and Caitlyn Clark about the WNBA Rookie of the Year award in that chase and how they both feel and it's crazy because they both basically same say the same thing but I don't know that I believe one or one just realizes that it's completely over the other one knows she should win it I think she wants to win it but I think she's modest and I'm talking about Caitlyn Clark but they both have come out made a statement about the Rookie of the Year I think Angel's statement feels very I'm waving the White Flag I know it's over no matter what but I do think she wanted it because you don't stay in a game that lopsided to try to stat pad your double doubles if it doesn't mean something to you and the other thing we need to recognize is the Chicago Skies playoff chances have crashed and burnt as Angel ree has pushed to win this rookie of the year or try to they're 11 and 20 and 2 and8 in the last 10 games and the fever they're balling out s and three officially 500 and I mean now they actually hold the tiebreaker over the Phoenix Mercury Britney Griner and Diana terasi how's that for a reality check Diana terasi just wondering uh so and I saw this and wanted to show it because I saw this on X and was like whoa Angel Reese fans uh are starting to disappear look at this who you got for Rookie of the Year like for Caitlyn Clark retweet for Angel Reese and hell this is embarrassing 32,000 likes to 191 retweets I wonder what this would have looked like prior to last night I mean I look I think this thing's been over I'm going to tell you how long I think it's been an absolute wrap this Rookie of the Year thing has been absolutely over since the day that Team USA and Cheryl reev passed on Caitlyn Clark for the Olympic team remember she told Christy sides they just woke a monster and they did and they did the team has reflected it her play has reflected along with Kelsey Mitchell and it's clear this is a different team too with Lexi Hall in the lineup I mean here we are that's the final final fin stats hell it's not close it's not even uh it's not close I don't know what we're talking about here you're talking about a rebounder versus obviously an allaround what looks like an allaround alltime player right so it's crazy this guy actually brings up my favorite stat kitlin Clark averaging more blocks tells you all you need to know about Reese's defensive play I I agree I still find it hilarious I said it yesterday I say it nearly every day that she's got more blocks than Angel Reese so Angel made these comments right here yeah I mean I don't think anybody we don't either care about the hookie year but you guys I think you guys have made it a big thing um we haven't um so I just continue just to work within our team we both want to win um we've been wanting to win and that's what we've done in our collegiate career we played against each each other in two numerous last last year and the year before um in the March Madness Tournament so we're just trying to do whatever it takes to win that's that's what's important right now okay now she said we don't either care about the Rookie of the Year I think you guys have made it a big thing look everything about her personality tells me that that's this is all she cares about and she got called out about it too the the fans let her have it over these comments says the girl that when nine out of 10 starters went out stayed in to pad them stats I can't argue with that must be why she was still in the game down 25 when every other starter was out don't change that tune now I mean honestly honestly don't change it breaking news someone who won't win the Rookie of the Year says they don't care about the Rookie of the Year I think that's a true statement here you go sounds like she put up the White Flag she knows it's an absolute RP after last night still an attention seeker nothing has changed her and CeCe do not have the same treatment on the court yeah I mean I did a that out so Caitlin Clark also made a statement about this now I will tell you she says she doesn't think about individual Awards but I think she uses it for motivation in a different way and she knows how to ch ch Channel it but I think she does care about winning more and her team more you don't wake up and think about individual Awards I know that's what all of you think we do I know we don't like that's what everybody wants to make this about but like we both both of our teams are competing for playoff spots like that's our main focus that's a selfish thing to just care about an individual award and she would give you the same exact answer I'm sure she has given you the same exact answer so um for us like everybody can write that but our focus is on winning basketball games it's simple as that like it's winning basketball games and that was the same story for us when we were in college like if you're playing basketball to get win individual awards no matter what level you're at you're doing it wrong and that's not fun and that's not being a good teammate I keep telling you guys she talks like Tom Brady remember young Tom Brady team team team win win win I don't think about individual Awards blah blah blah I mean you know I mean that's she's modest do I think she wants that trophy yeah I do in case you guys didn't hear this me and Angel would both give you the same answer you don't wake up and think about individual Awards I know that's what all of you think we do that's what everybody wants to make this about I mean honestly wow I mean this kid even says the right things I agree preach nice I mean cut it out stop being modest you are the Rookie of the Year in the MVP period I can tell you this I think after last night she's at I think she at least is number two for MVP like I thought it was a Wilson pretty and I think it probably still is but as this goes along the next few games I mean guys if she clears out the season the way she did last night oh hell that becomes a very interesting conversation all of a sudden MVP becomes a very much more interesting and I think a much closer conversation if she was to if this team makes the playoffs and she finishes like she has the last let's say really the last four games the rest of the year holy if she's going out there every night the rest of the year dropping 30 and 12 oh there's a conversation that's got to be had about MVP damn Rookie of the Year MVP wow so Angel Reese I don't believe her I think she absolutely wanted that award I think it's part of her Persona and I don't know that we would have ever heard the end of it I think Caitlyn Clark wants the award but I think she'd have been like thank you I'm very happy that I won this that's great but it's not about individual Awards it's about championships that would have been the answer there tell me what you think do you believe Angel Reese doesn't care about the rookie of the year but was still in the game
