look as I've said repeatedly Laura these celebrity endorsements mean very little but it's curious that from Elton John to the Rock there seems to be this new spirit of Civility toward Donald Trump how did it feel when he took the lyrics to Rocket Man and he used it as a nickname for Kim Jong-un I laugh I thought it was brilliant I just thought good on you Donald I'm the rocket man yeah um I'm Donald's always been a fan of mine and he's been to my concerts many many times um so I mean I've always been friendly towards him and I I thank him for his support you love down don't down it doesn't matter to assassinate there's no room for that I still believe in Mye that is not who we are as a country so standing up in that moment wanted to see that look Laura uh performers innately read the audience they anticipate what that audience wants or where they're headed this seems to me a recalibration for some of these huge celebrities preparing I think for what might be another Trump presidency the pop culture always precedes politics yeah
