Studying the Trinity and the church fathers with Brandon Smith 

kind of came together for me in grad school were the doctrine of the Trinity theological interpretation and the church fathers and you know the one the reasons I like to read the church fathers is they were kind of doing ancient theological interpretation you know they wouldn't have made distinctions between the disciplines like us but that's basically what they were doing and I just um I almost did a PhD on BART and that was uh that was you know a totally different thing that's actually the uh you I emailed that when we first started talking about it emailed that to you and you basically said I'm not your guy if that's what you want to talk about that face you made was you made that in the email um so I uh yeah so I was trying to figure out exactly what that was going to look like and I read Wesley Hills Paul and The Trinity and that and I was reading like Daniel trier's introduction to theological interpretation um I was reading some bre Childs and it just kind of all came together and I thought you know I think I can do something here where I'm bringing together these two worlds of theological interpretation and the advancement of theological hermeneutics and the church fathers and then it was just a matter of the trinity in what
