hi it's great to see you both wow you uh have created such a or are part of such an epic season congratulations thank you thank you absolutely um so Sam you're taking over the role of AAR this season um and you're great so congrats um can you describe in a few words just how malevolent your character is this season well he's definitely capable of some malevolent things but um I think ultimately he's he's trying to do good for others which is that is his children he's just trying to protect them and so sometimes you got to be cruel to be kind haven't you well yeah I mean I don't think of him as a Villain at all um and certainly tried not to play him as a villain I don't think Joseph did in the first series either um I think there's a lot of um conflict personally within him um based on the decisions that he's made in the past um to get him where to the well who he is now as well as where he is now and so um I think he carries a lot of sort of the weight of uh his his former decisions um and it doesn't sit well with him but he's dedicated to protecting the Uruk and so he focuses on that got it thank you and morphid um as you move through um these episodes and into New Seasons and suchu what is your own personal hope in um you know embodying this iconic iconic character and um doing Justice to it in the Canon yeah um it's really fun to play a character who I have the privilege of knowing where she's going to end up and she's going to end up with her husband with a sense of Peace in Loth lauran and it's really fun to kind of feel so far away from that at this point so knowing that the journey is still huge um and it's been really fun kind of coming into a second season where already I can feel her becoming her her journey towards peace and her journey towards the level of wisdom that she will one day have um starting to happen she's learned a lot she's got more to learn and she's got more to do do you folks feel um pressured or um nervous at all in embodying these iconic characters oh yeah definitely even though I think that I think we were talking about this wouldn't like if I'm just asked to do a reading at something that that fills me with such Terror as well a wedding it's kind of it's so I think as an actor you always want to kind of do your absolute best no matter what kind of but obviously there is a Grandeur to this role that is like nothing I've ever experienced um and yeah you want to do justice to it and but I think I think to do that something I found is just becoming obsessed with the world and um I've feel so lucky that playing gladel has meant that I can just listen to the S marilan and Lord the Rings over and over again and that's my work yeah um and so yeah just being immersed in the world feels like the the best way forward kind of doing them Justice and I think even though Adar is not an original talking character I think uh he fits into the world you know pretty seamlessly and um so yeah I don't don't think I felt a pressure particularly to do it but um definitely felt like it was a pleasure and privilege to you know to be in the world and with such a great and complex character yeah a lot to play with absolutely and you folks embody the character so wonderfully thank you so much for your time and congrats thank you thank you so much
