greetings lady from Toronto how are you today very well totally not I'm very lucky because I was able to see this Premiere last year at Tiff I'm sorry that you three weren't thereo obvious reasons but I got to tell you something it was one of my top faves I absolutely loved it um Carrie I want to start with you because I think it's kind gift to have a director writer director come to you three and say these characters with you guys in mind but do when you take on a r like that do you feel a little bit more pressured do you take it on a little differently knowing that he Asa has a vision of what he wants no I guess I took it on like well I guess he decided this is he wanted me in it so I felt more I guess more more like I belong than ever in fact because he had said he it was so flattering to have it be written for us and of course the fact that he had actually enrolled Lizzie and Natasha in the project was the most appealing part and um no I didn't really think I didn't really think about it beyond that you're just trying to you're just trying deliver the thing moment to moment and it's written so specifically the punctuation The rhythms of the way the characters speak it was all really specific and so the thing we were all trying to do was just be in service of this Vision that he had been he'd been so carefully um shepherding you know already yeah and Lizzie let's go to you next because I to me this felt like I could watch this on a Broadway stage it was very theatrical to me in terms of a play I but you guys shot in these very close quarters this apartment so how did that help you um you know and and make the three of you Bond even better or I don't know like because you were in such tight quarters well I think you feel it in the film that there's really nowhere to hide and especially Christina is constantly trying to figure out um how to create her own space um unsuccessfully largely whether it's sitting in a chair and breathing or stretching with her yoga mat and different corners of the space but um I do believe that us uh having having the limitations that we had which were I think was actually a big element of why we were so excited to be a part of O's film is were these limitations like everything was kind of Stripped Away to only necessity and so we don't have trailers we have um apart other apartments that we go to and just still I mean I was still with Carrie in our own little space and we had rooms but we were never in them we were always in our living space with the one sofa and a yoga met on the floor largely um Carrie doesn't get a lot of time to sleep and so she would need to be able to close her eyes at any moment but so it was it was this way of us um you come you come into a job knowing that uh there's a certain element of intimacy that I need to have with certain characters or other actors and uh some people don't care about that which is fine we all do care about that and I think we all just came and showed up and we you're all just kind of like this is this is kind of who I Who I Am um and uh and I think that all that all leads to I don't know that feeling of us being in this one space and it and it helps understand we could understand how to relate to one another in these closed spaces and I don't know I answer the question yeah Natasha let's end it with you because I got to tell you every time I see you and whatever you do my heart always just goes to you I I don't know what it is about you but my God you just always bring your A I mean you all three do but I have to ask you about this character Rachel because she's got her vices she always puts up these These Walls but yeah you give us this vulnerability I mean how on Earth do you do this so well uh listen I uh it's a it's a it's a gift and a nightmare um because it travels with um I think I am a real uh hard on my uh sleeve type I think I you know I'm very bad at lying which is not always a great thing and uh uh I think I really uh like love us as we are not as we're supposed to be but I'm constantly like up at night grappling with that trying to sort of square knowing that I'm sort of doing it wrong because you know when people say how are you you're supposed to say oh just terrific you know not anxious at all mortality not on my radar uh you know so I think that I just sort of uh bring that with and then it gets like he's very lucky you know it's not an easy uh trick it's nice to say okay that's why but I there's very few times where you're like hey this person and this person can hold it and Aza has actually you know he had little musical notes like inside of his script that's how much he knew what it was so I think that um although maybe I've done it in uh other iterations this sort of uh uh you know and know probably helps you know to be uh vulnerable if you're a tough guy because it's a it's a duality I guess but here it was like with us it was uh like safe to genuinely drop in and actually because of the quality of artists they are it's like you can't tell them a lie like a lot of times you can you know we're all seasoned also in in television sometimes you just got to get through the scene the guy doesn't know the line whatever it is you kind of do your thing you keep it moving Life's Too Short water off it do back like it's just um here actually like something would happen if I look at Lizzie or something a third thing would occur that wasn't anticipated and because it was oza that was legal and Carrie is like I I don't know it's just I think that for us like our our respect level is just there's so few people that actually walk the walk um that we knew that we had to sort of show up for that so it you know what I mean it's just this one I do think is is um quite unique in that way and but I'm grateful to hear you say it because like I'm saying you know it's not great in all of my uh with my boyfriends and stuff it's not fun for them uh to always know exactly how I feel I'm like arguably that's the gig right well you'll know what I'm thinking even if it's subtext and boy do they guys I gotta tell you something three of my favorite actresses what a thrill for me on a Saturday afternoon to talk three of you thank you so much for your time today best of luck with this and I hope to see you all three of you at the critic's Choice Awards because I tell you you all got my vote thank you so thank you so much
