UPDATE: Officials can't confirm whether threat at Chatt State is hoax or real

we continue to monitor breaking news from chat State's campus students and staff remain on lockdown on campus around 10:00 this morning everyone on campus was ordered to shelter in place and lock their doors this is the text message students received on their phones our Grayson Gordon was at a news conference and has the latest on what is happening Grayson Michelle Emergency Management does say it is a little bit too early right now to determined if this was just a hoax call or if this is a credible call but there's been a lot of information cycling on social media police say they' have not heard gunshots found a suspect or even found any hostages as well around 9:45 this morning police say they received a call of a threat and then just 7 minutes later the college C attacks putting the School on lockdown police say several agencies were already on campus when the call came in and that they're going through every building to ensure the safety of everyone while rumors of hostages circulated on social media chanoa police say that none of them were bound we have seen um or heard no gunfire we' have encountered no uh suspect physically or victims two people were treated for anxiety but there are no other reported injuries right now students cannot come to campus or leave campus the FBI is on the scene assisting and the threat will be treated as real until they can prove that there isn't a threat and we do anticipate having another update from Emergency Management in just the next few minutes if we have more information we'll make sure to bring it to you printing live here in Hamilton County res Gordon local three dips
