howdy howdy the Northern Illinois Huskies made the trip to Southbend Indiana today for their week two match up to face off against the fifth ranked team in the country despite being major underdogs though NIU is hoping for some reverse psychology where they have the Luck of the Irish on their side of the ball taking a peek at the packed house at Notre Dame Stadium where the Irish fans are ready for their top ranked team to play some football and on Notre Dame's opening drive of the game Riley Leonard keeps it for himself and he dives into the end zone for the touchdown to cap off the irish's six-minute drive now the huskys on their first drive Ethan Hampton with pressure coming in his face releases this dime to antario Brown and he threads the needle Brown is Off to the Races he might go all the way he scores for the 83 yd touchdown to tie things up early and now you again drives down the field Canon Woodhill knocks down the 42 y huskies are up 10 to7 who would have thought beginning of the second now Husky's looking to run it up even more and antario brown ends up just short on the third down but no no problem here Woodhill knocks down the other field goal and the Huskies are up six and these Notre Dame fans are sweaty but no worries Jeremiah Love Finds per with this huge hole on the 34 yd touchdown and the Irish are back in front but the Huskies have a phenomenal Drive late down one point with 36 seconds to go and Canon Wood Hill is automatic to give the Huskies the win 16 to 14 for niu's first ever top 10 win you know I'm so proud of our kids the coach just just everybody they believed they they believed and we came here and got it done they they listened to what I said I told them all week we don't need luck we just got to be our best and they was their best today and and we was able to get it done
