CONFIRMED: One Tree Hill is coming back for a SEQUEL SERIES!!!! 🎉🥳

my friends I am absolutely thrilled to share with you the incredible news that after more than a decade off the air One Tree Hill is coming back this news has been confirmed by countless Publications and thrillingly the original stars of the Show Sophia Bush and Hillary Burton who played Brooke and Payton respectively will be at the helm of this new show now for those who know me One Tree Hill was a massive part of my childhood it was one of the really big bonding things that I had with my parents during my teen years we would all get together and watch the new episodes it was a show that as it came out on DVD and then as it came out on streaming it was really there for me in good times and bad when I was having um a bad difficult time in college it was a show that I would turn to that was so comforting to me the idea of Tree Hill North Carolina this very quaint town with characters who started to feel like real people to me because I spent so many countless hours with them and their relation ship they started to feel like my real friends I I I know that probably sounds crazy but this show really meant a lot to me and it was something that bonded me closer to my parents bonded me closer to my sister and the experience of getting to watch this show growing up a lot of it like when I was the character's age which was so cool to experience the age that they were playing in the universe of the show and while I'm not the ages that these actors are and it looks like they're going to be you know playing Parenthood and raising teens it'll be so exciting to like experience these characters again in a completely new way sadly it looks like Nathan and Lucas will not be returning to the show James laferty on the left and Chad Michael Murray on the right last night I was reading anything and everything I could about this so here is the the deet that I have found big thanks to exr one Tre Hill who compiled like there were so many different tweet threads so many different articles cast members tweeting different things so shout out to this person for compiling the big things that we learned so the things we learned are that the original Stars Sophia Bush and Hillary Burton who play Brooke and Payton are set to Executive produce and reprise their roles of Brook Davis and pton Sawyer there have been informal conversations with other members of the ensemble cast Bush and Burton are the only ones set thus far with formal approaches to others expected if when the series is greenlighted apparently Chad has no plans to return for the followup now this doesn't say but I also read that um the actress who plays Haley and the actress and the actor that plays Nathan are both not returning for the show Jensen Ackles and Danielle akles also executive produce the show most people don't know that they're married it's kind of um a fun small world thing Jensen Ackles as you know is from Supernatural Daniel Ackles is from wiry Hill they've been married for ages and ages she played Rachel ktina on wiry Hill the sequel is said to take place 20 years later following best friends Brook and pyton who are now parents to teens and facing challenges not unfamiliar to to what they tackled in the original series like love insecurities and grief oh my God I'm so excited it's going to be so good I literally can't wait I loved this show you guys you you don't understand like this show meant everything to me the this okay let me pull up the the the CD artwork it's going to be it's going to be a whole it's going to be Memory Lane because not just the show itself the show itself was amazing but the whole universe that they created please tell me I'm not the only one who was absolutely obsessed with these soundtracks so there was the first one which was sort of like a comp of the main songs in the show and then of course the classic gav I don't want to be anything all I have to do is me and have of mind also streaming my best friend's podcast on Spotify per that's a support of bestie then there was the second soundtrack friends with benefit who which true fans of the show will remember the tie-in now you're probably like why don't you have the save to your Spotify um cuz I have the physical copies and I listened on CD that's how old I am I literally oh my gosh the just thrill of going to Walmart or Target or wherever I got these CDs with my mom getting these like the physical copy and then playing it over and over again in the car o nothing matches it I had this boom box to in high school and I would literally be so emo and I would put these CDs in and I would draw just like pton and I would be like everybody leaves no one understands this was probably my favorite of all of the One Tree Hill CDs the road mix true fans of the show will remember that whole episode the whole the whole Don't Wait by dash for confessional oh my gosh also the mixtape by Jack mannequin that was a moment Be Yourself by Audio seve that was a moment Always Love by not a surf I can see it peeking up oh a moment feeling a moment was good too feeling a moment slip away feeling a moment slip away literally every song on these album is incredible also for those who are like true one Tre Hill stand baddies you might remember that they literally had a podcast tiing into the show that was Payton talking to her webcam and it was like in the world of the show as if pton s was like a real human being and this was like when podcasts weren't like a huge thing yet like this show was really big in the early mids like this wasn't I mean this was like just as iPhones were rolling out it wasn't like when you know Tik Tok and all these things existed and everyone had podcast it was just what like that wasn't like a thing so I thought it was so smart of the show to launch a podcast tie in because it was very like Cutting Edge for the time and it would be like episodes where pton would be like talking to her webcam be like this what's going on this week blah blah blah blah everyone always leaves no one understands me and I was like ooh what's going to happen next what's going to happen next and I would literally be downloading those on my family's home computer on my little iTunes be like with the dialup connection I was like let's find out what's going on in Payton Sawyer's world because it's her world and we're living in it it was literally so fun I loved this show I loved this show I'm going to go rewatch it all in anticipation of the comeback also something we don't talking up about this Society is how they flawlessly executed that 5 years ahead jump so many shows have tried to do that so many shows have failed do you know who didn't fail One Tree Hill oh one Tre Hill didn't fail now you may be saying to yourself how can they have One Tree Hill without Lucas Nathan or Haley you can't see but I'm pointing to them on the screen I should have you know my fingers here I personally think think that while the love story of Payton and Lucas was one of the beating hearts of the show it was completely resolved right like there's nothing really more they can explore with that same with Nathan and Haley but the thing that the show always had more room to explore was the friendship with Brooke and and Payton and all the things that happened between them and so I'm really excited that the show I imagine is going to be addressing a lot of that and then also new things that we haven't seen with this group of people that we only got to see through their parents like motherhood raising a child like we got to see that with Karen and some of the other like adult characters when in the original series but it'll be interesting to see them take on those roles I imagine a lot of the ensemble cast is going to be coming back as well also kind of fun news I don't know if you knew this but Hillary Burton is also a writer and she created this new book called grimo girl I ordered one and I'm really excited to read it I really loved the sweet post that Hillary Burton posted on her Instagram about this wait let me like expand it to so you can see the full thing also Sophia Bush has since the rap of that show has come out and embraced her queer identity loud and proud love you girl I love Sophia Bush I've she has oh that amazing raspy voice and she's a queer Ally and she's so politically involved ugh a woman after my heart wait I'm not sure if that one clip processed correctly but I was just saying that Hillary Burton is also a writer and she wrote this amazing book it's super witchy and exciting and I ordered a copy I'm really excited to read it she's married to Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Denny on Grey's Anatomy and also the dad from Supernatural whose son on the show is Jensen AEL who's married to Rachel CA in real life like oo the tingle web we weave also once I made a super viral video about One Tree Hill in which I incorrectly stated what I meant to say was that she married Lucas on the show and that she Mar he married Brooke in real life but I accidentally stated that he married both of them but I like didn't specify and you would have thought that I literally had summoned a plague like the amount of feedback I got where they were like that didn't happen that's not what happened and I was like I'm literally so sorry I misspoke it was a time you had to be there comment if you remember that moment cuz I do my nervous system does okay anyways back to the full thing so she said what if you really can go back home if there's an opportunity to team with brilliant creatives and build a space where all of your friends can show off their talents oh my God I'm in I'm in give I'm going to give you my money how much money does it cost cuz that's how much I'm going to pay our own history reclaim our turf honor our fans sign us up there's Only One Tree Hill after all and you One Tree Hill family have shown us that it's not just an idea it's really a place where everything's better and everything's safe oh my God this is literally so sweet also I love the thing she shared I'm just a riddle wrapped inside a mystery inside of a he is so real she's one of the realest on the show from day one not to be played with and she also shared this beautiful photo and look at beon bevon and Rachel and Brooke and Payton so excited by this news throwing a party for myself because clearly that's who this is for One Tree Hill was the best show ever and now we're going to get to go back to Tree Hill new Mysteries new relationships and it's going to be super amazing I can't wait
