uh we're going to talk transfers because uh to use the correct terminology uh the transfer window slamed shut uh this coming Friday so so M I want to talk well we're going to talk through a few of the the possible transfers that they're going go through over the next few days um Arsenal your old Club we've got that agreement in principal to sign Mikel uh Marino from ra Saucy had the figure believed to be 32.6 million I mean he's had that loan spell at Newcastle previously joined ra sa that in 2018 we saw him of course in action for winning Squad at Euro 2024 for you just how good a signing would this be for Arsenal is it a needed signing for you yeah I think so I think you know what what Arsenal do and I like about Arsenal they just don't go out and buy anybody they go and look for people that are going to help their squad like they gone and bought the Italian lad as a center half to take some offload off of uh Gabrielle and CBA you need someone Midfield party don't play a lot of games you know he doesn't play a lot of games he's injured a bit I think if you bring this lad in it keeps tce further up the pitch I think rice is a better player going forward than as a holding Midfield player so I think he ticks the boxes I think this is a good signing you know as he's got older the lad he's got become a better player and that's that's what happens most of the time and I think Arsenal are getting him at a very very good time in terms of that Arsenal Midfield he's comfortable playing the left he's a kind of box-to-box midfielder where does he fit in I don't think he does straight away this is a it's a ruthless League I don't think he just comes and plays straight away and I think the price tag tells you that as well it's not like it's 90 100 million where with that kind of price tag you have to go straight into the team I think with this price tag it gives you a little bit of opportunity to to sit back and then come in I think he goes and plays where he could play where party plays he could play where rice plays now on the either one of them but he's a good player he fits Arsenal's Bill he's a good footballer and he's a good player and and I think I think they're buying a very very good football and the interesting thing sue if this one does go through in terms of settling into Arsenal an instant standing with players is he had that spell didn't heo that with Martin odard I think they created nine chances together in the 1920 season so he always has that relationship that understanding with one of Arsenal's key key players yeah and that always helps and and I think going back to what M said like he can play in different positions so he has got that that versatility yes the the left side of Midfield I think a position that artetta said that he wanted to to strengthen in he is a player that that will cover a lot of ground he can get box to box he reads the game very well and you know he's good on the ball in tight you just think when you watch him play he will just fit into that Arsenal side and like you mentioned he obviously knows erard he's played with him so you think that link play but it just gives Arsenal more options more games and if they need to rotate they need to rest they can do that so I think he's a a quality player that will really fit into this Arsenal side and in terms of potential departures by I mean Aaron ramsdale in terms of squad numbers he still has the number one on his shirt at arsal he's the number one player but he's not the number one goalkeeper by any stretch of the imagination now with David ryer he's too good a goalkeeper not to be playing U wolves have expressed interest that was last monay they made initial contact he has to be playing where's best for him to be playing oh good question um well obviously Wills have I've shown about interest I think when you look around the league um you know it's a position that you know before is it's so important um it's always been important but you you look at the way that Arsenal have evolved and brought in David R that obviously feel as he's better with the ball at his feet um but you need to he needs to be playing as you say he needs to be playing um he's he's so many saves he's had over the the years and especially big saves as well for Arsenal you think back to that one was anfield as well with the the save um you know he he Salah him inside and he got a shot away um but he's like mean you look at goalkeepers and we always think oh they can be out the team for a while and they'll come back in the exact same player exact same goalkeepers it doesn't want that you need to be playing you need to have um up to speed to get your angles correct and um you're right I I just think looking at him he's mean he's too good I mean this is world class I mean that is an unbelievable save but he's he needs to be playing and he's not going to get that I mean if you go back a few months ago when David R came in all we had was you know he's going to get an opportunity to get back in he ain't getting back in now it's not happening so he needs to defend some where he's going to well one Premier League started the last nine months tells you all you need to know about that ju Just quickly dors if he was to go to walles in terms of what they've already gotten josear between the sticks would he be an upgrade because he'll want to go somewhere where he's guaranteed a starting birth he doesn't want to go from Arsenal to another club and sit on the bench well that's something that cannot happen I always say this about loans going out to a football club if you're going somewhere it's a downgrade wherever he leaves from Arsenal it's a downgrade is he an improvement of Jose S yeah he is I mean Jose sa has been a very good goalkeeper for wolves so we we we speculating about this and obviously wolves are looking at it the options have taken him there I mean Aaron ramsdale 12 month ago we were all sitting here thinking how unfortunate it was to to lose a number one spot Arsenal it'd been absolutely brilliant I think the two previous was 38 appearances in 34 it was it was mindblowing he played an awful lot of football and out of nowhere he lost that spot David Ray has come in done done brilliant for for Arsenal but it has to go and play I mean if wolves go you look at Southampton he was he was was talked about there's no surpris as people wanted him people would want Aaron ramsdale he's been a very good goalkeeper uh but he needs to go and play football now I don't think anybody has to panic you know I'm in the place that I want to be I'm I'm really happy hopefully the club thinks the same thing and and the players are where which are in my opinion the most important ones that I look every day to them and when I'm talking to them and and we having discussions and we are planning things that you sense in their eyes that sense of belief and and hunger that that is still there so you you not expecting long talks could be over a matter of minutes could it or minutes I don't know we' we've done it in the past it's never been an issue and I don't expect that happening he seems very comfortable in his position at Arsenal doesn't he clearly looking forward to his future at the club but he has admitted to having one key regret during his time in charge and that concerns Academy graduate Emil Smith row yeah Smith row left to join filam this month in a 34 million pound deal his exit has forced the Arsenal manager to admit that he failed to get the best out of the midfielder and he feels a great sense of sadness to see him leave a lot a lot when I had a talk with ill I really felt it first of all because I had huge gratitude because he came into the team and I gave him the opportunity to come when it was a tough moment and I think he was the player that made our supporters and the team clicked in a way I don't know how to explain it but that was my feeling something Chang when he came on the team and he created a different energy St away and uh and I have a feeling like I haven't got the best out of him you know and obviously a lot of things happen in that time that not to happen but uh from my side it was really sad because I love I know how those boys feel when they in that building how work everybody works at the club to get them close to the f team so I feel huge responsibility after to to get them the chance and now okay can they sustain this level and and and make us better and that's the idea that we have as the summer transfer window approaches its end Arsenal remains Vigilant in the market particularly in search of a forward who can add quality to their squad one name that has been gaining attention is Victor jokas currently at Sporting Lisbon the Swedish Striker who had a brilliant 2023 24 season has once again caught the Spotlight by suggesting that his stay at the Portuguese club is not yet guaranteed which has raised alerts both for the Gunners and other major European clubs jokas was one of the standout performers for sporting last season scoring an impressive 43 goals in 50 games making him one of the most lethal Strikers in Europe continuing his high level performance he has started the 2024 5 campaign in style contributing six goals and three assists in the first four matches with these performances Arsenal's interest along with other giants like Chelsea has only grown as they look to strengthen their squads before the window closes on the 30th of August however what truly caught attention was joka's recent statement after scoring a hat-trick in Sporting's 5 to zero victory over fence last Friday in an interview with sport TV jokas hinted at the possibility of a transfer still happening this window despite expressing contentment at sporting we never know what's going to happen the striker said it doesn't just depend on me we'll see but I feel good here I don't feel stressed about doing anything else in football in the transfer window it's normal there are things we don't know that happen quickly but I love being here there's no stress the swedes words have left Arsenal fans on alert as the London Club is still in search of a high-profile reinforcement for their attack although Chelsea is also in the race Arsenal is seen as the more likely destination for Jokers the Gunners still have financial resources available for new new signings especially with the imminent arrival of Mikel Marino a midfielder from real sedad who is expected to strengthen Mikel Etta Squad in the coming days the possible signing of giokas would be a strategic move to ensure an even more powerful attack particularly considering the competitiveness of the Premier League Mikel Etta Arsenal's manager has not hidden that the club is always on the lookout for opportunities to strengthen the team especially in such a volatile transfer market we have to do that because anything can happen in any way Etta said when asked about the possibility of new signings you have to be ready especially in the last week you have to be alert and prepared because many surprises can come for many different reasons and
