e e standers who want to hop on some of our digital platforms and track this severe storm as it's moving in right now doesn't have a tornado threat it's mainly a big Gusty wind threat with this cell that's coming in from putam County and now the gustiest winds are headed H to Hendrick County this Orange Box shows you the new severe thunderstorm watch that that does include all of Hendricks County extreme Southern Boone County mainly south of uh of Lebanon there on the north side of Brownsburg and then Northern Morgan County this would also include the airport includes Brownsburg Avon and Danville a lot of lightning on this cell and a lot of wind too in fact in Crawfordsville we had a wind gust near 68 miles hour so this thing is headed right towards Indie but especially if you live on the west side and on the South Side eventually this is where we really have to watch the storm as is coming through if you live on the North side probably going to get some rain and thunder here soon but the Gusty wind threat may just stay farther to the South let's go ahead and zoom in just a little bit on this storm as it's trying to pack a punch towards Indianapolis so you've got the new warning of course it does include all of Hendricks County so Coatsville Danville Avon planfield Brownsburg we're getting that storm right where you have the lightning is also where you have the Gusty winds I'm going to turn on the winds for you so you can kind of see what we're talking about you're going to see a lot of bright green here coming in here very shortly so let me move this just a little bit closer there's actually two pockets of wind they're starting to merge together we had two different Pockets one towards Waveland and one right over roachdale roachdale we had a big wind gust we still have more wind coming through but this leading gust of wind is headed right towards the Danville area and then eventually Avon next Brownsburg especially on the southwest side of town uh you're going to be getting a lot of this wind too north of 74 still some wind but I think the biggest wind gust would be from the Town Center Town Hall farther to the South Avon this is coming right us and planfield as well let's go ahead and zoom out just a touch and we're going to put a track on this this thing's moving by about 30 m hour so it's taking its time the wind actually being produced in the storm is much stronger than the actual speed of the storm we have a lot of humidity and we built up some heat and so those two together have really fueled this particular thunderstorm on its Journey from Northwest to Southeast so let's go ahead and put a track let's see this is just on the Gusty Wind part what we'll do we actually do this in two ways I'll show you where the Gusty wind threat is and then we'll kind of take a closer look at the whole storm and track that out but this thing is moving by about 30 m hour so go ahead and put that in so you can see some timings I'm going to expand this just a little bit we're going to put this for the next 60 minutes and I'll show you where this thing is kind of moving to I'll step to the side so you see a little bit better do Danville 345 so here just about 7 minutes is when this gust of wind is going to push right through town Brownsburg 356 Avon just before 4:00 right next to 4:00 for planfield 410 for Speedway Indianapolis downtown Indie this storm is headed towards you guys as well maybe slightly leaning toward the southwest side so more towards Lucas Oil and back south and west towards the airport but that timing will be about 4:2 is 4:30ish this storm may pick up its speed a little bit as it becomes more wind dominant but a lot of lightning on on this cell too in fact there's been a little bit of hail at times as this thing has been has pushing through something that we can kind of look at with some of the the purple showing up hail is not the primary threat but there are some pockets of at least nickel-sized hail and so that's coming down especially where they see the lightning kind of the lightning and the the hail core is really coordinate it looks like we've got a good pocket of more of that nickel-sized hail coming right down from Pittsboro headed down 74 towards Brownsburg and North Avon the wind is kind of near it and just south so the wind's kind of here just south of the big lightning strike pocket and then with this huge lightning pocket that's where we have a lot of that nickel-sized tail but big Windstorm coming through uh let's go ahead and zoom out just a little bit I want to show you kind of a larger timing of this storm not everyone's going to get the gustiest wind but we were just highlighting we think the nastiest winds coming right into Danville here in just a few moments that storm is coming right into town right now and then we'll hit Brownsburg and Avon next but if we zoom out and let's go ahead and time out this whole storm let's see my cursor there there we go so we'll get the Leading Edge and put also at 30 m per hour so I'm going outside the warning itself and we'll expand the time we'll make it go for about 60 minutes and that should get us mostly into Indianapolis I think I can move off to the side as well that might be a little bit EAS easier to read all right so once again we still have some of the same times as well but 350 for Danville so here in just uh just a moment or two uh Avon 4:00 352 for Brownsburg but Indianapolis so let's say Butler so just north of downtown about 4:15 on the West Side Speedway IMS 414 the zoo 424 uh moresville a little bit farther to the South and West just off of I70 here we are we're going to be watching this storm coming into technically Northwest side of moresville so they're at the the exit the TNA right up there I70 you guys are included but you go a little bit deeper into morisville not included at right now at this moment but I would say this is probably going to be expanded because it doesn't look like this thing is really weakening this thing has picked up in intensity if you're just joining us we've got this Windstorm that has already put up 68 m per hour winds in Crawfordsville and now that Gusty wind has now gotten into Western Hendricks County and is headed towards the west and the south side of Indianapolis you do see some timings for the north side so we've got Noblesville uh we've got Carmel believe Carmel pops right here about 407 doesn't look like the gustiest wind is headed towards Carmel so if you live in zionville Carmel Westfield Noblesville even northeast side towards the Lawrence area we're probably going to get some rain and thunder and maybe even a little bit of hail the closer you live to 465 but the Gusty wind threat the reason why the severe thunderstorm warning has been activated is coming right into uh Brownsburg and Avon right now so let's clear this one out hit okay and we'll zoom in a little bit closer so let's take a look at the storm what you're looking at is just the rainfall itself but where you've got this Sharper Edge between nothing on the radar and those bright Reds you get that tight difference that's where we're tracking that Gusty wind coming right into Danville right now a lot of lightning on the North side covering 136 and 74 right into Brownsburg lot of Gusty winds and a lot of heavy rainfall with this we're getting probably some rainfall rates closer to uh 3/4 an inch or an inch per hour doesn't mean you'll get the full in cuz this thing's moving it's moving at 30 m hour so when that wind hits you and that storm and those downpours hits you expect the thunderstorm to probably last a good at least 45 minutes this is a hefty storm coming in from the north and west here's Indianapolis you probably look off towards the West you see a mean Sky out there little bit of a shelf cloud too uh just looking at any other updates from the national Weather Service looks like the core of the Gusty wind now is fully into Hendricks County I'm going to show you that wind right now as it's coming in see those bright greens to the point it almost looks a little bit bluish really over Western portions of Hendrick County crossing the county line in from putam into hring County right there along the Leading Edge is where you sometimes have the biggest gust as it just pushes on through so Coatsville we're getting that when just about to enter Danville right now and then Avon you're going to be next right up 36 coming right into town from the west from Danville that's where that wind is charging and you go north on Ronald reag to Brownsburg we've got some lightning strikes already kind of reaching out ahead of the storm that's an indication that this is a pretty hefty storm when the Lightning's not just inside the storm itself but it's starting to really Arc I mean look at this lightning strike we actually just got a couple traders point near the creary southwest side of zville we're already starting to get some of those lightning strikes so a lot of lightning on this cell as it's coming in uh let's take just a little look at the shear itself there's not so what happens is when you get a huge gust of wind sometimes on the edge you start to rotate right now we're looking okay it's just a mainly a big gust of win from putham County from the Banbridge area coming right over the county line into Hendricks County let's go ahead and turn back there on the radar and we'll zoom out just a touch so from a wide perspective let's talk about a little bit of what we're expecting over the next couple of hours cuz this may not be the only storm we do have a level one severe risk that's the lowest risk out of five it includes pretty much 95% of Indiana so we're all included here in Central Indiana what you don't see right now is there's a cold front to our north and west just now coming through Chicago there towards valo and marville so in the next couple of hours not only will we watch this storm coming into Indie but we're also probably going to see this front get close closer I know it looks invisible right now you don't see it on the radar but we're probably going to get a couple more storms to fire up in Northern Indiana they'll be scattered there'll probably be some breaks in between and maybe one more wave will push through from the Northwest to the southeast later this evening probably not going to form anything until after 6 so for our six o'clock's newscast coming up we can show you guys different pop-ups that are likely to start forming in the meantime this is the one cell and it's this is a large cell this actually used to be a couple different cells they now merged into one and when they merged now they basically put all their winds together and now they're diving right towards Indianapolis once again this Orange Box severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Morgan County doesn't include you guys in Martinsville uh we may even get skip uh skipped completely by the storm unless maybe some of the Southern appendage could come kind of sneak through us through the north side of Martinsville but generally from about moresville to the airp Port planfield Avon Brownsburg and uh Southside Whitestown Southwest side Traders Point were included and then 465 going all the way from the northwest corner to the southwest corner so we're including IMS including the speedway uh we're also including anyone uh there on Michigan Road you're all included on the severe thunderstorm warning Lebanon Boon County mainly getting some rain if you live on the sou south side of Lebanon kind of headed north Brownsburg you're getting some lightning but the main core of the Gusty winds Central Hendrick County coming into Danville right now let's talk a little bit more about Indianapolis so we've got the skyscrapers right here we're right on the edge of the severe thunderstorm warning as soon as you get a little bit West of the zoo uh we're included in that warning it goes kind of North along meridian so west side Indianapolis we're included East Side not yet but when we're just looking at the wind which is the reason why we've activated the severe thunderstorm War we've had it activated by the National Weather Service that's the reason why this warning is even out in place so this is the latest scan so stop the movement looks like that core of the Gusty winds I'm estimating kind of offhand too uh just radar estimations I mean we're we're now about 70 mil hour maybe even a couple gusts just above that as you're coming in on the west side of Danville right now so it looks like that wind gust is just about right to the high school West uh the Community High School is right there on the West Side that's where we're getting the wind first so it looks like it's just now arriving coming in the west side and it's going to go right through downtown Danville right past the courthouse and come down 36 into Avon here in just the next couple of moments but it's this really big pocket of wind that we're now estimating near 70 mph so when we're talking 70 m per hour winds that's where you get to the point where you can start knocking out the power in fact we had some very minor power outages with some of the more thunder showers earlier today in the late morning time uh for parts of the west side of Indianapolis at least uh we had that wind storm in Bloomington a few days ago that also had some 60 to 70 m per hour winds that knocked out power so something that our news crews will keep an eye on power outages here on the West side of Indianapolis they're in hendrik County where we're getting some of those wind gusts that are now near or just slightly even above 70 mph you go up and down 39 to go past the Beasley Orchard there on the north side of Danville we're getting that wi too um Avon we're we're just next so let's go ahead and put another timing we're going to keep the wind just up so really highlights where this big pocket of wind this kind of punch of wind that's coming right through Danville right now and we'll chime that out the wind itself is 70 M hour but the core of the wind is moving 30 so we'll go ahead and time 30 miles hour out that's the warning itself and we'll put this tracker on it going right through hendu County and then I'm going to pop up a few more few more things for us all right so we got Avon 358 time right now about 350 so in just about 7 8 minutes or so the wind's going to hit us in down Town Avon but that's not to say we could get it a little bit earlier when you're there towards the west side when you're kind of in between uh the Walmart on the east side of Danville and then eventually you're coming into to Avon there at the the town hall on the west side so just a handful of minutes for Avon you go north up on Avon Avenue or Ronald Reagan we're probably right about the same north side of Avon into south side of Brownsburg another handful of minutes if you you know watch out for the lightning but if there's something out side you know it's going to blow away you got to pull it in now because these 70 mph wind guts will really kind of tear up some some folks' uh kind of patio furniture or something just sitting out there in the open 70 m per hour winds will definitely pick something like that up so coming into planfield uh about 359 about the same so we're kind of in that straight line going up Ronald Reagan Avenue or Ronald Reagan Parkway uh just the next couple minutes then we get closer to Eagle Creek and Speedway see Speedway 413 Eagle Creek we're probably about 405 410 something it's really going to pick up some of the Waves there here's Eagle Creek kind of hard to see on the map but here's Eagle Creek right here we've got some lightning now coming in from Brownsburg they're right over uh the new Kroger headed towards Aldi and then the post office on the east side that's about to cross towards Eagle Creek here in the next couple of moments here's 465 Speedway 413 uh and then IMS 417 we'll clear this out we'll take a look a little bit more of a a bigger view we can hear some Thunder here at the station and the station we're downtown WTHR is right here and we're hearing some of the Thunder that's out there so this thing this thing is noisy the downpours are really impressive the visibility drops quite a bit we got a lot of heavy rain and then the Gusty winds and even some pockets of hail speaking of the hail before we go back to just tracking looks like we've got some hail trying to be estimated there let's see if we can maybe get an estimation could have that quarter size tail you see that it says one inch so that's about quarter size tail getting some of that quarter siiz tail right there into Brownsburg here's Pittsboro right down 74 West Side of Brownsburg getting it Avon possibly getting some hail now picking up too A lot of times the hail coordinates at least very closely with the lightning a lot of those hail chunks hit together and help cause more of that uh energized particles go on the friction and you get more lightning uh with those charges more lightning right over Brownsburg coming to Claremont here soon here's Eagle Creek coming right in uh towards that sailboat Cove area and then you've got uh 56 Street going over we're about to get some of that really Gusty wind and uh some of the lighting too let's go back to the radar and we'll zoom out again get another timing on this whole storm let me see if there's any updates uh got a couple updates a couple trees down in Crawfordsville still very early because it actually still storming in Crawfordsville uh still a little bit of rain so we'll get a few more reports as they come in but let's see let's put this on a larger track just got a new scan we'll put this at 30 miles per hour so just some more of those times plane field right now of course it's right over us uh Speedway just a couple moments Brownsburg it's right over us Avon this thing is right over us Danville we are in the thick of things right now it is a gully washer you probably can't see much outside because just pouring so heavily same story now coming into Brownsburg and then we're looking towards Indie here's 465 and we're looking there towards uh windale 405 there on the West Side Rocky Ripple 407 Butler so just north of downtown 408 and duoo 410 pretty much coordinates there with downtown 410 to 412 there's the actual official for down town and Victory Field so everyone in downtown we are watching this storm that's going to be arriving here in just under 20 minutes now so 15 minutes let's say it is right on your doorstep in 20 minutes it's hitting you so if you got a chance you want to pull in a quick piece of patio furniture but watch out there's a lot of lightning out there too you don't want to mess with lightning and there's a big core of lightning on this and it's shooting out some of these lightning bolts far away from the storm so you've got to make sure you practice that safety if you've got uh different games maybe it rained earlier day you're trying to get some games in uh throughout the afternoon this is one thing where you got to start watching this storm with a lot of lightning coming through we're hearing the Thunder all across uh Central Indiana especially in around Indianapolis farther to the East and Southeast maybe you're tuning in right now from Shelbyville or Greensburg or Rushville Richmond Newcastle for example this storm overall should be taking more of a South Southeast east Southeast kind of kind of path so let's clear that one out let's put a new this will be a little bit rough there we go so we put that if this thing's moving about 30 m hour so generally there's some folks that will be able to you know get by on this and there's others I'll make that a little bit longer let's go over the next two hours there's not a lot change in this we've got heat and humidity we got a south wind it's feting it perfectly right now to be honest that muggy air that you feel outside we don't have any other storms that it's really colliding in uh with so this thing's probably just going to chug along it's kind of like a train it's hard to stop a train uh but there's Indianapolis still rough time they're close to 410 is give or take but if we're looking towards Greenwood for example just about 430 new Whitland and Whitland just after 430 Franklin maybe 440 450 uh you these times could change us slightly as this storm speed picks up by a couple miles per hour slows down and things like that just by a couple so the exact time maybe off by a couple minutes but Rushville uh probably getting closer to 5:15 or so but this thing is probably going to be going right through Indie especially downtown into the South and West after that it probably hits there on the southide towards uny coming into Franklin and Greenwood and then uh Shelbyville newal we'll get this storm next in fact we're starting to get a couple little popup showers the atmosphere is now getting ready to go it sees this thing and new cells are trying to pop up this thing's just probably going to go right through them though but then uh as you're looking there towards Shelby County we'll get it in the next hour and then Rush County maybe another hour and a half or so so we got a little bit longer to go but if if you've got a second you think hey I don't want to lose this chair I just got bought uh from Lowe's go ahead and probably bring that in on the the outdoor patio there's the Honda plant there that's just coming into to Greensburg there in uh decer County we're also going to be look there towards about probably 5:30 is or so we'll go ahead and do a wide view let's go ahead and put uh let's get this thing moving so you can see how it's been chugging along if you're just tuning in with us we had some wind gusts near 70 mph actually recorded by an anemometer there in Crawfordsville uh just looking at the radar itself it looks like we're still getting up to about 70 m per hour winds right through Danville right now Brownsburg Danville Avon we're getting the bulk of of this wind so we've got the overall severe thunderstorm war that goes until 4:15 time right now about 3:57 most likely this thing's going to be extended again so just just a heads up anyone from Green Field uh let's say East Side Post Road uh Southeast side there towards New Pal and eventually Shelbyville Greenwood U area Beach Grove Rocky Ripple this is something that we'll probably have to watch for an extension of this warning we'll goe and go back to the wind man look at that wind so when you start kind of going past the green and you're now in this blue color this is a huge core of wind here central Hendrick County now about to cross into Maran here the next few moments we've got Eagle Creek right here a lot of lightning already over the lake but this wind gust is coming right through planfield right now we've got airport right here so huge on a wind about to head towards the airport we got Speedway IMS wind coming towards us as well could be up to about 70 mes per hour and then Brownsburg a lot of lighning a lot of heavy rain big time gust of wind head towards you guys right now so so what can happen is right along the Leading Edge you can get that quick 50 to 60 mph wind gust but it looks like if you just go a little bit deeper into the cell right behind that first curtain of wind we've got this pocket right here in this blue color there in the Northeast side of Danville that is really producing some Gusty wind there near 70 uh miles per hour so that is headed right towards uh uh Lucas Oil the Raceway Park there between Brownsburg and Avon this is likely where if you live near that race park anywhere within 2 or three miles of it that's probably where the the gustiest wind is headed right towards you guys we've got Brown High School in the Middle School which on more the southwest side of Brownsburg if you live near the high school in Brownsburg home of the Bulldogs you've got some Gusty winds headed to you guys uh here in just a moment if not it's already taking place but you're getting probably the gustiest of those winds and then extends South on Avon Avenue right into right into Avon you got the whole strip on 36 Gusty winds for us too it looks like it's just come through right there at the the Target and the Walmart and you've got the Texas Roadhouse right that intersection there Gusty WIS right towards you guys and it's just chugging down 36 465 right there at the exit this is where this thing's headed next so it's headed eventually to that Kroger in Sam's Club next going down 36 to 465 got that big gust of wind headed towards you guys uh let's go a little bit farther north you're thinking hey I'm in I'm in Boon County right now I hear this thing what's going on we've got the heavy rain we've got the lightning we even got some pockets of hail too especially where you got the lightning usually those two kind of go with each other but the wind itself it could get kind of just generally windy around zionville and Whitestown and Traders uh point there towards uh the crey but mainly this is heavy rain and lightning and even some pockets of hail for you guys uh we'll take a look at that hail you're going to see it in kind of these Purple colors and pink colors it looks like the heart I wonder if I can take off let me see if I can take off the lightning for just a moment all right so what you're looking at now is the progression of some possible hail on this also the raindrops are just massive so sometimes the radar gets a little bit confused on exactly what's a Hailstone what's a raindrop I'm sure we got both but we've got hail coming in Brownsburg right now it is loud the rain is ferocious out there it's a huge downpour uh but it looks like right now that hail is starting to get closer to Eagle Creek you've got that entrance there off 56 um and just update real quick we've got a new severe thunderstorm warning let me get that latest for you all right so you see that new box this is this is a large box here's the thing this is just one huge wind gust that continues to kind of pick up in its intensity and its speed all of Indianapolis because it cuts off right there at 465 all of Indianapolis is now under a severe thunderstorm warning due to those Gusty winds I'm going to pull up the actual warning so we can kind of look through that together you're probably getting some alerts on your phone as well just going through this really quick this storm is now picking up speed we're now closer to 40 to 45 miles hour so what I'll do and that's a lot of times when these storms get really beefy and become wind dominant they can start charging even a little bit faster so we're going to update that that speed for you in just a moment when we do those tracks uh but just reading some of the source from the National Weather Service we still have up to 70 mph wind gust mainly in Hendrick County not everyone in the box is going to get the 70 mph wind but especially right there in in in East Central Hendrick County coming in from Brownsburg headed to Eagle Creek and then Speedway you're going to be next going up and down Lafayette Road that's where the wind is really coming in here shortly but anyone in this box is going to get at least some heavy rain thunder and then watch out some of us could also get some pockets of hail and maybe a little bit of wind as well uh anything else I'm just looking it of course includes Indianapolis but Shelbyville extreme south side of caramel if you hugg right there towards 465 you're included you go up to the arts district you're no longer included on on the severe thunderstorm warning we're probably going to get some rain and thunder and you're going to hear it for sure uh but Greenwood Lawrence planfield Franklin Greenfield Beach Gro Speedway moresville now all of moresville used to be kind of north towards the TNA uh there at the Travel Stop on I70 but uh the Southport Avon Whitland and new Whitland Cumberland McCordsville and Bargersville you are all now included in this new severe thunderstorm warning once again we are on our digital platforms uh if we start getting a circulation on this we'll also hop on to uh Channel 13 on the TV right now we've got some Olympic coverage going on right now so we're on our digital platforms as long as we you know we can go on as long as we want on digital uh but we're going to continue to watch this Windstorm as it comes right through downtown Indie and when you're getting 60 to 70 mph wind gust that's where you start getting the potential for some more power outages because you're starting to really get to the point where you can knock down some limbs of course trees have had their full leaves for quite a while so they just create more of a saale for the wind to catch and try to push over even more so something that we'll continue to watch uh if you live around Indianapolis I'd go ahead and start making sure you know you're seeing your phone I'm at 60% go ahead and just go ahead and charge it a little bit more I'm not saying everyone's going to lose power but just something to keep that in mind if you live farther out towards the east in greenfields got that new patio set if you want to if something's really light you may want to go ahead and bring it in because this Windstorm is just not stopping I'll go ahead and go back to radar because the greens didn't show you the the rain and that that pink was showing you some hail but look at this storm this this is a beast this has got some really good wind on it too uh looks like the storm's coming right now into the west side of Indianapolis now that the the the core of the curtain that wind C curtain there at the Leading Edge is coming right towards the airport right at the radar for a couple moments it's going to kind of look a little choppy just with the radar being actually hit itself with a lot of Gusty wind but man it is pouring right now in Brownsburg Traders Point uh gets a little bit lighter in Whitestown but it is still heavy there uh South into Avon of course we're still getting that Heavy Rain Danville we still got another huge downpour on the west side but now that huge push of wind is approaching 465 uh right now I'm going to show you just the the speed and once again this is going to look a little wonky too cuz you see right here kind of where the mouse is that's where the radar is as it's it's kind of hitting the radar right now it could just kind of make it look a little wonky but I'll go aad and put this in motion moving at 45 miles per hour huge gust of win right now Avon Brownsburg and planfield little bit lighter once you head on the other side of i7 he head to moresville Brooklyn Monrovia were included there as well uh getting that huge gusta win really centered there on 36 US 36 coming into coming into Indie this thing's just cruising right along doesn't care about all those stop lights it's coming right into downtown Indianapolis also some good wind for the north side but maybe not as strong as kind of going right to downtown downtown and South so Lucas Oil a little bit farther south you're getting towards beachgrove U of Indi that's something that we'll be watching let's go and time this out a little bit more what we'll do is we'll just time out the wind the main pocket of wind and then let's time out the whole storm so we'll kind of do this in two I'm going to pause this think in a moment all right and so we're going to update these speeds too so there's that wind core and we're going to put it let's say 45 miles per hour I'm going to make this list just a we bit longer there we go all right so let's take a look at some of these numbers uh Indianapolis 413 so here in just 5 six 78 minutes or so downtown uh we're we're getting some rain that's trying to form ahead of that main push of wind but for the actual wind itself these 70 mph wind gusts that we're tracking the these are the numbers in a moment we'll back out and just do the kind of the whole storm so when will the storm arrive this is just that really big pocket of wind that could potentially cause more power outages and also do a little bit of property damage 70 m per hour winds that's that's not slow you at least have to have 58 m per hour winds to even hit severe limits so we are well above severe limits with these 70 m per hour winds so Victory Field 412 you've got Southport 418 about the same uh for U Indy Greenwood 423 new pal just after 430 and the Sugar Creek area 433 and just to kind of go out a little bit farther let's increase this out just a bit and let's look at a couple other things let's go out for the next about hour and a half so you're going to see Greenwood 423 there's Rushville so this thing will kind of come through new palal uh 445 is kind of just estimating here's Rushville here in Rush County 506 So eventually this wind gust is headed right towards you guys now this thing May evolve a little bit in Meander but we're going to be watching it closely let's go and take this off let's do the whole storm itself all right we put that storm track this is mainly going to be the thunderstorm itself the whole mix of rain and lightning and uh wind and some pockets of hail so we'll go all the way around and push this thing out moving about 45 that'll do it so you're looking at some of those times I'll pop up a few more all right so a couple more Shelbyville 444 needam 433 Greenfield 432 the Whitland area new Whitland 4 20ish 423 is and Greenwood getting close to about 420 give or take just a little bit so this this thing this thing is packing a punch of course we're we're tracking the the wind and it looks like I'm looking at a couple other updates from National Weather Service uh just a quick report coming in from Danville High School they had a wind gust there on top of the high school science got something up there 50 mph winds for them and it looks like the core probably say just north of Danville at least downtown the high school is kind of on the west and a little bit Southwest side so they're in the north side of Danville is where we probably had the huge pocket of that wind that's showing up here on radar there's that wind there's the Leading Edge it's going to get a little bit tougher to see as it's Crossing 465 just kind of angled coming with the radar and it's so close to the radar but man these are some nasty winds 60 to 70 mph wind gust this mean it's 70 m per hour the whole time the storm is going probably estimate 30 to 40 m per hour winds the whole time and then you get these gusts that go to 60 or 70 miles per hour so let's let's take a look at the hail again too something that we got to watch usually on these storms and same thing with this one if you kind of divide the storm in two different sections a little bit the north side has a chance for a little bit more hail in the heart of the storm and kind of South is where you've got a lot of the wind and so this pink color is showing you some of the hail and this just estimating from the radar there in the west side so Speedway Claremont you got Brooklyn Heights you got a couple more folks popping up on the map uh Rocky Ripple Rocky Ripple here in just a moment they're just North uh getting off of Meridian Street we're going to be watching some of this hail come in but we've got some some hail mixing with the rain nickel to quarter sized hail right now that is uh coming right from a Speedway all up and down 465 uh you've got Lafayette Road as well we're getting some of that uh hail and wind kind of a little combo action there for us here 65 coming in from Royalton and then you go right into eventually downtown right there where you meet 38th we got a lot of pockets of some wind and and a little bit of hail too when you're looking at this hail I think I can pull it up just for a moment just estimating yeah about an inch where you have the brighter Pink So Clermont headed in a Speedway next they're right at the uh intersection with with 74 and 465 got some good hail that's coming down all around this we've got about half inch sized hail so more about nickel sized hail anywhere between dimes and nickels so still some hail but usually it's tougher to get a little bit of damage out of that usually that's a little too small once you get a quarter you really got to start to watch but then also you've got a lot of Gusty wind so sometimes we've seen smaller hail cause more damage when the wind picks it up and then drives it even faster so that's something that uh we'll have to watch as well that can really tear up some siding when you get a big combination of the both both together but here's that storm once again it looks so when we're analyzing this when you're starting to see some of the Reds break apart from one another you know you kind of got different clusters usually a bit of a sign of some weakening but it's tough right now because look where the pocket is it's right where the radar Dome is and that's kind of tough for the radar to see it just gets a little bit complicated right next to the radar when the storm is hitting the Dome so little bit tough to see but we're just watching this downpour come right through downtown Indie all around 465 but that gust is really GNA be on the south side of Indie and it's now hitting the west side of Indy you go back off towards the West Crawfordsville we're finally getting a little bit of a break there in Montgomery County putham County we're now just talking about some light rain there towards uh Green Castle and still getting some of that light rain but the downpour will be ending here shortly in Brownsburg we still got another probably 10 to 15 minutes to go Avon another probably 20 minutes to go of the downpour then you've got maybe another 45 minutes or so with some light rain morisville we're getting on on the action uh let's go a little bit farther south towards Northern so now we're in Northern Morgan County we're there in moresville and Monrovia big downpours lot of Gusty wind too uh the wind here looks like it's just back to the north and west how's kind of hitting us is a little bit going to be a little bit weaker but maybe 50 to 60 mes prior winds that's still a lot the probably the worst wind is here right on the kind of apex of the boat if you got a boomerang and it's coming right through it's that leading point in the boomerang that's where we really got to watch and that Boomerang point is coming into speedway towards the international marketplace there off Lafayette Road uh and then right into downtown Indianapolis so that's where the biggest wind will be but right now Northern Morgan County we're also included let's let's do something let's do so I'll show you kind of a wide view and then let's do a quick County bycount look for basically the donut because that's where we're getting the storm right now the donut around Indianapolis so all the counties around Maran and then also we'll talk about Maran too but just real quick we got a nasty Storm sitting right dead center of the state with 60 to 70 mph wind gust so when you get to threat for some power outages and some wind damage that can knock down limbs very very easily something that could hit on top of your car if it's not the driveway once you start getting 70 mph wind too you can also start kind of messing with some shingles especially some loose ones that were ready to go that's something to watch a little bit of hail with this storm too although that's not the main reason why this thing is getting uh worned but we do have about nickel to up to about quarter size tail but man this is a big downpour Dead Center Indiana moving East and a little bit Southeast so east Southeast so coming right down 74 it's probably going to continue to impact us on 74 towards Shelbyville uh Greensburg will have to see maybe just north of us this might be more Rush counties storm next uh when you're looking towards Henri County Newcastle probably most of the wind will be just south of us maybe closer to the exit with I70 there at the Flying Jay and the loves but something that we'll continue to watch as it does get a little bit closer the storm seems to be growing in size just a little bit so this thing's moving about 45 mil hour to the east Southeast Richmond we'll have to see but maybe just a little bit south and west of us maybe more Abington or Brookville Lake as it marches East and the reason why we're talking about it so far east is that this thing's not really weakening uh it still has really no signs of weakening it's got a lot of warmth and humidity you know we haven't had a lot of sun today many of us have just say cloudy all day but because of the rain earlier there's a lot of humidity that this storm is just sucking up and reusing as it pushes south and east all right so here's the overall view here's kind of a look as it moves over time we's got a new cell trying to pop up there in Southwestern Morgan County that's not severe right now but something that we'll have to watch you've got a lot of cool air from the wind that's starting to gust out and it's trying to form a couple little other Pockets you've got one there northeast side of Johnson County they're just off County Line Road or so and that's going to be headed into Shelby County in a moment but we're going to be watching some of those all right so let's go zoom in and we'll do a quick county by county because you know we got folks all over possibly watching hey what about my town what about my County can't go exactly town by town all the time but let's do county by county around the dut we'll start here in Madison County Anderson Pendleton up and down 64 coming in from fisers mainly just rain for us if you live a little bit South in uh in Madison County they near Pendleton we could get some heavier rain at times maybe a little bit of lightning too I'll pop on the lightning again we turned it off earlier just to so we can see a little bit better there's some of the lighting I'm going to try to make it just a little bit smaller sometimes when it's so big it's hard to there we go okay then I'm going to move this thing all right so once again Madison County some rain maybe a little bit of thunder but the wind should stay away from us we'll let you know if that changes let's go west into Hamilton County so we're talking caramel Noblesville uh Westfield some folks headed to Ru off later today for now we've got a big time storm just toward south and west we're here in that Thunder you probably may even see some lightning strikes there as you're looking from your patio or balcony there in Caramel looking towards Indie man this thing is loud but we'll get some wind the main core of the 60 to 70 mph wind probably just stay south of uh of Hamilton County you got to cross over 465 Boon County we're in the thick of it right now especially Whit toown and south from Royalton to whitetown uh zionville you hear the thunder it's porn like crazy it's a gully washer but the wind is strong but the core is headed more towards downtown Indianapolis uh Hendrick County we have been in the mix of this thing I show you the I'll show you the wind that wind still pushing through Brownsburg but it's starting to die off a little bit in Brownsburg thank goodness cuz that wind has been horrendous Danville the wind is weakening a little bit it's still very Breezy right now and Avon and headed east once you hit uh from 36 and you hit 465 there at the exit and come into downtown Indianapolis that's where the wind is the wind has now the core of the Gusty winds has now crossed 465 it is a long Lafayette Road it is coming in downtown Indie this thing is coming right towards uh Meridian Street there on um the the northwest side the skyscrapers are just about to pick up some of that wind and a lot of lightning too it is loud the rain is horrendous this thing is heavy but in Hendrick County over the next couple of minutes we'll start to push most of the wind out in fact the new scan has really started to die off some of the wind and push it in more into Maran County so it is heavy rain right now Galore in Hendrick but man we got the brunt of it we're going to have to see here in a little bit if that wind any damage Marian County we are in the thick of it this gust of wind is right over us with the 60 to 70 mow winds right now and we've got uh a lot of lightning it is loud outside the rain is just loud itself because some of these drops are are huge I'm looking at a couple other things too uh National Weather Service because they get some more reports we have a couple power outages on the north side of Brownsburg at least I don't know about the rest of Brownsburg just at the moment if you guys uh if you want to comment and let us know depending on what you're possibly watching this if you're on on the Facebook stream for example I believe you should be able to comment but if you want to let us know what kind of power adage you guys are seeing because what we'll do is we've got Crews monitoring that chat and then if you can provide any sort of information to help us out or we can send off to the National Weather Service for you that'd be super helpful because what the National Weather Service is doing is they're trying to get as many reports as possible to say hey okay this storm is still producing 70 m per hour winds or it's not quite that strong anymore when we're actually seeing what it's doing to the ground forget what the radar is necessarily saying for a second but these are what folks are are dealing with that kind of helps them go into the decision-making process once we hit that 68 mph wind gust all of a sudden in Crawfordville the storm is just beefing up it's just been severe thunderstorm warning City for the next uh I we' been long 45 minutes or so we've been on now all right so Maring County all of us are in the thick of it it is slightly stronger right over downtown right over the skyscrapers and then South in the Southport uh you see this really sharp line now that we're starting to leave the radar we can see it a little bit better right there is where we've got a huge gust of wind coming into the U of Indy right now uh still kind of leaving the radar but at least got about 50 to 55 mph winds coming right through un Beach Grove Southport right now man that is a lot of lightning too in fact just looking at uh the hail I'll take the lightning off looks like we got some hail right over right over downtown Indie you head up Meridian Street you're headed towards uh Butler um all the way North to 465 Meridian Hills we've got some pockets of hail so watch for that uh a little bit of hail it looks like it's it's smaller and it's probably mixed with some raindrops so it's might be hard to tell if it's hailing or not if you get are getting some hail let us snow uh the radar can tell you something but what you actually see in the ground because things are melting as they do reach the ground so that kind of makes forecast a little bit tough but we do maybe have some small pockets of hail on the south side too towards UI but then North Maran University and Meridian Street man we've got a lot of uh heavy rain and some pockets of hail too let's go back to winds you're starting to see this red now pop up now that we're into the other side of the radar you're going to see the radar switch colors we're going to get this bright red here soon once we get a little bit farther away from this radar we'll have a better estimation but that wind is coming right in the south port and Greenwood you are next so that's Maring County Maring County we're we're right in the think of it we're in a washer machine right now when it comes to uh the storm you go eastbound Hancock County getting some light rain uh that Storm still at 465 and Post Road so you head East Mount cuffer and then Greenfield there off of I70 we're going to slowly get that wind to pick up and the rain to also pick up as well so just timing us out for for green GRE field let's say let's let's do the main part of the storm right in here I know we've got some green ahead of it but let's just talk about when the when the Kahuna will move in uh let's see I'm going to move try to get a couple more folks to pop up all right a lot of different things here and it's moving on me uh let's see Cumberland 426 a lot of these are are different neighborhoods so if you see your neighborhood pop up that's what you're going to see but uh new palal 432 Greenfield 439 moristown 447 Wilkinson right there about 450 so Hancock County and then Eastern Hancock you know we're we're about to get that that Gusty win too you got to get through Greenfield and we'll be watching that as well for Eastern Hancock High School of the complex right off of i7 campus but there's that storm coming from 465 let's clear this out let's go a little bit further south let's go in into Shelby County so once you leave New Pal head to Sugar Creek we got a quick downpour that's formed uh mortown and Shelbyville Shelbyville north and west side of the town we are included in the warning right now I wouldn't be surprised if this warning gets extended let's see quick update from National Weather Service the core of the strongest winds likely downtown Indianapolis and then extreme Southern Maran County so we'll come back to Shelby County in just a moment but I just want to show you the the gustiest wind is right in here where you have that sharp edge between not a lot to a whole whole bunch of rain the Gusty wind coming right over 65 there's Southport and headed eastbound uh that's where we're we're coming right into uh there that Southport uh the Walmart and then you got the Lowe's that's about right here so if you kind of know what I'm talking about Walmart and Lowe's uh right next and then Kroger's kind of just just down the streight around the corner that's where we've got the main Gusty wind coming right through that Southport area just off of 465 just south of just south of 465 uh that's where we got it this is also headed towards um you got the Lutheran High School which is about about here so if you live uh close to Lutheran High School that wind's coming through a little bit farther south there on 465 you go off of Southport Road you've got the target you've got the Meyer about right here Gusty winds push right through you guys and charging eastbound right now on East Southport Road as you head out towards uh Bunker Hill and then Greenwood we've got a big gusted wind that's coming towards us as well you've got the Park Mall there about here we're getting that Gusty wind coming right through uh you got the Greenwood municipal airport so if you live by the airport um that thing's coming right in the next minute or so and then you hit the the exit there with 465 wind pushing on through so this is where our main core I think we can draw it all right oops think I hit the wrong button there we go all right so right in here is where the gustiest wind is coming on through so Southeast Corner a 465 where you meet 74 East of Southport uh Greenwood we're getting it and then you head just on County Line Road Tower towards Franklin Township that's where the the huge gust of wind is headed right now all right so back to kind of our quick county by county I'm not being quick it's hard to get it all in um all right so zoomed out for just a quick second now let's go Shelby County so Shelby County half of us are in a warning half of us are not the core of the wind's probably going to hit more of the north side of Shelby County Sugar Creek moristown North side of Shelbyville uh they're towards Maran you got the if you live around Shelbyville municipal airport we're included in the warning you get to downtown Shelbyville we're not it's just north of um the the Pilot Travel Center there on 74 that's kind of where it cuts off there at the pilot and then you also got the the Horseshoe Indianapolis there on the northwest side of Shelbyville the track you live by the track you're included you go south and east you're not but this wind's coming through through you can see it coming in from Greenwood and that's just going to plow on through especially north side of Shelby County here within let's time that out actually I'm going to pause the radar get a better scan so here's where that wind gust is not necessarily the whole storm but the wind gust itself and we were still moving about 45 and we put a couple more folks on there there we go Sugar Creek 432 Needum at 433 mortown 446 Shelbyville 447 so uh let's say about 20 minutes for Shelbyville if you live on the northwest side close to the track maybe about 15 minutes or so that's when that that core of wind will blast on through for you guys all right so let's continue our journey now west we already kind of talked about Johnson County a little bit but we're going around the doughnut so let's go into there we go Johnson County here we are see the Border here's Maran County right at the County Line go in Southport you go south into to Greenwood good gust of wind right through Greenwood new Whitland we pretty much have pushed through Greenwood still very heavily raining it's very windy but the Leading Edge of the storm now for uh right there at 65 at County Line Road also at Southport um then you head a little bit farther south towards the Whitland exit really big gust of win for you guys Franklin we're included in the warning and we're just a hop scooping the jump out towards the West maybe about 78 minutes away for us we time out the storm uh for you guys get my mouse over let let's time this out for the rest of Johnson County moveing 45 and we'll put let me add all right so you've got uh Mount Pleasant here in just next moment or so Franklin 432 uh Fairland 438 some of these are also neighborhoods that pop up different subdivisions that also do pop up so if you see your subdivision you can see the time what we're roughly estimating the Leading Edge of the storm to come in Marietta 445 Smithland also 445 and that also starts getting us into uh Shelby County but this storm is sitting right over Johnson and and plowing on through we'll go west we'll W to Morgan County so Martinsville we've got pretty good sell for us but this is not severe just a good downpour for us you've got to go into the warning they Adams and then north towards Brooklyn Monrovia moresville we're starting to wrap things up it looks like that core of the wind and the Gusty winds and some of the hail have now mainly pushed out of Morgan County but we're still dancing around with some of these some of these scattered downpours all right so those was a quick tour let's go ahead and play the storm out again I'm going to look off hand for a second we're I'm trying to find some of the wind and we were right on the edge of sever status this storm has likely weakened just a little bit compared to when we were in Hendrick and putham County back off towards the West still looking like we're getting some estimations near 55 58 mph wind gust they're just past Greenwood and uh and Southport so kind of between 65 and 74 uh been looking at traffic too we're pretty slow on 65 there at Southport Road right along 65 we're really really slow that's the exit there with you got Meer Menards that and Target right off right off the interstate Southport Road are pretty slow most of 465 is pretty slow we're also getting pretty slow on uh where you meet 69 Fishers area along 465 northeast corner of course we got a huge downpour and it just it gets horrendous while driving sometimes you trying to figure out how fast you can get your windshield wipers to go it almost doesn't even matter um that's where we're getting some slowdowns as well looks like we're starting to get a little bit slower along 36 there's you going up uh the Pendleton Pike area we're getting some some slowdowns too right off of 65 downtown Indianapolis we've got some slowdowns but it looks like when we're looking at traffic on the west side now as the rain slowly Fades a little bit Brownsburg Avon finally getting a break we are now out of the woods from the severe weather but uh and traffic is now picking back up so that's some good news man that was that was a big dose for us too uh let's see I think we can do accumulation this isn't accumulation so they're around Brownsburg where you see the where you see that yellow you're about right there at 2 in so just estimating with the radar which what you actually get in your rain gauge at home might be a little bit different but that was a quick two incher there in uh Brownsburg you go back West towards roachdale we had a huge gust to win through you guys in loga New Market about at 2 in as well some very heavy rain coming to downtown Indianapolis this this one this one's a Soaker for us back to the radar let's see we're going to see every once in a while is this thing kind of popping up with that is it's a it's a Shear tracker so yeah we're starting to get a little bit of sheer something I have to watch looks like there's a huge gust of wind coming there at 74 right in here so when you get a huge gust of wind sometimes along the the Leading Edge you get a little little Ripple in the atmosphere a little kind of Whirlwind kind of forming so we've got a small rotation now on the extreme Southeast corner of Maran County coming into the new pal area Sugar Creek we we'll have to really watch this it looks like we've got some winds that are now picking up looks like we're rest strengthening we got a 70 m per hour wind that's going due east and so what can happen is you can kind of wrap that up if if you're playing with your kids in the bathtub and you take your your hand and you go through the water you know the little riplets on the side that can form same kind of thing happens in the atmosphere and sometimes we can turn into a ttic type of situation if that little Whirlwind that forms on the outside of the wind gust gets a little too nasty so something that will'll watch is a little bit closer view you've got new palop here you're off 74 for Pleasant View uh they're in extreme Northwestern Shelby County and Southwestern Hancock County see the County Line right in here so we've got it right kind of at the triple point with Maran Shelby in Hancock County uh New Pal this is something that we'll watch Pretty closely here back to the just the radar let's see new scan yeah so you see where the red kind of it pushes out a little bit more on this side see how the red kind of pushes this way so that wind gust just drives East and then it drives so much that it kind of tried to collapse in on itself on the on the North side so we'll watch it we'll watch it uh just chatting with the National Weather Service uh they are now adding a possible tornado tag on the severe thunderstorm warning so once once again severe thunderstorm warning for southern well for all of uh Hancock County and Northwestern Shelby County but in new tornado tag has been added what that means is we see rotation and any time this thing could try to wrap up a little bit more and possibly with a wall cloud forming possibly try to put something down if we start to see the rotation strengthen a little bit more we'll get a tornado warning and then we'll even hop on uh to channel 13 and come into to coverage with a possible tornado warning right now it's a severe thunderstorm warning with a tornado tag it's kind of the halfway to get towards tornado warning so once again nasty storm coming out of downtown Indianapolis now we're passing over 465 New Pal area this is something that we'll have to watch really closely kind of in between Sugar Creek and New Pal we let's time this out too just trying to get an update on the speed let's see just reading a couple things still up to 70 m per hour winds let's stand off to the side and there we go so it' be right in right in here is where we're watching you'll probably see the circle move in a moment but Southside of newal read anything else this thing still moving at let's see the timing 45 miles per hour okay so and there you see the little circle that just moved that's kind of an automatic feature that we have through our our radar system so let's kind of time this out this thing's moving kind of due east and let's pop up we're start we're going to get a little bit r once we do this because we're in between Sugar Creek and and newal uh but Carolton 442 some of the watch still super thunderstor morning still goes for I think seven more minutes most likely this is going to get extended moristown 450 so Northern Shelby County so we're north of Shelbyville Shelbyville we're not having to worry about this this is north of you guys towards the Maran and Fairland area moristown and uh and new we are kind of something we got to got to really watch here so I'm looking at the radar too just off to the side uh let's see so let me clear this out get a clean radar map all right so here's the storm Big Time winds pushing all across parts of Johnson County now come into to Shelby County and Hancock County right here on the Northern end right at the County Line between Hancock and Shelby county is where we've got this rotation so we've got the the lyx golf club that's on the nor Southwest side of of new palal it's this is headed to Long County Road 600 South that's just going to bypass us on the South Side you know where the the Sugar Creek um the canine ranches there on the Southeast side that's where this thing is headed where' my mouse go there we go all right s get a couple more folks in you're going to see the circle moving moment but we got rotation right outside of Carolton Fountain and then the moristown area and Freeport so coming down 52 this is where that circulation is kind of headed towards it's going to meet up with with 62 there towards Carolton and fton let's see there's 52 you see this white line circulation now Southeast side of newal the high school's High school is about here it looks like the rotation is probably just you probably see a wall cloud this thing's trying to spin just a little bit uh but with these winds surging out and trying to wrap in is where we've got probably the wall cloud and something that we'll have to really watch so kind of right in here is where we're watching I'll put on just the velocity probably get a new scan in just a second the old one was probably about here but you're probably going to see a new scan take place you got the high school so this is this is real close to where the high school is south side of newal rotation there uh still just a severe thunderstorm warning but once again it's a severe thunderstorm warning with a possible tornado tag just because you've got the surge of the red kind of see how it's pushing out and then it wraps in on itself there on the south side of newal headed towards Carolton and Fountain where we're we're right on the right on the edge of Hancock in Northern Shelby County for other folks in a Hancock Greenfield you're going to be okay from this circulation you're still going to get some wind uh Shelbyville we're going to get some wind you got the new scan coming into you're going to get some win but you don't have to worry about this tornado tag this thing is going to be more more towards Carolton and uh Fountain town there will you meet 52 in Indiana uh Indiana 9 right there coming up and down from Bowman acres and Greenfield so you just uh leave Green Field and go straight South towards fton this is where we're watching so circulation there South new palal just south of the high school and headed eastbound they're Long County Road 600 600 South here it is this is where that storm is pushing East uh real quick let's back out a little little bit show you this whole thing when you have one big bow it is just a huge gust of wind when you start getting these little notches you got to start watching for some rotation so that's once right along the county line we're going to be Crossing uh State Route 9 where it meets County Road 600 and in US 52 Southeast side of newal is where that little bit of rotation is going you're going to see that little circle pop up the map here in just a moment and kind of scoop looks like we do have a new severe thunderstorm warning let me get this to you guys let me read it so new severe thunderstorm warning you're going to see it pop up in the map in just uh in just a moment it's going to extend into Rush County the rest of Shelby County and decer County so you haven't seen it yet this is just about coming out this is going to include nstown it's going to include Rushville it's going to include uh Greensburg it will include Shelbyville the most of the rest of Shelby County about 90% of Shelby County will be covered there's the warning all right news for thunderstorm warning for extreme Southern Henry County this is uh from I70 South so you got the Flying J you continue to go south away from new Newcastle we go into Rush County going to Rushville we're in a new severe thermal morning with winds see what the update was still winds up to about 65 70 m per hour right along this Leading Edge we've got that wind you did see the circle pop off did you see that just a moment ago Let's uh look at the rotations and see there's a new scan update brought it out just Just a Touch it's good it's good but it's Still Still Wonky where you have to watch closely um that new let's see this uh includes nstown news uh new palal Flat Rock Milford Geneva Morristown troger St Paul carage Spiceland Spiceland Lewisville Fairland Milroy and Glennwood you guys are all included but this is some torrential rain and some really big time wind and we've got a little bit of rotation something that you look at the sky and be like yeah that's doesn't look good that's at us52 we're still tracking it no tornado warning right now but there's severe thunderstorm warning and they'll keep a tornado tag possible saying that this storm has got some rotation we're watching it but maybe not enough rotation to quite do something but any time it possibly could we don't see anything active right now but something you got to really keep your eye out and that's once again at 52 come in eastbound towards car Carlton and mortown Carlton's right here moristown would be kind of next let's zoom out with the wind so you're going to see this green turn into a red as goes on the other side of the radar but man these are some these are some nasty winds you guys on uh they're from Shelbyville uh to the north there towards Maran you're at the Shelbyville municipal airport you got the racetrack there uh the Horseshoe there at Shelbyville we've got a lot of wind too and then you go north along Highway nine all the way into Fountain uh that's where we're watching North parts of Shelby County for that Gusty wind you see that bright red pushing through and you kind of see how it's not as it's a almost like a shelf now like a big L it's not as tight we broaden things out with that rotation that's good but we'll keep watch right where you kind of see this L shape just a little bit of rotation on that but for now so you're thunderstorm warning with up to 60 to 70 mph winds going right through Shelby County Johnson County it's windy you guys especially east side of 65 so you head on Southport Road you go east you head uh there County Line Road you go east towards Shelbyville that's where we got a lot of that wind you looking back off towards the north and west we're finally getting a little bit better uh just some sprinkles around Brownsburg and Whitestown traders point we're doing a lot better man that was some Gusty wins if you guys can see now outside if you uh as long as these aren't too soaked if you want to go outside and let us know if you see anything there's any damage what we'll do our crews continue to watch uh in The Newsroom this live stream any reports that come in then we can also send that off to the National Weather Service and uh if you're in the thick of it also let us know can you really see how far out there I mean we've got a lot of heavy rain that's really blocking your view we had a quick two inches fall in Brownsburg for example so this storm has a lot of lightning man this thing is loud right over the county line with Shelby County and Hancock County here's Greenfield we're in the thick of it as well got a lot of heavy rain some Gusty winds but man the gustiest winds are right here you see that sharp edge between the the red you go to a tiny sliver of yellow and the green that is that is huge gust of wind coming right through route over route nine north of Shelbyville north of the racetrack here's 74 coming right out of 74 in fact it starts the weekend right at the racetrack but we're about to get hit at the racetrack for sure and then Highway 9ine All the Way North to Greenfield looks like we're just now crossing highway 9 you do see the new update coming into now with that new update with the radar moving let's go back to this velocity I'm going to take the lightning off okay this this is great news this is all kind of looking a little bit fuzzier could be a tiny bit of rotation and we'll also keep our eye on it just scan by scan but this newest scan this is this is looking a lot better this is a lot lot fuzzier this isn't one huge punch of wind wrapping on itself like we had there just south of newal really kind of just south of the the high school it was getting pretty close to us but it looks like it's weakening a little bit it's broadening out it may still be overall spinning but not quick as quickly as it was just a little bit earlier but Carolton Morristown this thing's coming coming right to us right now Gusty winds just pushing right through Shelby County here's Shelbyville right there with 74 huge gust of wind for us now the warning does extend South we are going to get some wind south of Shelbyville maybe not as strong maybe more like 35 to 50 m per hour winds I'm just kind of looking off off screen with you guys it looks like um we've got some winds there near Shelbyville and Franklin and and needam and even Edinburg we're kind of right there at the edge of the outlet mall with this warning they're in extreme Southern Johnson County got 30 to 45 mph winds but it's man this this really bright red that is pushing on through speaking of the wind we've got other threats too it's not just wind but wind is our primary thing we have had a little bit of hail mixing in and sometimes this gets tough for the radar these raindrops are massive you guys the atmosphere is warm there's a lot of water and so the drops that you would see if you're able to just catch one drop and hold it it'd be quite a bit bigger uh this time of year especially compared to to Winter or something like that but because they're so big radar gets a little bit confused on what's what's a Hailstone and what's a raindrop but we are mixing with a little bit of hail in this pink color maybe up to about nickel-sized hail hail is not the big story here it's really wind but there is a little bit of hail trying to fall at times with some of the rain if you saw some hail if you hear some of the hail let us know all those reports are super helpful what happens is they get them out in The Newsroom our crews are awesome and then they can can let me know through my ear so if there's any updates that you guys have that's super helpful but we're watching just a little bit of hail mixing with some of the very heavy rain pushing through Shelby County and Hancock County all right we are straddling up and down right now on uh on highway 9ine right through Fountain uh coming coming right through Hancock and uh and Shelby County So speaking of uh let's see Eastern Hancock High School we're getting some of the wind too but it's headed right East nstown Carthage moristown we're going to be next with some of this wind Rushville we've been talking to you guys for a while now remember we were tracking you guys when the storm was on the other side of Indie we'll probably be watching this thing about 20 minutes 15 to 20 minutes if you have a chance you got some patio furniture that you've been loving this year so far you got it once it's started getting warm this season you don't want it to blow away it's something that you just want to keep in mind or maybe uh if you have a chance pull your car into the the the garage because we've got a lot of wind probably putting down some limbs at times we've had some reports back west of Indie of some trees down some limbs down those coming in from the National Weather Service thanks to you guys sending those in so that's been super helpful but we've got some Gusty winds between 60 to 70 m per hour uh just just blowing right through Northern Shelby County right now they're towards Maran Freeport moristown uh us52 coming right here us52 this white line we're getting it you just leave Morristown and you head towards gville and Arlington next you're getting close to the county line with Rush County the wind's coming towards you guys speaking of timing let's let's go ahead and pull one up we're going to do the whole storm and then we'll take a look at where the nastiest wind was and we'll just track that so put this up all right and we'll do it's moving about 45 miles per hour pretty consistently so let's add few more folks on the map all right here's a couple more and then I'll add even more Carthage 456 With the Wind coming in nightown 458 Rushville 507 Richland 4 514 and orange 518 We'll add a few more sometimes when I do kind of the maximum you start to get also some some subdivision uh but now that we're getting a little bit more rural more kind of different township so Charlottesville 452 uh Henry 454 you're looking at Prescott 456 uh let's see Farmers 459 and riseville also 459 Homer you're included in that as well man this is thing is going to be hitting Rush County next with a lot of wind here very shortly getting close to that 5:00 time frame so once again Rushville uh probably about 415 let me take off a couple cuz it maxes out there we go Rushville 507 so here just within about 15 minutes or so Rushville you're going to be getting this this wind as it pushes on through now let's just look at the the gustiest Wind part put up the velocity man look at this bright red and also the good news is that you're getting a little bit more kind of just fuzzy you do see little notches but they're not very sharp and so this is kind of where the storm might be weakening Just a Touch still severe though still 60 m per hour winds we need to weaken all the way down to nothing it may take some time this thing may just all the way go to the Ohio State Line this thing might just all the way go through Rushville and then Brookville Lake but uh moristown Carolton getting that win uh so let's let's time this part out just the win part I'm going to remove the previous one we had let's just do that bright red really bright red color so essentially if you're in this fear thunderstorm warning you're about to get some some wind and rain and and lightning and thunder but the strongest winds are where we're going to indicate here next so just kind of looking at this blob and we're we're moving just south of D East so east Southeast 45 it's about the same 508 507 kind of give or take for Rushville and that's downtown Rushville if you live on a different side of town that'll change your timing just by a little bit but let's add in a few more folks so let's see we've got um Prescott uh gville right now we're getting it as we speak in just a few moments for uh Manila and Homer Arlington uh gouty Farmers Henderson 503 501 give or take a little bit Moscow 504 so Rush County just in the next 20 minutes this thing's going to blow through in fact this thing may be all the way in fet County headed towards Connorsville in about 30 minutes or so this this thing this thing's moving this thing's moving so Rush County all of Rush County you're in that severe thunderstorm warning right now I'm going to clear this out let's take a wide view so here's the storm this thing started in Illinois as a couple different clusters formed one nasty wind storm near Crawfordsville there in uh in Montgomery County also kind of extended South into putham County towards Green Castle and then it's just blown right through Indie Indie now we are done no more severe weather for Indianapolis with this storm something that we're also wanting to do I kind of secretly did it on the side as a second motive but you see that we got a couple more cells forming to the north there's a front that's coming through valarezo marville Crown Point up there in the region that front's going to drop South and could spark up a couple more downpours throughout the evening hour so that's something that we'll watch this evening as we get closer to the 6:00 newscast but for now this storm is what we got it looks like we got kind of this trailing end of some downpours there towards Franklin and getting close to Edinburg eventually with the outlet mall we have to watch but the Gusty wind threats right in here coming right at the County Line we Shelby County rush rush County and then the southeast corner of Hancock County so Eastern Hancock High School you guys are in the thick of it Greenfield we're in the thick of it as well uh but let's do a couple different County bycount options here for Eastern Indiana where's this thing going next so let's start let's start a little bit far north let's start in Randolph County Winchester we've got little bit of light rain we'll probably just get that all we're going to do so we're good uh you go into Delaware County there with Muny just some light rain around Ball State we're looking pretty good Henry County half of us are going to get hit hard with a lot of uh lightning and and and some wind and very heavy rain while the northern half just kind of gets drops raindrops mainly from Newcastle North is where we're going to probably get I'm going to turn on lighting for a second here we go Okay the reason I put on lightning is because where we have lightning you also get a little bit of hail right now hail is not our biggest threat we've had some hail pieces close to nickel or dime sized hail but the the larger hail we just haven't seen this is mainly a wind storm but if we zoom into Henry County you guys in Newcastle you guys you Trojans out there you go North to softare Springs and Middletown Franklin uh lanville we may get a little bit of heavier ring coming in from Pendleton but you'll probably get kind of this stuff where it's just a little bit of heavier rain uh this core of lightning though that's coming in from Fortville McCordsville uh Anderson we're kind of uh flirting with this storm just a little bit too this part where it's heavier a little bit more Stormy this is likely to come in to Newcastle here within the probably next 20 30 minutes um let's do a quick track for you guys this part necessarily this part isn't necessarily severe but man it's really stormy the windier part is just south they're closer to I70 coming into Spiceland and nstown but for Newcastle um let's estimate it out for the Trojans and put it out 45 521 let's add a couple more folks on there too all right so uh let's see we've got Wilkinson 502 we've got new Columbus 504 you may see your town pop up or Township markerville 55 Mechanicsburg 510 Greensboro 5 512 and then to get to Newcastle once again 521 Mount Summit 523 and uh Sofer Springs again 519 so here just about 20 minutes away give or take a little bit Newcastle the storm will come in we'll get some wind but we may not get the bulk of the wind so that's that's Henry County Let's uh let's go south let's or south and east I should say my home county of Wayne County from Centerville got a couple light showers coming to Centerville right now Cambridge City Abington we're just a moment away from getting a few light showers Richmond we've been kind of getting a few sprinkles nothing crazy you go north on the other side of 70 towards Webster and Fountain City we've got a couple light showers too but it looks like the windy part of the storm see that man that's sharp that's coming right towards Rushville you guys here in the next 15 minutes or so the north half got some wind but mainly a lot of lightning and very heavy rain maybe wind gust 30 40 milph we'll get this coming in shortly towards Wayne County so it's going to pick up here in just a little bit let's do the timing for Wayne County again this thing's moving about 45 miles hour let's just focus on Wing County oh that was 46 but that' be close enough does include Newcastle on this too for Henry but let's let's pop up a few more towns and let's this out there we go all right so we're looking uh Newcastle still by 517 Cambridge City 526 uh East gerant toown 529 and Hagar Town got the Tigers there 5:31 with this storm Richmond's going to be just a little bit longer for us me there we go all right so Centerville Bulldogs 539 admington 541 and then Richmond 547 so Richmond we've still got about 45 minutes to go before the storm really comes in in the meantime you're going to get some showers that gives you a chance if you want to pull something in real quick before it's going to get kind of stormy here I highly recommend to do so and we don't really have the lightning stretching out that far so it's safe to do real quick grab some stuff and and go let's go further south towards fet County man this thing is about to blow through Rushville Ju Just real quick before we go to uh fet County let me show you the wind too there's that wind there's this little Notch of wind down I70 there near Eastern Hancock but this this is this is the reason why we've got a severe thundr warning this wind still got 60 70 m per hour winds coming into Rush County Rushville here in the next 15 minutes or so that wind will pick up in a big way it's very loud Carthage you know what I'm talking about it is loud the heavy rain starting to come down uh kns toown a little bit less loud but still noisy for us too uh Shelbyville we've getting the wind and the rain this thing is this thing's heavy but Rushville this is where we're keeping our eyes next so that gust of wind will come right into town here very shortly when you're starting to get some of these 60 to 70 mph winds that's when you can start getting some power lines down at least some tree limbs knocking down a little bit and we had some of those on the other side of Indie Arlington you're probably going to get this storm here in about 10 minutes and then Rushville you'll be next Manila and Homer they're on 44 in about 10 minutes for you to I me 5 to 10 minutes or so I'm looking also really quick um looking at the uh little chat with the National Weather Service power's been knocked out 79th Street in Fall Creek there may be may be restored here shortly it looks like uh some folks going to Ru off tonight uh no longer severe for now but we'll have to watch those storms and then one other update from one of the meteorologists talking about just rush County strongest winds that's what we've been talking about too that that huge gush right in here that bright red Rushville this thing's coming right at you guys so dead center Rush County and anywhere within Rush County they're towards uh Glenwood and New Salem we're going to be in it on as well down 52 towards Salem New Salem very heavy and Gusty winds for us too all right so let's go a little bit farther east there's that wind threat right in here kind of circle that so you see how that thing's just charging East so if we go to fet County got Connorsville Spartans there Let's do let's time this out for you guys in F County all right 45 miles per hour I'll time this out again let's do think I lost my I got to redraw this sorry about that guys uh but F County will be next and we'll draw this out right that Leading Edge for you guys just mainly talking about fat County for now and let's pop up a few more folks and we'll do sorry takes just a second all right real quick I'll show you uh what's going on here believe we got a new severe thunderstorm watch coming out coming in from the Wilmington office uh so they don't necessarily control Central Indiana so we'll see if that's updated but for fet County we've got um still Richland's Rush County 515 but then once you get to Orange you're getting close uh 519 Columbia 526 Connorsville 531 Brownsville 541 and then eventually we head towards Union County we got uh Liberty 546 and bath 552 getting the state line probably getting close to six o'clock or so this gust of wind headed right into you guys but a lot of lightning with this cell and a good gust of wind coming right into Rush County and fet County uh basically we can cover Union County as well because we got a couple towns 546 for Union County that's when we'll get the storm coming through right there next to the Whitewater Memorial state park there in the North of Brookfield Lake here within the next 45 50 minutes is when that gust of wind will charge for you guys in Union County so fayet Union Rush County Rush County we're right in the thick of it uh we'll go a little bit farther south and then we'll kind of go back to the overall storm as well hopefully this helps out some folks with uh individual counties because it's hard to everyone at the same time but here's here's dear County the Gusty winds will be just generally north of Greensburg we're still included in that warning here in Greensburg but Adams towards Richland that's where we'll probably get a little bit more of that wind but let's time out some of that wind as it kind it's made it a little bit more East than this but it giv us a rough estimate you see Greensburg 524 there's the Honda plant off of 74 on the northwest side of town 516 uh oldenberg let's do that real quick we're starting to get in Southeastern Indiana but let's and I'll add a couple more but oldenberg 538 and new Point 536 so before six o'clock this thing starts to come in let's clear this out go back to a wide view normal radar again man look at this Windstorm you see that Boomerang shape too and it's just it's just been barring through Indie Crawfordsville Brownsburg Avon we all had it now we're drying out but it's now Rushville storm this is Connorsville storm Brookville Lakes storm and uh we're going to skim though skim getting close to Newcastle this thing's coming in for you guys is leaving Hancock County and starting to come into Southwestern Henry County oops um and we'll also take a closer look at this little thing here coming in Franklin uh looking North Northbound not a lot going on yet but we have a cold front sitting right here so just basically is left Lake Michigan um here's valo and marville you're kind of rid in here ahead of the front that's where we're going to get more storms to fire up over the next couple of hours so the front itself is about here is once this clears through we're done but we're not out of the woods yet because we do have that front to try to tap into now something that'll be interesting to watch watch is to to look at some of what uh temperature wise is going on for Central Indiana in fact I think I can pop some of that up here let's do that all right you can see some of the cooler air we're down to 74 but man look here's the thing even if you've cooled down we're we're warm to the South we've had a little bit more Sunshine the farther south you go but that south wind is going to help carry that warmth in now if we can keep us cool these thunderstorms that'll try to pop up to the north won't have anything to work with as much that might keep us on the weaker side of things but if that South Wind can carry this 92 and bring in some heat towards Indie then we're going to refuel the atmosphere and possibly pop out a couple more isolated strong thunderstorms later this evening generally after 6 o' is when they're really going to set to fire up but I would say 8 9 10 11:00 tonight you can tune Us in at 6 we're going to have an update on that of course we'll have our newscast 11 and that's when we're going to be watching some scattered storms across parts of Central Indiana not all of us getting one they're going to be hit or miss but we'll have to we'll have to watch those for sure back to the radar just real quick this is a new severe thunderstorm watch for southwestern Ohio but it does include Wayne County fet County Union County and then even a little bit farther south more towards Cincinnati but Franklin County uh Dearborn and Ripley counties we're also going to be included in this and then once you head to Switzerland in Ohio County so way down here towards the Ohio river is where we're also getting that severe thunderstorm watch Indianapolis is not under a watch this watch mainly came out because of this storm now if the storms start getting a little bit nastier I wouldn't be surprised if a new watch came out for Central Indiana later this evening but for now this watch came out generally for this storm so Wayne County you are included but for now it looks like the core of the wind should really hit us in FY and Union counties Rush County though Rushville let's zoom into you guys it looks like this thing is coming right in right now so you got a lot of lightning on the cell coming right into Rushville they're off of uh us52 just blowing right into town uh Arlington we've been getting it but man this thing this coming coming in a big way so we've got the high school there on the the Northeast side so maybe just another minute or two before the huge gust of wind hits us but the rain's already been falling the wind is really picking up where you see some of that red I can switch it back over to Just Wind too looks like that wind is really Rushville and South just going down uh let's say uh Main Street and eventually once you head on on Route three that's where we got that wind all the way to the county line as you get to decer County there towards uh Adams eventually Greensburg but man this is a lot of wind looking at some of this wind just off to the side again uh we may have it's still kicking still looking at some wind gusts anywhere between 60 64 so this thing's not quitting yet now may not be quite at 70 64 65 miles per hour now you're just grass my straws there on difference so still very Gusty coming right through the heart of Rush County Richland uh it's just be for you guys next you go north nightown we're in the thick of it uh Newcastle once you just get outside of town you're headed towards the interstate kind of some of that Farmland area uh south of the Walmart that's where that's where we starting to get the wind to pick up a little bit you get closer to downtown Newcastle in the high school may not be as Gusty uh we're not in the warning but the warning does pick up once you hit the Flying Jay and loves and you head to Spiceland nstown Lewisville we're all in it up and down Highway 40 from nstown right into camber City that's where this pocket is going towards so uh Lincoln Lincoln High School you'll be watching out here in camber City for this pocket of wind coming through and then more wind farther to the south in Rush County a lot of lightning too guys and speaking of the lightning Let's uh take the lightning off for a moment and put on our hail tracker looks like we've got some hail heading into Rushville right now now this isn't super large hail but the darker purple color anywhere between Li maybe up to Nickel sized hail usually just something to think hey it's hailing outside but not usually to get to damage level this pink color though that's when you start getting close to the quarter sized tail now is mixing with a lot of rain and it's hot outside so some of these hailstones might be a little bit smaller than what we're estimating here but there is a pocket of hail coming in to Rushville right now and wind and rain and a light of lightning everything's coming towards you guys right now in Rushville and the rest of Rush County uh so we watch that it looks like back off to the north maybe a tiny bit of hail trying to mix in with some of the bigger raindrops towards nightown but more south Rush County back to the radar still got a lot of good downpours this is interesting so you've got a lot of cooler air now sitting off to the north around Indie and newal and Greenwood but then that cool air is moving south and then popping up new storms it's kind of like a wedge or a little shovel just picking up stuff now this this isn't severe but man it's it's raining big time there downtown Franklin around the courthouse uh Bargersville south and east side a Bargersville we're getting some of that Heavy Rain you've got uh edinburgh's about here so it's north of the outlet mall more towards more towards Franklin is where we're getting some of that Heavy Rain up and down let's see uh 31 and 65 there right around Franklin and that extends east and the Shelbyville you're getting some of the rain s Sun from morning no longer include Shelbyville or Green Field so most of the donut and when we say donut we mean all the counties that surround Marian County a lot of the suburbs of Indianapolis other than extreme Southeastern Shelby County which we're we're not a suburb anymore we're out there uh we're no longer in a warning so that's some good news this is Eastern Indiana now this is Rush County this is fet County this is Union County even uh Wayne County Southwestern Wayne County you're included in this warning new warning coming out this goes until six o'clock uh new warning out but this does include camber City and O see if gets my parents house nope there about Stone throw away but west side of Centerville all the way west towards the goal Center Cambridge City Dublin uh they're technically included in the warning I and there's there's Centerville Richmond not in the warning right now green fork or haer Town you're not in the warning but you're getting some little bit of light rain man this storm will be just south of you guys so if you live on the south side of Centerville souths side of Cambridge City let's say you're closer to Abington or Milton you're going to be getting some heavy rain here really shortly and some Gusty winds too but the gustiest wind is headed there from Rushville and headed straight straight to Connorsville uh right now they're coming down uh 44 right from into Glennwood and then in the Spartans uh Spartan country there in Connorsville we're going to be then past Bunker Hill that's where we're going to get the the gustiest winds but man it's sitting right over us in Rushville you guys hear it probably can't see far out the window cuz man this this thing's coming down sever thunderstorm warning with the Gusty winds 60 70 mph mixing with a little bit of hail too smaller hail but still hail nonetheless a lot of heavy rain and uh this cell's still putting you know inch inch and a half rainfall rates it's a lot of water we could use the water we don't necessarily want in a severe thunderstorm but guess we have to take it however way we can get it rushland orange Columbia Laurel we're all included uh here's Brookville Lake you can see it a little bit better before the rain kind of fills in on the map but there on the North side towards Whitewater and Liberty we're included in that severe thunderstorm watch Brookville we're also in this thunderstorm watch too we'll see how this storm uh pushes south and east over time but then looking at uh Franklin County they towards uh Brookville and oldenberg eventually all the way to 74 back in 74 again 74 we've been included on 74 at some point in a warning for the past two hours been a lot in 74 74 has been rough there's that storm Rush County headed towards F County and Union County Newcastle we're getting close but the heavy stuff the real real heavy stuff will'll be closer to Interstate they're at the exit but Newcastle some rain will be picking up here shortly for you guys let's see so we got F County this all goes till the warning for Rushville goes until 5:30 the warning for Connorsville Southwest Wayne County goes until 6 and that also includes Franklin County for the Brookville area now brookville's right here just outside the warning that's going to be extended though so let's let's do another timing for this we'll map this out and do 45 miles hour and let's add some folks to this and make it just a little bit longer all right so let's see kville 5:30 you're you're just moments away from this thing coming in along 44 this thing's going to come uh right right down Third Street come right into right into downtown uh let's see also oldenberg 537 Blooming Grove 538 Brookville the town of Brookville and much of Brookville Lake probably be about the same time because it's kind of parallel with that storm we're looking about 543 bath 553 and then right there at the state line with Ohio West College Corner 556 there's that storm it's coming in big time if you guys have any reports or maybe the storms left you two hours ago anything that you have would be really helpful as we send that off to the National Weather Service what they like to do also is after storms they like to verify it a little bit more you know was this warning uh was it a good choice uh that we made and just do a lot of different studies anything that's added extra goes in the file where they can say Okay trees were down Brownsburg power outages there and Speedway things like that so any of that is really really helpful and helps us continue to study these storms and try to get better at this over time uh but here's here's the bulk of that wind and storm Rushville right in the thick of things but Connorsville we're next Liberty we're not going to be too far behind Liberty we're probably going to be about five 42 541 for the the start of the storm what we're showing is basically the Leading Edge of the really stormy part but ahead of it we do have a little bit of light rain trying to trying to fall in parts of Connorsville and Columbia IIA and even North into Richmond and Cambridge City and Centerville just a little bit too but the the the bulk of the Storm still sitting off to to the West sitting there right over Rushville taking the brunt of it now keeping our eye off toward the north and west I can get rid trying to get rid of all the boxes there we go okay so got to front to the north once we can get that through we looking a little bit better uh with this storm uh and for the night too also um been looking up a little bit of traffic stuff still have that pretty big backup on I70 on eastbound in Richmond that's not weather related that's actually been up for a while but they're from the Meyer Chester Boulevard all the way to um to the Winchester exit and then all the way to oh the east side of Richmond that last exit there at the Shelton fireworks we've been pretty slow we got an accident near uh the Shelton fireworks store so we're pretty slow on I70 that's not weather related we do have some slowdowns there around Rushville and the St Paul area on 74 that's about yeah there we go there's St Paul so close to Middle 10 we and that makes sense that's where the heaviest rain is too a little bit slower back to a little bit of the hail looks like we picked up a little bit of the hail let's let's actually so quarter size maybe even getting closer to golfball sized hail just for the hail itself let's track that some of this is a lot of heavy rain mixing with the hail so it gets a little bit harder for the radar to see but just kind of timing this out for the hail we've got orange 524 Columbia 530 533 Fairfield 545 we'll have to see but Connorsville may get lucky on the hail part we're still going to get a lot of wind but it looks like that hail core could be maybe just south of town so once you get south of oh the the Robinson's Whitewater that campground on the south side of Connorsville and you head south on uh on Highway One going out of town eventually towards uh Everton and Brookville kind of wrapping your way towards the South into Brookville Lake that's where we may see a little bit more of this hail so this is Southern parts of uh fayet County where we get a little bit of that hail but looks like we're picking up that hail Rushville and south side of Rushville right now and Rushville has been getting it all too we'll back up we'll go to normal radar again now clear things out so there's that storm it's been one good storm just pushing through the whole state and on the Wind when you're looking at looks like they're could be a little bit of that that Notch trying to form again something that we'll just have to watch let's see yeah this Boeing storm is is packing a punch there from Rush County to fet County Union County Franklin County and Northern decar County Greensburg and nor Greensburg looks like that wind's just just right over us Rushville getting that wind too and it looks like you see kind of this thing is trending a little bit farther south so I'm talking about this part right here this this bright red maybe trending a little bit farther south and east just going right down to Brookville so if you got some friends and family they been trying to get a lake day in but we've also had some rain throughout the day hasn't been the best Lake day but we've been able to we in some time this is time when you get bring the boat in there's a good wind storm and a lot of lightning too we'll throw up the lightning again let's see there yeah man it's all all surround you guys in Rushville to the north Knightstown we're getting a good pocket of of lightning and they're right at the exit for Newcastle the nstown exit the Newcastle Spiceland exit there on I70 uh Highway 40 between louville and and nights down it's loud we got a lot of thunder and lightning out there Crossing in from Henry County and eventually headed towards Wayne County with Cambridge City and Hagerstown so Cambridge City Centerville Hagerstown eventually Richmond this lightning pocket it's headed towards you guys it's coming right down Highway 40 and I70 and then this lighting pocket with more of the wind the northern pocket doesn't have as much wind there's a little bit of wind but the main wind pocket there is just to the south in Rush County with a lot of that lightning pushing towards fet County and uh and Union County once again you might be wondering we've been on digital platforms uh we've got Olympic coverage if there was a tornado warning if there was ever a notch was for for a second there near newal just south of the high school there was a situation where we had severe thunderstorm warning with a new tornado tag added right now we don't have that but uh we are still watching just a looks like get weakened again every once you get that we get one scan that kind of makes you double look but right in this this little l-shape area just maybe you might see the clouds try to rotate just a little bit so we we'll keep our eye on it mainly just that gust of wind right in here right in here headed down 52 to Brookville so uh so Connorsville Richmond Abington Liberty cambrige City Centerville this this thing's all headed towards you guys but really Connorsville to Brookville that's where that's where this this gust of wind is is really going to knock us and you start getting a little bit more hilly with some more trees there towards Metamora and Brookville of course we got Brookville Lake just you know the reservoir and uh so that can get kind of kind of wonky with a lot of the tree limbs trying to fall down too just a little bit so be on the lookout for that if you got your car parked outside you want to bring in the garage might be a good idea to do it uh Brookville if you got some of that new patio furniture you've been telling all your friends about you may want to see if you can bring it in for a moment really before the lightning comes and then the wind will start to pick up but there's a lightning got two really distinct Pockets one over Rushville coming into Connorsville next it looks like that the edge of the lightning now you may hear it in Connorsville but the edge of the lightning strikes are hitting they're at the county line between uh F County and Rush County and then you've got that other lightning pocket in Southern Henry County so what we'll do is one more timing and then we've actually got to start getting ready for um for our newscast ATS uh for newscast at 6 and so if if we start getting a circulation we'll come right back with you guys but this thing it has it looks like it's weakened a little bit this Red's a little bit uh less bright and when I'm looking at some radar scans off to the side too I'm at I'm at 50 55 to maybe okay I got a 60 maybe a 61 we we've weakened a little bit but this thing's headed more towards towards Brookville uh South End of Brookville Lake so the actual city of Brookville that's where this wind is coming towards you guys luing Grove Laurel Metamora Columbia orange orange we're right in it right now and Rushville right in it too but Wayne County this is more going to be south of 70 so we're going to kind of nicked with the part of the nasy part of the storm for Centerville and cambrid City and Abington and Richmond you go north of 70 you're probably mostly going to be fine getting a little bit lightning around Central in your county there towards new New Castle but this this is the main bulk headed into Connorsville and and and Brookville so let's go ahead and go back to radar and so what we'll do for the rest of this evening is of course we'll track this until it's it's out of the state and then we'll be tracking some of these cells uh here in the weather center we'll have updates at 6 for how these storms are uh evolving and firing and we'll let you know where different storms are coming up next now through the evening if we do get some more severe thunderstorm warnings that you know these storms that are looking pretty nasty we'll hop on and we'll give you guys updates if we get a tornado warning which that chance is low we had that tornado tag there for a while Chan is low overall then of course we'll hop on uh to channel 13 and we'll break into some of the Olympic coverage but we appreciate you guys tuning in with us thanks for walking through the storms with us as well thank you for all your guys' reports we continue to look through those uh my crew has been awesome looking at some of those those comments you guys really help out we send some stuff to the national weather Service as well so we really appreciate your guys' help nasty storm we got a severe thunderstorm watch for Southeastern Indiana this Windstorm this Boomerang of a windstorm continues to push through Rushville Connorsville and Brookville Lake stay weather aware the rest of this evening and we'll watch it eventually leave the state here closer to about 6: to 6:30 we appreciate your time make sure you keep it here keep it local and as always we'll keep you advised
