WE KNOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO HAD TO EVACUATE ARE STAYING AT NEARBY HOTELS BUT THE LINE FIRE BEEN BURNING FOR NEARLY 4 DAYS STARTED ALONG BASELINE ROAD IN HIGHLAND HERE IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY BURNED MORE THAN 21,000 ACRES. AND UNFORTUNATELY, ONLY 3% CONTAINED. CAL FIRE SAYS THERE'S AT LEAST 1700 FIREFIGHTERS ACTIVELY WORKING THE FIRE AND MORE FROM THE STATE ARE ON THEIR WAY THE FIRE HAS FORCED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO EVACUATE LIKE THOSE LIVING IN THE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES 36,000 STRUCTURES ARE THREATENED. GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM HAS DECLARED A STATE OF EMERGENCY, THE NATIONAL GUARD IS COMING YEAR LATER TODAY TO HELP WITH SECURITY FOR THE EVACUATION AREAS WE'VE BEEN TALKING TO A LOT OF RESIDENTS, MANY ARE FALLING EVACUATION ORDERS WHILE OTHERS ARE WAITING IT OUT. >> I HAVE GREAT TRUST AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT DURING THE ELDORADO FIRE THEY CAMPED OUT MY DRIVEWAY. SO THEREFORE IT THAT AND THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A GREAT FIRE BREAKS. >> AND WE JUST HAVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT GETS DOWN HERE. WIND'S BEEN OUT IN OUR FAVOR.
