Adrian's Speech [Music] first of all I just want to thank y'all thank y'all for being here thank the parents for bringing y'all here like this is this is my hometown like this is where I grew up this is where I was raised uh ended up moving when I was 12 to Mineral Wells but this is home for me a nostalgic feeling being here seeing you young guys seeing you older guys in the position that I was once in y'all boys can do whatever y'all want y'all girls can do whatever y'all want whatever y'all put in y'all's heart it takes work takes a lot of work takes hard days weekends or nights takes sacrifice and it takes love like not the love that your parents got for you but the love that you got for yourself like it's so important that y'all realize that each and every one of y'all every one of y'all y'all are enough the more that y'all continue to put the work in put the love in and put the trust in and everything that y'all do being here is so so important for me and being here with these words is so much more important than any football camp I can put on success doesn't mean you have to make it to the NFL the NL football all sports in someday so find out what you love find out what you're passionate about and be open to all things I love y'all and I appreciate y'all this is the Adrian’s Football Camp first of many man this is going to continue to grow I'm going to continue to come back and pour into the community in ways that I've never done before because I didn't know how but now I do and that's through love through inspiration and through these words so let's go out here today I want y'all to work I want y'all to have fun for the most important yeah most importantly I want y'all to have fun and DJ kicked that let's get it yeah stand the city is up in the madness the people is giv the damage they turn into animal Savage so rhinos and hippos and mamm the hero was coming lock the to you know that I came from the do you it you get it you Dro dead the rebel Who Came From The Bottom my enemies know that I got it I'm planting my seeds and Gardens then watching them Sprout and harvest the greatest was always in my plans the kid is white flag not on my level where I stand got it I'm shooting a hot hand out of the gym I was locked out I failed the kid was a d CH the G now the city me isar going to run oh that's out the bed I'm tired shees hell yeah I'm Adrian's Childhood tiry that's big big part of my background is being from Witchita Falls born and raised there I grew up in a very hard area hard area wit Falls the east side and my mom and dad were both in the streets like my dad was a gang member my mom hung out with gang members and you know in which saw Falls and read the cober's name was not a good name like people feared the name and you know we had a bad bad rap and you know uh so that's that's the type of environment that I grew up in I grew up around drug dealers I grew up around rapists I grew up around gang members and you know people who who weren't doing good but I mean I love my parents I love my parents to death like they did what they had to do to provide for their kids and you know whether it was right or wrong it was all they knew [Music] somebody wa he didn't do nothing he didn't do nothing for real he didn't do nothing come guard me come guard me huh all right he got me right that's how you do right there it's hot but we having fun man we having fun goodness gracious it's been a blessing man having having the having a city bring the kids out next year going to be even better man trying to make this a make this a community movement man blessing these kids just with the time and know with the the presence like the presence of presence and the presence of information and you know just letting them be kids see look at them man like they so they they so free the ground hurts they speak their mind and I mean that's just that's what it's all about man every every voice is important they all got a voice the cobt name in wi it all falls will forever echo in a positive light I had to experience the the way that it was before for a reason because now I know what I don't want it to to ring when people say it I wanted to ring something of light and Love and You Know Grace and compassion and empathy not hate not fear not intimidation um I want it to be something special because the imprint that we create on this city will not only change the trajectory of my bloodline and my family in the city but it'll also change a lot of other people's because you know seeing that type of change and evolution in a family whose name was not so great um will only Inspire others for
