do you feel like you'll be ready next week hope so I mean that's the goal I love this game um but just you know taking things day by day and then you know if it happens it happens if it don't it don't what has this period been like for you having to sit out and kind of be behind the curve a little bit it's been rough definitely rough um I love this game but you know it's minor little things little injuries and stuff like that so I just know once I you know get past this little hump it's it's go time so I just got to know just do the right things you know take care my body as much as possible do the little uh learning you know the uh get some stuff from the older guys know how they treat their body and stuff like that so just just learning learning and I've learned in the last 3 weeks just from different ways to treat my body you know um just put more into it so I'm I'm I'm excited about it what have you learned what are those lessons that maybe have to tweet to do differently honestly just um routine so routine is a lot different in college I try to take my college routine into the NFL routine and it's totally different timing is different um um we got more time we could do we free you know pretty much like much earlier so it's just a lot into it but um just you know talking to a lot of the older guys and just you know following their footsteps feel really good body feel really good um just taking things day by day can you explain how how the routine affects your body how that carries over body routine is everything um no matter what you do you know you need to have routine um it's only going to make you better more prepared in every way so I feel like that's um the biggest thing have you had a chance to talk to AJ yet yeah that's my guy I I talk to AJ almost well talk to AJ many times a day when the same running back group um super um you know you know sad of everything that happened but you know he's going to he's a great person he's going to you know help us as much as possible sorry if you already got this but what's it been like getting to work with Emanuel just kind of you know the two sort of the backups now to to Josh yeah definitely um it's been great you know Emanuel he's he's a great player really really good player um lot well slept on so it's super excited to see him go out there and be able to show what he can do obviously you know the AJ news is heartbroken but when you see that now you know okay once you come back from injury you have an opportunity to be a backup running back in the NFL right away behind Josh Jacobs just how excited does that get you um I mean I knew I was going to play you know somewhere somehow um not really focus on you know being the second back or being you know anything I just want to do whatever I can to help this team as much as possible um I think that's the biggest thing for me what has the experience in Green Bay to this point been great I love Green Bay Green is a great place where you can focus on just football um you know a lot of these other places there's a lot of things going on um that you can get you know messed up into so I feel like Green Bay is just football you can focus on yourself you focus on your the team and I feel like that's the biggest thing what's like uh learning under Josh what has he you know mentored you with a lot um really I mean I talk to him a lot just picking his brain he's been in the league for I think this is six year six or seventh year well he's been here for some time and um he's a he's still a young back so just ask some certain things you know how you how you do this you know what you do this um he's helped me a lot throughout this hamstring process of what I need to do and um it's been you know helping a lot you know he he's a great player to you know mimic I he's had some some good really good years in his league so I'm excited I'm excited to work with them and it's only going to you know get me better having a guy like that you've went through a significant injury before this isn't as significant what do you do to keep yourself mentally prepared this is nothing this is nothing at all I I uh Happ my first year College my ACL so that was the biggest thing you know it definitely motived me to be you know just what's next what's next mentality you know you're going to have adversity and just how you come back from it so that definitely helped me you know just the ACL process but now I'm older I'm older hamstring is nothing so hamstring is nothing um season hasn't even started yet so you know that's the the biggest thing for me as long as it's not in the season I'm fine with it where do you feel like you're at progress wise with hamstring is getting better each day you know um we'll see um come was it two weeks um if I'm able to play or not but we'll just it's just day by day definitely stronger a lot better and now it's just no and when it's time all gas no breaks AR you said that there were minor injuries and they are but you can't make up for the loss time you missed them in terms of reps so how what do you do now to kind of make up as much as you can when there's not that many for me it's not really making up um I know the Playbook you know I I put myself in the positions that the other Ragnar backs are doing when they're in the play I'll make sure I'm behind them make making sure I'm looking at my certain reads knowing everything I'm staying in it as much as um mentally um I know physically um I'm in NFL so I need to know what I can do I mean that's the reason why I'm here on this team I'm just being able to be the way I could the things I can do physically so just mentally mentally just taking mental reps you know being in the game staying in it I feel that's the the biggest thing right now and you you were able to do that during the games too right dur the games for sure 100% I'm I'm still with the coach you know when the coach is talking to the other running backs pick when they picking our brains tell him what he see maybe thinking about oh what I would have done different just different things like that just gradually and just getting things mentally
