Welcome back to Arlington, Texas. There are certain moments in an athlete's career that are milestones to progress and sometimes they're also what sets a new standard when Rocket City trash band pitcher, Kay and Dana was named to the All Star Futures game. He said it was more of the former than the latter. Getting a name to the All Star Futures game was quite an honor for Dana, but he doesn't want it to alter his process or get to his head and move him away from his goals on Saturday of All Star weekend, Dana was tabbed to toss an inning for the American League team. Now it didn't go perfect as he allowed two hits including a homer, but he did strike out one on 14 pitches. So it wasn't a waste. He said he made the most of his experience competing against the best of the minor leagues and shared his favorite parts of the weekend, went by fast, but it was a good weekend. It was a great experience and uh obviously, like I said before, blessed to be here and um experience all of it and whatever happened, happened and it was uh it was fun by being in this locker room. It is a, it is a good spot in Texas Rangers. They got a good set up here and probably just being with all these guys and meet new people. That's probably the experience elsewhere in the box score, Drake Baldwin of the Atlanta Braves organization was busy ranked as the franchise's number 11 prospect. He certainly made an impression as the lone bravo in the futures game. Baldwin bashed a two run home run the opposite way and put his national league team up 61. Ultimately what stood as the final tally, the ball went over 400 ft and at 100 and 7.3 MPH, it was the hardest hit ball of the game sank in a little bit. Uh, just looking for a fastball there. I knew his slider was really good, so I was trying not to chase that and, and hit a fastball middle and luckily got it and, and didn't miss it. So jogging around that stadium with people clapping and stuff. It was awesome. Something that I'll definitely never forget. So Baldwin goes back to AAA Gwinnett and Dana goes back to a, a rocket city with all star moments and all star memories of their own, but they hope it's just one stop before having a go at the big league version of this game sometime soon. All right, coming up after the break, we go to those big leagues. We'll talk about the major league. All stars from the Atlanta Braves. That's next on Fox. 54 sports.
