[Music] dance Fair 2015 ilco vot the manager of spinning records founder of I'm uh happy to see you we talk to a lot of top jocks but it's nice refreshing to also talk to uh one of pleasure my pleasure one of Holland's uh biggest labels uh how was dance fair for you it's great it's a good opportunity to uh uh to bring uh what spinning records and musical such publishing and a management what it is bring it to to our fan base to the music lovers of the dance music and to embrace them you know with questions and and with our artists it's a challenge for us to to bring that message what we are all about to to our public the good thing is MM dance event that's a little bit higher it's more expensive dance R for kids there's no level of age so we have a lot of uh kids who love our social media and who follow us so this is a good opportunity to be in contact directly with by spinning with with with the fan base and did dance Fair uh bring what you expected from it because I came across your stand many times and the lines were huge three four lines to the end of the room and did you find what you were looking for first and foremost it's the U the uh the awareness of spinning and and and be in contact with our fan base that's that's the most important and and this is a place we had during the dance Affair where where the producers the music lovers could ask their questions to about publishing or about management or about spinning the music team what and and let them play music uh the producers and and give them feedback you know that's very important normally they send an email and we get tons of music and uh it's hard to to give feedback by email and in this case you know they they can ask the questions we are in direct contact which makes it uh a lot easier for them and for us to explain what we are looking for and what we all about yeah I saw quintino doing doing the demo drop I saw just yeah and I did a few demos yeah it's great you know to be in contact with producers and that's that's what it's all about can you give some examples of tips uh we also have a lot of international viewers uh uh DJs producers especially producers that are uh ambitious can you give an example of an advice you give them I told the The Producers a few times over here that spinning is trying and and tending to bring always new Styles new cool music and so that's what we are looking for and don't bring records out and release records of the style which is happening now no we we have to uh we want to bring music in what might be popular in six or nine months so we want we think in advance so that's the the message what we are spreading out here and and telling to the producers listen don't make the same music what is already in the charts but try to be original that's something we are looking for and most of the time it's about the producing skills or about originality and that's something they can learn their themselves on Internet by uh analyzing you know the music what is there at the moment uh in the charge by spinning or other labels revealed the protocol or or Sony or the big labels um just check with your M the music what you make compare it to the music what is successful out there in the market and see if it if you can compete with that kind of music if it's quality the same quality if it's the same originality uh it's the same uh original sounds uh that that's so it's it's easy they can do a lot more than they know theirselves to analyze music and production what is out already there yeah and what what is coming up for spinning you're already one of the biggest labels in the world at this moment and I think col can be proud of that that scene but but what what's coming up there's I mean uhing with new new musical ways new Styles coming up future house and we call it a tropical house even still Progressive is very popular on on the big festivals and on the radio you see a more move to house and deep house what is being played on the radio that's more you know uh less BPM which makes it more easier to play on the radio so that's that's uh so you see a different uh different kind of music popular in a different uh uh festival or different radio station so it's it's more segmented and what is popular dance music in Holland is different than in the US or in the UK so again normally there was one big Trend two years ago but now it's more segmented so for us it's more challenging to bring uh to find the music and also try to promote it in the different territories or in the different genres cool so next year 2016 dance Fair you'll be back with with your stand yeah yeah we'll be back we are really we were really happy that we could do this this year and uh that it was so uh uh popular uh that's good to see you know and be in direct contact so for sure 201 we are here again and and do do the same things all right well thank you for taking time to talk to just for the record good luck with spinning I see you next year at the dance Fair
