here are the top metrics that you really should be tracking if you want your mortgage business to grow so first one the easiest one is New Leads but I like to compare this with new leads this month versus the same month last year so August this year versus August last year cuz there's a lot of seasonality to it second I like to compare mortgage volume of course that's really important but comparing that both to what you were doing at this time last year cuz again there's seasonality with that but also comparing it to your Target and Are You On Target or not because targets are super important to achieve that growth finally look at your conversion rate but break it down by referral source so see okay if I get a lead from online or from a realtor or whever it is how well do each of these different sources convert if you're just starting out with these types of metrics start in Excel start with something simple it doesn't have to be complicated and very quickly you're going to be motivated to automate this process and that's where a tool like a CRM it's great way to do this so you can always have your finger on the pulse and make sure you're on the right path to growth
