Shocking NEWS Luke Kwon NOT the WINNER of Creator Classic???

all right emergency press conference here we're traveling we're at another qualifier so um we had to stop down everything and address this because luk Quan may not actually be the official winner of the Creator classic there was a rules potential violation look I hate to bring this up but somebody's got to talk about it because it's important are we playing by the rules or we playing not by the rules and then what rules do we play by and what rules do we not play by it's very important okay during the Creator classic we got to go through this very specifically because it certainly applies it is important to note this one is that um the playoff F that's a separate event so what happened was and watch this here here's the rule violation I'll play it for you right here it happened at the t-shot of the final hole the 18th hole at East Lake and it involves Wesley at least Wesley Bryan and luk Quan I'll play it for you right here I don't even know what the is here you see if this goes into bunker we're switching hit it hit it like just left of this red circle right here is where you wanted to end up this is interesting they're playing against each other in a playoff and Wesley Bryant is giving lwan advice know you allow to do that do you think he's setting him up okay so Wesley is giving Luke advice clearly even Mark imman the broadcaster is like I didn't know you were allowed to do that you're not allowed to do that let's read the rule okay rule 10-2 of the USGA the rules of golf says during a round a player must not give advice to anyone in the competition who is playing on the course Wesley is clearly giving advice to Luke cuz he didn't know how to play the hole they were all informed that the 10th Fairway was inbounds during this there was no internal out of bounds so you can play down the 10th Fairway so they all knew it that the official clearly stated that so the penalty is a two-stroke General penalty for giving advice or receiving advice during play okay so you could say that okay let's he finished it one under luewan right give him two stroke penalties one over he's out of the playoff Wesley was too under he gets a two Stoke he's even par he's in a chip off to get into this thing and and now it brings a whole bunch of other players in the even par players that's interesting okay but that doesn't apply at all because they said earlier they made it very clear I'll play it for you right here just a reminder that this is brand new this was and you can barely hear it but he was reminding Sean Walsh that this was a new round so it's separate they're two different rounds round one is hold one through R and round two is this hole and that's it so we're clearly not in scenario one where you got to recalculate who's actually in this thing no there was no advice given during round one as far as we know who knows what Wesley was doing but we're not going to we only got what we got and we got him clearly giving advice which is a breach of the rules of golf violation so at least Wesley is getting a two-stroke penalty now here's what is also very interesting and we've got to have an expert rules official to determine this and remember even this rule it says um this does not apply before round while play is stopped under rule um you know weather or or between competitions so when does a round [Music] begin we're obviously at the golf course we got some noise going on okay let's find out when the round begins cuz this is this during the round that we got to ask ourselves is this during the round that's where we need like Pro Blue Blood rules official because according to rule 6-1 starting play of a hole a player has started a hole when they make a stroke to begin the hole Luke hadn't yet stroke the ball he hadn't had a stroke to start the round Wesley did though so at least Wesley gets a two Stow penalty Luke I don't know he clearly got advice on how to play this hole and play had begun not with him but with the others and so Luke is actively receiving advice on how to play this hole from a fellow competitor who their roundout Luke hadn't necessarily begun his but he's still receiving advice he T he he points him aim at the MasterCard Red Dot and just go left of that he does he birdies the hole and he wins the first ever Creator classic congratulations okay now if Luke doesn't receive a penalty here for getting advice which he clearly got advice then this whole thing is congratulations you're the winner however if he did violate and gets a two-stroke penalty then where do the score stand okay this is interesting this gets very interesting cuz Luke finished a hole with birdie so he's a two-stroke penalty potentially so he's one over plus one okay um Roger Steel he chipped up and had a two-footer forar but he didn't tap it in he marked it and was waiting he never finished the hole Wesley puted his birdie ran it 4 feet by marked it he never finished the hole so Luke finishes the hole and Shawn Walsh had a birdie putt which he missed hung on the lip he tapped in for par so only two players actually finished the hole Luke which may or may not have been penalized or should receive a penalty or shouldn't we don't know and Shawn Walsh so the winner could actually be Shawn Walsh cuz he's the only other guy who finished the hole and he finished it definitely ahead of Wesley Roger didn't finish so we don't know it's a nonf finish it's like a withdrawal DQ he DQ technically this I'm surprised nobody else is bringing this up cuz Mark imman thought it was a thing and then everybody just squashed it the question is is this a legit or not legit I'll leave it for you guys but we need to know does Luke receive a penalty or not cuz if he does he might have to mail that trophy over to Shan or or give it to them next time they're playing a match or maybe they could play for it nonetheless it's interesting and those are just the facts that we got to ask ourselves are we playing by the rules or we playing by a different set of rules you tell me what rules are we playing by sorry for the setup leave your comments below sorry Wesley sorry Luke it's just what it is you know I'm in a tournament qualifier we're playing by the rules if somebody breaks the rules it's the way it is that's what I love about this game that's what I hate about this game that's why we play this game fair not fair it is what it is and we live and die by what was set up and they're signing scorecards they're doing everything official there's rules officials out there doing everything why they didn't talk about this I don't know but it is a thing clearly advice was given at least one person gets a penalty at according to the rules unless I'm misinterpreting them somehow it seems like Luke although not in play it was a violation you let me know your thoughts peace out hope you have a good day
