eight plus one hit Innings an incredible performance by Bowen Francis Bowen you're one of the coolest calmest guys on the mound but be honest did your heart rate pick up at all in this start I would say I hit a second gear in the eighth and then um when I went out for the ninth I I I felt y'all for sure thanks for letting them finish guys love ice in the veins so you had five strikeouts with your splitter five with your fast ball one with the slider one with the curve ball you clearly had everything working how confident are you on the mound when you were throwing like that yeah I mean serving caught a great game me the defense behind me gave me all the confidence I think just rolling with it and um believing in my and letting it eat I'm sure that you meditated before this start I'm sure that you had the sage and the sweet grass burning at your locker just what kind of a head space were you in throughout this outing I was just trying to stay in like attack mode and and stay in that flow state but um moments like this it's kind of hard to stay like that but I'm trying to just trying to ride the wave of staying calm and and believing in myself your manager and your pitching coach John Schneider and Pete Walker sent you back out for the ninth you're on 111 pitches your career high long in the rear view what did that mean to you that was huge just uh the trust and the belief in me and and knowing that I can go out there and uh just keep building off of that and keep uh keep building strength and and get ready for the next time and finally you started this year in the rotation you had an injury you went to the miners you're in the bullpen for a bit now you're back you're absolutely thriving what's it mean to you to come through with all the work that you've done it's rewarding but um I got to stay on my toes and keep working I can't ever think you know I got this figured out I got to keep working and and and stay hungry congrats Bowen thank you
