coming to development Camp I'm assuming on Monday yeah yeah be first time in LA no I uh I my agency camps in La so I I I've been there a couple years ago I went there King any of other prospects uh I don't think so no I mean for Kings fans uh who might not be familiar with your game how would you describe yourself what kind of player did the LA Kings just yeah I think uh I think I'm a kind of power forward who can drive the net and win battles um I think I have a little bit of finesse to my game as well and can stick hand in tight areas and then uh you know I think I have a really good shot that can beat the goalie for sure you were named captain of your o team midseason what was that transition like and how did you maybe grow as a leader throughout the game yeah yeah for me it's uh you know kind of doing the same things um the biggest thing that my you know GM told me was just keep playing your game and and uh you know you you'll you'll be do great and that's kind of what I did and I didn't change too much and uh you know next year I'm going to take on more of a leadership role as well and and it's uh we're going to be better next year for sure speaking of your GM when you think back to the winter Spitfires what have they meant to getting you to this moment yeah um yeah Windsor Windsor's uh treated me so well um you know the staff there the players um all the management and then you know obviously my Billet parents as well they they all you know help me a lot and and uh you know it's meant so much for me and you know kind of I was my first year there I kind of knew that's where I wanted to be and that's where I wanted to play so um you know they've helped me really helped me get to where I am today and and uh you know thanks to them for sure all yeah yeah I had a interview before the combine with uh all the management from that yeah I I kind of knew that they they kind of liked me and and they were interested so um yeah I I felt good after it and and they uh they were really nice and and uh you know I I felt welcomed before I even uh before I even really got to know him so yeah when were the nerves kicking in today as the names were sort of clicking away there around what number yeah um I think to me I didn't I wasn't too I mean I think I was nervous throughout all of it um you know never really hit me at a certain moment but uh you know for me it's just getting drafted is the biggest thing and and uh you know La is going to be such a fun place to be and uh such a great organization so I'm I'm super excited to get started with that main thing that you want to work on this summer to you know take your game to the next level yeah for me uh my skating is a big thing um that's something that that I've already started to work on and and I'm going to continue work on for sure how's it feel to be the first guy to wear that Jersey after the team released it the other day yeah this is uh I think it's one of the coolest jerseys so uh it looks super clean and and it's super nice so um it feels pretty good for sure yeah how has being on a young Windsor team the last couple years helped you get more chances get more ice time to develop yeah um you know obviously our first year we were kind of going for it um and you know I think I got a lot of ice there as well um my first year and then uh kind of last year I got my my minutes got bumped up a lot a lot more so you know kind of made me uh you know be able to play the game with more Pace throughout all three periods and uh you know I think it helped me a lot and um yeah I think I I I did well so all right yeah perfect thank you so much
