Céline Dion Reacts To The Trump Campaign Using Her Song [Applause] Selene Deon is speaking out after former president Donald Trump's campaign used her music at a recent rally saying they did not give permission and also poking a little fun at the song Choice video from the rally which took place in Boseman Montana on Friday August 9th went viral on social media many teasing the Trump campaign for the song choice and the Canadian singer also poking fun at the song choice in the clip Dion's My Heart Will Go On can be heard playing at the Trump's Campaign Plays "My Heart Will Go On" At Montana Rally [Music] rally a statement posted to seline's ex account reads today Seline deon's management team and her record label Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video recording musical performance and likeness of Seline Dion singing My Heart Will Go On at a Donald Trump JD Vance campaign rally in Montana in no way is this use authorized and Seline Deon does not endorse this or any similar use and really that song the hit song famously the theme of the film Titanic Dion joins a long list of Other Aritsts Spoke Out Against Trump Campaign Using Their Music artists who have spoken out against the Trump campaign's use of their music at different rallies among them Rihanna The Rolling Stones Neil Young Aeros Smith Steven Tyler and Adele have criticized Trump over the years for the use of their music Deon also recently made headlines as she gave a surprise performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics her first performance since 2020 the 56-year-old revealed in Céline's Battle With Stiff-Person Syndrome 2022 that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome her journey with the disease documented in her documentary I am Seline Deon Dion spoke to Access Hollywood at the film's premiere about returning to music well um if you know Céline Talks With Access Hollywood About Her Passion For Her Music me a little bit or a lot or maybe not I just want you to know that open book All My Life um I did not disappear from what I love the most singing and Performing for my fans they've been supporting me all my life it took a while because it's a rare disease and I had to go through and find a great team of doctors and to go by elimination and finding what's going on because I could not do I could not go on anymore in in that way so once they found that I was um that I had an immune disorder that's called SPS I said to myself it is it is a responsibility first of all um as a mother for my kids if and then I was thinking okay uh Rehabilitation working really hard body mind soul vocales all in it's it's like f it's constant um I wanted people to know that I did not disappear turn my back and not finish my career and I'm done and that's it no I'm still extremely passionate and I miss my fans they got me here where I am today after 40 something years of career I I don't even want to count the most important thing is this documentary telling the world why I was away what's happening to have this awareness about because I we've received so much letters of encouragement but also people with questions you have your children they've been here such a source of Joy how have they really been by your side and supported you through this difficult time they gave me a lot of support and then I said if I want to keep going and go back on stage the first thing that I have to do as a mother is for me to find out for myself what's happening if it's possible to know it took a moment I know what's going on I went right back to work and the mother and me took over because that's my priority and it's my best reward in my life my three kids that deserve to have their mom and my fans and the awareness and Irene and her team putting all this together for people to just a lot of people are having sickness and they're not well and I just want them to know that it was very difficult for me to just it w I couldn't I couldn't have come here two years ago I was not ready but I am I am ready oh trust me I'm working really hard you better be ready too thank you so much [Music]
