Eagles trade for Jahan Dotson and are now STACKED!

[Music] let's move ahead here to the team that's going to win the division uh Phi have EOS made a trade AJ we got a new number three receiver Washington in in a brilliant move is sending former first round pick Johan doson and a fifth round pick to the Eagles in exchange for a third round and two seven uh seventh round picks so basically uh we get Sean Watson for a third it was an extra third that we had uh gained during the draft for moving uh for moving inside the draft and so we still have a third we trade him for a third and we exchanged a uh 27ths for a fifth so Al so so this third was just playing with house money the one that that you sent like had an extra wasn't really ours like we kind of had an extra one yeah that's okay let's take it let's let's both sides here start with the Eagles it's a great fit they've been looking for a number three receiver they weren't happy obviously with Paris Campbell um um what's his name Devonte Parker someone who they liked retired uh everyone else there just didn't quite fit uh I think Roman Wilson was there Johnny Wilson yeah and then 66 guy yeah rookie from Michigan I think he he didn't work out and so they go get Jan doson a former first round pick from the commanders who let's go over to the commander side now just didn't fit their scheme we saw him ball out his second year first year first year saw about his first year and looked legit yeah like legit Talent legit route Runner all these different things um but for whatever reason did not fit with this new regime they tried to stick him in the slot they now clear up that spot for someone they drafted in Luke mcaffry mff and so he'll play the slot for that and Johan Dawson's just just a casualty of changing regimes I think we were positive on the commanders this is the first thing where it's like that's kind of stupid that's kind of dumb to trade a guy I I don't I told you this earlier pre-show when teams trade players because they don't fit the fit the new scheme I don't like that because why don't you just these these people are smart they're coordinators for like a reason they're at the they're operating at the highest level for a reason just fit make a make find a role for him then he couldn't keep you couldn't find a place for Johan Dawson on your team on the field like so so kingsberry has very clear roles for his receivers right he he has an XYZ yeah right so he has a clear slot that's going to be luke mcaffry now the spot that I think you could have just stuck him in is where dami Brown is probably going to play and that's just a field stretcher type guy the guy can fly for three speed um just they want dami Brown there for their chance and of course Terry mccan has the other spot locked up so they move on it's just I me they get a third two two for uh you know two years ago they their first becomes a third that's not great uh let me put on my Tino I hat here yeah is any is this a I saw this on Twitter right after I didn't know whether to believe it or not I know what you're gonna say this is not a IU kind of that's what that's what everyone said and then AR Mero from the 33rd team came out and said they there was discussion between those two teams the Niners at did not want Josh Dodson or Johan Dodson and so they passed on him they wanted if they weren't gonna get a first round pick which is a non-starter for the commanders they wanted Teran McClaren Terry McClaren was a non-starter for the commanders talks never went past that so have that being said I don't know why they trade Terry mcen now you know and not as opposed a couple weeks ago so I think that's just that's dead in the water people like it because auk played with Jaden Daniels in college at Arizona State so that's why people kind of want it to happen but I don't think that's a real thing yeah winners and losers is off the bat Jaden danels is his first L because he lost another L he lost a weapon I mean I mean should to see what these new guys do that Dy Brown is a guy who's also flashed not at the point not the level that John Dawson had uh and then Luke mcaffrey I mean we'll see he's third round pick I mean that's in the slot like we'll see I've heard in Camp no one can guard him so and Scary Terry is a Scary Terry for a reason oh he's going to eat mclen but Philly good good for them they clean up on so pumped about it I mean now you surround jayen Herz with like five good pass catching weapons including Barkley so Kell Moore loves his three receiver sets so he gets his third receiver now but I think a bigger deal for the Eagles AJ I don't know if you're can agree with this um it's just that for the last couple years we've enjoyed incredible Health with AJ Brown Devon Smith and hopefully this year too but if God forbid something were somewhere to go down for a couple games having Jan doson as a number two instead of Paris Campbell is like is huge who's that guy who had quz Watkins God God I want Tope of quest God he sucks he he was worse than he C never mind I'm not say anything yes he did yeah yeah yes he did I remember that catch yeah he non catch non catch anyway um yeah love it AJ any thoughts on Johan doson New Philadelphia Eagle on the Super Bowl phf Eagles well just as soon as I saw it I just felt like comfortable like okay wide receiver three yeah done is taken care of like that's been our that one jeez you doing it oh you want me to do it okay no you I mean there it is honestly I just I just felt like like okay this is finally Tak it's been it's been I would an issue yeah whether you want to call it an issue or not it's been a a uh a focus that we've needed to address it's finally being addressed it's it cost nothing essentially so I'm I'm psyched you have a pretty complete pass catching team around Jaylen Herz that's pretty good that's it's a big year for jayen Herz yeah like you got to make it work you have Dallas got it healthy you have sa Rocky obviously coming in you have Johan Dodson just to sprinkle in because you have AJ Brown and Damonte Smith good good for them the only questions on offense we got a new center and we have some questions at Right Guard other than that I don't know what else you want good luck Packers week one coming for your asses so fun man sorry I look directly at you it's going to be your fault the line on that is going back and forth it swung over to in favor of of the Eagles by well I think minus two um but it hasn't passed that three which is if if it's inside three it's basically kind of like a pick them game and it kind of hasn't pass that but if you look at like all of our lists we got the Eagles and Packers what was it like five and six or or four and five five or six and seven yeah I was thinking the only better match we could do is if you threw the Texans in there and you replace them like cuz everyone else has it Eagles at four Packers at five whatever and so this is a great way great great game for Game
