don't if you can see him in the rundown there we got Steelers Broncos lowc scoring Affair that's the only way the Steelers play this 2024 season no evidence to prove that wrong to the contrary yet 13-6 they get the win over the Broncos your headline for this game is steel fence okay okay oh defense defense Ste Steeler steel fense it okay that's what I'm going with right there that's what popped into my head but it just seemed like the ultimate Steelers matchup anyways you're going wait we're going to Denver to play a offense that's not very scary it's a rookie quarterback who's certainly seeing uncomfortable last week you're telling me they're going to play a team that's going to be ugly and it's going to be about physicality and can they win the game I mean it was made for the Steelers it really was and I'll say too I like the way Justin Fields looks I know it wasn't like beautiful and again I don't know if their pass game's ever going to be beautiful but I didn't he didn't miss throws he made a few nice throws within the football game they are showing the ability to be able to run the ball and push some people off the line of scrimmage and their defense is showing that it's one of the best in football it's a pain in the ass it really is and especially when you couple that with yeah rookie quarterback where they're probably scared to kind of unlock the Vault on all of Shawn Payton's tricks to this point and then you add on top of that who is there to be really scared of in their offense and it's kind of that's where the Broncos are at right now they're in a tough spot yeah they got a lot of issues right now we'll get to them in a second but yeah Justin Fields now is w six of his last eight starts not that wins are a quarterback stat but he's now two and 0 with with Pittsburgh in this one TJ watt another big day had a sack another couple tackles for for a loss but we do have plug andplay 16 says hey Chris anamed and crew looks like another long year as a Broncos fan I'm generally wondering if the Shawn Payton offense is outdated in 2024 Saints Go from Carmichael Payton o to kubak Shanahan o and look like a completely different team I I hear what you're saying there I I don't think it's a plug andplay 16 I don't think you're a that's a crazy thought this is something I've definitely thought about as well Shawn Peyton has never been necessarily the guy I was always like it wasn't like Shanahan or maybe Mike McDaniel I was always like oh my gosh the formations the movement some of these plays what is it they're doing I don't even know how they like it's never been that right I don't want to say that now he you know from time to find time to time finds a wrinkle you go oh my gosh that was a cool play right but generally speaking it is more about systematical execution right and I mean that with executing in their own offense and slowly executing the defense into death yeah when they're rolling Drew Brees is like a robot exactly right and that's where I don't think he's got anybody yet to be able to say wait my offense is in full flow here right so it's not about Shawn Peyton the wow plays maybe like sometimes it is with Ben Johnson where I go oh that was cool that was cool they packaged that and called it together Peyton's more genius is I have a ton of plays and I'm going to wire my quarterback to get to the right one or whatever no matter what the defense is and even though the play might not be oh wow this is amazing it works against this coverage and we're going to slowly like you said Brew Brees just work our way down the field with the right play and precise execution and do it that way they of course don't have that quarterback right now but then on top of that what I think makes it double ugly is an offens of line that just can't say hey we're going to run you over right with no big time running back and then no guy on the outside that goes a defense goes oh you know hey it's third down we got to double this guy or oh we got to be careful about playing manto man this guy will run by us and B Nicks will throw a touchdown so they got a few things they're fighting there on that side of the ball right but I'm not ready to say quite what you're saying at plug andplay 16 do I think he's as totally as creative as maybe some of the other great OC's in football no I don't but I still don't think he's got the team in a spot where he can show his true genius and all the things he can do on the offensive side still a bright enough mind to figure it out and a rookie quarterback who's just learning things as we go here yeah it's tough and he's got a like if you're bow Knicks ding ding ding you get to play Seattle and Mike McDonald in Seattle and then you get to come home and play the Pittsburgh shielders like there couldn't be two worse defenses to start your NFL career against with the schemes and then of course being in Seattle as a tough place to play as you know I believe my Detroit Lions have the Arizona Cardinals next week uh and the Cardinals looked amazing they beat the Rams 41 to10 your headline for this one is Mr Perfect oh with a yawn yeah he was like that was no big deal is that what he is that what that tweet meant from him a little yawn no no big deal so Kyler Murray is the first Cardinals quarterback with a perfect quarterback rating since Kurt Warner in 2008 it's 158.3 that's a perfect rating yeah but but here's the crazy he was 17 of 21 so if he's 18 of 21 it's like there should he's better than perfect at that point there four incomplete passes that's not perfect I mean it was awesome to watch was an ass whooping today the Rams you got to be concerned about their defense and the health of their football team they're beat up excuse me I'm burping yeah you're like the Rams right now all messed up burping under the pressure but yeah their their offense is beat up offensive line beat up Cooper cup gets hurt today no puka naua so not only are they going into this game where we had question is about their defense I think in week one and week two and it was better week one than I expected to be don't get me wrong but you go into the game yeah a little worried about that and then you go oh wow man they got injuries everywhere on their football team this is this is scary and Arizona is creative and Arizona did a lot of good things in week one and the things we worried about like in week one with the Rams against Detroit about getting overpowered it it didn't happen till late in the football game but man Arizona ran it down there throats But ultimately it all started with Kyler early on just making incredible plays like incredible can we show the dots of the 18 yard touchdown to Elijah Higgins which was later in the game it was after he'd already made some incredible point was it was at this point where you just went oh my gosh he's on fire right and he can't be stopped today he runs around like a chicken with his head cut off for eight and a half seconds and then finds Elijah Higgins in the back of the end zone I don't care who you are if your whole secondary had on Sanders in it you got s De on Sanders not even he could cover that long so that was an issue but the DME me threw the Marvin Harrison Jr to start the game the first touchdown right which I'm not even sure was still a touchdown it looked like Marvin Harrison Jr dropped the ball and then oh man and then um the little scramble running to his right finds Marvin Harrison Jr wide open down the right sideline for the touchdown that was encouraging I like the way the Cardinal Play I Like the Way their offense is and again I think they're a little physical up front they got creative ways and plays they run the football and their pass game is creative too and Harrison I think is going to be good Trey McBride is really one of the better pass catching tight ends in football if they can get one other guy to kind of come out of nowhere and be a main stay for their offense I think they're going to be a real real problem for some teams here Arizona's most points in two seasons under Jonathan genon right now um yeah a whole lot of good a whole lot of bad for the Rams you mentioned the injuries Cooper cup leaving in the second quarter with an ankle injury of course wor about the r here a little I worry I Do Matthew Stafford can only do so much he can only do so much they haven't got the Run game going and know like I've been saying all year and leading up to the season I do worry about their defense I do I don't know if there's
