Lakeview Volleyball Postgame Interview With Molly Stuart & Reagan Price 9/10/24

L VI Bulldogs are straight set winners over the draw Indians and take firm control of first place in the N8 conference couple of players of the game Molly Stewart and Reagan price joining me afterwards both of them kill leaders 17 for Stewart 14 for Price let's just start there with the offensive side you guys were able to get some rallies and really prevent Gerard from building on rallies Molly I'll start this question with you swing it over to Reagan afterwards what was it like for you guys just prevent them from getting those rallies keeping that surf squarely in your hands to get that Victory I think our main goal is definitely focusing on first ball contact yesterday worked a lot on Sur even defense at practice so I feel like really Shu us down yeah we knew keeping them out of system will be key they have really good defense really good swings I mean we respect them very much so it was nice that we were able to keep control of that first ball contact like we said and really just start off Molly your swing percentage was through the roof today it felt like everything you were putting your hand on you were fing the floor tonight talk to me about the focus level you were you were in out there on the floor and how you were able to find your swing so many times really started with our I feel like could have been able to do anything without our defense behind us and rean let's talk about you 14 digs tonight you let in that stack category and I don't think that's ever expected on this team it seemed like they were trying to attack you tonight talk to me about how you were able to respond to that and knowing that maybe that you were going to be the one they were going to try to feed it to yeah so this is my first year really playing all the way around and it's been great I mean I've really tried to protect my defense and I knew that they would come at me because a lot of people maybe underestimate what I can do in the background so it's really nice to be able to get conted and stand the control final question for both of you girls I'll start with you Reagan I know this is always a match you girls get up for Gerard's always an exciting one too talk to me about the preparation that went into this and how you guys were able to pull it off in straight sets and really not allow allow them to capture momentum yeah we're huge on energy I mean even throughout school today we were joking about how we couldn't focus in class we were just so excited for our game so really just staying excited staying loud staying excited in the Lo room before the game that was a big part of it last game always really good game for the conference so we Bulldogs are in first place of the conference with a big straight set sweep over Gerard
