Houston Astros Beat The Orioles Alex Bregman Hits Home Run Astros Postgame!!

yo what's going on guys it's Houston Sports Talk Back in the video today and today the Houston Astros beat the Baltimore orals 6 to3 they avoid a series loss as this was the first time the Astros had a four game series in a while but they avoid the series loss split with Oriols 2 to2 which I'm going to be brutally honest right here it wasn't for Brian Bru giving up a grand slam and John Singleton you not showing a lot of speed on on a play at first base also look you you can blame John seeton for that play but um also you can blame fber Valdez for the same exact reason for not covering first base I think it was both fber and John Singleton's fault uh for not ending that inning yesterday when Jackson holiday would eventually have a three RBI double and the Orioles would win by one but you know multiple mistakes mistakes that shouldn't be you know made in this series and yers have themselves another sweep against the Baltimore oils uh and would have finished the season seven 7 and0 against Baltimore as they sweeped Baltimore in the three games in Houston but uh here's the good thing the Astros don't lose this series so ultimately they still win the season series against Baltimore Astros finish 5-2 against Baltimore and um even uh even that even even if the Astros lost this game they still would have you know won the season series so you know tonight doesn't affect that I mean if they lost if they lost this game tonight they would have finished the season uh four and three against them so um you know they still would have won this you know season series um even if they lost this game but uh still to finish the you know the season 5-2 against them is is great and six to3 is the final score this was a big win for the Astros because not did they not only did they just lose the their last two games but Mariners had a good series against the Giants after firing their manager and um you know the Astros stay four game four and a half games up in the division and they don't let the Mariners you know you know gain any ground on on the Astros it was five games up now it's four and a half so um trying to keep that close and and the Astros are going to you know are are going to need that to stay close when they're about to play the Philadelphia Phillies it's going to be an interesting World Series rematch this week starting tomorrow uh when the Astros play the Phillies now before I get into this game a little bit of an announcement after the game tonight as this game was on Sunday Night Baseball it was announced that the game that the Astros will play in two weeks at minemade Park against the Arizona Dbacks that is at minute made Park which was supposed to be played at 1:10 will be switched to Sunday night baseball and ESPN where the Astros will get a national televis game this absolutely made my day absolutely great news um look for two reasons number one as an Astros fan you always want to see um you always want to see the Astros get you know more National Television games obviously you know there are a lot of Astros fans who don't have Space City home network uh because look at a you look at YouTube TV there you know there's no space City home network there um and it's more you know it's more it's more of a chance for everybody to get to watch the Astros because I think what the astras have done this year is actually really interesting from a team that's gone from 12 and 24 with so many injuries and now 70 and 60 just reach the 70 win Mark um so I think for everybody to get to watch them even though if you don't like the asers because they cheated boohoo um I still think there's they're such an interesting team to watch and even though we've seen a couple National Television games this year I don't think really the aster is one of the best teams in Major League Baseball have actually uh you know gotten that much attention as they should on National Television this year um tomorrow they'll be on national TV again on FS1 and that'll be three games in the last four or five where they're on national TV but outside of the you know three games in the last five really haven't haven't been a lot of love on Asal TV this year for the stros but obviously got the one reason that everybody's going to be able to watch the stros not just Astros fans and there are some Astros fans who can't watch the Astros uh another reason for me and I know a lot lot of htown fans are going to be happy about this is September 8th is week one of football and I know there are probably some Baseball fans who don't like the NFL but as a as a super fan of the Houston Texans um I I don't I don't pick favorites it's like it's like a parent um which some parents do pick favorites but um I love the Texans the Astros and the rockets all the same um and uh even though I love them all the same the Texas play would have played at 12:00 you know they or they still do play at 12:00 on September 8th um against the Indianapolis Colts week one and then the Astros would have played at 110 against the Dbacks if that didn't get changed and then there's only an hour difference of when the two teams played and honestly as much as I love the Astros I would have watched the Texans over the Astros all day just the fact that I've watched most of the Astros games this year and there's so many baseball games there's not a lot of there's only 17 football games in the year I would have picked the Texans and all the other NFL games um over the Astros I mean so uh now that this game has been changed I get to watch the Texans and football in the afternoon that would be great and then Sunday night it's Astros baseball and I don't have to miss neither the Astros or the Texans so that's that's that's a very big positive let's get to the baseball game though from tonight 6 to3 is the final score the astr win the seven get you the Astros get to the 70 win Mark um 70 and 60 now look I remember when the Astros were 12 and 24 and there were some people saying the Astros weren't going to even get 70 wins I didn't see that a lot I saw a lot of people saying the Astros were only going to get like 75 to 80 wins um and you know they were terrible the the most Target I saw of wins was Astros fans who were you know totally thought the season was lost saying we would only reach 75 uh or 80 wins uh but I did see a couple fans saying the Astros would only win in the area of 65 to 7070 wins I thought the Astros fans on social media definitely did uh overreact a little bit honestly I was really upset with the way the Asos were playing baseball in the first 36 games I wanted them to be better I thought they were playing terrible baseball if you ask if you asked me back then I I would have told you the Astros are a terrible team um because that was true they were a terrible team but I also would have told you they are very injured and this is not the full representation of the Houston Astros because they are not healthy and back then I did I did say multiple times uh when the Astros were dealing through that in the 36 games that I don't know how much of a bounce back we see from this team but they're going to have a bounceback uh and they're going to get into the opp they're going to get themselves into the opportunity where they they have a chance to fight for a you know a postseason spot whether that's a you know fighting for the this you know the number one spot in the division or it's fighting for one of the last Wild Card spots I don't know how you know much of a bounce back this team takes but it's going to be a bounce back for this team and it's been amazing 70 and 60 now uh they are what uh 58 and they're they're they're they're 58 and uh 36 since that since that 12 and 24 start so it's been amazing all right six to3 is the final score wi goes to Hector nerus welcome back as I like to call him 50 Cent um he wears number 50 he had to give we we still don't know what he had to give up to you know to Taylor Scott to um to get that number I remember when sh Otani signed with the Dodgers he had to give uh Joe Kelly who us Asos fans do not like uh he gave he gave his wife a car or something um so I I don't know if I don't know if that number is Val has enough value to Hector neres like it did for Shani for him to get Taylor Scot a car but that should be interesting um I've always said Hector nerus not only does he wear number 50 but if if you look at it he kind of does look a little bit like 50 Cent and it's great to have him back uh he gets the win he's N9 and4 in the year uh he pitched one and one/ third he he came in and finished that sixth inning for us Kikuchi who had a good start will get to him in just a second uh he didn't give up a single hit he didn't give up a single run one strike out zero walks and what I saw a bunch uh you know of of cubs fans or Mo fans calling Hector was I guess a nickname that Cubs fans came up for him was heart attack Hector and that is not what we saw today from Hector neres and we saw that the hector nerest us Astros fans know and US Astros the hector nearest that Astros fans us Astros fans know is we don't call him he heart attack Hector sure as he had some moments where you know he has he has been bad but that's not there there have not been a lot of moments like that Hector NYS has been amazing as an Astro and he continues to do that um and went one one inning one third of an inning didn't give up a hit or a run or a walk and had a strike out gets the win 9 and4 in the year now with both the ashers and the Cubs I'm I'm happy to have him back in this B pen lost goes to Smith he's one in one on the year now he pitched one in and gave up two hits and two runs uh both home runs yaner Diaz and bregman two strikeouts zero walks save goes to Josh haer he only pitched the ninth inning to give up a walk but that was it for Josh hater didn't get a strike out though uh but this is an ores team who doesn't strike out often scoring summary the astr got on the board first when kartini hit a RBI single to Center p scored it's 1 to Zer and how about Zack disenzo double to left gamble scored kartini scored it's 3 to Z if deseno played the way he did at first base today um more often and and showed a you know good bat like he did today I want to see disenzo in this lineup more two hit day uh two RB uh made a really good play at first there was a I forgot who who was the guy who hit the ground out um I I can't I can't remember to be exact who it was but someone hit a ground out and Zack disenzo you know picked the ball up and we saw him we saw him dive uh to M make the play and and reach reach the base to get the batter out on a ground out which is not what we saw Chan Singleton to yesterday um when C cower U had that play So we if with the way we saw Denino's bat today and he's going to make some good plays at first base like we saw today I'd much rather see Den zenzo in the lineup um good day for Den zenzo all right in the fifth inning things did get bad because um uh Romeo or Romeo uice homered to Center 416 feet Eloy jnez and Rivera scored it's 3 to3 the really interesting thing about this is Bullpen pitcher who pitched in this game and gave up a hit and a walk uh Perez s s senol Perez um did catch the the Home Run ball with his hat he's done that six times this year and the funny thing is that he's a former Houston Astros pitcher he was here for a couple years and was a prospect and I don't know if we traded him or DFA him but I do remember him pitching here a couple years ago um but then the seventh inning the Astros hit two home runs Alex bregman and yard de with back-to-back shots bregman homers to left 397 ft to give the after the lead and then yaner Diaz really huge home run right here home run to left Center 455 ft 5 to three and then Jake Myers in the eighth inning with a sacrifice fly to right gamble scored disenzo to third six to three is the final score uh Altuve went over for five today um when Altuve had his last at bout struck outs looking struck out three times today for the Astros he struck out looking the ninth inning there was this fan that there's this fan that this orol fan that you know I don't know if if anybody else saw this but he did the 0 for he was he did the 0 for five he put up you know 0 for five with his hands and was standing up and was Circle he circled around like three different times and if the oils were winning this game I'd be like okay I understand you're doing that but may I remind everybody when Altuve struck out looking in the ninth inning the astras were up six to3 I mean the first thing I thought when I realized what he was really doing when I could see the 0 for five I was thinking buddy it's six to three scoreboard I mean that has to be embarrassing that the guy was doing that but I don't know I I don't know if anybody else saw that let me know if you saw that as well bregman was at third today um and went two for five he at the hom R in the seventh inning and had a single to left in the fifth inning good day for bregman after a bad day yesterday one for five for janard Diaz outside of his home run didn't have anything else today but he was the DH for the stros as kartini has been the personal catcher for us Kikuchi Jeremy Pino went one for four today single to censer in the fourth inning Victor kartini went one for two he walked twice in the second and in the sixth inning and then had an RBS single in the fourth Ben gaml went one for three scor two runs I really like what I've seen from Ben gaml so far he's been a really good bat for the Astros fourth inning single to left kartini to Second eighth inning walk uh I I really want to see Ben Gamble in the Outfield more for the Astros because his bats been very nice we saw Chas McCormack in the lineup today because they gave the day off to Jake Meyers uh who would eventually come in late in this game due to Marcio duban leaving the game due to an injury I'll get into him in just a second um but honestly if you think about it saw chass in the game at center field today if Jake Myers comes back obviously Jake in center field I'd love to see chass off the field Ben gaml and Wright and and Jake Myers in Center obviously Mauricio duban uh if he's healthy um and and left or yordon in left if he's healthy as well um and then you know disenzo at first base that's a ideal lineup for me as an Astros fan obviously I'd like to see Shake Wick come as well I don't know where I don't know where you really put him though with bregman back at third base though uh but I also like the asers to find a way to get him in the lineup more with bregman back playing Third Base um but disenzo went two for four today getting into disenzo he had a double to left in the fourth inning for two RB and in the eighth inning he reached on it infield single to third jenzo to Second gamble to Second uh even though gaml got to third I don't know why it says both were on second yeah here it is gaml safe at third on throwing error by third baseman uh y uice um duban went two for three today playing left field single to left in the third inning reached on infield single to Short Stop in the fourth inning den den zenzo to Third and then dubon made a spectacular catch um late in the game in like the seventh or eighth inning uh in left field hit the wall uh got he knocked the it knocked the wind out of him and I don't know I couldn't really tell if it it would I F Fel felt like it was either his shoulder or his neck but I mean it could have been uh his head I mean he he looked a little bit lost he could have been a concussion I don't know I mean I'm hoping duan's okay honestly to be honest with everybody uh I I'd rather it be a concussion than it be a shoulder injury because I feel like a a shoulder injury you know if it's if it's if it's you know not a you know if it's a bad shoulder injury could be more long term than a concussion uh but I hope duan's okay um but good day for duban two for three day made a great C but it knocked him out of the game and in his replacement Jake Myers brought in a run for an RBI um with a sacrifice fly so that was good and then Chas MC cormack of course dunk it up 0 for three three strikeouts um so yeah normal day for Chas McCormack all right as for pitching us Kikuchi five five and two or sorry five innings and two thirds of an inning gave it two hits three runs three walks four strikeouts the walks were a problem didn't really expect you say to go out there and get a bunch of strikeouts facing this Orioles lineup team that doesn't really strike out often um guys like from Valdez and Hunter Brown didn't pick up a lot of strikeouts in their in the two earlier games in this series neither did a big strikeout guy in Spencer arti so didn't really expect the same thing for you say in this outing but I would say the only really problem in this game was the walks yes did he give up a three-run home run but outside of that I only gave it two hits it was the Home Run and and and double so um you know another outing where you say can't get into the you know and you know get can't finish that sixth inning and really hope that's really the only thing we haven't seen from him yet and we've seen pretty much everything he's been amazing the only thing we haven't seen him do is finish the sixth inning and I think a big problem of that has been walks and maybe we can see him do it in his next start I don't know I already went over Hector neres who who replaced him and and did a good job and how about Brian BR you making a good bounce back in the eighth inning two strike didn't give up a hit or run or a walk go to see a Brady bounce back after Friday and then already went over Josh haer getting the save um so yeah great win for the Astros 6 to3 let your thoughts in the comment section and peace out go Astros
