Arizona football coach Brent Brennan talks to 13 News

I'm Jack Cooper here at the University of Arizona joined by head football coach Brent Brennan thanks so much for joining us today this is your first uh official game week as a head coach of the football team what your nerves like right now how you feeling oh I feel great you know I think uh one of the reasons you do it is because you love it and uh you know nerves is just excitement turned upside down man so this team's ready to play we're excited we're looking forward to it we're going to have a great crowd here on Saturday we can't wait what's it been like since uh you were hired a couple months ago uh coming you're getting a lot of the team to actually uh stay here I guess what's that been like and uh again ready to get started well I you know I've said it multiple times but I think these players chose to stay because they love the University of Arizona they love Tucson and they love each other and I think didn't have anything to do with me it had everything to do with them which is a great foundation for our team they're committed and connected and they want to be here and play for the Wildcats so let's go awesome and then the first year in the Big 12 uh really any uh maybe any games you're looking forward to anything that's uh I mean you're not new to the University of Arizona you've been here before but really anything you're looking forward to excited about I'm looking forward to this game and I think that's where we're going to operate as a football program we're going to worry about one game at a time and that's it and all we're worried about right now is getting ready for New Mexico awesome well thank you so much for joining me uh today for now reporting at the University of Arizona I'm Jack Cooper back to you
