Cowboys Trade Rumors & Ideas Ft Najee Harris, Dameon Pierce, DK Metcalf, Alvin Kamara, Micah Parsons

[Music] Today's Show five different Dallas Cowboy TR that I have either seen had been sent to me people have asked me about whatever that have come from different media outlets now some of them I like some of them I do not so will the Cowboys end up making any trades between now and the NFL trade deadline one for yes zero for no in the comments section now for all of these will mention where the trade idea came from first up probably the best idea from our buddies over at bleach report they suggested Damien Pierce to Dallas not a new trade idea but I think in the past two weeks has gained some more feasibility there a 2025 sixth round pick is the proposed trade I think that's about right if the Texans were to actually move him cuz Pierce was bad in the preseason he was bad last year now he was really good in 2022 he's young enough that you can talk yourself into it was an outlier year I don't know if he's a great fit for what the Texans are trying to do on offense that's was my conversation with Jeremy chugs our Texans today host he thinks cam ACR has surpassed him there's other guys there I I do worry that 2022 was the outlier year not 2023 and doesn't offer the same explosiveness but he was really good as a lead back last year which or in 2022 me in 2022 which you can't say about many guys on this roster it is not a surprise for Dallas to be linked to all of the running backs it's been that way for a while it's Ezekiel Elliott Rico dowle dufon plus Malik Davis and uh Dalvin cook on the practice squad you got a bunch of day day three draft picks in that fifth and sixth round it does make some sense to flip one for a running back but at this point and I'll make this point for all these guys a trade today a trade tomorrow probably isn't going to happen barring injury but a trade a month from now could very well happen so I'm approaching this more of a not necessarily today more of a at some point before the trade de deadline for all of these different ideas so will the Cowboys add a running back before that trade deadline why for yes n for no let me know in the comments section of today's show next up about trading for Naji Harris for Ezekiel Elliott yeah that's the fanid of trade idea a fifth round pick and Naji Harris come to Dallas for Ezekiel Elliott and a third round pick which is look Na's better than Ezekiel Elliott a third round pick and a fifth round pick swap is probably closer to a fourth round pick individually but you're also giving up a fifth round SEL or a third a top 100 selection when you need draft capital I don't think the Cowboys would ever do this deal because they don't want to trade Zeke I don't think Pittsburgh wants Zeke Anyway by the way name actually might want Naji Harris more to begin with and the third round pick is they just don't trade those outside of getting a premier wide receiver that's the only time they trade that high of draft capital in most cases and frankly I would not do it either I I don't think a rental of Nai Harris is worthwhile giving up that third rounder I know you get a fifth round pick back I'm going to need that third I'm going to need assets for this draft class I'm going to like I I I I am worried a if you're if you're if you're paying Dak or if you're not paying Dak you're going to need a quarterback or you're going to need to build out the rest of your roster there like all those things are giant question marks and najer is a good player but it's kind of been a four yard per carry back now that might be the offense in Pittsburgh I think he can do more but I'm not trading a third for a one-year rental of Naji Harris now Today's Show is made possible by game time game time has a new feature it's called Game Time picks it may indicat to see description of today's show oh Sports Illustrated oh you're back again Micah Parsons to the Browns because that makes sense mid-season now the Browns obviously get Micah Parsons this was the Cowboys return it is a lengthy return list didn't fit on the trade details graphic Elijah Moore okay a first TR round pick in 2025 a 2024 second round pick a 2025 second round pick and a 2025 fourth round pick now you're going Tom those years are weird right those were the listed years in the article of course that does not make sense we are past the 2024 NFL Draft so my question is that a 2025 first round pick and they meant to do a 2026 second round pick or are we doing one draft asset this year and the other three a year from now either way a Micah Parson's trade right now makes zero sense it's frankly stupid to even suggest it the Cowboys are not going to trade away Micah parsons's right now it doesn't make sense to do so they're trying to win games still trading Micah for a mystery box that that makes those draft picks worse by the way doesn't fit why would they do that why would they trade Micah for a future one that also doesn't help them get a future first this year to go get whatever they need it it just stupid it's stupid I'm sorry it's dumb to suggest it and frankly embarrassing to suggest it so let's have some fun CU this happens all the time I'm looking through the comments and I'll get triggered by something and forget that I specifically asked for for this I want you guys to have fun at my expense trigger me in the comment section with bad Cowboys trade ideas players they're getting players are getting up have some fun for me in the comments of today's show now this one from Total SP Pro Sports kind of funny because it was a Sports Illustrated response to an article that itself had already been like the copypaste AG aggregation stuff which we don't see very often that was originally from Total Pro Sports so it was like three different layers of a aggregation it's DK metf coming to to Dallas which hey you know what that's a fun Madden trade idea right well what did it cost Tom the argument was more than Devonte Adams no that's a first and a second and Jaylen Tolbert now if you trade for Tolbert you if you trade for Mecca if you don't need Tolbert that's fine like two f a first and a second it's a fun Madden trade it's an FM picks trade let's go get a fun Dynamic playmaker it's also a bad trade for Dallas look DK meaf I think is who he is I don't think he's a top 10 wide receiver in the same way the comparison of Devonte Adams is he's got two years left on his deal so I got I got to give up all those assets pay him and more importantly I don't know what my future looks like a quarterback right now as a filming I I can't trade away a first in a second and have zero competent draft assets and no quarterback doesn't make any sense even if you paid Dak it was still like I'm not trading a first and a second for a wide receiver of DK I love DK he's a great player long as aren't three cones out there on the field I don't need to pay CD lamb $35 million and then turn on and pay DK meaf what he's going to be asking for next offseason no no different receiver sure draft one sure two f a first second Tolbert no I'm not doing that one now when we get Cowboys news we will have you covered youtube.com boytv free Cowboys videos multiple times per day every single day the final trade idea from the last word on Sports was very much a coward way out suggestion namely they did not have a trade package involved for Alvin Kamar to the Cowboys just that well it makes sense because Alvin Kamar put his house up on the market in New Orleans he did that for a reason he ain't going to be back in New Orleans after the season that's not going to happen but a trade for him despite the big name doesn't intrigue me guess who's gotten worse every single year as a runner for three straight years now Alvin Kamar now he was a PPR machine last season he also caught 75 passes versus 57 passes from 2023 to 2021 and at fewer yards part of that was the offensive scheme but Kamar is not the explosive playmaker he was at his best he's not most importantly Alvin Kamar is due $1.8 million this year in what will actually be the final year of his deal they're GNA cut him he's do like 25 million on a fake it's just not going to happen Dallas is not trading for Alvin Kamar and paying him1 million almost no chance Saints want to eat some of that probably not I doubt it Feats the whole purpose right so I don't think there's any feasibility to an Alvin Kamar trade in large part because of that contract [Music]
