Husky Football Week 1 post game interview with Jonah Coleman and Alphonso Tuputala

about the way the offense performed today relative to kind of what SE the group a lot to learn today we going to make this our worst game so looking forward to getting in Mee rounds in you know correct a couple things but for the most part mostly got got away with so we going celebrate that how much did the offensive line kind of combinations it look like did Chang some things up in that second quarter and L your touchdown Drive did that play kind you the block whoever's in there going through their job pay attention to the personel you know whatever change coach makes makes play Alonso just you seem to be ling up all over the place in different positions in the back field quite a bit can you maybe describe and Define how your position this year and how they're using you differs from last year yeah more versatile I'm more B than I was last year but I'm still playing a good amount of backers so it's pretty pretty cool to have that part part of my Arsenal and show you know coaches obviously help my teammates Mark can help them in different ways better my team become so you up three points which obviously that speaks for itself in terms of like just feeling the game everything how would you assess how this defense played tonight based on what your expectations were first game um always times evalu and really just the first time for heard thing Jonah said it's going to be our worst game moving forward we have a lot of things to clean up but got to celebrate the win it's hard to get a win especially in this league college football celebrate that come in tomorrow and find out where our coaches and and communicate what we got to work on as a defense but team J you obviously follow jet up here just how important was it to you some of the other Arizona guys to make sure he started off here the right you know I focus last year you know where everybody came from just worried about the people that's in the locker room the people that's suting up you know going on that the 11 guys that's going out there really just focus on that just having tunnel vision you know uh Cel out water noise and really just focus on us you know um it's great congrats to coach F and team our first Jonah I I saw a tweet last week that said from you that said zero watch lists and I'm thinking you're maybe motivated by that a little bit oh yeah for sure so today was an example because that thing was like a week old last weekend no watch list at all you know no ACC from no for no one on the team feel you know we got some on the team that nobody watch this actually speak louder than words I don't know if you were on you know a couple new R changes this year but I don't know how much you were on the helmet comps and if you were maybe describe what that was like and then also with the use of the tablets did you have any usage of that was it any help um yeah my a couple times for sure was different from playing from my previous friend we see all nonverbal communication so for sure was kind of youi to be in that situation weren't the only running back who had a successful day in terms of Adam Mohamed comes in as a true freshman off a couple big runs just being in the room with him what have you seen him as AES able to we got a lot of greats in room you know not just Adam but you know Adam Young and he do he does a good a good job of picking the older guys in own brand you know taking coaching uh all the good things like that that's hard to do is freshman you know Tempo and detail so just seeing how far he's come since you know he first got here be obviously had big rown pass thinking back to your freshman year how did Coach fish and the staff kind of talk to you about your opportunity to make play as a true freshman a program on competition so come in compete you you know what you're doing making plays you're producing that's how you get in the game you know those guys make plays in practice you know they came out they play the game so coach going to play the best players Jo what was your kind of first experience uh playing at H Stadium as a Washington player the fans bought it the F the fans bought it today you know just to see the place rocking you know finally get my feet wet get the nerves out and stuff and just wondering um it was good though it was fun around my brothers see the defense you know do what they do also see the off we do what point did you see the flag on first I seen it at right when I got to the end I was going to go to the sideline and you know with everybody and then I looked over and I was like next play s secur the first Washington running back to run for his Deb going back to 196 right what does that mean next for you and obviously this is your second career game of rushan touch you know that when you came up no I didn't know any of that I was just focus on get win that's else with these guys able to hold 11 of 32 passing today and only 98 yard what was the defense the whole Collective group to keep their offense kind of think even though picking up a lot of yard on the ground communication so big that we've been trying to hard on before before this week and up two weeks I think that was one thing trying toize on communicating communicating and obviously our effort and keeping Integrity to what your job is so it was a great full effort from all the on the field no it meon else I think that's I think we did for our first time ex J just any Impressions first game of H stadium with the crowd just your general Impressions I was really taking the moment you know tuing everything in you know um you never know when it's going to be your last time so you got to play every your last um definitely my experience being college so this year I definitely try to taking time that just running out there I was just taking everything everything that's it was all right
