it is um you know it's such a special moment to to represent a country um that's you know gives us such an amazing style of [Music] Life the piece of advice I'd give my younger self was probably make the most of the opportunities even though they may seem like hard work or the hardest path because we need to feel a little bit uncomfortable um and being uncomfortable how helps us grow and get more familiar and to be better and learn and to cope with those environments so um it's a very sort of broad generic uh broad answer but at the same time it's just making the most of every opportunity regardless if it's hard or not there's a number of athletes out there but you know there's there's heaps of people within my own life internally um my wife's been really important to support me along that journey and my family that's always been there by my side and my friends and and and family around the world and uh but also my teammates here and you know pushing me along and driving me and uh making me you know be better every day yeah I think you know any any teammate is coming into the fry is always going to push people to go better and Beyond themselves but I think bringing people into the sport and having more of a a team a bigger team as well is really nice because you can see the sport sort of evolving and developing and and hopefully we'll have a number of athletes being able to come to the the Brisbane 2032 yeah it's such an interesting time because you know the the athlete that could be on the start line in Brisbane in in 9 years time um could be like 10 years old right now or 9 years old or whatever even younger for some other sports and just to think that a 9-year-old is out there somewhere that could be Olympic champion par Olympic champion and having this little idea or dream to be to be a part of it um is really amazing but for myself you know I'm I'm hopefully I can bring people into our sport peddling and and get people out on the water and enjoy it as much as I do but also you know to bring people into the amazing environment of the par Olympics and Olympic Games is is is something that's really special having the opportunity to stand on top of the podium and hear the national anthem is is very special but you know you you don't really know what's going to happen until you start pulling on the pedal so yeah it's a it's an interesting Sort of hope that you you trying to get on top of that Podium and hear your national anthem but at the same time you know just go there and try and do your [Music] best
