[Music] hey guys uh welcome to the Nick Romano show I'm your host of the channel Nick Romano hope everybody's doing well this evening guys just wanted to uh hop on and make a video I just want to keep everything coming out fresh and uh hopefully keep you guys entertained I uh did a filmed an interview uh did an interview earlier with shoot the dice so hopefully uh that'll be out in a couple days but I wanted to talk about the uh the programs that I ended up getting uh uh sent to and kind of how I mess that up a bit and then I had to get sent to another place and that's where that whole uh story came from with the uh Subway Case where I robbed the store and then got put on the the probation excuse me but once I once I messed up that was it they sent me uh to rikas the judge remanded me and then he eventually let me out it was like like 50 something days I want to say uh close to 60 days cuz they reset the the court date and then they reset it one more time it was just the judge playing games with me he he knew that they were going to let me out they were saying that they were waiting for a spot and then the second the first time I went back to court the the people that were involved uh with my my case was the task uh force that task that's what they were called task and they kind of like placed people in these programs and boot camp type places like this so I remember the the guy I guess saying that they couldn't get a bed yet so I had to go back to reich's Island and that happened twice and then they finally um you know they let me out into the program and I was up there for I think in that first one almost like 13 and a half like 14 months and the the the problem was I stayed okay I had no no issues until I came home to the second part of the program and that's where the the the story uh gets a little uh a couple twists and turns cuz when I was in this place what happened was I uh I got in a little bit of trouble um with with girls here and there cuz these places were were co-ed the two places that I was in and both times the both places that I that I that I was at turned out to be I got in trouble with with with girls that's how I ended up getting kicked out of the program but what happened was the girl dated a mutual uh uh friend uh later on and it's always with a girl the drama man and this girl ended up in the program and to make a long story short but we kind of fooled around in the program and then it came out later on now the the the problem what happened was um I owed out I owed out some money at the time or I borrowed money it was I borrowed money a and then I owed out some money at the time to Joey G uh and I was in a little bit of of gambling debt and stuff like that but what happened was the girl we were kind of involved with the the the the same girl and not Joey G with with his brother with Dennis and and the these guys were all again probably some of the toughest guys on the island without a doubt so that was not good for me and I actually I I ran into him I ran into Dennis we had a he he hit me at we I was in bips and I think Dave might have been there I think it might have been Dave Ryan and he cracked me with a shot dude that was probably the worst shot I ever took in my life from a big kid uh Dennis was a big a big kid Joey was a a big kid all of them the uh brothers so and what happened was I went I went home they they left I mean he hit me with a shot I went down and my lip was kind of busted open and I I bit my he he cracked me with a good shot and I went down I I I got up you know and they I remember Dave saying he's all drunk Nick he was like leave it alone and they got in the car and left and then my friends were outside in the car and they seen them kind of pull off and then my friend came running in the store he's like what the [ __ ] what the [ __ ] he's said come on get in the car and we went back to I went back to my house with a couple of my friends and I was like what the [ __ ] I was you know I was obviously pissed off and then I called I spoke to I spoke to Joey because I was under the impression I was under the impression that the whole thing might have happened be because of the the the money that I owed out at the time so he cracks me I take a shot and then uh like the following day after I spoke with Joey he said he was yelling at me I don't know what the [ __ ] you're talking about and was going going crazy and this was like again this built up to to a whole thing kind of a little bit in the neighborhood and then uh Dennis came to my house the following day and and was ringing my bell was knocking at the door I finally I come outside and I was I was going a little crazy myself and he was I forgot who he was with who he came to my house with but he was like just calm down he was he was like Nick I came to apologize and and stuff like that he was like and we kind of talked it out and he wanted me to understand also that it had uh it had nothing to do with that whole situation it was over the girl and I got in trouble when I came home from the program they wanted to send me back because of her and and all this stuff that happened in the place that we were in and it was just a complete disaster and and when I got home once all of that stuff came out they wanted to send me back Upstate to like the the upstate part of the program so I wasn't doing that I I went back and forth with my probation officer and all this I said you know what I was really ready to to go I I was going to just do the jail time I was like this is never going to work like some of these places were just super super strict to where you know you you couldn't do certain or you couldn't date or you like I said you you couldn't like even be with a girl without permission like getting permission from like the staff and like there were all these steps so again you're dealing with young kids and that were with you know co-eds and with girls like well what did they think that that was going to happen but I I guess you know that was part of the rules and you couldn't you couldn't do any of that [ __ ] period so I ended up telling my probation officer I said uh I said I'm not going back up there this and that and he said well he said what's going to happen is you're going to have to go back in front of the judge then and he's probably going to remand you a and you you may have to the original time or they they bring back the original sentence they throw away the the probation and everything and then they bring back the initial charge on top of the violation of probation so whatever they're going to hand you some time for sure and he said well well what if I explain it to him and and you could go to a maybe a different place a different program so then we eventually I talked to my family about that I was still undecided I was up in the air because I just got out of a program like that where they sent me to and that was straight from reichers it's not like you got to go home and all of that I remember they picked me up directly from like the the courthouse and brought me in a van to Far Rockaway and I had to go to far Rockway first and that's where what the program was like the where they leave with the van and then take you up state to where you were going I was all the way up in with the first place I was in Reinbeck New York and then the second place was in Fallsburg New York that's where the second uh uh place was but like I said you didn't get to to go home and do all your stuff they they want you once they released you from jail from Rikers like right from the courthouse the the people from the the program and the van would pick you up and take you straight there so you didn't get to go home you didn't get to do nothing my mother my family would have to meet and send the stuff up like bring it up to you or or or ship it to you so that's the way it worked but but these programs were super super strict like I was saying and then eventually yeah I did make the uh decision to go to a different place and now I already did this other one I was 14 months in I was home I was on my way to the second part of the program and all this [ __ ] came up with the girl and uh with Joey G and and uh Dennis and all that other stuff and then eventually I did take the other program I went away but just to kind of again clarify now what happened with this place was very very similar unfortunately and it was with a girl again it wasn't like I messed up and and relapsed and and was getting high in the program I I really didn't I I was messing around with stuff here and there but mostly my stuff was with with with just smoking some pot and drinking and all that stuff and yeah I did other things and tried other things later on but those really weren't my issues my issues was some of the gambling and how I was robbing and doing different things in the neighborhood that was more my issue more of of a behavior issue and all of that stuff so but I took the other program now I go up to uh fosburg New York this one was the the dynamite uh uh place and the other one was the uh daytop daytop Village was the the facility and and I met a lot of good people there while I was there and and some stuff was a little out of control they had a couple fights and stuff here and there with the the bathroom really on like the low very lowkey and people would never really talk about it and if the council has found out though yeah no you got in big trouble so you had to kind of they kind of had to fight and do stuff like that on the low but the fighting was was usually an automatic like termination they would just throw you out of the program and that's it and the same thing went for uh for the girls in the program you w to had to have any contact with the girls this and that so I'm in the uh I'm in the second program the second chance I get up in uh up in uh uh dynamite in this one again is in uh fosburg New York freezing bro like super super cold I I mean I remember sing the nights walking around like as night man and you have to go check fire alarms and things like that man we were up like all the way near like monacello I was like 10 10 minutes 15 minutes away from monacell excuse me guys so it's freezing up there and all that stuff and again it was a very similar program to like the other place you had to do all your uh all your clothes and bed nice and neat and then you had to go off to whatever your job was with maintenance or if you went to school if if you had a GED then you didn't have to go to school so I eventually became a house driver for the second program which helped me along the way because you had a little bit more privilege and stuff like that but here we go again I I stayed up there for about 15 months and I met a lot of guys in that place man where we uh couple of the Russian guys like I said in one of my other videos I hooked up with uh from Brooklyn there was a couple other Italian kids from Brooklyn and then I won't mention their names but there was like three or four kids from Staten Island actually that I knew from the neighborhood and we knew Mutual uh uh people and friends so we we we kind of had our own definite click up there and we did get to play some sports and things like that and so there was some downtime but you know it was nothing like being home again you were away in a place and all of that it was a freezing you were with I forget how many how many people were probably there maybe 50 may maybe maybe even a little more and like I said girls and guys dorms and there was a bunch of people that got kicked out like that and just messing with the girls that was an automatic uh automatic uh uh termination and now I finished that part I did a whole 15 months up there and then what what would happen is similar like to the other place you go to the next step which was like your re-entry phase into uh the second part of the program and here's where I got in trouble again it ended up with being a female with being a girl and what happened was there was a woman in the program she was the director of the program a very very nice woman uh her name was Barbara uh selli I don't know if she's around or she's still there um she was a very nice woman uh we she we talked a lot she used to work with a lot of the kids uh court cases I guess she was the one that handled a lot of that the intake and stuff for for people that had court cases other people were there voluntarily not everybody was in these programs that that were sent there by Court I was and a lot of other kids were but there were there were numerous kids that were just you know put there because they have a problem or you know their parents wanted to send them away to get them on the right track so I get to the re-entry part of the program which was in Brooklyn it was on uh I forgot what what street it was on or between ow and p i I forgot what exact streets but it was Dynamite uh youth center and it was in uh Brooklyn maybe again I just can't think of where the the place was I'll find out and pull it up but it was in Brooklyn somewhere and that's where the re-entry point was I used to have to go there every day um from Staten Island and you had to stay there from like 9 to5 and then you got home it was almost like practice for a job but they still had a lot of the same rules like where you had to ask permission for certain stuff and to do certain things and what happened was I got invited to this woman Barbara on Ellie's house and again she was high up uh maybe even an assistant director or something like that she had a a big title but what happens is she asked me and this kid Rob uh uh this kid Rob he used to actually work at the car wash at tidy Auto he used to work for my friend Roco and and and mzy at the car wash so he was in in the place with me one of the kids and she asked she asked us to come over to her house and um and do some painting so we were like okay it you know it was extra money and but we weren't we weren't at a a specific job yet at that point that part came a little later too where they allowed you to work so there were like all these steps but where I always felt was very stupid was again with the the girl or the women stuff we were young guys I mean when I when I came home from that specific program I was 20 and then I turned 21 at home but I remember having my 21st birthday at home so you were a young guy and and we went to this girl's house the lady the the director of uh Barbara sonell and we're painting and her like I don't know 18 or 19y old old daughter is hitting on me all over the place like just she's flirting with me I'm like I'm looking at my friend Rob I'm like Jesus man I'm like is this girl crazy and we end up going after we were doing the the the work we end up going a like a a place to get something to eat like a Fridays or some one of these places in Applebees that were near it was near our house she lived in like M Baro or somewhere in New Jersey so we finished the job and then we ended up just us three went out to get something to eat her mother was like ahead she's flirting with me the whole time and to make a long story short I end up taking our number and that's where that went wrong because I started to hang out with her one thing led to another and we started to see each other a little bit on the side like on a regular basis and that was definitely a no no especially for the the program and all of that stuff so I was definitely not in the best situation and obviously I I made a bad decision but again it was it was with a girl it was it wasn't like I was out there getting high again and they found out I was using drugs or right there's literally both times that I ended up out of the program and and kicked out was over a girl and this specific time somebody seen her car in front of my house they knew what she drove it was like parked all the way down the street and they told on me in the program so I come into the program and the guy says uh it was uh Jimmy and and Scott Lynch well my counselor's names and they were this place in dynamite and even daytop there were some really really good people there as far as some of the counselors and stuff like that the guy in Dynamite this guy Nick Salerno was the director this guy mitro was a really nice guy man and and some of them were were uh were good good guys they came from the street the guy Nick Salerno had a little bit of a background he came from uh the city and and he dealt with some people himself he had a little bit of a a past with with some Wise Guys and stuff the director so he took a little bit of a liking especially to some of the Italian kids that that were up there and and he was he was good people but what happened was they confronted me about the whole situation and I knew what was going to happen I I I gave up I quit I just left I walked out of the program and I did regret that to an extent because I I did make a lot of friends and and I was getting to the point where I I didn't have too much longer to to get where I was needed to be to complete it but this [ __ ] with the girls man and and you know sometimes these girls and these women cause a lot of problems man just like every body else and I'm seeing a lot of that you know even going on with with some of the uh YouTube here and the mob tube as they call it so you know the story itself it ties into a little bit of what's going on and you could make a bad decision whether it's with with girls or with anything and and you know there could be a price to pay with me the the whole thing of the story was once I went in there they confronted me about it there was no way I was going back up they were looking to do the same thing they wanted to send me back Upstate maybe keep me there for a long time I was going to be embarrassed you know probably you you stay on the floor you scrub pots and pans in the kitchen for for weeks or a month or two at a time whatever whatever the punishments they used to have like specific stuff but I just wasn't going back up there to uh whoa I wasn't going back up there to uh start that whole thing over and now we we we were brought to another dilem like with with my probation officer but here's what the guy tells me now with this and it's the same thing it's with a girl so he knows I I got in trouble both times over a female so he says to me here's what I'm going to do he said I'm going to we're going to get you you're going in front of the judge anyway he said the five years is up your fiveyear probation is is maxed out on on paper so once you finish the 5 years you go back in front of the court and obviously that should be the end of it and he said you should be all right he said I'm just going to say you did both of these programs uh you know a total of 30s something months or however long I was up there for and even in the process I hate to say it or I forgot all about that when they let you go home they let you go home on like a visit and sometimes you had to bring somebody I did that in both times I fooled around with girls while I was home and then just went back to the program so I had a lot of that problem with you know with with some of these girls and again being at that age you you I mean it was very very natural obviously and then you're in places where you're not with a girl for 16 17 months at a time I I I I mean it's it was ridiculous I feel like I'm doing time now guys to be honest no I'm just kidding but uh it's it's they wanted me to go back up there I said no way and then he said I'm going to I'm going to let the judge know that you did all these programs and and you he said you should be okay I think everything will be fine so that's when I said uh to my family I was uh I told my mother I said you know what I said I'm going to go down to Florida I had people I had friends in Florida I said I'm going to go down there and I'm going to stay for a couple weeks until this uh uh court date comes up and my probation officer just he said they'll we'll you I'll give you a letter or whatever I forgot he what he told me they were going to send me the the the date and then that was it I go in front of the judge and and being that I maxed out and did the whole five years probation I didn't terminate early or nothing like that he said you should be fine so I said all right that's my plan I'm going to get uh I'm going to get out of here I'm going to head down to Florida I'm going to go relax on the beach chill in the sun enjoy myself and just chill out not get into any trouble I really didn't want to stay in Staten Island I was still running around doing different things and I just was like Staten Island was not the place to be and and Anything could happen as I was kind of saying in some of my videos where Anything could happen on any given day or you could get into some kind of trouble you weren't expecting a fight could break out somewhere there a just a million things so that was my plan I said I'm out of here I get down to Florida in January of 2000 that was exactly because I remember going to the cheetah in the city for a New Year's Eve party and that was with all my friends and then I remember my friend Joe Poma uh driving me to the airport to leave for Florida not too long after that it was a couple weeks after it was a like two weeks after New Year's I probably have flight old tickets or I keep a lot of stuff so I I I I'm curious when the exact thing was but I'm almost positive it was like the second week of January in 2000 my buddy drives me to the airport it was a snowstorm I was [ __ ] myself cuz I was never a big flyer I think I flew one time before that so I was petrified I was like the [ __ ] plane is probably going to crash I'm going to drive dead anyway so I get on the flight I get down to uh to Fort Lauderdale a girl I knew picked me up I get down to uh North Miami that's where she was at the time and it's beautiful I've never really it was my first time to Florida palm trees just Dro dead gorgeous weather I just left a snowstorm bro like like Staten Island was you know it was the dumps literally and we had dumps on Staten Island but it was literally the dumps compared to Florida so I was like I'm not going anywhere literally that's what I kind of felt in my head I was like no I planned on going back for for my uh uh completion of Probation and showing up for the court but in my head I was like I'm definitely moving down here I'm staying 150% I'm not going back to uh uh Staten Island and when I left I left that out I was working for them guys for like a year with uh uh with uh big Billy and and the guys at the uh the Springville guys at the uh the pizza place I was working with them for a little bit over a year a year in change and that's when I left I remember even telling Billy he said good luck and all of that he said I hope everything works out and and that was it I I left them guys I thanked them for everything they were really great to me the whole time I was over there and we had a million laughs in there too the guys pulling ripping phones out of the wall and there's a couple stories about them guys going crazy a little bit and there you didn't think you were going to work with them guys without there being a couple scenes here and there in the pizza place but I talk about a couple of them later on so I'm down in Florida it was the fourth day I was there the girl and me were going to a club in uh boka Raton called Club radius we we knew another girl that was a bartender there she was a friend of mine from stat Island she was going to college and all of that and we ended up going to see her and we got a little we got a little banged up we drank a little bit and uh I that was it I think we we just had some drinks and she was piss drunk there's another she she said I don't want to drive so what happened was I said all right I'll drive the uh I'll drive the car home so now I'm driving the car home and we're in a neighborhood that I I'm obviously not familiar with and I'm doing like probably like 50 and like a 30 or something and now it's like 5 in the morning and an unmarked car pulls out from like under a sign like you know hiding sitting there eating his donuts and the guy pulls out I see the lights immediately I'm like oh oh my God I was like this is not happening right there's no way that this is happening the cop pulls me over he says uh license and registration and he said he said where are you in a rush to he said you're doing 50s something and a 30 I said I apologize officer I said I I'm taking my uh my friend home I said she she had a little bit too much to drink I said and I'm not from here I said so I I apologize I said I I'm sure I was going a little fast soon as I spoke and everything and he heard my accent that was kind of it he uh he says get out of the car and then he made me do all the tests which I was kind of okay for I wasn't really bombed like I drank but it was hours earlier and then I didn't know that you can refuse the breathalyzer which iend ended up taking and it came back just a little bit over and that was the end of that he was going to lock me up now before he before he pulled me over I threw my wallet under the seat because I didn't want them to know my name and I was already thinking that I knew I was I was already forget it because I knew I was in trouble in New York and I was supposed to be going back for the the the court case the final hearing so I threw my wallet under the the seat and I told him I gave him a false name now we're halfway to we're halfway to uh the Palm Beach Gun Club to the jail and all of a sudden this cop makes a U-turn he's like on the middle of [ __ ] 95 or wherever we were but we were on like a a major road I said I'm like what the [ __ ] is this guy doing I thought he was going to pull over and then beat the [ __ ] out of me for some reason because I was from New York and I you know they they didn't sometimes like New Yorkers that much so I'm like what is this guy I'm like what the [ __ ] is this guy going to going to do he drove all the way back to the scene his partner was there checking the car and he found my license he said you want to tell me your real name now you want to start over so he the guy was in an [ __ ] he literally drove all the way back to the scene just to like prove that I was like okay you got me I was like did you really have to drive all the way back there you jerk off so now he's got my license in his hand I'm like now I'm done I just fig I just figured I'm probably not even going to get out of this at all but it was very simple they they brought me in I had a $500 automatic Bond because I was never locked up in Florida the violation of probation in New York didn't hit yet because I didn't have my final hearing yet so I was like almost like caught right in the middle so they let me go I walked out of the jail the girl had to go to her house and come back with $500 they made her call some kid to to pick her up and then she went all the way back to her house and then she came all the way back to bail me out so once she bails me out now I just had a decision to make and I started to talk to some of my friends I started to talk to rest in peace to Chris my my friend trap he was like you're [ __ ] he was like you got arrested he like they're going to violate you and then you also you have a new charge back in Florida even though it was a misdemeanor it was [ __ ] it was a DUI but it was still going to violate me up in New York and all of that so I eventually made the decision to just deal with the DUI in Florida and I stayed my mother and my family was freaking out at first but they couldn't force me to come back or whatever I said this guy's going to give me two to four years or whatever it's going to be he's going to know I was out of state I said he's going to you know throw a book at me for whatever he can just for making an [ __ ] letter to judge and it was judge renzi so I'm like what am I you know I said that was it though I I chose to stay in Florida I rolled the dice and I got myself in a little more trouble even later on the DUI did finish well that's a that's another tricky story because it was like this mailin probation I don't know what the [ __ ] Florida was doing at this time but they were all [ __ ] up with their system still and without a doubt because the DUI was like six months probation and like some suspension of the license and you had to do Mothers Against Drunk Driving all that good [ __ ] but it was I had to just send money in for probation every month and then at the end I ended up missing a hearing I didn't find out about that till way later on and I'll go into that story a little bit deeper but this is where I'm I'm going to kind of cut off with with the the once my probation just the six months ended with the DUI I I already found out like I already had the Warren out I missed the final Hearing in New York so the the Warren Squad was already going back and fought to my house in Staten Island but nothing was happening I thought that maybe they would find out being that I was on probation even the little [ __ ] probation it was misdemeanor for for the DUI I said they're probably going to find out and they didn't so I got off that probation after finishing the six months I still had like a suspension of the license I think that was for a year and I had to do some of the other stuff to eventually get my license back you had to complete that those steps but that's where where I'm going to kind of leave it guys and then later on I'm going to get into more Florida stories cuz it starts to take a turn a little bit later where where I start to uh meet up with some different people and I'll get into that when I when I start covering more of the uh Florida stuff but I I hope everybody liked the uh video I just wanted to hop on and explain some of the situation with with these programs and how my case worked and kind of where I got in trouble and then had the warrants so I hope it clears it up a little for some people that may have not may may not see you know some of my other videos or whatever the case may be I I wanted to uh cover that and and clear some of that stuff up and hopefully guys everybody uh subscribes please if you haven't subscribe yet do that it's uh important for me to build my channel and drop some com ments guys to hit the like button hopefully I'll be out with something in another couple days I want to keep some videos fresh and keep putting out some content for you guys that hopefully you enjoy and like I said if you haven't subscribed yet please do so and I should see everybody in the uh next video thank you very much for watching guys be safe everyone
