Celtic Rangers are used to battling on the pitch but they look to set to battle off the pitch as Scott McKenna reveals he's open 10 spfl return and realistically there's only two teams that want him and if you look back at January these are the exact two teams that wanted Scott McKenna so we'll look at Scott mcc's Stats today and see what he's been doing of course n forest and um that half a season last season at Copenhagen but he is 27 he would be 28 in November of course is at the Euros he's a decent Center back but I don't want to pretend that you know he's a step above I mean I I look at I look at Defenders at Rangers and Celtic I think is Scott McKenna walking into both teams is he better than Liam scales I mean I'd say I'd say edges it I don't think there's the the mega Gap that some people in this comment section might think is he better than the rocki and lagab beela well they don't really look like they're going to play any more games for Celtic so yeah I mean he going to probably be sold on but I wouldn't be surprised we in and Leon King and then you've got all these youngsters and new signings that Rangers are already bringing in on top of it so I think if mcken was to come to Rangers there's going to have to be a lot of players that leave to make that happen but in terms of his career of course he spent six years at aberin 91 appearances and grabbed himself five goals he spent a few seasons on loan at air United Alo athletic and then back to air United of course what we know for him is the the move to Nottingham Forest where he played 94 games rogering three goals rogering registering rogering H then he went to Copenhagen last season of course for the second half of the year and played 143 games so I mean that's good experience getting you know Premier League football and also playing for a club the size of Copenhagen and just in terms of his International stats of course the guys played 35 times for Scotland I mean that's that's an insane am that's an insane of amount of caps for a guy that's you know not particularly fantastic there I say um but I don't think the center back position is a position that we've been particularly blessed with so to speak but if we're looking at you know he's actually the years he made the most caps for Scotland was the first year he played it's a we bit it's a we bit bizarre and he and he scored one of his first goals scored his first goal for Scotland on the 8th of June 2022 at hamen against Armenia um individually got not and Forest player the season 2021-22 and he won the playoffs with them in that same season so you mean he's had a decent career and I don't think coming back to Scotland and playing for one of the old firm would make it an absolute disaster for the guy I mean could he play more for more years in the Premier League I I do genuinely think he could but here we're talking about the reality here and the reality is Celtic Rangers are interested he says he's open to it but apparently he's only telling the Hoops that he's open to it so brandan Rogers had missed on a big money bid for the defender during his first in at parkhead but could now get his man for three so yeah Brendan Rogers obviously once admired Scott McKenna but million years ago in terms of Scott McKenna's deal and how long as he got left on his contract a quickly look over to transfer market tells us refills to us that he is actually um a contract right here right now so he would actually be it would be it would actually be on a three I mean I think that's a noer bringing someone of like Scott McKenna's quality into the club I I genuinely think that um his contract runs out on the 30th of June 2024 unless transfer markets not up there at that but then if he's on loan how I'm going to assume he's at a contract free or whatever doesn't I mean his market value has dipped by a million but he did peek it 10 million 9 million is obviously ridiculous but the fact that the Daily records posting about the H Brendon Rogers could be getting him for free tells you pretty much all you need to know um yeah and it says he will be available as a free agent the 27y old admits he is more more than open to offers ask i' be interested finally bagging move to Celtic McKenna said to be honest I'm open to anything I would never rule anything out um he says yeah when it comes to both sides of Glasgow that's just natural when you've got the teams the size of Celtic and Rangers of course i' want to play there so he won't be returning to Aberdine looks like he'll be going to one side of Glasgow I think he would fit into both teams but I do agree with comments that say he he's not as good as what some people are making it to be he's a good he's a good Defender don't get me wrong it's better to have him than not but I don't think if Ranger signed this guy I'd be pretending that like our defense of frees have been saved cuz I do think he's got a mistake in him just like most of the Scotland back line
