yes and you know they're coming off a great season and the basketball team going back to the NCAA tournament but this time a year ago Northwestern was navigating through the negativity of a football hazing Scandal well much more positive vibes were flowing today in Evanston for the introduction of the Wildcats new athletic director with the band blaring the Inu fight song at wels Ryan Mark Jackson was introduced as the University's vice president of Athletics and Recreation he follows the brief but tumultuous ad tenure of Derek grag who's moving to a new strategic role in the department it must have been a heck of a sales pitch Jackson left Villanova to take the Northwestern job without ever visiting the campus like anytime you make a big decision in life right you want to gain as many facts as you possibly can and the the mission of Northwestern became really clear to me the academic profile the connection to Chicago the Big 10 this Corral of head coaches the donor base the new stadium wife she was like AR we going to go visit the campus before I was like I don't need to I've talked to enough people that said this place is just off the charts and obviously I've seen videos and and everything but it's it's actually exceeded every expectation the whole campus that that game day environment on um Saturday was really really special
