all right what's up everybody we are we're down we are down by three decided to go live I got my TV right here so you're going to be kind of seeing me from this angle all right and we are just going to be going and play by play with it we got Jared G out route to Aman rain Brown we're at 426 left in the fourth quarter 426 left in the fourth quarter Lions Trail 20- 17 to the Los Angeles Rams uh it seems like it felt like the game was ours right it felt like the game was ours you get that long touchdown to Jameson Williams all the momentums going in our Direction and then all of a sudden the Rams just come storming back absolutely storming back all right so let's see oh he didn't see it he got hit in the middle of his throw he had will he had J wide open all right he had J open it was looking good all right and uh it was a corner Blitz I think that was coming from the outside and uh it got him I mean it got him so it was Durant coming verse is always there so he saw him but he didn't see Durant and that is that is what the problem is so we're at third and five this is kind of the first make or break play of the Season like you got to have it you've got to have this play you don't want to give it back to the Rams who for some reason we cannot stop all right it's pass play Goff drops back throws outside and it is I thought intercepted but Durant did not finish the process of the catch he had J like he just underthrew it by just that much it was a great play by Durant but um he had him and just had to lead him a little bit more if uh he's a wide receiver he did not complete the process of the catch so we'll see what happens looks like we're going to be punting away I don't like that giving it to Stafford the guy that has has been here uh forever so we'll see what happens but here we are our own 35 yard line Fox is on time to punt oh boy all right now it's going to rely on the defense who's really had to carry this game all right fair at the 10 and a half 11 yard line okay so here we go we're going into commercial break here we got the Lions up by three lines up by three and uh we'll see what happens all right nor is gonna be here soon Chris is gonna be here all right he's gonna be here don't even need to worry about it all right we're gonna be oh my goodness like I got people are texting you know all this stuff here's the thing and this is what I want to talk about Detroit Lions we always knew these first two games were going to be really really hard all right we knew the first two games were going to be hard it's playing against the two teams that we beat in the playoffs we ended their season all right so it's going to be tricky it's not like you're gonna just be able to walk in here and just get it done all right it's going to be hard it's not going to be a gimme takeaway game it's going to be one of those things where you knew you're going to have to battle for it I didn't think we'd be up 173 and then all of a sudden find ourselves down 20 to 17 but that's what happens sometimes the offense is uncharacteristically the side of the ball that is absolutely not hanging in uh but the defense here's what I'm worried about right now we gave him the ball back and uh the Rams we gave him the ball back and our defense has been on the field a lot and I mean a lot the time of possession is not in our favor right now so those are one of the things that I'm um of course worried about so we'll see what happens when we come back Craig what do we do we uh we don't freak out you're freaking out I'm not freaking out uh just wow extremely disappointed here in the offense um yeah I the offense is dead I mean that's I I don't even understand how to look at it it looks like an offense that didn't play together all preseason but you expect them to start slow and then figure it out as they go and they've just been stuck in like second gear you know they just can't get it going and there was that one drive where it looked kind of like last year's offense a lot of play action um yep you know the play action where gof fakes it to the running back but the running back's not even really that close to the ball and right it's like oh that's that's what I love that and let's throw it baby but uh hasn't looked just has looked man dull look dull yeah like the the Rams are hurt as can be like their offense is finding a way so here we got it all right first and 10 Rams at at their own 11 and Stafford's doing exactly what he's done all day throwing over the middle for five yards have you heard that somewhere five yard completion up real nice real nice oh my gosh all right just keep dropping back in zone right just keep dropping back in zone I mean I don't know if he can do it um here's what's going to happen we are going to get the ball back but we're only going to get few few seconds left Jake bat 64 Yer to tie it so 64 y to tie overtime yeah get ready um no we have all three timeouts we don't need to stop them the first you know I mean obviously have to stop them it's going to cup cup think yep there he is but Stafford looked away wow is that interference or not nope okay couple bad interference calls um couple of uh unique interference calls but the ones that kind of frustrated me were um in different areas different areas just miss like the Mist tripping y on the right tackle uh that's frustrating that kept the drive alive oh oh it's a good thing we didn't get a call there we could have got one um Stafford you're fine really good at and I remember he started doing that at the end of his time here he's real good at plating for a whistle Y and he's got his ankle wrapped all right third and five here we go here we go come on baby all right Hut everybody gets pressure and they still complete it like what is that he's there's he's like running away he was under the pile and it the ball comes out dude everybody's there everybody's there he just kind of throws it over and it's gets arguably our best player in the defensive secondary against Branch a no Namer oh no that all right that I thought that was the like I it was what was it Demarcus Robinson that gets the catch unbel all right so here we go we have three timeouts we have the two-minute warning but we got to do something good on first down here we can't just give them a five yard completion again yeah this is well they're running it so all right there we go that's what we needed hey Craig defensively played unbelievable I I we look different we it feels different like you can see the defense is different and then but I mean you just can't be on the field this much as killing us so the things that look the same unfortunately is we can get pressure on the quarterback just really hard getting him down man it's not like Stafford's the most mobile human on earth he's not the least but you're right we had a couple just I get it you're trying to break down and get him but yeah I mean the one against Hutch where he was held so he couldn't tackle him but you know he had um he had him dead to rights and just bounced off of him did we use a a to we did good I like I like getting to the timeouts before the two minute bigname defense and that's what I don't understand so here's all right so now we're going back on offense right so we can talk about our offense a little bit but let's first watch this uh um oh he almost got home for that punt he's gonna have a return here monster punt khif go up field baby get up okay um so here's what I've noticed on offense like clearly we don't we're not running khif out there that much so we've been running a ton of two wide receiver sets like a ton it's like Wisconsin out here because we yeah we've had a lot of fullback we've had two running backs a lot um couple of two running backs a couple of 21 Personnel couple of 12 Personnel hey we need we need 30 yards to tie the game a shot 21 to go though let's go win please yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah oh there's gonna be yards he went the wrong way he went the wrong way cool okay yeah so two minute warning hey here's the thing you're playing this a little bit of a weird game here because yeah obviously you want to go down score kick a field goal tie it but they have all three timeouts you leave him any more than a minute and it's you leave him more than yeah well than 30 seconds I mean seriously if all he needs is a field goal you can't give him more than 30 seconds with three timeouts but touchdown yeah 45 seconds to a minute you feel a little better and I never like being that guy because it's like come on you're down like who cares do anything you can but it does feel now the only thing is he wouldn't have the his normal time like if he was forced to do some downfield throws he hasn't even been forced to do a single downfield throw we can get home but um that's the only thing yeah I understand that that does make sense I I just I don't like it I just I I don't like it because I like what I see um from hold on hold on what am I saying I don't like it because I do you see us physically look so much better defensively um it's so encouraging and I think this is a really good offense the whole thing and so for our offense to be flat all game I mean we had that one big throw to to J but that that I mean it's been even runs like that per that was a perfect example we've had some holes and it's like six yards I thought that'd go for 12 yeah for sure and and obviously you're not going to complain at six yards uh but when the offense is struggling to throw for that like I mean that's tough you know I was expecting to come on here after the game you know we would have won you know 31 to 17 because we were gonna our offense was going to keep rolling because they kind of got going there gonna talk about the Difference Maker that J is yeah like this is this is everything I'm planning on talking about and then it just sputtered for a quarter and a half just done see you I was expecting coming out in the third quarter we came out in the third quarter three and out and you know that was such a thing last year I was expecting something wild a reverse a something and it was just like three and out okay yeah H it's exactly what it was and yeah I don't know when I when I look at this game I just I think I think of a couple things here like I'm trying to understand why the offense is struggling getting going I get it because they didn't play in the preseason but at the same time like it's not like this is an offense that hasn't been together right everybody's been I understand I understand getting the running game going with the offensive line being you know a new piece on the offensive line but the passing game should be doing exactly what it did right there oh targeting targeting you're gone and yard watching college football get him out of here see you later he's gone get the police out there get the police take him off the field now is that one of those things where it's like you get targeting oh I don't like that because he's going to tackle him you know it's not the spearing I mean he did hit him with the yeah yeah I say it's fine straight helmet to helmet yeah yeah what I'm saying is I feel I guess I feel like that's not the spirit of the rule but it did it dides it did happen like he doesn't try to kill him yeah the letter of the law it is yep right the spirit of the rule I think you're right I think he was just kind of there and he duck he dipped his head dipped it so we're in field go range already love it all right oh baby here we go things you will do field goal is going to take three seconds off three to four seconds right so you're down to 17 or 16 you tell Bates you kick this ball in the landing Zone that's going to take they stood firm in the Red Zone uh they started uh making plays on the ball kind of getting you know some of these some of these good things that were starting to happen and I was like okay maybe there's a little something different the offense gets it going at the end of the first half and honestly how I felt going into halftime was like all right time to run away with it in the second half what was your feelings after the first half I I thought what you said earlier I thought coming out in the second half it would be a big emphasis especially about the third quarter situations we've had in the past so I thought third quarter they're going to really they got something they got something ready and I thought hey we didn't play together all preseason so that first half totally makes sense wasn't worried at all and then to come out and just same thing all third quarter yeah that was that was surprising it really was yep and I thought and I thought offensive play calling was was rough but safe yeah safe but then then you see that overtime drive and I think that's what Ben Johnson was envisioning all game and it finally came through in the thankfully in the in the because we we we comment on it's like man what do we run in Iowa's offense right we got we got a tight ends we've got fullbacks but love it love to see that obviously worked out what about you going your thoughts of the second half second half it's like all right here we go you get that big play to Jameson Williams right you get that big play he shows the speed I mean he had two really big plays by the way he's on my fantasy team I'm just saying traded for him all right just fully believed in it and uh they're interviewing him in uh Goff right now by the way but like it fully believe in him you get the big play and then all of a sudden you're like it's over it's 173 we're going to run away or 176 we're going to run away with this thing and then we just start giving up points right what are we doing what are we doing right now it got scary we and that's what we did against the 49ers in the NFC championship game we just stalled we stalled out and it started to feel familiar I just kind of thought the whole time like we're gonna win this game they have too many injuries we're at home like we're gonna find a way to win it it's weird thinking that as a lions fan right because two years ago even a year ago you're like we're g to find a way to lose it and now it's like no we'll find a way to win it yep we'll find a way to win and um yeah I I I think for me I was really surprised at yeah the play calling on the on the offensive side I was really surprised at how well the defense played because Shawn McVey and Stafford they they are just man they're a good combination the the way they off that offense fits him he's athletic and so it's just like oh my gosh I mean how many five-yard passes did he have that's like this is brutal so our defense to hang in there they they look physical anzalone was flying around early but then kind of went away um let me ask you about I'll rapid fire let me rapid fire some players at you okay let's go um thoughts emotions on on tyon Arnold and what you saw okay thoughts and emotions on tyon Arnold um if I'm if I'm gonna be honest with you on tyon Arnold uh he was he was better than I thought he would be uh there was two pass interference I think both of them could have been pass interference both of them could have not been pass interference I think that's just kind of the learning curve but overall when he was on Cooper cup he was very sticky in coverage wherever he was honestly he was sticky coverage I thought both he and Davis on the other side played really really well and he showed me enough in his first game against a very complex scheme that the Rams run he showed that he has all the makings of being a solid cornerback in this league y I'm not saying he's going to be I don't he doesn't give me the vibe of like lock down Rivas Island corner he just gives me the vibe of he's going to be a solid Corner who's GNA make plays and can cover anyone yeah what about oh you're rapid firing me sorry yeah what about zeitler New Guy older need need him on the offensive line yeah I was terrified about zitler if I'm gonna be honest with you because he was out preseason he wasn't practicing a ton I was worried about like what is that going to look like with the offensive line he had the shoulder injury like how's it going to be he was powerful man in the Run game his run blocking was unbelievable I didn't see him give up really Min any pressures his name was never called I thought zeitler was a breath of fresh air if I'm going to be honest I was worried he was going to get too old he looks like he has plenty left in the tank dude yes I I feel really good about him as well what about the guy that we've all been waiting to see J Mo J Mo everything I wanted in more man except cut it up cut it up in the fourth quarter all right when you have to get a first down so we don't have third and five and have to get kick a field goal all right cut it up but Jameson Williams all right uh let's let's look at the numbers can we look at the numbers for him yes all right let's share it with everybody all right Jameson Williams here he is five catches 121 yards and a touchdown on nine targets he is the p that we have been missing he's the piece we were missing even last year like he is the Difference Maker he had one play that he caught it across the middle like a five six seven yard catch that he turned into 36 or 37 he had another play that he went deep just flat out beat a guy right just Flatout beat a guy deep 52 yard touchdown though we did we have not had anybody that could do that since Kelvin Johnson am I wrong no he's not Kelvin but like that kind of game playing that kind of explosion awesome best best player on offense on the field tonight huge and that's what we've been waiting for and I know it's not this easy but it also feels like it should be this easy that's stop and go was like yep can we do that every once a game just once a game um here's the guy I'm most excited about after this game okay was Davenport what did you boy look out dude Davenport what I thought about him was like I knew when he was healthy he'd be good I thought he ran out of gas in the second half a little bit um but he is exactly what we need opposite Hutchinson you can't ignore him like there were multiple times that he got pressures on the quarterback if he was blocked by just a single tackle he was getting pressure that's what it was and he can play against the pass he can play against the Run he can bull rush he has got a little Bend to him like if he can stay healthy that's a really good one-two punch on the outside agreed he is a he he looks physical like uh man he looks big that bull rush yeah fine do that every time I don't care and like you like you said a great complimentary piece last one I'll give I give you uh David Montgomery just feel like he doesn't get the love we kind of we just like talking about Gibbs we know montgomry is there but man it seemed like he really put it put it all together for us at the end yeah this game if felt like it took longer to get there CU we couldn't run as many plays and the Rams were just like throwing the ball like five yards five yards five yards five yards right but David Montgomery you saw him wear on that defense yes and by the time overtime came that defense was Gass and David Montgomery was at Peak he was at Peak form overall he went 17 carries for 91 yards 5.4 yards uh a pop he created yards when there were no yards he took the yards that were available to him his vision was good his power was good his contact balance was good overall I thought David Montgomery against a defense that was absolutely ready came to play for the Rams like they came ready to play yeah uh I thought that David Montgomery did a phenomenal job with the tools in his toolbox uh and again just reminded me again that Jamal Williams it wasn't you man it was the system and David Montgomery is an even better running back it it was really really fun to watch a guy who you could just hand it to him and you knew he'd get four yards at least yep his physicality is is another thing that that fits us so well and I love yep he just he just gets overlooked David Montgomery love everything that I saw from him and what did you think of the defense I mean I I I thought the defense up considering what they're up against played well um but they did not have to go against puka you know puka wasn't there and that yeah he got hurt was so I but I still love the defense what was your thoughts on the defense overall my thought was the defense for how often the offense put them in a vulnerable position and how the offense kept them so off you know the offense kept them on the field a lot um I'm trying to find time of possession here yeah it ended up being 35 to 20 29 so you know not the worst thing in the world um for offense um but I I just I'm telling you right now I thought the defense played well they did end up giving up almost 400 yards I think um but and against an offensive line that wasn't there I thought the secondary held up well for with the calls that Aaron Glenn was doing they played it the way they should I thought the defensive line should have gotten more pressure on a banged up uh three tackle down uh and then even a guard like I I thought defensive line should have gotten more pressure I just did uh but the run defense was good I thought the secondary was good I'm just looking for more pass rush 100% I love it and we we've talked about it man it feels like we're right there is that you know it's like is that just because I'm a fan of this team that it every time it feels like we're that close to a sack or is that what happens everywhere and we're really not but it feels like get him and it's like no just he gets rid of the ball so to your point that was something we struggled with last year year and again I don't know if it's because I'm so emotionally invested that I'm like zck him please but it's like right come on so I I uh totally agree I loved everything about the the defense just looks good that's a tough offense look good let me ask you one other one I wanted to hit you with let me get it Bates Jake Bates he did his job yes he did his job two extra points both were good two field goals nothing long both were good we never question Bate's ability to kick a long field goal right like ever we know that yep we know we can kick a long field goal with the best of them and his accuracy even from deep is with the best of them the question was could he make the routine kicks he was four for four in routine kicks today and if he didn't make any of them we lose that game and okay that's that's where I'm at with Bates as well and you know what another thing I'm I'm going all over the place with you but I I love um we have even have a Rams fan in here appreciate you he's talking about an interception that should have had on golf he's right that makes me brings me to a point that I love is like um Stafford threw it right to the sorry when when when we think of Goff I he's going to throw you know interceptions are one thing but what a difference if it's not like an egregious interception where you're like what was that right his interception was a bang bang play with st Brown like that's so much different than a Daniel Jones interception or a will Levis like what the so yes he had an interception or even a Kirby Joseph hey thank you so much Matt Stafford that was an easy interception too right yes so I loved I I thought I thought golf played well I did not think it was a golf problem I thought the overall scheme that we were doing was was a problem I thought it was a problem by hey thank you Tom so much for uh the compliment and uh what is it a Super Chat is that what we call these things I'm I've only been doing you for how long now Chris like I should know the name of these things uh but like here here's the thing like I don't and everybody talks about golf when you look at the box score right let's look at Stafford first 34 um let let's let's show it he was 3449 for 317 right touchdown and a pick so it took him 49 throws to get one touchdown one pick rating of 85 Goff in 21 less throws 217 yards a touch down a pick rating of 85 like you can't sit there and then you got to hand it to him like don't get me wrong at the end I was upset when he tried to move and threw it at Gibb's feet like I I understand the frustration there but he also had a sevenard Scramble for a first down that he kept a drive alive things that we haven't seen from him ever it was it was like we were transported right and not against Texas yesterday but we it's like we were watching Michigan's offense last year like in this game the national championship offense and that and what happened is exactly what happened with Michigan's offense they continued to run the ball and by the time the game was over the defense was gassed and David Montgomery just run after run was able to to get all the way down uh the field it was kind of cool I don't even know what your question was but you're right gof was fine he was a game manager on this one he didn't have to win us this game he didn't have to win us this game we won without him having to do do that yeah I thought gof was totally fine it was just this is just kind of the offensive game plan and what they were doing and yep you know Switching gears over to anzalone again I thought he set the tone early y I'm always unsure about him I want to believe he's not good um is just my heart says that this guy's not good we picked him up for a one-year kind of bridge guy till we figure out our defense and he's just here he is four years later still our middle linebacker that we love and it's like okay so he's good like and so I still don't believe my eyes half the time when I see anzalone flying around and being like a stud linebacker kind of disappeared a little bit at times but for the most part he's a good linebacker I I don't know what do you think of anzelone yeah he's a Sol linebacker and every once in a while he has that Big Time clunker game this just wasn't one of them um he played he played really really well uh his uh veteran uh leadership and Poise actually showed look at listen to me sounded like an old guy talk talking he boys um he understood what the offense was trying to do and that's how you look like you're flying all over the field is because you know where the ball's going and he did a great job of reading what was happening in the offense understanding what defense they were in understanding what Stafford would do because he knows Stafford's smart too um he's the quarterback of our defense and he played that way and I'm I'm really really thankful that uh he's on our team can I give you can I give you the not great side of it yep hit me with that Jack Campbell did not play well oh Jack he was forgot he was supposed to come in and he played the first quarter and guess who finished the game Guess Who played the whole second half Derek Barnes like Campbell Campbell wasn't there I mean he apparently he's been really really good in practice which is great we need to see it in the game yeah and they had to pull him because they were like no it's not going to work maybe he gets more run again against the against the Bucks and it's so surprising and I'm like come on come on and here's a um appreciate you man here's I Ben and Glenn called a mid game I don't know I thought I thought um Ben did which is surprising he's usually ahead of the curve you feeling good about him but yeah I actually kind of thought that Glenn called a mid game too I thought it was good not great um I thought he called a great game in the first half and then as injuries and different things started to take uh take place it started to go kind of the other way um I thought they had I forget the left tackle name seventh round pick out of Michigan State number 61 Aiden Hutchinson was just destroying him taking him to school he was the bus driver right and uh for the majority of the second half you can rewatch it they put anzelone on the other side or Not anone Sorry Hutchinson on the other side it's like what are you doing like he's owning this guy oh well they're him who cares they they still couldn't stop him he's on The Blind Side so there were some things and a little too much zone for my liking I get it you can't run man every single time but uh Stafford would would get five to 10 yards every single play they ran Zone every time he read that so easily which is like shocking and I hated that it's all the motion it's all motion yeah for for real and it's like oh my gosh um real quick on these I this is the classic if you're a fan of the lions that did not look like too bad the one of them did but if you're not I don't know it's just those these are ones where I know it's like I know I'm a fan of this team this particular team it's hard to look at this objectively but I did feel they both were I don't know what you what were your thoughts I thought they were pass interference by the letter of the law they pass interference one was a face mask I mean yeah that that like that one was obvious right but the one in the corner of the end zone um it would not have been pass interference if he just turned his head his head turned his head and he didn't you can face guard in college you can't face guard in the NFL so if you never turn your head and you have contact with the wide receiver it's a flag like that's that's just what it is and so like I'm sitting here and I wanted to be upset but I couldn't be upset because that's what it was yep that's absolutely what it was I will say this though I still to this day do not think that was an interception by the Rams I do not think his hand was under it his hand can't get under it from this position right and like the ball like and there was one angle when they came back after they had reviewed it I understand it has to be uh you know what's the word inconclusive or whatever yeah it had to be yeah like you can't inconclusive it was inconclusive but oh yeah like but like and I understand that so I understand why they made the call the way they made the call but even watching him get up after he made the pick he knew he didn't pick it off like he didn't I know you're saying though you can't that the whole angle it's hard to not get a good angle but it they and it was like no man um yeah that that was that was messed up I oh man huge Victory because we got four games until a by week so these first four gota go you got to get them gotta get them because you go on that buy and then it's a long Long Haul like settle in for the long run we play you know 16 consecutive games if we're going to go all the way so yeah I love it um can I ask you a question uh level of one to 10 how worried are you about the Bucks uh please keep in mind that Baker Mayfield went off against the commanders today um I'm 4.2 okay is my level of concern because I think we match up well with them and I think they're good team they're shockingly good uh Baker Mayfield is a great fit for them if you just ask me if you just ask me what what are my thoughts on them I would say all glowing things but I think just playing us you could see it last year kind of golf looked so good um golf's dangerous if when gol's dangerous he's dangerous when he's struggling it's like little bully so I just think Go's comfortable against them we'll see if they adjust of course but um that's kind of where I'm at we're you at with with this game next week I'm a little higher than you I'm like 5.7 to 6.2 range um which isn't shockingly worried again the reason I'm worried is the same reason I was worried about the Rams right it's the Revenge Factor side of it and nobody can hold a grudge like Baker um but like I would say it's both the Revenge Factor but I get what you're saying with the matchup I really do understand what you're saying with the matchup because they don't have a defensive line that routinely gets pressure on the quarterback and when you combine that with our really good offensive line yeah you're right like it it is set up for Goff to be comfortable in the pocket like he wasn't that comfortable in the pocket today by the way Jared verse is gonna be a good NFL football player for the r just I'm just gonna throw that out there he's gonna be he's gonna be the Rams and the Lions I'm telling you like that's kind of fun to watch in the NFC it feels like they're two organizations the Rams have proven they know what they're doing the Lions have gotten to that point too it's going to be fun to watch uh those teams kind of go at it along with the Eagles and the Packers and all that and I'm not saying the Cowboys because uh even if they beat down the Browns uh it doesn't matter because come December and I'm with you I think we'll see more of that that offense that we loved seeing last year where goff's doing the play action just really ripping it yeah he did not feel it felt lot of like quick I got to get this out of here he was yeah he was under it wasn't Under Pressure but it was like things are closing in and nobody was open it was uh it'll be interesting because Baker holds on to the ball he doesn't get rid of it like Stafford does so it'll be interesting to see if what kind of uh pass rush we can create uh we almost fully abandoned the blitz I'd be very interested to see like am I wrong in that like I really didn't notice uh the blitz mhm and I really I didn't notice it afterward because I mean he was getting the ball out so fast it's like all right stop I thought you know when when when they're bunched in like that wide receivers and we we do the same thing that's a great chance once in a while to bring one of those coverage guys because they're already so close to line of scrimmage right there bring a bring a corner on a blitz man we didn't do any of that nope man talk about putting your it's almost like we ran a pre-season game yeah it was it was weird cuz yeah you like for for me it was like okay they've got an injured offensive line let's let's back up let's Rush four it felt like we were way bringing the fight to him which I I appreciate that but at the same time I don't know there was some times where it felt like all right let's let's change it up a little bit because those little four yard passes three yard passes were starting to kill me but yep got it done yeah was fun go um man Stafford's so much better than Baker yeah yeah I agree with that too aggressive at times I felt like it we're going to be aggressive I think that's pretty obvious now in year four of Dan Campbell and these coordinators and it's just that's just what we're you gotta that's where we're at I gotta remember it I'm so glad Dan Campbell generally generally played played by the book today which came out to be the right thing so that was good to see yeah there's only one time he went for it but even by the book that one actually made sense yep I agree and we ended up with a field goal and it was just a shorter attempt and so like yeah I I thought he was very smart with it he kicked field goals when he should have kicked field goals at the end when it was fourth and five he kicked a people like that are like put Branch back at nickel here's the thing Branch missed an interception yeah uh that he should have had he had a breakup on the outside he did he settled in first quarter and a half he did not play well but then he absolutely settled in he will be really good there but our nickel was great like you know I mean whoever we had playing nickel played it very very well yes I'm not I was gonna say Brian branch is gonna be good at safety yeah he is gonna be good and um he made a couple mistakes he I mean puka AA does this to everybody but just a quick little and he just ran through his arm tackle and it's like oh my gosh but yeah when did that happen last year right like what happened so yes exactly so that I think but Branch you can see he's got instincts he's flying around we that's not melan fonu is not doing that he's more up in the Box just like playing against the Run uh Branch can do it all he is he's special man and I do I love mopon will I I really do and I think he's a great both depth piece and I think he would have gotten on the field quite a bit I think he matches up well if you want to um have a guy who can be in a box like there was a few times where they got cup lined up over a linebacker and you're like get that out of here and if you can get melan in on that um or if you can get him over a tight end you know when you play some some teams that have better tight end play like I really like that for him but you gotta take it you got to take it easy back when you're messing with an Achilles Like if he's got if he's got a little problem with his Achilles Like get him right before you bring him back you don't want you don't want micro tears in there oh my goodness that just turning see right like no no no no no no no no I were great game Lions are one and know and I think that's shoot that's it man that's a that's a good opponent you know we'll see if they can get healthy and all that stuff but yeah um I just think that's a good opponent I agree with a with a veteran quarterback and a veteran coach in tandem that you're G to go against so like they can carry themselves to a win in week one everyone's trying to figure it out so to go in and and stop those guys is great it's like I just feel I feel good how do you feel about Dan's comment right there Stafford looks scary there then oh oh nasty I thought he looked scary the whole game where it was just like he just gets what we're doing he's not going deep on anything and he's just a he's just gonna chip away at us but yeah we did it uh before we go yep can I just
