The Paralympics starts next week and one swimmers athletic dreams have already come true. And now with her dreams of becoming a mother, also realized it's time to mix the two to show her daughter just how much she can really do. Best job in the house right here. This is what we're here for. Here we go. Good. 2024 is the year of learning how to make a crepe with a kid. Now, we're kind of thinking what is the mom thing? What is the dad thing? Right? Like what are the traditions? I think my mom thing I wanna do is I want Charlotte to grow up and be like my mom always made these amazing crepes. I have no idea how to make a creepy. So I will let you know how this goes when Mallory Wegman puts her mind to something. It usually happens and it just goes to show what perseverance can do as Mallory Wegman will bring it home and claim the gold. I'm Mallory Wegman. I'm a Paralympic swimmer for team USA and I am a proud Minnesotan. I'm a new mom. My daughter is the light of our world. My husband and I fought for a very long time to get pregnant. We went through an infertility journey and now having Charlotte in this world, it makes everything so much more special. I get to come home to baby girl every day and everything just slows down and it's just her and I sitting on the floor play time and reading books and taking that time as a mom to just kind of go back to what matters most because they come to the wall who will get it, it will be Wegman and a Paralympic record. I really want to remind people that our identities aren't and or I'm not or when it comes to, am I a mother or an athlete? I'm a mother and an athlete and an athlete and a mother. I can go to the pool and train. I can travel, I can chase these dreams and this career that I've worked so hard to build and I can also be an amazing mom. Love that. Now, the Paralympics start a week from today and on Friday, August 30 if you can catch the games in prime time right here on the center.
