Sauron has many powers. One of his sort of primary powers is the ability to change forms. Sauron is the ultimate predator. And what we're actually trying to do in season two, is get deeper in his mind and wanted to start from a place where you're understanding what's motivating Sauron. And we have a different actor playing Sauron in the first scene of the show. This is a flashback about a thousand years before the first season after Morgoth has been defeated. A new age begins under me your new master, Sauron. Now who is this man? He is no man. The Annatar form that we see this season - it's all for Celebrimbor, because he needs Celebrimbor and his understanding and his methodology and his craftsmanship to make these rings. He'll stop at nothing to rule Middle-earth. What am I to call you? I am a sharer of gifts. Season two he's much more out in the open. Audiences know who he is, even if not all the characters do. And no matter who he has to betray, kill, everyone else is just standing in the way. It's a great character. [LAUGHTER] Charlie's done and is doing a magnificent job. He gets to be different people. Sauron is the embodiment of evil. When left unchecked it can be slippery. It can creep up on you. There's always something in really bad people that people love. They’re seductive in all kinds of ways.
