Lashbrook Tonight: A few showers may still be possible, mainly for coastal areas while the rest of us stay dry. Some drier air moves in tonight with the lowest humidity over northern zones. Low temperatures will range from the lower 60s to the north and the mid-to-upper 60s to the south. Sunday: As the cold front lies over the area or just to the south, most of the area will remain dry from rain except for far southern parishes where a few showers will be possible. High temperatures for the day will remain in the mid 80s under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Beyond: Deeper tropical moisture resurges back northward into Louisiana by Tuesday with higher humidity. This will increase our rain chances for showers and storms for a good portion of the new work week. High temperatures will remain below average in the lower 80s before warming by next weekend. Tracking the Tropics: Invest 91L in the Southwest Gulf has a high chance of development over the next 7 days and a tropical depression seems likely over the Western Gulf by early to mid-week. Regardless of development, this will move northward next week and bring more heavy rain to the Gulf Coast. Make sure to keep an eye on the forecast every day.
