick-fil-A that they just came out with not good I was disappointed I believe everything Chick-fil-A went down to Florida everybody believes in Chick-fil-A I just I bought one for my kid I I kind of forced her to get one cuz I wanted some but I didn't want to buy it was bad what's up Chick-fil-A Chick-fil-A is just good it's just good I didn't even know that was a new item it's yeah that sounds like something they would have had for since their Inception new don't get it does not come recommend it from tasm or his family Shaq wouldn't even like it oh no I guess I he he wouldn't he doesn't like uh foods that are combinations of foods so a banana plus a milkshake no way banana good milkshake good never the twain shall meet nope nope great Point uh okay we're actually talking about the NBA a little bit here today later on we'll hit the beach you guys send in some questions some nbish some not we'll have some fun F there but bunch of extensions I want to throw at you guys now this one the big one happened last week it was the Warriors signing Steph Curry to a one-year extension or 62.6 million which will keep the legend under contract with golden state through the 26 27 season um Steph Curry signs 1-year, $62.6M extension with Warriors were you shocked at all by this news last week the signing of the extension here for Steph Curry and the Warriors I always felt he was going to be a Golden State Warrior for life this just stamps it with approval that's going to happen and then you just look at the years this is going to put him into his 18th year in the NBA and I just started to look at everything I started to watch his old videos where he was asked as a rookie hey what are you going to be in 10 years and he said well I want to be a professional I want to be in the league well he did pretty damn well set the bar low yeah he said that so much so long ago he's now through 15 years he's a 10 time Allstar if you want to get to the 10 and uh he's going to play with one team a superstar playing with one team doesn't happen all that often but there's no way he's being moved he's already talking about potentially owning a team at some point so this is just Steph is going to be a Golden State Warrior for Life period done you believe that I do believe that and I was still a little bit surprised because there was the interview that Steph gave over the summer where he was basically saying I don't want to be an also ran I don't want to be a bottom feeder here the Warriors aren't that right now but they're not a championship favorite right now and they're probably still a few moves away uh you saw you heard the buzz of like I had such a great experience playing with LeBron it'd be great to have those experiences again whether we're teammates or not so I guess he just wants to hang out but with uh you know the changing of the Instagram how excited he was playing through the Olympics uh with LeBron there was at least breadcrumbs uh for other players like if other players were doing this you would have surely been thinking uh oh something is up but then Steph Curry comes through and signs a $62 million extension you need a lot of millions of dollars if you're going to buy a basketball team some so I don't know is this like Steph looking at the end of his career now right because yeah Tak him through 39 years old right cuz signing this extension you know you lock yourself up to the Warriors in theory is he giving up like Leverage here to the front office or is the flip side of it in him signing the extension it's like hey dun Ley and Co that's off your table I'm here for life now try and make the roster better which they've tried to do here obviously in the off season they lose Klay Thompson but buddy hee's here Kyle Anderson here the Anthony Melton obviously they're hoping some of their young guys still sort of level up a two one or two levels um but yeah may I don't know which side you look at it like o did Steph like does he is he just happy to end his career in Golden State and if they're V you know competing for the eighth or ninth seed he's content with that or is this like in a weird way the opposite like hey I'm good now you go do your part at the end of my career because I've obviously proven I'm still an all NBA Talent he's going to stay there and they're going to try and put another player around they tried really hard this summer it's Paul George Lowry Markin anybody and then they go get their DeAnthony Melton and their buddy hee and they Kyle Anderson it's fine it's not great uh but I think he's saying 18 years here till I'm 39 at the very least I guess it just means that LeBron has a chance of leaving I think there's more of a chance of Lebron leaving La than there is of Steph Curry leaving Golden State because that's a worst situation uh in La even though he's got Anthony Davids and he's playing with his damn son uh I don't know I think it's a worse situation than Golden State it's kind of hard to say but I think they have a little bit more of the uh the complimentary players around but I don't know maybe the Steph Draymond thing ends at some point maybe that can't go on forever but I think Steph is just being a little Tim Duncan has being a little Durk right I ain't going anywhere and I I don't think they're trading him but 39 now seems young right maybe he plays does he's gonna be done at 39 yeah tapping out early you're telling me Steph Curry couldn't be a bench guy until he's 45 years old as the best shooter around his contract extension now does line up with draymond's last season with the Warriors should he choose uh to pick up his player option during that for that 2627 season that's one season past Steve Kerr we've been talking about the Last Dance For The Warriors for multiple Seasons here I think 2027 is the last of the last dances yeah and for those curious he was only eligible to sign a one-year extension this offseason due to the NBA's over 38 rule which prevents teams from offering contracts of four years or more to players who are or will be 38 years old during that final uh part of the deal there so that's why it could only be this onee extension but for now he's locked up here for three years with golden state um and we'll see what they can do we'll get into obviously talking about the Warriors and all these teams in the Western Conference and in the NBA and looking at their over unders and trying to figure out uh where they're all land because you know you're right you can sort of talk yourself in with especially with what just saw Steph do in the Olympics there's no doubt that plays a part like damn why couldn't they still be good sort of an elite team in the Western Conference but then they haven't been they lose clay and you're like I don't know maybe they are still fighting for a playing spot right right you can sort of run I don't know you can put them anywhere I feel like sure and they've got some good supporting players that we mentioned those guys to come in for this year the thing that you can take note of is all those guys are off the books after next year so two years of Steph Draymond and Andrew Wiggins under contract but beyond that it's single digits like nobody's making more than 10 million besides those three guy besides Curry Wiggins and green for those two final years of the curry green last dance as you called the try which is what it is slow song yeah lights lights are on I think play another one Play Eddie Money they're waiting for the Uber I think for sure all right other extension news uh TJ McConnell signed a 4-year $45 million extension with the Indiana Pacers over the last couple days uh TK uh how do you feel about this deal T.J. McConnell signs 4-year, $45M extension with Pacers for TJ and good value deal here for the Pacers what do you think well I think this is awesome for TJ McCollum TJ McCollum TJ McConnell guy went from being a process sixer undrafted lost 30 of his first 31 games in the NBA he played on the 15 16 Sixers and they were 10 and 72 terrible team he's locked in to make $85 million in his career as a backup point guard for basically the entire time that's amazing yeah I like the deal for the Pacers as well I mean who who knows if TJ McConnell is worth $10 million when he's a 37 year old but he's a good culture guy and I kind of feel the same way with all the Pacers deals they've made this season like pretty good but then you throw them all together and you're like okay you got the same team for the next three seasons will it get better than it did last year when everything broke perfectly they made the Conference Finals they won a game seven in Madison Square Garden like they won important games they seize the opportunity but they're not going to have cap space Miles Turner as a free agent next off seon probably one of the biggest names out there depending on who does player options and not Ben mathan's going to be extension eligible it's kind of hard to see this team getting a lot better it's going to be some of their young guys none of whom are all that great so far getting better that's the pathway to improving but I don't know it's the Pacers they like to make the playoffs they're not going to spend a ton of money they don't want to be the worst team in the league so they're going to probably be in the middle in the Eastern Conference yeah they really do believe in that guard run that they send out there because as you said Ben Maan can be signed um and T.J McConnell is your backup you've got Halburn you've got nard who you signed I think they're running the same team essentially out there as you said with hopes that nard will be better uh I mean specifically Ben Maan will be better and then jerus Walker will turn into a player because he was drafted last year so yeah it's the running the same guys low minutes really cuz they think they have enough depth and they're just going to run it down your throat so you've got a guy in TJ McConnell here who can play under 20 minutes again for every single season it's an incredible season for this guy because leading up to the trade deadline I thought he's gone because those guys that I mentioned in nart halberton matth those guys are ahead of him in the guard rotation and they still are but he ended up being awesome and I didn't think he was on the timeline but I suppose he is he's 32 going to be playing till he's 36 or 37 and all those guys I mentioned with halberton and sakam at the top that's who they are um and they're a rick Carla team that's going to play very fast and try and just outscore teams and hope those the younger guys in matth and jerus Walker are a little bit better I don't know if they resign Miles Turner I mean he was important um after next year but yeah it seems like they're paying they're paying Halbert and seak a ton of money 90 million bucks in 25 and 26 and then it goes up and up and up and up that's third guy I guess that's still available as an option um but it could be Ben how do they get him is the question yeah not as a free agent yeah I think it's more likely they're hoping one of their guys is their their third Superstar one of these younger guys turns it in but then they're paying all guards that's the thing right like starting next uh not this coming season but the next season between halberton n hard and McConnell they're going to be paying $75 million to their point guards specifically they traded for Pascal cakam signed him to a four-year deal he accelerates their timeline since he's already in his 30s he's on a huge deal they're going to have to pay ma if they want to keep him around they're going to be capped out so they're going to have to pay Miles Turner unless somebody else offers him a better deal he's been trying to get out of Indiana for a decade it feels like so I don't know um think they need a lot of and that's why like now I look back I'm like why' they do the OB toin deal doesn't make any sense you're right for them to take this a next step forward jarus Walker has to turn into something he was a top 10 pick he I think he was number eight barely played last year now he's got Obi toppen ahead of him for the next four years making 18 to2 million where's the opportunity then for jarus Walker it just seems like they're signing their guys they're keeping them around because they don't have a better plan available right now yeah they are going small that's for sure who knows who plays center for them long term I guess it has to be Miles Turner because once you start thinking about it where's their def J Smith's gone they don't have a backup center M mhm yeah they they might lean into playing small or quick or whatever you want to call it especially with Turner being obviously a stretch 52 is their guy who didn't get minutes the good thing for them is uh you know even Halbert if you look at him what two years ago he played like under 60 games last year I think it was closer to 70 so it was a pretty healthy season until obviously we got into the playoffs at times where he was banged up a little bit but you have depth and look it's a long season and guys go down we saw it with just benedi mathan himself and and they can just sort of keep slotting guys in now do you run up to a certain like wall in the playoffs even though they went very far this year and maybe it broke their way um but I think a big part of it is the organization it's Indiana it's you know obviously not a huge place in terms of alluring free agents too you have to sort of do it this way you got to sign your guys to keep them and they have a good team this is a good team um are they a championship contending team are they going to win a game against the Celtics if they were to match up in a playoff series again uh maybe maybe not I don't know they're not there they're not on that level for sure Nicks got better Sixers got better people have to assume that the Bucks are going to be more cohesive at the very least than they were like last year this feels like a playoff team to me that's good for the Pacers but you know a lot of times people tell you they don't want to be caught in the middle I kind of disagree with that like it's fine to win games it's good to have a good team uh but I don't know I think that they are just a playoff team uh and if they get the right matchups they can beat the right uh they can beat certain teams uh final extension news here uh IIT zubats signed a three-year about $59 million extension with the Clippers the other day uh Ivica Zubac signs 3-year, $58.6M extension with Clippers Lawrence Frank said zoo is a rock for the Clippers organization quote he's an elite rim protector screen Setter and finisher who has made strides every season we don't take for granted that we can just pencil in our starting center and our defensive anchor every night every year so zubats uh signed up here for a couple more years under the clips Tass your reaction to this one yeah around $20 million seems like the Benchmark for every Center in the NBA that's how much you get paid if you're a starting center V makes $20 million exactly Jared Allen makes $20 million exactly for the next two years Miles Turner just under 20,000 $70,000 under 20 million excuse me yeah then you got AES Turner's making under 20,000 his agent sucks he's like a substitute teacher uh yeah there's a ton of guys that are around the $20 million Mark yakob purle very close Yousef nerkish really close capella Brook Lopez Claxton a little bit more than 20 mil but that's your benchmark and that's zubot he's job you lump his skill set and what he brings to the table with a lot of those guys it sounds like yeah there's there's topheavy guys that make a lot more than $20 million like yic and embiid and then there's the bottom guys like um Miles Turner who makes $20,000 that's it Daniel Ty Daniel T $2.8 million 2.8 million is a great deal for Daniel Ty to start the New Orleans Pelicans season it's a great deal he's going to be starting um but zubot fits the bill with a bunch of these guys as that middle the median centers in this leag he's he's good at that yes I don't know my perogies from my Kil basas marching gortak could tell you that if it's a zubot he's marching Gortat that's what that's my takeway after doing the Shaq cookbook he's a pretty good gatekeeper Center you listed all these guys who are $20 million a year centers some of them you would rather have than zbots some of them you would not rather have than zubot like ni vich uh but he's reliable he's going to get you 10 and 10 every night he's going to shoot 65% from the field if it's the right matchup he can stay on the court in the playoffs if it's not he's going to be sitting down because the Clippers are a team that goes five out all the time good chemistry with Harden I think he's a fair player just a nice guy he's probably like number 15 starting center yeah I think he's really well-liked it feels like in the lock room in the organization or wherever he's been um he's only been in LA right he's only played for the Lakers and Clippers yeah he like I'm not leaving La I building this year I was sort of surprised when I was looking at I was like he played really well in that six game first round loss to the Mavericks um average 16 and 10 shot 60% from the floor sort of exactly what you said TK but that's that's good it's not great but he's not hurting you obviously is a a decent defensive Center too so yeah they lock him up here you know they've had a weird offseason I think they're a team people are struggling to figure out the Clippers obviously Paul George leaves so you're immediately like okay they're going to be worse but then they brought in you know some someon n Chris dun a mo bomba what how much do he make not a lot okay um but yeah and they did their draft thing it's really a team that's got wings now that aren't named Paul George but can play defense um so it's it's an interesting team interesting team yeah I got I mean I got more faith in to talk about interesting to talk about you mean yeah not a watchable team for me well they do have Kawhi Leonard you don't like watching Kawhi Leonard is he going to play sure that's always the question he play games last year I never say I want to watch the Clippers cuz kawai's going to play tonight why not because you don't know if he's going to play tonight well he did play 68 games last year how he do in the playoffs well he played 68 games in the regular season I didn't say watch going to play that many this year because he wasn't ready for the playoffs so they should have him play 50 games so 32 of them he ain't going to be out there you're going to be watching Hardin and zubot pick and rolls it works nice they worked on it after practice he's going to be mad that they sent him home from the Olympics when he could have been on the team and sat on the bench probably you're calling for a Revenge season from Kawai here well I do find it interesting when he was asked about Paul George leaving he said doesn't change anything for me Lally what a what a shocking answer from Ka letter well he literally said I'm the number one guy essentially and not a number two guy I mean he did instead of him saying don't you think he should have said hey that guy's is leaving uh that sucks he's my my friend no matter what you said to quet he be like oh okay whatever hey man your dog just died that sucks okay hey man you just won a100 million Powerball okay that doesn't suck like he said something once he said a few things I've got his back as a as a a somewhat interesting player and man he's an awesome I love to watch Kawai when he is on yeah the court but when he's on and when he's on the court I do love to watch he's going to have a good year that's one thing zubot does bring you he's pretty he plays he does play yeah right for the clips for sure and then I just want to slip this in here uh just CU it's your Chicago Bulls uh free agent guard tail and Horton Tucker AKA Ahmad Rashad uh has agreed to a partially guaranteed deal with your Bulls yeah the Untouchable Tor Horton Tucker that's right tht baby to LeBron James's Throne once upon a time I saw the Bulls are going into a training camp with five Chicagoland players on the roster it's like IO Javon Carter buellis uh tht and then another guy who probably won't make the team it's just like the Raptors they're like oh you're from Canada you can come play on the Raptors oh you're from Chicago you're getting a try out with the bulls tht man how long has this guy been in the league has he been in the league since a mod he's super young still and he's one of the oldest looking guys out I think he's 23 young man 23 years old he looks very old he looks definitely older than 23 but he can't shoot so he fits in with Chicago yeah is this a is this a sag for flag type of type of move here I not even convinced he'll make the roster yeah okay it is a partial G it's like MC Mong also with the Orlando Magic going to get a chance here the Warriors are doing it with a couple guys uh I think Berton is going to get a try out or something is he I they're like yeah man you can work out here and we'll decide if we're you I can't tell what these reports from crazy times right now it is it is all right let's get off the extension talk let's uh unfortunately talk about young Memphis Grizzlies forward gii Jackson II he is expected to miss three months after undergoing successful surgery to repair a broken foot the team announced this on Grizzlies' GG Jackson II to miss at least 3 months after undergoing foot surgery Wednesday he suffered this injury while playing basketball in Dallas he broke the fifth metatarsal in his foot is that the bone that's like connecting the pinky to the ankle that what's going going on there is that the metatarsal I think it's um like the in like the InStep of your foot in between the ball and the heel okay okay well it's a broken foot we know that interesting it's pinky toe though right yes yes he's expected to make a full recovery um but how does this injury at if at all shift the outlook for the Grizzlies in your opinion well I think it sucks I think it really sucks for Memphis for two reasons first of all GG Jackson was like the best story for the Grizzlies last year getting him in the the second round looking like a player at the very least a rotation guy for Memphis maybe he could have started he would have fit in nice with ja Bane and then the big guys in Jackson and I'm guessing Edie like there's a spot there on the wing that the Grizzlies have been looking for I guess Marcus smartt is coming back to who knows what they're going to do at the very least he would have been getting minutes and looked like a player with a lot of room to grow he's only still 19 years old had a great year last year big strong dude but now he's not going to be playing till at least like Christmas time could be longer since it's a re-evaluation sort of deal after the 3 months or whatever it is so they're starting off on a bad literal on a bad foot right here after two straight lost Seasons we had 2223 was the jaw suspension season didn't go well uh in the playoffs for them either and then obviously everybody on Memphis got hurt last season we haven't seen a full strength Grizzlies team in basically two years and I was thinking they were going to be pretty good this year I mean if they lose their sixth or seventh man they can get over that Vince Williams was another solid player uh for the Grizz last year who I think will probably get more minutes now that GG Jackson is out but for a team that was banged up with injuries for the entirety of last season to lose like a little shred of Hope right when the season's getting going super disappointing yeah obviously you look at it and you say well this could be like last year where they had 33 guys play basketball for them that's a lot of guys however a lot of those guys are coming back and they want to play basketball again Brandon Clark is coming back he's going to play a lot of the four santiel damage you see in the Olympics he was awesome uh if Zack he plays the five JJ Jackson can be moveed jiren Jackson can be smooth down JJ Jackson you confused me whens J there's a lot of Jays there JG Jackson and jiren Jackson Jr wow I mean he can play the four that's a where GG played a lot of his minutes last year so there's a lot of guys and it is yeah it's a it's a bad look when you look at it right now but all these other guys are healthy and so that bodess well for this team this team is deep and I think they are going point you have a good season cuz of two straight bad years they got something to prove here yeah it's just unfortunate like TK said he averaged like 14 and four shot well too and that was like the big worry with him like ah can this guy shoot at all I mean he's a young kid shot 36% from Deep that's not bad 43% from the field like you were going to hope that was going to tick up he was really good at Las Vegas summer league too it looked you know it looked like one of those guys like oh okay he might maybe he's even too good for here um so that sucks but yeah is it Vince Williams is it smart what they do there Jake laravia is also guy that might you know get a little more opportunity to shine and and has played well at times so just a bummer that they're coming in here already with the young kid uh who was like their gem in the second round yeah he won like 45th or 46th something that and he's going to miss couple months couple months with that broken foot but he did it playing basketball better than doing something you know something really stupid or something you're like oh no why were you skateboarding just playing hoops man skate they have Clauses in their contracts to prevent them from doing that yeah he's I can't believe he's 19 years old I still I still can't even he the youngest player in the league last last year yeah and but he looked like a vet when he TNT had him on and Shaq was talking to him he looked like he was 30 I mean he just he acts like he's been there for a while and this Grizzly's team is they got something to prove obviously this year so he'll be back this kid will be back he's 19 so he means he heals really fast true true true all right let's hit the obviously uh JJ reck is now coaching the Lakers so he is gone uh the four names are Jay Bas Grant Hill Richard Jefferson and Tim legler uh top four candidates for the job with the caveat that ESPN could opt for a booth of just Breen and Burke so they could just go twers Booth but maybe they'll go three I'm team legs writes this person uh but if you were in charge you're a legs person you're a legs man I'm team legs writes my dad watching Mary Hart on entertainment tonight but if you were in charge who would you pick cheers that's from tritto so tritto wants to know uh who are you picking of those four who wants to start this off I know we talked about this in the past a little bit um but who you going with do you see Mary Hart's legs on Entertainment Tonight she did did she have think had like a long shot you know like when they come in on the jib you could see like from a from a from a distance you would see those legs she standing or was it a desk a desk the visible desk huh I'd love those for men and women I want to see some shoes you want to see some shoes want don't cover us um who was it that came up at our live show where the heck were we were we in Salt Lake City a woman came up a fan of no dunks came up and had a question about like hey who's legs are better Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood Carrie Underwood yeah she asked all four of us didn't she at separate times canvas the crowd yeah yeah I think it was a a discussion she always had with her husband she was saying and she was team Carrie Underwood I remember I think that's right and I think I I apparently answered incorrectly I was I was like I don't know who you idiot she was really upset lost the fan that day so she would be team legs I for her name um under the desk but who you picking listen I do think Troy Zito is right in that ESPN will go with Tim legler I I think he is a bit of a replica of what they had with J.J reic he is good he's analytical he knows his stuff that being said I want jokes I miss the jokes I miss Jeff Van Gundy prior to JJ reck being in the NBA Finals I listen they they're great but I do like the Jefferson beside Doris Burke who's incredible herself let Doris go to commercials she sees the Highlight she can do she can do whatever she wants she's she's great at she can do the the the court tracking like JJ reck was talking about there's lots of analytics there I need jokes Richard Jefferson will come on and he's obviously a former player but I think they need to go younger and that's why they went JJ reck so I'm I am uh Team Jefferson but obviously legler is great too so I'm okay with both but I think the jokes have been missed that's what we said for every single reic broadcast I would think it just wasn't they weren't too too dry little too dry the jokes weren't there who you going with between team Jeff and team legs as well and I honestly think try them both like see what the chemistry is like with Doris Burke and Mike Breen decide further on into the season cuz I'm with you it's like you can go Richard Jefferson and you're getting the jokes you're maybe not necessarily getting the same insights you would get from Tim legler whereas Tim legler you're getting the insights are you getting the jokes who knows let's see which one works better put them both together I think Tim legler could become the new Zar of the telestrator however Mike forella was funny he was funny alongside being able to do his scribbles and stuff so I think there's that deep in Tim lear's bag but I'd like to see it uh you know because I I do think we got a little to um both JJ and Doris were just lowkey and I feel like legler kind of has the same lowkey to sort of energy whereas RJ can you know go up and down with sort of stuff yeah I'm I'm team RJ for the record but uh a good point about thear and he was funny with the telestrator but that also worked because him and Marv had undeniable chemistry and Marv is a he different than outside of the Larry O'Brien I don't think we necessarily need that uh or you could rename the Eastern Conference Finals MVP which is currently the Bob Koozie award I think no I thought it was Larry
